~Chapter 3~
~Oh, What A Night!~

Kirito hummed to himself as he waited for Argo to arrive, having been asked to wait for her on the thirty-seventh floor's main town area. What surprised him was the fact that she had asked him to meet her here at six in the evening, and his curiosity played on his mind to what she could possibly have in store for him.

"Kirito?"

Kirito raised his head, turning to find Asuna looking at him with a gentle smile on her face. He watched her tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear, returning the smile with one of his own.

"Good evening, Asuna! You look lovely tonight," Kirito softly spoke, enjoying the flustered look on the rapier-user's face from the blatant words. He idly noted he must've spent too long around Argo if he's begun picking up her habits for teasing people and enjoying them blush. "What're you up to, tonight?"

"O-Oh, n-not much," Asuna stammered, coughing into her hand lightly to regain her composure. Taking a deep breath and exhaling, a more weary smile returned to her face. "I've got a meeting that I need to attend with the Knights, so I thought to get a small bit of training before food. But what about you? It's not like the great Black Swordsman to sit about doing nothing~" she teased lightly, earning a charming grin from him in response. Well, to her at least.

"Kii-bou! Nacchan!" Argo hollered, swiftly making her way to the duo with a grin on her face. "Sorry'm late, Kii-bou! Had a pesky bastard tryin' to scam me for some useless intel he had," she frowned, making the other two frown in response. "Good ta see ya though, Nacchan! Sorry ta steal Kii-bou from ya, gonna need his help with a quest," Argo apologized, answering on Kirito's behalf. Asuna's smile slipped a touch but managed to save it.

Both of them noticed how fake it was, since her eyes dimmed from that response.

"Asuna-chan? Would you like to meet up tomorrow for some food?" Kirito offered, both meaning the gesture but also trying to run damage-control for the crestfallen woman. "I know your cooking is undoubtedly much better than what the NPC's offer but I wanna give you a little break from everything. Think of it as a thank you for your hard work, and a small treat for you to unwind~" he offered, holding out his hand.

Asuna was stunned, while Argo grinned widely. The former blushing as she slowly took the hand before gently shaking it, while the latter was impressed at how he managed to save the situation. Inwardly, however, she was troubled since this seemed to complicate things. Seems she'd have to have a chat with her sister, behind closed doors.

"I-I'd… like that, thank you!" Asuna shyly responded, floored by the offer that he made, and blushing at the honorific he used for her. She couldn't fight the bright smile that made its way to her face, her eyes shimemring slightly before she froze. She glanced at the clock, and noted she only had a few minutes left to make the meeting.

"I-I'll message you later, a place and time! I got to go! Goodnight both!" she bowed hastily before jogging away. Both Kirito and Argo sighed in relief on watching her go, before the latter elbowed him gently.

"Ara ara~ Look at Kii-bou becomin' a ladies' man, sa~" Argo teased relentlessly, undeniably proud of him in that moment as he swatted her elbow away playfully. "Good on ya ta spot the change of mood, though," she commented a little more seriously, earning a sheepish smile from Kirito.

"Guess I just picked up some things from you, and it seemed to work," he replied honestly, a small smirk on his face as he delighted in the small blush on Argo's face. Her eyes turned half-lidded as she slowly leaned into his personal space, both arms locking him in place in his seat on the bench.

"Trust me, Kii-bou, there's plenty more ta learn~ Keep this up, an' I might have ta give ya a… physical demonstration, sa~" Argo all but purred into his face, licking her lip slowly afterwards to drive the words home. She could feel his reaction to her words, her inner thigh making note of what Kirito hid; an even more lusty look on her face as she slowly pulled back.

"Not ta burst ya bubble, but we gotta mosey, Kii-bou! It's time-sensitive," Argo returned to business, grabbing his hand as the Teleport Crystal activated.

~KArgo Shipping Express~

(Timeskip)

"Whew! Now that was a blast!" Argo grinned widely, turning around to a content Kirito who took a moment to regain his breath. He hadn't expected such a difficult task, something she explained to him being a 'Sprint Quest'; in which someone had a limited amount of time to get something from point A to B.

This one offered a passive skill that increased their sprint ability, by how much energy it took from them, and the speed in which they were able to sprint at; something that Argo benefited from greatly given her dagger-usage. Though he had to admit, it also benefited him quite nicely in the long run given his usage of rushing in to switch attacks with the others.

