"You've remembered your axe?"
"Yes, Granny."
"And your Arsenic?"
"Yes, Granny."
"Your books of useful torture techniques?"
"Yes, Granny."
"How about your-"
"If she doesn't shut up I will go against my oath of not harming her."*
"Granny, I have everything that I need I assure you."
Granny hurumphed. "I'm just trying to make sure that you don't disappoint our family as I'm sure you will."
Malefic, had she been any ordinary child, should've been hurt by this comment but she was no ordinary child.
"You've all ready disappointed the family enough by being stripped of your title by Lady Magick herself. Nothing I do can live up to such a thing," Malefic shot back.
Perhaps there was was some animosity between the two females after a month of grueling training but as an Addams it was more in good fun than actual attempt to harm the other.
Granny observed her then seemed to give an approving nod. In most cases Malefic would've been slightly surprised by the seriousness on Granny's face but over the course of the last month she had seen that seriousness a lot.
"Ma Petite Mort!" Gomez exclaimed, ignoring the scandalized looks he revived, as he and Morticia approached from the crowd. "I saw that beautiful blonde man again - the one from Diagon if you remember. He was looking mighty dashing and his wife too was something to swoon over."*
Morticia smirked. "Truly a gorgeous couple, Gomez thoroughly traumatized the man - Lucius, his wife said his name was - which made them all the more ravishing."
Malefic didn't even blink, all too used to her parents openness of their intimacy. "Do they have any children?"
"Yes, a young lad. Heir to the Noble House of Malfoy, he seemed rather startled by us, a rather reveling feeling if I say so myself."
"Mon Amour, you most certainly do not," Morticia informed him.
"Querida, that was French!" Gomez exclaimed and peppered kisses all along his wife's arm.
Morticia only watched him with an amused smirk before looking back to her daughter. "Malefic, I do hope you have a horrible time at Hogwarts. Know that I am exceptionally proud of you."
"Of course, Mother. Do send an owl when the baby is born, I'd like to meet the little monster," Malefic told her.*
"Remind them of Samhain, your father seems the forgetful type," Facilier muttered.
"I'll be seeing you on the weekend of Samhain, do not forget to pick me up. And do make sure to feed Lurch those potions I've left for him every week, we wouldn't want him to start falling apart would we?"
"Of course," Morticia agreed. "Gomez, say your farewells now."
Gomez immediately let go of his wife and turned all his attention to his daughter. "Ma Petite Mort!" He cried out. "You have grown as beautifully as a Belladonna - and I do not mean your aunt - truly, you have come to be a true Addams! Remember to send home a souvenir should you kill someone!"
"I will, Father," Malefic assured him. "I must be getting onto the train now. Send my disregards to Wednesday and Pugsley. Farewell."
She turned and glided to board the train, not once looking back to look at her family, who too had turned and left.
"Lady Addams!" Malefic heard a voice call out as she searched for a compartment to sit in.
"Heir Nott," she murmured turning to face the boy.
Heir Nott bowed to her and she in turn curtsied and allowed him to kiss the air above her hand. "What can I help you with, Heir Nott?"
"I invite you to sit with myself and my friends." He said friends but Malefic had enough etiquette and political learning to know that most of whom he sat with were more allies and acquaintances than friends.
Malefic eyed him for a moment before giving a short nod. "That sounds agreeable Heir Nott."
He led her to a compartment that was a couple down from where she had been standing.
It was occupied by two boys and two girls. Each was attractive in their own right.
One of the boys Malefic guessed was the Malfoy heir that her father had mentioned. He had pointed features and bleach blond hair as his father had been described. Her father had commented on Lucius Malfoy's curvy, rather androgynous, figure and Malefic noted that the Malfoy heir was built just the same.
The other boy was almost the exact opposite. Where Malfoy was pale, this boy had black skin and a muscular build. His lips were full and pulled into a smirk while he examined her just as she was him, only he did it more openly. She noted idly that his eyes were purple, not common but certainly not something to make a spectical about.
"Heir Malfoy, Heir Zabini, Heiress Greengrass, Miss Parkinson, may I present to you Lady Malefic Addams of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Addams," Heir Nott introduced her before she could set her gaze onto the girls.
Heir Zabini, for the other was definitely Heir Malfoy, stood and bowed to her. "Lady Addams, well met. I am Heir Blaise Zabini of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Zabini."
Malefic curtsied. "Well met Heir Zabini." She looked to Heir Malfoy who stared at her as if she were beneath him, oh that would not do, not at all.
