I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER
1st September 1994
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Order of Merlin (First class), Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, Chief Warlock of Wizengamot, wilder of the elder wand, Leader of Light, Defeater of Grindelwald, Greatest wizard of Modern times, founder of Order of the Phoenix was sitting on his Golden throne in the Great Hall gazing at the swam of students entering through the doors and remembered the great summer he had so far.
At the end of the last academic year Potter and Granger had used the time turned to save Black. Yes, he wanted him out of the picture but he did not want him kissed by Dementors 'Vile Creatures.' he shuddered. Yes, with Black breaking Azkaban he had to reform his plans a bit to his favor for the ultimate confrontation of the Potter with Voldemort. So he had confounded Black to leave the country and not to be in touch with Harry. 'But he would not listen and had to write a letter to the boy.' he thought angrily. Then there was the Granger girl who was inching closer to Potter and he didn't want that, 'It's for Grater Good after all.'
The Triwizard tournament, Fudge was happy to host the tournament in the school this year. He knew that Potter would be dragged into this and he also knew there would be a strain in the friendship between the Potter and the youngest Weasley son. 'If Voldemort is resurrected I would need all the finance to bribe...err...support the light side. Ah, there is a dead basilisk in the school. I only need to find a Parselmouth to open to open it. I can do it in the next summer break, there would be no complications.' He absently noted that the sorting had begun and Minerva was coming to the P's, 'Pritchard goes to Slytherin, Potter goes- wait Potter!' He sharply glanced to the first years and saw a Burgundy haired girl coming towards the stool. The hat took almost two minutes and he used Legilimency to get to know this mystery Potter girl when the Hat announced "GRYFFINDOR!" He smiled with his Grandfather mask on his face and clapped when he heard Harry Potter started clapping. The potter girl ran to him and sat beside him, who ruffled her hair and smiled at her. She returned with the smile of her own and sat down. 'They seem to be very close. Who is she?' he mused and noted that the sorting had finished and stood and gestured his hand to start the feast.
Midway through the meal he turned to Minerva "Do you know parents of the new Potter?"
"Yes." she replied and continued to eat her food.
"And?" he probed her.
"And what?" she asked him.
"What are their names?"
"James and Lilly Potter."
His eyes widened and his mask slipped for a moment before it came back and smiled at his deputy "I'd like to talk with her after the dinner."
Minerva nodded "I will escort her to your office." and continued with her dinner.
He nodded and turned his eyes to the Gryffindor table here the Potters, Granger and Weasley were eating and talking to the house ghost. As the feast ended, he stood up and started his speech only to be interrupted by the dramatic entry Alastor Moody. After Moody was settled, he continued his speech. He finished his speech and bid the students a night and nodded to Minerva and exited the Great Hall. The last thing the saw was Minerva approaching the Gryffindor table.
Hermione was at a dilemma. She knew that she had feelings for her best friend from the ride she shared with him on Buckbeak's back to save his innocent godfather. She had shown him that she has feelings for him as more than a friend, he either has seen that and ignoring or he has not noticed. Then on the train ride he had made a new friend - Luna Lovegood, and she seems to be very close to him. She had barely controlled her anger at that witch all the train ride. She was still wary of her. Harry was walking in a more confident way and had also had a growth sprout. Then there is the situation of Aurora Potter, why hadn't he told them about her. Sure Mrs. Weasley would have taken care of her. 'After all she has seven children, she would not have been bothered to help him with his sister'. She sighed and turned a page of the book she was reading in the common room. It had been half an hour since he had gone to the Headmaster's office. Everyone in the tower had gone to bed, she was the only one in the common room. As she closed the book and got up to head to the girls' dormitory, the portrait hole opened and Harry, his sister and Professor McGonagall entered the common room.
"Harry, you are not in trouble right?" she asked him.
"Lead the way Professor"
Minerva nodded and escorted them to the Headmaster's office. But on the way she was halted as Harry had stopped to address his sister.
"Aurora, what I'm going to give you as actually your birthday present, but didn't because it was not ready." he said and pulled a silver bracelet from his pocket. It was simple, just like a band, the words 'Little Sister' had been carved inside of it. He put the bracelet around her wrist and as it resized to fit her, a spark of magic shot through her and she gasped. "It has several protection charms on it, which would protect you from minor hexes and passive Legilimency." Harry said and smiled at her. He stood up and turned to the older which and nodded.
The group came to a halt in front of the Gargoyle, "Lemon Drops!" Minerva said and the Gargoyle sprung to came near the door and herd the Headmaster's voice saying "Come in!"
