Heyooo! It's me~
I know I missed a day, and I do apologize! A lot of stuff happened yesterday so I completely forgot about doing the prompt! :P
Nevertheless, now that the physical connection has been made? It's time for something a bit more emotional between them both and the lives that they lead. Also, since this is AU? Asuna and Argo don't have a brother. So it'll let me finish this cleanly without a continuation into Alfheim Online, since it's meant to only be a series of shorts~
So! With that said, a delayed day seven of seven ready for ya! :3
~Chapter 6~
~Taste Of What's To Come~
"Ne, Ar-chan? I just had a thought," Kirito blurted out of nowhere, upsetting the quiet that settled between both himself and his girlfriend. The bad weather passed by around a week ago, yet too soon for either of their tastes.
"Uh-oh! Should I find cover first, Kii-bou? Ya scare me when ya get ideas~" Argo playfully retorted back, earning a snort of amusement from him as he shoved her gently. Shaking his head, his smile widened considerably before turning to her with a primal look in his eyes.
"Last time I had a good idea, you were busy moaning my name. Repeatedly, might I add~"
Argo had the decency to blush hard at the insinuation, conceding the point readily to him as her mind flashed back to their near-week long rump of continuous kissing, heavy-petting, and sex. She didn't regret a single second of it, yet she knew it was mostly thanks to his impressive drive he was able to satisfy her.
"Fiiiiine~ Ya win that one, sa~" Argo smirked, hopping up to kiss his cheek before carrying on their way. "So whatcha thinkin' 'bout?" she asked, a curious upturn of her eyebrow accompanying the question.
"Well, I remember Asuna-chan mentioning something about being free from her mother for some reason or other. I just… I wanna know more about you both and what madness I've signed up for exactly~" Kirito grinned, earning a giggle from Argo before she hummed in thought.
"It's a… complicated affair," Argo began, searching for the right word to use and letting her accent drop once again. "Even though I'm Nacchan's sister, our mother practically thinks me dead to her. All because I refused to do what she wanted of me," she spat out, slightly soured for talking about it but doing so nonetheless for him.
"We're both daughters to the current CEO of RECT Inc. and our bitch of a mother, who is a control-freak who wants to decide our lives down to the finest detail! All because she wants to keep her fucking upper-class status!" Argo ranted, cussing out of character from just how soured she was. She felt herself being pulled into his side, and taking the moment to stop and return the embrace.
"Sorry," she apologized, rubbing her face against his torso and letting his scent calm her down. She soon broke away, a thankful smile on her face as she took his hand into her own. "But yeah, our father did the best for us both despite how busy his work is. I have nothing but respect for him because he didn't like how we were being treated, and did his best to give us the chance to live for ourselves. It's just a heavy crown we both wear," she admitted, sighing forlornly by their circumstances back in the real world.
"Heavy is the head that wears the crown, right? Isn't that a Shakespeare line?" Kirito responded, getting an elbow to the ribs in response. He could see the smile on Argos face though, and was glad she saw the humor in his words. "I can't imagine how difficult that must be for you both."
"I cut myself free from that burden," Argo shrugged, squeezing his hand slightly for comfort. "I told her that I wouldn't live by her rules. She doesn't get to decide my life for me, and she certainly doesn't get to choose who I fall in love with! So I moved out and got my own little place which is… probably gonna smell bad," she sheepishly grinned, earning a loud bark of laughter from Kirito.
"I can't imagine how Suguha is taking this," Kirito commented off-handedly, seeing the confusion on her face. "Sugu is my sister back in the real world, though she's really my cousin. I lost both my parents in a car accident, and they died on impact. Since then, my aunt took me in and I've lived with them ever since. I think it's the first time I've ever spoken about her," Kirito murmured towards the end, feeling his girlfriend's arms wrap around his waist. He allowed another smile to show, unknown to her, as he returned it.
"Seems we're both victims of circumstance, huh?" Argo quipped lightly, earning a snort in response. "Though I'm sure your parents would be proud of you and the man you've become, Kazuto-kun~" she encouraged him, gently pulling him down to steal a long kiss from him. The two stayed that way before pulling back, a small giggle of giddiness escaping from her that soon turned into shared laughter.
"Well, I've heard through the rumor mills about a small quest that involved a pair of rings," Kirito hinted, earning her undivided attention. "It can only be taken as a pair, and finished as a pair. I'm sure you know where I'm headed with this, Saka-chan~"
She froze. Only for a split second. Before the truest, beatific smile burst forth on her face as eyes settled in firm determination.
"Why, dear Kazuto-kun, that sounds like you're proposing to me~ If my acute feminine instinct is spot on, and that is the case? Then I'm afraid that you're gonna be stuck with me, good sir~" she replied, watching his eyes light up in response to her words.
He was too cute sometimes. His reactions were the absolute best and never failed to brighten her mood. Was it too soon? Maybe. Though the circumstances were anything but normal, given they were both trapped in a game that would spell permanent death for them if they fucked up. The thought of being married to him?
The smile never stopped growing. She yanked his arm and the two of them changed their destination to make sure that they completed that little quest first, knowing where the quest starts as part of her info-brokering skills.
"Leggo, Kii-bou! Yer blushin' bride ain't gonna wait any longer to get hitched!" Argo hollered, slipping back into her accent as they both made their way back to the main town area before switching floors. Kirito picked up the pace, sweeping Argo off her feet and carrying her bridal-style. She hooted loudly, not caring who watched them both making tracks to their destination.
It was just a taste of what's to come, after all~
~Chapter End~
And there we have it! As I mentioned, I do have one more chapter for you all! I will be wrapping it up tomorrow for you all, and bring this KArgo pairing challenge to an end~
I hope you've enjoyed these little shorts of the two together, and that you will still see me soon! Since I've finally decided on a decision regarding ETK! But for now, have a wonderful day/night and stay foxy! :D
