Beta quadrant. Maxia sector. Neethia star system.
Captain's log stardate 88695.6, our routine patrol of the Maxia, Sector has brought us to the Neethia system. Upon our arrival into the system, we came under attack from renegade Nakul ships. They claim to be a part of the dead temporal liberation front. They have made no contact or have any hint as to the reason for their aggression.
Alert, hull integrity Down to 68 percent. Shield regeneration cycle complete, weapons systems down by 15 percent.
The bridge of the Sun Tzu was chaotic. Part of the ceiling had collapsed, the gap coved by a containment field. The aft left console was ablaze. The officer that had been unfortunate enough to be stationed at that console was on the floor next to it. It was hard to tell if he was unconscious or dead. On the viewscreen, the lead Nakul ship fired another disrupter shot, hitting the main deflector dish.
"Damage report," Captain Wolf breathed heavily. Smoke filled the bridge; it was hard to breathe. At the tactical/Security console, a Romulan in a Starfleet uniform works furiously to counter the Nakul attacks. She pulls up a report on the console:
"Hull breaches on decks 27 through 39. Emergency containment fields holding, casualties on all decks. Deck 20 reporting boarding parties."
The captain took this in for a moment.
"D'Elon, take a Security team, lieutenant Nosalk, and ensign Ch'asshrilril with you to engineering and secure deck 20." D'Elon grabbed a phaser and headed towards the turbo lift.
"Aye, sir." The two lieutenants and three ensigns entered the turbo lift, "Main engineering."
A few minutes later, the turbo lift doors opened to Main engineering. It was a large room divided up into several different smaller rooms. It was two decks high. The first deck consisted of a security checkpoint, ship damage control room, impulse and warp power control, axillary control room, a meeting room for the senior staff, and a storage room for hardware and equipment.
Consoles lined the rooms. In the warp power control room, the warp core sat beyond a balcony, it hummed furiously, and light flowed up to the dilithium chamber. On deck Twenty-one the main computer and shield control and several engineering labs for different projects. There was a plasma fire in the warp power control room, and Nakul Assault teams were in the impulse and warp power control modules and trying to break into Auxiliary control. D'Elon looked on at the chaos,
"Right, we need to put that plasma fire out, Ensign, see about activating the fire suppression system, the rest of you with me, we need to stop them from getting Auxiliary into control." D'Elon and the security team stepped out of the security checkpoint. Across from them, the ship Operations control sat; two Nakul Borders were inside trying to access one of the consoles.
"Thompson, clear out ops," one of the security officers nodded, readied his phaser, and moved off towards the ops center.
The team moved towards Impulse control while D'Elon hid behind the wall next to the door and snuck a peek inside.
Inside, she could see Five Nakul raiders talking. She knocked on the edge of the door.
"What was that? You, Go check it out." one of the Nakul walked out of the door.
The lieutenant quickly grabbed him, performing a Vulcan Neck Grip, rendering the raider unconscious. The Nakul inside saw him go down, and three of them went to investigate. They stepped out of the room and looked around; they turned to their right and were met with the security team.
The team fired their phasers, the beams struck the raiders, but they were equipped with Personal Shields. D'Elon switched her phaser to Split Mode and fired, while the rest of the team fired with their phasers set on a higher setting. The combined phaser fire was able to penetrate the shields.
D'Elon went into Impulse Control, aimed her phaser, and stunned the last Nakul Raider in the room.
Nestled in the corner was the engineering crew assigned to Impulse Control; D'Elon went to free them when suddenly a disruptor beam struck her shield. She screamed from the pain. The personal shields provide protection, but there is some bleed-through.
Ch'asshrilril responded with all haste. He aimed his phaser at the Nakul Raiders and fired three times. The Nakul dropped.
"Thanks." She said and released the captive crewmen. She taped her Com badge, "Engineering to Bridge, Impulse power is operational."
The ship shuttered once more.
The captain's voice is heard over the coms, "Excellent work, lieutenant, see about getting warp power back online."
"Understood.", the lieutenant replied to herself.
The warp core appeared to be offline. But the plasma fire is still raging in the room and getting close to the warp core. D'Elon could see bound crew members just outside the room. D'Elon and Nosalk Approached Warp power control. Nosalk freed the captives while D'Elon worked on clearing the space of uninvited guests. The security team they brought with them joined them after having cleared the axillary control.
They readied their Phasers, but before they could do anything, one of the engineering crew from inside axillary control closed the emergency door for warp power control and deactivated the life support in the room, the air was sucked out of the room, the raiders clasped and the fire extinguisher, as soon as the fire was out, life support was reactivated and the door opened. The Nakul inside were unconscious but all right. The crewmen rushed inside; Chief Engineer Marin Wach pulled them aside.
"Excellent work as always; we should have warp power back online soon; you might want to check out the upper Engineering section. I saw a few of the Nakul went up there." D'Elon nodded, motioned for the team to follow her, and headed for deck 21. The Team Approached the Turbolift. The doors opened, and the group entered.
"Upper Engineering." after a minute, the doors opened again to reveal a long hall with multiple corridors. To the left of the hall were three rooms—the main Computer control. Where the main computer core was located, Ch'asshrilril approached the door towards the computer control room. It was locked; he listened to the other side. ... nothing. No one was inside.
"empty." D'Elon moved towards the second room, the upper section of the Warp power Control room. The Engineering team that had been rescued on the deck below was already managing the warp core. The team approached the third room. The Main Shield Generators were located here. Inside More, Nakul Raiders were Attempting to Sabotage the shields. D'Elon And the Security Team stormed the room, considering only Four Nakul and Seven Of them. They walked in and fired their Phasers. The Raiders dropped instantly.