Dumbledore smiled as he saw them entering his office. "Thank you Minerva. Harry my boy, what do I owe the pleasure for your visit?" he said eyes twinkling, but Harry noticed that the twinkling was dimmer than before.
"You were the one who asked for this meeting Headmaster." Harry said in a silky sweet voice.
"I asked for Miss Potter, Harry, not you."
"I know that Professor." Harry assured.
"Then I see no reason as of why you have graced us with your presence? And Minerva you can head to your Quarters."
"Professor McGonagall has to stay." Harry said with a hint of finality in his tone, "As for me, I have my reasons." he said in the same tone
"No that is not acceptable Professor McGonagall and yourself has to leave because this is a Private meeting between a student of Hogwarts and the Headmaster." Dumbledore said, the twinkling in his yes even dimmer than before.
"OK. I understand." Harry said and turned to Minerva and his sister "Come on we are going."
"Mr. Potter!" Dumbledore exclaimed.
"Yes?"
"I think I said only you and Professor McGonagall can leave, not Miss Potter."
"Well you were certainly thinking that." Harry was trying hard not to smirk and saw from the corner of the eye that Minerva had the same problem. He also saw that the twinkle in Dumbledore's eyes were almost gone.
"I will be having none of that Mr. Potter, you shall do as I say." Dumbledore said with a slight edge in his voice.
Harry decided that he did enough of the playing and focused on Dumbledore "I won't leave my sister alone in a room with that man, except classes of course." he said indicating towards the shadows.
"What do you-" Minerva started but stopped abruptly as Snape clad in his black robes stepped from the shadows.
"Why you little -"
"Severus." Snape was stopped by Dumbledore who turned his head to Harry "Professor Snape has full confidence."
Harry scoffed, "Snivellus may have your full confidence, but I don't believe him as far as I can throw him."
"Harry my boy, you should respect your teachers and elders, they have more experience than you." Dumbledore said in his grandfatherly voice.
"Respect is earned Headmaster and I don't have much time for this foolish banter, so can you tell why you called for Aurora." Harry said clearly annoyed.
Dumbledore frowned for a moment when Harry said 'foolish', but recovered quickly and turned to the eleven year old girl in the office "Miss Potter, can you tell me who your parents are?"
"Humans." Harry muttered but loud enough so that everyone in the office could hear him. Aurora giggled and he saw Minerva's lips twitch and he knew she was barely containing his laughter.
Snape growled at him, but was stopped by Dumbledore, who in turn threw a disappointed look at his direction. He once again addressed Aurora "Miss Potter I'll ask you once again who are your parents?"
"Witch and Wizard." Aurora answered with an innocent look on her face. Harry outright laughed at that reply.
"Miss Potter you shall not speak to me in that way. I'm your Headmaster, I deserve respect. Now answer my question, who are your parents?"
"Your name fits you perfectly Headmaster." Harry said laughing "Her sir name is Potter and from the time I entered this office I'm saying that she is my sister. So, by common sense my parents are her parents."
Dumbledore was outright frowning at Harry "Fine, but How did you become a Potter?"
"I was adopted" Aurora said to Dumbledore.
"Adopted?"
"Goblins" muttered Harry.
"Ah."
"Yes I'm not under your control anymore old man."
"Harry my boy, why did you take such measures to avoid me? I only had your best interest in heart."
"No Headmaster, you did not have my best interest in heart, you have your best interest in heart."
"It's all for the greater good." Harry scoffed at that and crossed his arms in front of him. "Now Harry I need to know why did you leave your relatives house without informing anyone?"
"That's none of your business."
"Why you little shit, just as arrogant as your father." Snape snarled.
"At least my father knew how to treat her." Harry smirked as the scowl on Snape's face deepened.
"You little ass-"
"Severus!" Dumbledore exclaimed.
"And senvilius don't try to use Legilimency on me or my sister, you won't like the result if you try next time." Harry growled at Snape. "That applies for you also Headmaster." Harry added.
"Harry my boy, what did I do to you, that you are angry with me?" Dumbledore asked in a grave tone.
"You have done many things Headmaster, so much that, I can write a whole book."
"Be that as it may, I need you to transfer your guardianship of Miss Potter to me, as I am the Headmaster."
Harry laughed at that. "You are completely delusional Dumbledore. If you want her guardianship, you will have to duel me. And that is not only for the guardianship, if you threaten her or compel her to do anything, you will have to deal with me."
Dumbledore blinked and looked down at his desk, "Threatening the Headmaster qualifies for expulsion."
"Expel us," Harry said, then a thought entered his mind, "Oh, you won't expel me, I know, because your golden boy won't be under your nose to control. If you want, expel us old man. And if you expel her and not me, I'll leave the school and then Britain. And you won't have your Chosen One to defeat when Voldemort returns"
"Interesting choice of words, Harry" Dumbledore said with narrowed eyes.
