Hey! This is my first time doing a Pokemon fanfic so I hope you guys like it. Been working on this for a few days and it's finally done. Now it's here for your reading pleasure!

"So this is Pallet Town?"

"Looks nice, doesn't it, Chloe?" Goh asked.

Chloe smiled. "It sure does."

"Eievui!" Eevee said excitedly.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu responded with a smile.

"Wait until you see everyone, Chloe." Ash gave an excited grin. "Mom, Tracey, Professor Oak, and all my old Pokemon!"

Chloe giggled. "Can't wait."

At first, Chloe wasn't sure about coming here when Ash invited her. Not that she didn't enjoy spending time with him and Goh, but she wanted to focus on finding out more about all of Eevee's evolved forms, and she wasn't sure if Pallet Town could offer her that. But after seeing the beautiful view of the fields, she had no doubt she was going to have a good time. What harm could a little break do, right?

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Ash started running towards the town with Pikachu by his side.

"Hey! Wait up, Ash!" Goh called after him as he and Chloe began to run as well.

The three continued to run until they reached their first destination: Professor Oak's lab.

"Hello! Professor Oak!" Ash called out. "It's Ash!"

"And Goh!" Goh also called.

The door opened and there stood the world-famous Professor wearing a smile on his face. "Hello, you two. It's nice to see you." He looked over at Chloe. "I see you've brought Chloe along."

"Hello, Professor Oak," Chloe smiled at him. "It's nice to see you again." She looked down at her partner. "This is Eevee."

"Vui!" Eevee greeted the Professor.

"It's very nice to meet you, Eevee." Professor Oak said, petting Eevee on the head. "Please come in. Your Pokemon will be happy to see you again, Ash."

Ash grinned and ran inside excitedly. He would soon find himself on the floor when he almost immediately bumped into someone.

Goh ran up to him. "Ash! Are you alright?"

Ash rubbed his head. "Yeah, I'm okay." He looked to see who he bumped into. "Tracey!"

Tracey smiled. "Hey, Ash. It's been a long time."

"Sure has," Ash replied getting up and shaking his friend's hand. "How's everything?"

"Everything's been great," Tracey answered. "I've been having a lot of fun helping Professor Oak and discovering new things about pokemon."

"That's great," Ash said.

"Pika Pi!" Pikachu said.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Ash turned to his two companions. "This is Goh and Chloe."

"Hi there," Goh greeted Tracey. He looked at the Pokemon on his shoulder. "This is Grookey."

"Grookey!" Grookey said.

"Hello," Chloe smiled at the boy.

"Vay!" Eevee greeted him.

"it's very nice to meet you all," Tracey said. "I've heard so much about you."

"Like what?" Goh asked him, eyeing Ash.

"Well Goh, Ash tells me that you really want to catch Mew," Tracey said.

Goh grinned. "It's true. And with Project Mew, I'm one step closer to closer to meeting Mew and catching it. I can feel it within the palm of my hand!"

Chloe playfully rolled her eyes.

"That's the spirit, Goh!" Ash grinned at his friend. "Keep that up and Mew will be all yours."

Tracey turned to Chloe. "I heard you and Eevee have been working together to figure out what you want to do. I think that's a great way for your bond to grow stronger."

Chloe smiled at him. "Thanks so much. We've been working really hard trying to find out which path we want to take. Right, Eevee?"

"Vui!" Eevee replied happily.

"Ash, shouldn't you be getting outside?" Professor Oak asked him. "I'm sure your Pokemon will be happy to see you."

"Right!" Ash pumped his fist. "Let's go, guys!"

The boy ran outside and spotted some of his Pokémon. "Infernape! Sceptile! Bayleef!"

The three Pokemon turned to him and their faces immediately changed to looks of joy and they ran towards him. Bayleef would be the first to get to him, tackling him down, knocking Pikachu off his shoulder.

"Bay! Bay! Bayleaf!" Bayleef said happily.

"it's great to see you again too, Bayleef," Ash laughed. "Bet you didn't you didn't expect it to be so soon, huh?"

"Bay!" Bayleef replied, rubbing her face on his.

Chloe laughed. "Bayleef seems very happy to see you."

"Bayleef really likes Ash a lot." Professor Oak told her. "You should've seen how she acted the first time she was here."

