Who am I?

I'm just an avid reader of original stories and fanfictions with creative ideas. I've read stories set in a variety of universes with the distribution matching the number of interesting works out there. (a large percentage of Harry Potter and Naruto fanfics in comparison to the others) I am NOT a fan of bad writing and rubbish plots.

What do I read?

Some of my favorite story ideas include comedic time-travel / dimension hopping / overpowered protagonist (looking at you nonjon, among others), alternate non-canon locations (of which there are many), and a more in depth explanations of magic or technology and the principals under which they operate.

Another thing I enjoy are interesting crossover ideas. Some of the more interesting ones I have some across are Harry Potter / A.V.A.T.A.R. and Harry Potter / Firefly-Serenity crossovers but there are many more out there just waiting to be read and explored.

What do I dislike?

One of the things I cannot stand are incomplete stories. They make me want to tear out my brain and bleach all memories of it away just to get over the constant longing for more. I, personally, try to only stick to reading complete fanfics but occasionally get caught in the trap of not realizing that I have started a series of stories of which only the first few I checked were complete. (I died a little when I realized Miranda's Second Chance at Life trilogy was incomplete and hasn't been updated for years...)

That being said, I'll try to keep my favorites list filled with fan fictions that I think are great and are complete. (Incomplete ones'll probably be listed on this page with a large warning 'sign')

Will I write?

I'm looking into perhaps writing my own Harry Potter fan fictions to use as a springboard for testing a bunch of new ideas I may or may not use in future stand-alone novellas. There are three stories I currently have ideas for. One would be a smorgasbord of fictional universes all crammed into one story with an epic overarching plot. I'm very interested in a way to make all the different 'types' of magic and technology from different universe work together whilst still making some sort of sense.

The second one is actually a fanfiction of a fanfiction of a fanfiction of Harry Potter. A while ago I read Silverfawkes's Yet Another Universe and it's incomplete sequel as well as transportation's complete sequel and decided that this idea needs more exploration. My idea is to explore a more Ravenclaw Harry, seeing as the previous two universes hsf s Harry that was more Slytherin and Hufflepuff and that Gryffindor was covered in the canon universe. I think this would be something fun to write and could potential lead into an actual cross-dimensional storyline or something - depending on how far I get.

Investigating Another Universe (indefinite hiatus)

Chapter 1 - 1%

The third one is The Dream of an Avenger. It is set in the 21st century and is about a young Albus Severus Potter whose family was murdered. The idea behind this story is to explore alternate schools, magic in other countries and fiddle around with the very foundation of magic. I'm looking to include a lot of diversity in this story and am setting up a large over-arching plot in order to do so. Different types of magical creatures and societies, different forms of magic and even different magical tools shall all be included. This one might take a while and will probably have many breaks as I decide upon what I should write next / if I need to get better at writing before writing more.

Things to Read?

Over my adventures across the landscape of fan fiction, I've found numerous interesting stories. Whilst I'll populate my favorites list with all the stories I have enjoyed, I'll also be listing those few that I found truly spectacular below. Furthermore, to keep incomplete stories out of my favorites list, I'll also link to a bunch of incomplete stories that I have enjoyed.
