AN: Damn, I'm outta practice writing fight scenes. I knew I shouldn't have gone on that small hiatus with my Mortal Kombat story!

Also, fun fact, I intended to finish both Samael and Hadrian's intro arc at the same time, but when I crossed 5k+ words, I realized I needed to split them up. If it's any consolation, Hadrian's arc will be finished by tomorrow at the latest!

Hope you all enjoy this chapter!

Samael Hord dodged another burst of fire from the shotgun gauntlets his opponent was using. He had to admit, fighting this insane blonde woman was rather fun. The fact that he didn't bring out his lightsaber yet and was limiting his use of the Force was only an added bonus.

No high stakes. No complicated politics. Just two strangers wanting to beat the piss out of each other. Oh, how I've missed this.

The blonde woman tried to follow through her punch with a sweep to his leg. Samael, in response, did a simple backflip jump. The blonde woman, undaunted, went for a hook punch, only to be stopped by an outer forearm block.

"Not bad." Samael remarked, smirking. His orange eyes sparkled with amusement. The blonde woman snarled, before coming in with another hook punch from her other arm. Samael, in response, blocked her punch and grabbed both her arms. The blonde woman barely had enough time to react before Samael headbutt her in the nose. As the woman was disoriented, Samael performed a spinning round kick at the woman's head, knocking her down to the ground. With his opponent disoriented, Samael quickly brought his foot down on the woman's head. His opponent recovered quite admirably, and was able to roll out of the way as his foot hit the ground, cracking the asphalt.

The two circled around each other, one wary of her opponent, the other amused.

"Oh, don't stop now. Things were just getting interesting." Samael remarked. The woman scowled. "Who the hell are you?" she asked.

Samael chuckled. "Where I'm from, it's rude not to introduce yourself first."

The woman hesitated, perhaps unwilling to share her identity.

"Oh, don't look so suspicious. I don't work for the man you just assaulted. We're just two strangers, looking for a fight. I doubt we'll ever see each other after this." Samael stated, trying to reassure her.

The woman hesitated for a few moments, before replying. "Yang. Yang Xiao Long."

"Samael Hord. It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance." Samael replied back, doing a small bow as he introduced himself. Yang chuckled, before shaking her head.

"You know we could just stop now, right?" Yang said.

"I know, but I have the feeling neither you or I want that at the moment." Samael replied.

"True." And with that, Yang leapt into the air, before quickly using her gauntlets' momentum to shoot herself at Samael. Samael, in response, grappled her as she was about to land on top of him, throwing them both to the ground. Samael was able to get a few punches in on Yang's face, before he was grabbed by the front of his shirt and thrown into the ground. Yang sat atop his body, ready to throw a punch at his face.

Samael, thinking quickly, enhanced the strength of his right leg with the Force. He kicked Yang in the chest, sending her stumbling away from his prone form.

Samael barely had enough time to get up before Yang rushed at him again with another hook punch. Dodging the blow, Samael was forced to bring his leg up to guard against the round kick Yang threw at his left leg. This time, however, Samael was unprepared for Yang's leg to quickly hit his guard and then hit his ribs in a rapid double-round kick.

Stunned, Samael was unprepared for his opponent to quickly perform a spinning backleg sidekick at his chest. Thrown backwards, Samael rolled a few times, before coming to a stop. Clutching his ribs, Samael chuckled, spitting a glob of blood to the ground, before quickly using his family's technique to heal his body

As Yang was readying herself to charge in again, she noticed the blood her opponent had spat out. Her red eyes quickly shifted back to it's lavender color.

P.O.V Switch - Yang

"Oh my god, are you ok?!" she exclaimed, almost in disbelief. She couldn't believe she'd let things go this far, against a civilian too! Oh Brothers, she almost killed someone tonight! What would Ruby say if she had killed someone?! What would Dad say?!

Samael Hord (What a weird name.) chuckled in amusement. "I'm fine, Miss Xiao Long. In fact, I'm ready to keep continuing this."

Oh hell no. Just because this asshole was out of his mind didn't mean that she was gonna kill him.

"How about we don't?" she asked. She really didn't want to kill anyone a few days before she gets into Beacon!

Samael shook his head, visibly disappointed. "If you insist." He sat down against a nearby car, taking a deep breath. Yang, unsure of what to do next, decided to sit down next to him.

"I'd ask for a future rematch one day, but as I said, I doubt we'll be seeing each other again." Samael remarked. "A bit of a shame, if you ask me."

Yang chuckled. "Brothers, you really are crazy." she said.

"My best friend would claim that the correct term is 'differently rational'." Samael replied, making air quotes.