"Heir Malfoy, heir to the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black and the Noble House of Malfoy," he drawled not getting up or saying a greeting.
Malefic grinned at him, a grin that was more predatory than friendly. "The Ancient and Most Noble House of Black?" She asked titling her head to the side. He smirked as if to say 'now you see how you are beneath me'. The smirk quickly vanished at her next words. "I believe you are mistaken."
"Oh?" said one of the girls. She was blonde, a golden blonde unlike the Malfoy heir and she had the features of what Morticia had described princesses in horror stories to look like. Though her cold assessing blue eyes made Malefic overlook the pastel-loving appearance that she seemed to exude. "How would he be mistaken?"
"Lady Addams, Lady of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Addams and Heiress to the Ancient And Most Noble House of Black. Well met," Malefic reintroduced herself lifting her left hand ever so slightly allowing the ring on her finger to flash from the Addams family crest to the Black family crest.
"Well met," the blonde purred looking every bit like the cat who had caught the canary. "I am Heiress Daphne Greengrass, Heiress to the Most Noble House of Greengrass. Draco," she said abruptly looking to the Malfoy Heir (who looked as if Malefic had killed his dog (which was ridiculous as Malefic was more likely to raise his dog from the dead)), "why have you been laying a false claim onto a house that isn't yours?"
Heir Malfoy looked at Heiress Greengrass, mouth gaping as if searching for words that weren't there. It seemed all of his etiquette training had disappeared.
"Yes, Heir Malfoy," Malefic added, a threatening lilt to her voice, "why have you been claiming my house as your own? Are you perhaps attempting line theft? You can try. In fact I dare you to. You will be dealt with swiftly and your blood will clothe me in victory."
Heir Malfoy choked. Heiress Greengrass and the other two heirs looked delighted by the turn of events. The last one, Miss Parkinson, was staring at Heir Malfoy in what looked like betrayal.
"I-I-no!" Heir Malfoy sputtered. "No, I am not attempting line theft! I-my mother was a Black! With all of my family unavailable aside from myself and her I thought it was me that the heirship would go to!" It seemed the mention of his mother seemed to remind him of his etiquette because he straightened and very stiffly bowed his head. "It was a mistake on my part Lady Addams for assuming. I humbly apologize. If I may ask how are you the heiress?"*
Malefic eyed him then sat in the seat that Heir Zabini was gesturing to beside him. "You may not ask," she finally told him. "And your apology has been noted."
Facilier slithered out from beneath her robes and gave a contented hiss when he saw the Malfoy Heir pale further. "You dealt with that well."
Malefic gave him a look as if to say "then why are you out in the open?"
Facilier picked up on this and gave the snake variation of a chuckle. "I thought perhaps you'd like to send a message."
And Heir Malfoy was such a pale shade of white that Malefic couldn't help but agree.

* Facilier does not like Granny. Like at all. Malefic knows this and made him take an oath not to harm her. The reason for this is because Malefic loves Granny so much - okay, no. She did it because she's an Addams and she revels in making Facilier deal with someone he hates so much.
* Yeah so Gomez met Lucius Malfoy in Diagon and invited him into their bed as I believe that the Addams parents would be open to inviting others into their bed as long as it's fun, consensual and the other partner (in this case Morticia) approves of it.
* Up until this point I couldn't decide where I wanted the timeline to fall for the Addams' or if it fell anywhere specific at all. I've finally decided that Malefic's first year will take place during the same time as Addams Family Values (with some minor timeline changes for the sake of the plot)
* Some might say this was out of character for Draco Lucuis "Wait Till My Father Hears About This" Malfoy. I say I can do what I want. Also, no one in the books had ever threatened to slander the House of Malfoy and also clothe themselves in Draco's blood, we don't know how he'd react but from what we can see Draco is lowkey a fraidy cat and also takes great pride in his family name. For both his family and life to be threatened he would obviously be afraid, until that self preservation kicks in and he deals with it in a way that he knows will work.
Where are Malefic's owls and her luggage you may ask! Well Gomez packed her truck away for her when they got there and they let the owls fly to Hogwarts on their own journey before they left the Mansion.
I am aware that past me promised a sooner update, what past me didn't realize is that in the next month his grandmother would die, his mother would fall into depression and he would have to take the responsibility of looking after his brothers and have to balance his school life and mental health on top of all of that. I'm sorry that I didn't update but my priorities weren't on this story and currently still aren't. I'll try to work on the next chapter and hopefully it will be ready sooner than later but I make no promises and I owe no one promises.
Hope you all are staying safe and enjoyed this scrappy chapter.