"That's Lord Potter to you, old man." Harry snarled.
"Would you leave the school your parents wanted you to go?" Dumbledore asked.
"My parents are dead, dead protecting me. If they were alive they would have left the country long time ago." Harry replied.
"Would you truly leave Great Britain to the horrors of the Dark Lord? Or your friends?" Dumbledore probed again
"You have already defeated one, sir." Harry said, "I'm sure another one would not be difficult to you, and as for my friends I will think what I can do."
"The argument stands still, Lord Potter." Dumbledore said "What do you want if you have to stay in Hogwarts and don't go to another school?"
"Aurora and I get to move into the Lord's Quarters for the reminder of our stay at Hogwarts - starting tonight." Harry said "And if I want a few others to move into the Quarters if I believe that they have a risk, I have the permission to do so. Also you leave me, my sister and my friends alone unless it concerns education."
"We have a deal Lord Potter, I would need the list of your friends." Dumbledore said.
"I'll give the list when they accept."
"Agreed." Dumbledore said, "Professor McGonagall will escort you to your Quarters."
"If that all Headmaster we'll take your leave. Good day Headmaster."
The two students and Head of Gryffindor house exited the office. Minerva turned to Harry and smiled at him, "Well played Harry." she said and Harry smile at her in return. Minerva continued, "And Harry your Runes exam is day after tomorrow, be ready and I will inform you about the time on the day of the exam."
"Thank you Granny Min." Harry beamed at her.
The group arrived at the entrance of the Fat lady and said the password. The portrait door swung open and they entered the common room to see a certain bushy hair girl reading a book. Harry smiled at the sight of his best friend.
"Harry, you are not in trouble right?" Hermione asked him as soon as she saw them approaching the chair she had occupied.
"Nope." He said and grinned at her. "And I'll answer your questions tomorrow, I want to sleep now." Hermione blushed and nodded.
"Lord Potter your quarters are ready." McGonagall said and indicated to the portrait of Godric Gryffindor, "You can say your password to Godric."
"Thank you Professor." Harry bid them good night, then went to the lord quarters to retire for the night.
2nd September 1994
Harry entered the common room at seven in the morning and was not surprised to see Hermione on an armchair near the fireplace. She looked up from the book she was reading and smiled and greeted him. He returned the greeting with a smile and sat on the armchair beside her. "Ready for a surprise Hermione?" he asked and she nodded in return. He stood up and held out his hand for her to take, which she gladly accepted and led her out of the common room and towards the kitchens.
They arrived and stopped in front of the painting of a large silver bowl and Hermione shot him a glance that clearly said 'Are you out of your mind', but he just grinned at her and reached with his forefinger and tickled the huge green pear. It began to squirm, chuckling, and suddenly turned into a large green door handle.
Hermione saw with amazement as Harry seized it and stepped into the room, pulling Hermione with him. She glimpsed at the enormous, high-ceiling room, large as the Great Hall above it, with mounds of glittering brass pots and pans heaped around the stone walls, and a great brick fireplace at the other end, when something small hurtled towards them from the middle of the room, squealing, "Master Harry! Miss Grangy!"
Harry toppled back a few steps as Dobby attached himself to his legs. "Dobby, how is Hogwarts?" Harry asked the little guy, much to the indignation of Hermione.
"It's good, Master Harry." the little elf said enthusiastically, but instantly his mood became somber "But Winky is being start drinking and is not stopping even if Dobby says to stop." tears welled in the little guy's eyes.
"No problem Dobby, it's not your fault."
"Dobby, where is Winky?" Hermione asked in a soft voice, still glaring at Harry, who promptly ignored her. At that Dobby seized Harry's hand and pulled him off deeper into the kitchen between four long wooden tables that stood there. Each of them, Hermione noticed as she passed them, was positioned exactly beneath the four House tables above, in the Great Hall. On the tables were various types of breakfast which were being prepared by at least hundreds of house-elves, they were all wearing the same uniform: a tea towel stamped with Hogwarts crest.
Dobby stopped in front of the brick fireplace and pointed.
"Winky, Master!" he said.
Winky was sitting on a stool by the fire. Unlike Dobby, she had obviously not foraged for clothes. She was wearing a neat little skirt and blouse with a matching blue hat, which had holes in it for her large ears. However, while every one of Dobby's strange collection of garments was so clean and well cared for that it looked brand-new, Winky was plainly not taking care of her clothes at all. There were soup stains all down her blouse and a burn in her skirt.
"Hello, Winky," said Harry.