However, the shields were down, so more Nakul Beamed into the room. Within a minute, about 25 Nakul had surrounded the security team. The firefight was intense. O'Neil, one of the security officers with them, took a shot to the shoulder and leg. The team took cover behind one of the consoles. They were overwhelmed. They took several potshots at several of the raiders. Took about 15 of the Nakul out. However, they were still outnumbered.
"We need to get the shields back online." D'Elon Thought for a moment. Then she got an idea. She took A Photon Grenade From her belt, activated it, and tossed it towards the Borders. Most of the Nakul had been knocked unconscious; a few had been killed. Ch'asshrilril went to work restoring the shield systems.
"Shields Regenerating. Stand By." 4 Minutes passed, and the shields were fully regenerated.
"D'Elon to Bridge, Engineering is secured." there was static.
"D'Elon To Bridge, Report." more static.
"computer, status on coms."
"Internal and External Communications Offline. Manual restart Required."
"comms isn't that far from here. Let's go." D'Elon Nodded to Nosalk. D'Elon Motioned the team to follow her to the Turbo lift.
"Deck 20 Forward." The trip to the front of the ship took about 5 mins.
"We can Probably Expect resistance in and on the way to Coms." D'Elon Agreed
"Set Phasers to heavy stun."
The turbo-lift doors opened to a large hallway. To the right, doors to different rooms and computer interface consoles lined the wall. On the left, large windows were revealing the chaos outside. Nakul ships could be seen racing around the Sun Tuz. Firing a steady flow of Disruptors and Torpedoes. Looking Down the Hall, D'Elon couldn't see anyone. She Motioned for her team to proceed. As they ventured further down the hall, D'Elon looked back at O'Neil; he appeared to be doing well.
"O'Neil, how are you holding up?"
O'Neil looked at D'Elon And Nodded. "I'm fine. It's not that bad."
She stopped and looked him down. Apart from the disrupter burn, he appeared to be okay. They continued to a corner. At the end of the hall, they saw the doors to comms. Between them and comms was a contingent of Nakul s. The Nakul immediately began to open fire on the security team. Phaser and disruptor beams fired back and forth. D'Elon noticed a torpedo heading toward the ship. "Shield Regeneration cycle started." after hearing this, she jerked back toward the window. Everyone else started looking out the window. The Torpedo was heading for their section.
D'Elon shouted, "Grab something Bolted Down!"
Everyone scrambled to grab a Support brace D'Elon grabbed the nearest brace along with one of the Nakul. Within Seconds the Torpedo hit. A hull breach three meters long was created; the vacuum began sucking the air out. Most of the Nakul was unfortunate enough to be on top of the breach. They were instantly pulled into the vacuum of space. O'Neil and two of the security officers began to lose their grip. All D'Elon could do was watch as they were sucked out to space. The lone Nakul on D'Elon's brace began to lose his grip. D'Elon grabbed him just as he let go. She held on to him, trying to pull him back to the brace. But she couldn't hold on. Luckily for him, the computer erected a force field at the last minute. He slammed into it.
"Shield Regeneration Cycle complete, Emergency Containment field online." Everyone relaxed and caught their breath. D'Elon approached the Nakul lying on the ground and scanned him with her tricorder. He had several bone fractures. She stood up.
"Computer." the computer beeped.
"Lock onto the Nakul and initiate a site to sit transport directly to Sickbay, energize." the Nakul disappeared in a Colum of blue energy as he was transported to sickbay. D'Elon leaned against the field and panted, allowing herself to really catch her breath. Ch'asshrilril Approached D'Elon. He put his hand on her shoulder. They took a moment to recollect and morn the lost security officers. Then came back to the moment. Ch'asshrilril looked at the Force field and said, "guess we're not going that way." D'Elon looked around and noted an Armory; they were spread spatially thru out the ship. With them down three men and only three of them left, they would need better weapons than just pistols. D'Elon Motioned for the two others to head for the Armory. D'Elon unlocked the Armory, and they headed inside. Inside, the walls were lined with rifles. D'Elon and Ch'asshrilril both took phaser Assault rifles. Nosalk took a phaser beam rifle.
After gearing up, they backtracked to a hatch leading to the Jefferies tubes. They crawled through them for about half an hour. Then they finally made it to comms. Inside they saw a small contingent of Nakul. There were about 12 of them. Ch'asshrilril, D'Elon, and Nosalk moved out of the Tubes and took a position near the main communications relay. Nosalk Took aim and fired a Split beam, it hit three of the Nakul, D'Elon, and Nosalk fired their Phasers and finished the targeted three. This caught the attention of the rest of the Nakul. The team Opened fire and quickly took out as many as they could before they took cover; Nosalk and Ch'asshrilril layed down cover fire while D'Elon rebooted comms. The reboot was taking some time, so D'Elon turned and Fired at the remaining 5 Nakul. She got three.
Suddenly the room shook. Everyone turned towards the windows. A Nakul ship turned to face the Sun Tzu. It fired a Beam at the Ship and went straight through the Sheilds. D'Elon, Unfortunately, was in its Direct line of fire. Her vision was filled with green. Then everything was dark. Not black, more like the lights in a room went out. She looked around. She was in some sort of hall. It didn't look like anything Starfleet. D'Elon took out her Tricorder and took some scans. It showed a life sign behind her. But before she could turn round, she felt something hit her head. And she collapsed.