"I-If only… this existed in… the real world…" Kirito quipped between breaths, making a note that he needed to work on his sprinting the next time he trained. Argo gave him a thumbs up, alongside a cheeky smile that made him huff in amusement. She gently grabbed his arm and pulled them towards an isolated bench facing the sunset, the two taking a moment to catch their breaths.

"I can kinda see why Nacchan has her eye on ya," Argo spoke out of nowhere, surprising Kirito as he listened to the more wistful tone of voice from the info-broker. "Yer a surprisingly dependable guy, and not too harsh on ta eyes, sa~" she flirted slightly, waggling her eyebrows in response. Kirito snorted in amusement, turning to watch Argo as she faced away from him.

"You're pretty close with Asuna, it seems," Kirito inquired, earning a grin despite her not turning to face him. She did look at him from the corner of her eye, though.

"Well, ya? She's my sister after all~" Argo revealed, making Kirito choke on his spit from the revelation. "It's my idea ta stay separate though, an' she don't like it," she confessed, shrugging slightly. "I'm sure ya know why, though," she asked rhetorically, earning a nod from him in response.

It was a dangerous game revealing that you had a relative in a game, let alone a death game like this one they were currently in. If that news got out to anyone, they would have Argo by the literal balls by using that knowledge against her. Seeing him nod allowed her grin to tone down into more of a naturally cheeky smile.

"We still talk, through ta DM's 'bout stuff going on, an' she's mentioned ya quite a bit," she commented, her face going passive with the statement. "It kinda worries me, if I'm honest. It's pro'ly the first time she's ever shown interest in a guy, yanno?" she spoke, turning to face him properly.

Kirito was mostly oblivious when it came to most things but since hanging out with Argo, he's begun to understand what isn't said when something is. How words can have a thousand different meanings underneath the surface. He wasn't sure but he thought he might have caught on to what Argo was trying to say to him, and he couldn't find the words to respond.

"... tha' look says enough, Kii-bou," Argo grinned, though a lot more nervous than before than any he had seen from her. "It tells me that ya got where I was goin', an' that you know," she nodded slowly. Kirito softly nodded in response, thanking his time with Argo helping him out in this predicament. A soft smile rested on his face, turning to face her fully.

"I'm… speechless, honestly," Kirito nervously spoke, scratching the back of his neck out of habit before gently scooting himself closer to her. "I'm nothing special, you know? I'm just a NEET, who's good at video games more than anything," Kirito ruefully grinned, earning a small chuckle from Argo. A quick flash of lust sparked in her eyes, as they turned half-lidded once more at him.

"I dunno, Kii-bou~ I'm startin' ta think ya got a natural affinity with swords~" she purred to him, earning a slight smack in response and laughing loudly from his response. Kirito shook his head, a grin on his face despite the innuendo made by her.

"I do mean it when I say that Asuna's beautiful, and that she's a wonderful woman who should be a touch more confident in herself," he explained, letting his hand slowly link with her own. Fingers locking around one another, like a puzzle sliding perfectly into place, as he continued.

"Yet despite everything, you've been a whirlwind of chaos in my life and I've never had such fun before," he sheepishly admitted, earning a wide-eyed look in response to his words and his gestures. "I don't think I want this whirlwind to die down, just yet~"

Argo found her words stolen from her, alongside her breath as she listened to Kirito. She hadn't expected to reveal this to him, she didn't even think that she would find herself in a position in which she would admit she had developed something for him. Much like her sister, he had become the first guy she had ever taken an interest in. Talking about him with her sister was a risky gamble for them both since there would always be that sisterly bond with one another…

… she was afraid how it'd turn out if one of them ended up with him. And now that fear has come to pass. It was going to hurt, telling this to Asuna. Yet she deserved to know, and she would talk to her alone about it.

Despite that thought, she lurched forward in an act of impulse. Her hand unlinked from his, arms flinging themselves around his neck and taking that leap of faith. Her lips smashed into his own with unrestrained need, and shuddering when she felt him return the affection. His own arms snaked around her hips while pulling her closer to him, letting her straddle his lap as the two continued to kiss.

'Oh, what a night~' Argo thought, using the crystal mid-kiss to Teleport them somewhere secluded so she could fully explore~

~Chapter End~

Y'all don't realize just how much I love writing Argo~

And I have my sister to blame, Tigercry, for making me adopt the idea that both Asuna and Argo are sisters! Is it canon? Nope! Is any of this canon? Nope! So I have free-reign to go chaotic! :D

Nevertheless, I do hope you all enjoyed this one! Much love to ya, as always, and remember to stay foxy~! =^.^=