Winky's lip quivered. Then she burst into tears, which spilled out of her great brown eyes and splashed down her front, just as they had done at the Quidditch World Cup.
"Oh dear," said Hermione. She had followed Harry and Dobby to the end of the kitchen still glaring at her best friend. "Winky, don't cry, please don't..."
But Winky cried harder than ever, while Dobby beamed up at Harry.
"Would Master Harry like to have breakfast?" he squeaked loudly, over Winky's sobs.
"No thank you Dobby. We will do it in the Great Hall and we still have to collect our time tables" said Harry, much to the sadness of the little guy.
"Harry" Hermione called in a cold voice, which had him turning to her.
"What?"
"Why is Dobby calling you Master?" she asked in a same voice.
"Because I'm his master and he is bonded to me" said Harry.
This did just added oil into the fire Hermione was feeling, "HARRY JAMES POTTER! HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO THEM! HOW CAN YOU ENSLAVE THEM? SET HIM FREE AT ONCE!" she shouted at him.
"No" Harry said in a firm tone that booked no argument. He was about to continue but was topped by Hermione's shout.
"BUT THIS IS SLAVERY! You are no good than the other blood pure-"
"STOP! Don't go into conclusions without knowing every fact of the topic." harry said in a firm voice.
At that tone Hermione subsided a bit and asked in a voice which was still laced with anger "What do you mean? I know what I'm doing, thank you very much. Now free him."
"No, you don't have all the facts, do you know why the elves bond to a witch or a wizard?" Hermione opened her mouth to answer but came short of an explanation. She closed her mouth and thought but again no valid answer came to her mind. With a resigned sigh she shook her head. "They bond because they need the magic of a witch or wizard to survive, when they are freed the magic they were taking from their bonded stops and they die slowly and painfully." explained Harry.
Hermione gasped and her eyes turned wide, she turned to Dobby for conformation and his nodding was enough for her to believe what she had just been explained. "But they should be payed for their work." she argued back.
"We bes getting payed Miss Grangy." Dobby said to the young witch.
"How much do you get payed? Do you get sick leaves?"
"No, they don't get sick leaves because they don't need them and they do get payed but not in Galleons, in the form of magic." Harry said and continued at Hermione's doubtful expression, "Look around you Hermione, see they are all happy working here. Actually they love to work. I know you don't like it but it is a fact that the house elves require a bond to survive. I know that some families treat them badly because they are heartless bas- people. We should focus is on giving them proper treatment, not on freeing them." he said in a soft voice and pulled her into a hug. "I'll be there for you Hermione, at every step, just like you have been there for Me." he smiled at her and drew her into a hug, much to her surprise. "Come on let's go the Great Hall to have breakfast" she nodded into his shoulder and pulled away from him, offering him a small smile.
"And Harry, can you tell me how you got a sister?" Hermione asked as they made their exit.
7th September 1994
Harry woke up on Wednesday morning to begin his morning routine. He went to the forest area of the trunk and began his morning jog as he contemplated the second first week of his fourth week at Hogwarts. As expected Hermione had questioned him about the meeting with the Headmaster after the first day classes and berated him for talking back to the Headmaster. He had sat and calmly explained her that he would tell her everything in time and she just need to remain calm and trust him. With that she had reluctantly calmed down and they had went to their usual routine with the insufferable git Ron. Ron, he was a story altogether. He was the same self from before but the insufferable part was taken to and new level. The day after their arrival at Hogwarts he had complained in front of the whole school that best mates shared everything and said to Harry that he should have said to him that he had a sister and that to first year midget. Harry had completely exploded at that and said clearly said to Ron that if he could not respect Aurora then he need to leave. That had shut the red head effectively and he had started talking civilly to the youngest Potter, although it seemed as if he could barely stand the presence of her. Hermione seemed to have no problem with his sister and she seemed to be a little closer to his than the most of the school. He was grateful to that she had volunteered to be with Aurora and not to frown upon her like she was some stranger.
Iris had also developed. The fangs in her mouth were visible and her horn on her head were developing fast. When he had asked her that how was she able to grow that fast in a small amount of time, she replied that if the magic of the wizard bonded to them was powerful, their magic would respond to their wizard's or witch's magic and it would help them to develop faster and powerful. He had nodded at that and decided to research more on the familiar bond.
As told, McGonagall called him to her office on Saturday and had given had given him his exams on runes and arithmancy with 30 minutes breaks in the middle. The exam itself was easy and he had blasted his way through the paper. He had got his results yesterday after dinner and he had got full marks in both of the exams. McGonagall had changed his timetable. Shockingly Dumbledore had thrown a very small fit (told by McGonagall) and had accepted his choice. Today he had his first runes class. He finished his morning exercises and exited the trunk to take a shower.
