Author's Note: Hey everyone this is the epilogue! When I originally wrote this fic I had planned to do another one taking place after it, but I'm not sure if I will now. I have another Dotty fic percolating in my head instead (so watch out for that one). But I decided to leave the tag ending in so I can come back and write a sequel one day if I so decide. Enjoy!

Epilogue

The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and for the moment, Letty didn't mind the peace and quiet one little bit.

Especially because this morning's quiet sounds were accompanied by a deep feeling of restfulness she hadn't remembered experiencing in a long time. She stretched with a little yawn, turning beneath the soft sheets to snuggle against Dom's back. He murmured and shifted to turn over, wrapping his arm around her and drawing her against his chest. She sighed and listened to the steady sound of his heartbeat as he stroked a hand through her hair.

"This is nice, isn't it?" he murmured, dropping a kiss atop her head.

"Mmm hmm… remember what sleeping in is like?"

"It's coming back to me now," he laughed.

She figured they more than deserved a little break away, even though she felt a little bad leaving Marcus with Brian and Mia only a couple of months after their new baby had arrived. Still, she wasn't going to spend time feeling guilty. This week away would be over before she knew it and they'd be back to their new routine. To the garage and the house and parenthood.

"You know," Dom began, interrupting her thoughts. "If we want to give Marcus a sibling we can get all these early mornings over sooner rather than later…"

She looked at him, startled, and then laughed. "Oh, that's your logic, huh?"

Before Marcus that suggestion probably would have freaked her out a hell of a lot more than it did. Still, the idea made her inside flutter nervously. She was already a mom, for all intents and purposes. And she hadn't been prepared for that. If she decided to do it again, this time it would be her choice. She knew if she told Dom no that he wouldn't push it. He'd be disappointed, but he would respect her decision.

She fingered the edge of the sheet, thinking about it. Dom let her, his hand stroking idly at the line of her hip. It felt soothing.

She looked at him and he met her gaze. "Maybe…" she said. "I'm leaning towards a yes but… let me think about it." It wasn't like it would happen tomorrow anyway. She'd have to go off her birth control and let it get out of her system.

He was grinning at her like she'd already said yes, and she sort of had, but Letty leaned down to kiss that stupid smile off his face anyway, laughing when he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her down atop him.

"Well then I say let's get practicing," he murmured, rolling her onto her back and kissing her again, deeper.

Cipher sat in the dark, cement-walled, narrow cell, on the single slab bed that jutted out of the wall. She stared at the closed door, listening as footsteps came closer. There was a clanging noise and the flap over the slit in the door slid open. She stood and moved closer to accept the tray of food.

"Thank you," she told the guard, who wordlessly reclosed the latch and walked away.

Cipher waited for the footsteps to recede again before sitting. She ate the bland food silently, then turned over the empty tray. A slim cellphone was taped to the bottom. She used the fork to work it free and removed the tiny screws on the back of the phone with one tine of the fork. She took it apart and then put the pieces back together differently, turning the device on.

When the call connected, she lifted it to her ear. "It's me," she said. "I'm calling in that favor you owe me."