"Your best friend sounds like a handful." Yang remarked.

Samael laughed. "Oh yes. Hadrian always did have the kind of luck that invited chaos everywhere he went. Not that he complained about it. If anything, he seemed to enjoy it."

Yang sighed, leaning back on the car. "You sure you're ok, dude? I hit you pretty hard. Internal bleeding's no joke."

"I'm fine, Miss Xiao Long. I heal rather quickly." Samael replied.

"From internal wounds?" Yang asked, skeptical. The guy just tried fighting a Huntress with no weapons or Aura. Maybe he had a deathwish that he was far too casual about carrying.

"Yes, even from internal wounds."

Yang shook her head. "Wh-how? I'm pretty sure you're just yanking on my chain here, dude."

"And if I am?" Samael replied, a grin of amusement clear on his face.

Yang huffed. "I'm calling an ambulance. Stay here!"

Samael sighed. "You do realize that if you call the paramedics, you will have to explain how we ended up in this position?"

Yang froze. She hadn't considered that.

Just then, Yang's scroll started ringing. Yang cursed, before picking up the Scroll and seeing the Caller ID. Her face brightened up at the name listed.

"Hey, Ruby! What's up!" Yang asked, answering the phone.

"Um, Yang? I need a pickup. I'm in the police station. I'm not in trouble! But….I may have already used up my allowance. I can't call a cab."

Yang clicked her tongue in disapproval. "Lemme guess. Cookies?" Her brain caught up with the first half of her sister's statement. "Wait, police?! What happened? Are you hurt? Did somebody get hurt?! Is everything alright?!"

"Your sister sounds as irritating as you. I did not think that was even possible." Yang heard an accented voice speak in the background.

"Shut up!" Yang heard Ruby heatedly reply back.

"I will if you do it first. Sadly, that seems to be an impossibility." the random voice said in response.

Ruby whined. "Yang, please pick me up soon! This jerk behind me is driving me crazy!"

Yang hung up, and then started looking for her bike. She'd have offered Samael a ride to the hospital under normal circumstances, but hearing that her sister may have been in trouble overruled everything else.

Yang found Bumblebee, turning on the ignition.

It didn't start.

Yang, confused, tried turning on the ignition again. Nothing.

Yang heard Samael audibly sighing behind her. "Enough. Your vehicle needs repairs. Constantly trying to turn on the ignition won't work."

Yang's fists tightened on the handlebars. "T-this never happened before! This baby's practically new!"

Samael shook his head, before bringing a finger to the engine, tapping on one part in particular with the back of his fingernail. Yang squinted in concentration, before realizing that what Samael was pointing to was a shotgun pellet having gone through a part of the engine block.

"It's not irreparable, but it isn't something we can jury rig at the moment. Do you have any alternate transportation to get your sister?" Samael asked.

"Wait a second, you eavesdropped on me?"

"I was right next to you, Miss Xiao Long. Any eavesdropping on my part is coincidental. Besides, I'm fairly certain that I know the other man on the call."

Just then, a black van rolled up onto the road. Yang could see Samael's face light up.

The window rolled down, showing a...what the hell? Why was this guy blue? And what the fuck was with his eyes? Why were they completely red?

Samael laughed, hugging the man from the window. "Agetol, my friend! It's good to meet a friendly face here!"

"Missed you too, your Lordship." Agetol remarked, a smile present on his lips. He turned to Yang. "Who's this?"

"Don't worry, she's just a new friend. Her vehicle is damaged, and since we're both going to the same destination, I believe that we might as well give her a ride."

Agetol sighed, before opening the doors. "Hop in, and don't touch anything, please. I stole this, and I'd like to return it back to it's owner as pristinely as possible."

Yang shook her head. "Wait, what about my bike?" she asked. She'd been saving up to buy that baby for over 4 years! No way was she gonna risk it being stolen.

"Hmm. Fair point." Samael remarked. He then walked up to the bike before casually lifting it in his hands.

Yang watched, awestruck, as the civilian she had fought against minutes before lifted a four-hundred pound sports bike like it was nothing. He carefully placed it on top of the van.

"Agetol, is there any rope in there?"

Agetol sighed, before handing Agetol some rope from the glove compartment. Samael quickly tied the bike down.

"Wow. You're….strong." Yang said, trying to bring herself back to her senses.

"The miracles of a daily exercise schedule, Miss Xiao Long." Samael replied, smiling at her. He clapped his hands together. "Alright, then. If that's everything, let's get out of here."

"Where do you wish to go?" Agetol asked.

"Vale Police Department." Samael replied.