Half an hour later a fully dressed Lord Potter whose robes had the Gryffindor and Potter house symbols walked to towards his bed and saw that Iris was still curled under the sheets. She had outright refused to sleep in her heat box. After many fruitless attempts of convincing her he had accepted for her to sleep with him. He woke her up and told her to go into the extended collar pocket he had charmed into his shirt. After she had comfortably settled in his collar he went to the common room and decided to wait for Hermione and Aurora.
Five minutes later Hermione descended from the girls' dormitory and entered the common room. Her eyes brightened when she saw harry sitting in one of the armchairs. She greeted him and sat in the chair opposite to him and began chatting while waiting for Aurora. A few minutes later Aurora exited the Lord Quarters and greeted them, which they reciprocated. The group left the common room to have their breakfast.
The group of three Gryffindors entered the Great Hall and was greeted by an enthusiastic Luna, but Harry saw that her enthusiasm did not reach her eyes. He willed that he would ask her later after the classes. The group had their breakfast and Hermione exited the group first saying that she had to brief some of the runes before the class and exited the great hall. Five minutes before the bell the group went on their different ways for their individual classes.
Harry entered the Ancient Runs class with one minute left to spare and saw that the seat beside Hermione was occupied by some Ravenclaw (as this was a joint class with all the four houses), the only place vacant was beside the Slytherin girl 'If I remember correctly her name is Daphne Greengrass.' Harry thought and sat down next to her on the bench and opened his runes book, from the corner of the eye he saw her turn in his direction and raise her right eyebrow infinitesimally. He turned to her and smiled "Harry Potter." he introduced himself with a small bow of his head, even if it was completely unnecessary.
"Daphne Greengrass." she said and bowed in a similar fashion. They turned to board when Professor Babbling entered the classroom and introduced herself.
"OK class, I'm giving back your summer assignment and marked your mistakes on the parchment, and I'm very pleased that everyone submitted their work on time" With that she gave the students their homework.
Hermione smiled at that, she knew that the praise was for the whole class but that didn't stop her from grinning and feeling proud of herself at punctuality.
"Mr. Potter here is your copy of the questions of the summer assignment. I want the assignment at the end of next week. Oh...and Mr. Potter welcome to my class." the runes professor said as she stopped at the bench in which Harry was seated.
'What?' Hermione frowned and whipped her head backwards so fast enough to break it, when she heard the next voice.
"OK professor, I know that I have come a year late to the class but I'll do my best." Harry said and glanced at Hermione and gave her a wink, which did not go unnoticed by the professor.
"And I expect nothing less young man." she said and began her class.
Hermione was the first one to get up after the class finished. She practically dragged Harry - who was in a conversation with Daphne Greengrass - out of the classroom. She made her way to their transfiguration class and pushed him into the nearest abandoned classroom. "Harry why didn't you tell me that you had switched to Runes? But you should have written the third year test to get into fourth year class. Why didn't say something? I could have helped you in your preparation. Do you need any help in studying? You know you can always come to for help. I'm happy that you dropped that godforsaken subject called Divination, but you should have told me that you were dropping that subject. How many secrets are you keeping from me? First, a first year carries your surname and you declare her as your sister, second you go and drop Divination and choose Runes." at this point her eyes were shining with unshed tears. "I'm your best friend right. I thought best friends tell each other everythi-" she stopped abruptly as a pair of arms snaked around her shoulders.
Harry had an amused smile seeing Hermione rant. 'She is really cute while ranting. Cute? Where did that come from?' he thought but his thought process stopped when he saw tears in her eyes. He took a step forward and hugged her around her shoulders. She stiffened at first but a moment later relaxed into his embrace and rested her head on his shoulder and snaked her arms around his torso. "I'll tell you everything in time Hermione but now is not the time." he said and pulled back and looked at her in the eye, "You are my best friend and I don't want to keep secrets from you but this is necessary." he smiled at her and embraced her again. He felt her nod into his shoulder. "Now come on we need to go to transfiguration or else professor McGonagall will take house points. You don't want to lose your prefect position in the next year, do you?" he grinned at her and laughed softly when she smacked him in the shoulder muttering "Prat", but she had a small smile on her face. He extended his hand to her and intertwined his fingers with her's and left the classroom to their next class.
Classes for the day finished and it was two hours for dinner. Harry was going towards the Rewanclaw common room for a talk with Luna. On his way there he heard some muffled voices from the nearest classroom. He crept near the door and pressed his ear to the door.
"Do you need this?" a voice said.
