Four years have passed since the end of the war when Effie returns in to Haymitch's life once again. An old friendship is renewed. Will it lead to something more? The only problem is that girl is Katniss Everdeen, victor and cold blooded murderer.

Panem is at war with the Hybrids, creatures created in the laboratory by the Capitol. After the war is over and a treaty is made and the nation must learn to live with the Hybrids as allies.