"Why should we?" he heard a voice which he recognized as Cho Chang.
"Please!" Harry's eyes narrowed into slits as he heard Luna's pleading voice. He removed his custom wand circled it on top of his head - tip pointing upwards - silencing the area around the classroom.
"We have condition that you need to fulfill for us loony." he heard Chang's voice say.
"Please that my mother's, just please give it to Me." he didn't need to know that Luna had tears flowing from her eyes.
"Listen here loony, we made a deal that if you do what we tell you, we would give it back to you." the first voice said.
"No I-I'll not do a-anything for y-you." Luna said in a determined voice but it was shaking because of her sobs. Harry was fuming at this 'Nobody hurts my little Moonshine' he thought and began to plan how to approach this problem. 'I'll not go and solve this like a Gryffind-'
"Do as you are told loony" the second voice said.
'SLAP'
His thought process came to an abrupt stop when he heard the sound. His blood boiled in his veins but he took a few calming breaths and calmed himself to an extent so he would not lash out without thinking. He put silencing charms on the hinges of the door and entered the classroom and closed the door. His eyes flashed again when he saw the scene in front of him. Cho Chang and her best friend Marietta Edgecombe standing before Luna who was kneeling and had tears running down her eyes. Marietta Edgecombe was twirling a necklace around her index finger which he recognized as Luna's Mum's (she had shown it to him in his previous life). Luna was shaking her head as if she was denying, while holding her left cheek where she was slapped.
"Fine then, we will break this." Marietta Edgecombe said and threw the necklace over her head. Harry summoned the necklace towards him. After catching the necklace in his hands he looked up to see a look of shock and fear on the faces of Luna's tormentors. He smirked evilly and removed his disillusionment charm from him which made him visible to the other three occupants of the room.
Cho Chang saw him, her shock turned into a sly look and she started walking towards him with swaying her from side to side. "Hey Harry, what brings you here." she told with a thick voice and came to stand in front of him and ran a finger on his cheek.
"Cho, Cho, Cho...what would Cedric think of you if he sees you like this?" he said with a mocking tone.
"What do you mean" Cho asked in a dangerous voice.
"What? The way you acted when you saw me, I thought that you were a shameless flirt who wants to get shagged" he said with a smirk.
Cho's face went red with rage. "How dare you!" she grabbed her wand but before she was able to aim it at him, it flew into his hands and not even two seconds later another wand zoomed past her. She recognized it as he friends.
"Now listen here Chang, I want you and your friend to leave Luna alone, otherwise you will be answering to me. And keep in note that I will not be this forgiving if it comes to that." He said in a deadly tone and for an extra effect cast a wand-less glamour on his eyes to make it glow. Cho and her friend nodded and took their wand and scrambled out of the classroom. As he turned to face Luna he was attacked by a crying girl. He wrapped his hands around her and led her out of the classroom to the Room of Requirement.
Upon reaching the seventh floor, he asked the room for a place where they can sit and talk. A door materialized in front of him, he pushed the door open and entered to see a roaring fireplace with a couch in front of it. He guided Luna to sit and occupied the place next to her, and hugged her to him. She buried her face into his shoulder and cried while he rubbed soothing circles on her back. After few minutes her crying stopped and there were few sniffles he pulled her head away from his shoulder and touched her cheek which was slapped. It had formed a bruise from the force of the slap. She hissed in pain when he touched but didn't back away. He hissed a parseltoungue healing spell which he had read during the summer, while tracing his thumb over the bruised part of the cheek. A minute later the cheek was bruise free and he smiled at her, which she returned with one of her own. He put his arm around her shoulders and hugged her to him.
"Now Moonshine, I know that you are capable of fighting death eaters, but why did you allow two fifth year students to bully you?" he asked in a soft voice that said that she can tell him everything and he was making fun of her. He was startled when she started crying again. He hugged her and rocked her back and forth, in order to calm her down. "Take deep breaths little one, I'm there for you always. That is what family is for." he said and smiled at her.
Luna sniffed and offered a small smile, after lifting her head from his shoulder and began to speak. "After you died when Voldemort's killing curse hit you, Hermione saw you fall and killed Bellatrix in a fit of rage. Ron stunned her from behind and Voldemort killed Neville. Those who were captured by the death eaters and were raped and killed. And Ron, he openly accepted the dark mark and that to immediately. Hermione got the worst of all. S-She was broken within two days and t-they k-k-killed her as she was some fucking toy!" she was screaming at the end. Harry had pulled onto his lap and was rocking her back and forth in order to calm her down.
"What happened to you, Moonshine?" Harry asked gently, as wiped her tears.
"I was treated the same but not as brutal as Hermione. Cho was there constantly and used the cruciatus curse on me, while saying that you were not there to save now. They killed me the day after they killed Hermione. After that I woke up at some white place which resembled kings cross. There I met with a lady, who said that she works for fate and said that Fate wanted me to help you in this life and your destiny. Well I couldn't say no to that. I as getting a second chance to meet my brother and that to my favorite brother, how could I say no to that?" she smiled at him and rested her head on his chest.
Eventually her breathing evened out and Harry looked down to see that she had fallen asleep. He then got up and placed her on the sofa and covered her with a blanket and set the timer for an hour and started mediating.
Harry came to a familiar place (or nothingness), and concentrated on the Phoenix tears and Basilisk venom in his body. As the more he concentrated the more he became aware of his surroundings. He heard the shuffle of the feathers, crunch of a twig and sound of water. He opened his eyes to see he was in some kind of forest. He was surrounded by tall trees. There was a lake beside him. It was bigger than the Black Lake at Hogwarts. As he took a closer look he saw a disturbance in the water. A green colored rock started surfacing from the water. He immediately closed his eyes shut as he got to know what the green colored head was.
"You can open your eyes Harry. My gaze will not harm you." a deep voice, which had a trace of hissing in it said. He recognized it as the Basilisk's. He slowly opened his eyes and gazed at the basilisk from its head to tail. It was same as the basilisk he had slew in the Chamber of Secrets, but not as big. It was easily twenty feet with yellow eyes. 'I am your first form and you will learn to transform into me when you have finished learning to transform into your other forms."
Suddenly he saw a black form in the sky. As the black form neared, its features became clear and he recognized it as a Phoenix. He was shocked to see a black Phoenix or otherwise known as Shadow Phoenix. It circled them and perched down on the boulder beside the Basilisk. It had jet black eyes and it was perched majestically on the boulder. When it spoke its voice was soft and sweet, just like the song he had heard Fawkes sing. "I am your second form and you will be able to learn to transform into me after you master the last form."
He then noticed a disturbance at his peripheral vision. He turned and saw a large black panther coming out of the bushes. It was sleek and powerful. It came to a stop before him and he reached to scratch it behind its ears. It leaned into his touch and purred in comfort. It opened its eyes and he as mesmerized in the green slits like orbs, which were similar shade as his. Those green slits like orbs contained immense intelligence and it was like it was speaking to him. It moved a bit forward and licked his face and crept towards the forest.
"It's time for us to go Harry, don't think that we are different. We are a part of you, and this is just your own inner part you are bringing out. And Basilisk skin is very expensive." the Phoenix said with a twinkle in the eye, and flew away. The Basilisk also hissed its goodbye and retreated into the lake. He closed his eyes and slowly came back into the land of the living and opened his eyes to see a familiar set of grey orbs.
"Hi Luna, had a very nice nap?" he asked her in a soft voice. She smiled softly at him and nodded. "Now come on let's head to the Great hall to have dinner. After that I'll leave you near the Ravenclaw tower." She nodded and stood up and offered her hand to him. He took her offered hand and they together went to the great hall.
Harry was retiring for the night when a Gringotts official looking owl tapped on the glass. He got up and opened the window. It flew to his desk and lifted its leg which had a letter which had the official seal of the Gringotts. He took the letter and gave the owl some treats and water. After finishing what he gave, it flew out of the window into the midnight sky. He closed the window and took the letter from the desk, where he had placed it. He broke the seal and began to read the letter.
Lord Potter
We at Gringotts have gone through your files and have come to conclusions which are very disturbing. If you are free tomorrow we will arrange a meeting at 10:00 in the morning. Please send your answer via an elf of an owl. If the answer is positive, this letter is a portkey with 'Gringotts' as the activation phrase. It will directly bring you to my office in Gringotts...
Regards
Silverclaw,
Senior Account Manager of Gringotts
Harry pondered for a moment before calling Dobby and giving him a parchment which had a positive answer for the letter sent Silverclaw. After the elf had popped out to deliver the response to his account manager, Harry took his invisibility cloak and the Marauders map and headed to the Room of Requirement to collect the Diadem.
8th September 1994
"Gringotts!" Harry felt the familiar thug around the navel as the portkey activated. He landed on his arse on a cold stone floor in the office of Silverclaw in Gringotts. He had gotten the permission of Granny Min and she granted the permission after reading the letter from Silverclaw. He had told Aurora and Luna that he had family matters and asked them to pass the information to the rest of his he had exited Hogwarts and activated the portkey only to be dumped on his arse in Gringotts.
"Good morning Mr. Potter." Silverclaw said to Harry after he had stood on his two feet, "Please take a seat." After the appropriate greetings from Harry, the account manager began, "Mr. Potter, as you had wished last month we at Gringotts have gone through the Potter accounts and we are not happy at what we have discovered." He continued after receiving a nod from the wizard in front of him, "One Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore has been taking an annual amount of ten thousand Galleons annually from the year 1982. And then in the year of 1991 the sum amount equal to the Hogwarts tuition fee plus a thousand galleons has been transferred to the account of one Molly Weasley. Then in from the next year double the amount is transferred to the same account, here are the statements and the balance in your account." he said and handed a three parchments to the now fuming Harry.
Harry quickly scanned the first two parchments and saw how much did the so called Albus Dumbledore had stolen from him 'and if I ask him he would say in his sodding grandfatherly voice that it's all for the 'Grater Good'. Sod his Grated Good' Harry thought furiously. "Silverclaw, I want the whole money returned from the old man with interest. I want him bankrupted. And stop any funds he has started because of my money. Hit him with all the legalities you can find. And don't give any of them permission to access my vaults excluding Me." he said and saw the balance sheet which was the last parchment. What he saw made him drop the parchment in shock. He was, if simply put, 'Filthy Rich'. The whole of potter accounts was somewhere roughly around 2.5 billion Galleons. He could buy the Malfoy ten times and still have some money left. That was not including the Peverell, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Slytherin.
For the next one hour the goblin and the wizard spoke about the matters of the account and their solution. "It was great meeting with you Silverclaw. I've heard that Goblins are best curse-breakers." Harry said and at the goblin's nod he continued, "I want to show you a memory and I have a question about it. Would you be willing to view the memory? It will be worth the watch."
Silverclaw nodded and Harry drew his wand after asking permission from the account manager. In the meantime drew a crystal from one of the desk drawers and placed it on the table. "Tap your wand on the crystal, it will absorb the memory and will project it." Harry did as he was told and tapped his wand to the crystal. Silverclaw was intruded as to what this young Lord wanted to show him. He believed him when he said that the memory would be worth a watch, because of his dealings with the teen had told him so, even if it was only two times. This lad had shown a lot of respect to them, while the wizards double of his age would sneer at them, consider them as a filth or categorize them as monsters. After the memory was absorbed into the crystal, he waved his finger over it. whatever he thought the memory was he was not prepared for what he saw when the memory was played.
Harry thought hard about his experience in the Chamber of Secrets to give the memory to Silverclaw. After he tapped his wand which had the strand of the memory, he watched in fascination as the crystal sucked the memory into it. As he removed his wand from the crystal, Silverclaw waved his finger on it.
Once the memory was completed Silverclaw sat on his chair in shock. His only thought process were that the young teen in front of him has faced that monster all by himself and with only a sword. 'I have to tell the director immediately.' he thought and excused himself from the office and ran directly to the director's office. He came to a halt in front of the secretary "Is the director available? I need to see him immediately."
The secretary nodded his head and went inside, only to come out a few moments later and said "He is waiting for you, sir."
Silverclaw nodded and entered the office. He greeted the director who was seated behind the desk and received a nod back. He told the director the entire incident in the memory and asked him to accompany him to his office. The director rose from his seat and accompanied the Potter account manager to his office, while barking some instructions, about canceling all his meetings for the day, to his secretary. The Director of Gringotts and the Potter account manager made their way to Silverclaw's office where Harry was currently sitting and reading a book. Silverclaw entered the room and cleared his throat to get the teen's attention.
Harry glanced from the book he was reading to see the Director of Gringotts had accompanied Silverclaw. He stood up and greeted him and sat down after the two goblins had taken a seat. Silverclaw once again started to play his memory of the chamber incident. Once the memory was finished,
Ragnok stared at the teen in front of him with respect. "That was truly brave Lord Potter. If you don't mind me asking, what did you do with the carcass?"
"It's still there in the Chamber." Harry said.
"It's worth a fortune Lord Potter. You can't simply ignore ignore it." Ragnok said to the teen in front of him.
"Yes I know that, I had actually wanted to contact you on the matter of rendering the carcass but did not know how to do that. Then by luck I got Silverclaw's letter." Harry said to the Goblin Director.
"Hmm...That is worth a fortune. How about Saturday, I will bring a team which are expert at rendering the carcass to Hogwarts."
"That would be lovely, I will owl you the time tomorrow."
"Good, is there anything else you want to discuss with us?"
"Ah...yes Director," Harry said and continued at Ragnok's nod "In the memory, you saw a dairy which I stabbed with the Basilisk fang. I got curious and did some research and found out that it was Voldemort's horcrux."
Thank you for reading!