More of Ash's Pokemon started to approach to group and surround them. Goh looked around.

"Ash has more Pokemon than I thought," Goh commented. "Some of these I didn't see last time."

Grookey jumped off his shoulder and walked up to Sceptile. "Grookey!" He greeted.

"Scep." Sceptile replied.

Eevee was also getting to know some of Ash's Pokemon, currently talking with Totodile and Oshawott.

"Vui! Vay!"

"Totodile!" The blue Pokemon jumped up happily.

"Osha! Oshawott!"

"Looks like they're both making friends," Chloe said.

Goh nodded. "Yeah."

"Torterra." Torterra was the Pokemon that had Ash's attention at the moment. Needless to say, he was very happy to see him like the others.

"Good to see you too, Torterra." Ash smiled, putting a hand on Torterra's back.

Chloe looked at the two of them. She was amazed by all the Pokemon Ash had. She knew he really liked them. She did consider him a Pokemon freak, after all. But she didn't expect he would have so many. Then again it hadn't been so long since Goh became a trainer and he had even more. Still, Chloe had to wonder if she became a trainer would she catch close to the amount of Pokemon her two friends did.

"Oh by people the way Ash, I should mention that there's someone here who's dying to see you." Professor Oak said.

"Huh?" Ash turned to him. "Dying to see me?"

"Yes. She arrived for a visit a couple hours ago and I told her you would be coming. I think she's somewhere in the woods right now."

"Wow Ash, looks like Bayleef's not the only one excited to see you." Goh said.

"Yeah." Ash replied. "Well, if there's someone waiting for me, I don't want hold them up any longer."

Ash dashed into the woods with Pikachu by his side. Goh and Chloe soon followed after him. They wouldn't get far before Ash fell to the ground after bumping into someone.

The other person, a girl, held her head. "Ow! Hey-" She stopped when she saw who it was, a grin coming across her face. "Ash?!"

Ash looked at the girl and went wide-eyed. A grin came to his face as well. "Leaf?!

Ash found himself tackled down in a hug. A happy smile came across the girl's face as she hugged him. "It's been such a long time! I can't believe it's really you!"

"Same here." Ash hugged her back. "It's good to see you, Leaf."

Goh and Chloe watched with surprised expressions on their faces. Neither of them expected a reunion to happen during their visit. They turned to each other and smiled. Even if it wasn't expected, it was nice seeing Ash reunite with someone he seems to have not seen in ages.

The other two got up after hugging. "So what brings you back to Pallet, Mr. Alola Champion?" Leaf smirked.

Ash rubbed the back of his head and laughed as he gave a small blush. "I came to see my Pokemon."

"That's what I figured." Leaf laughed. "Don't think I didn't take a look. You've got some great ones, just like any Pokémon Master should." She winked at him.

Ash grinned. "Thanks! They're all super awesome, and we've been through alright together." He turned to his partner, who had just gotten back on his shoulder. "Right buddy?"

"Pika!" Pikachu said.

"I forgot to introduce you, didn't I?" Ash asked. "Leaf, this is my partner-"

Leaf had swiped Pikachu from Ash's shoulder and had him wrapped in a hug. "I've seen this little guy on TV! You're so lucky to have such a cute partner, Ash."

"Ka!" Pikachu smiled as Leaf scratched under his chin.

"You're a trainer too, aren't you Leaf?" Ash asked.

"Well, I used to be." Leaf said. "I never really wanted to be a champion like you." She put Pikachu down and looked at the sky. "My dream was to travel around the world and discover all kinds of things about Pokemon. Going wherever I can to meet and have fun with them while I learn new things." She looked back at him and grinned. "I'm a Pokemon Adventurer!"

"Pokemon Adventurer?" Goh asked.

Leaf nodded at him. "Right. You're Goh, right?"

"Y-Yeah. How did you know?"

"Mrs. Ketchum told me about you," Leaf said. "It must be so awesome being research fellows at Professor Cerise's lab."

"It is!" Goh grinned. "We get to travel all over the world and meet and catch all kinds of Pokemon! We're really just like you."

"When did you get your first Pokemon?" Ash asked Leaf.

"The same day you did," Leaf replied. She then smirked. "I was one of the people who weren't late."

Ash chuckled sheepishly. "So what Pokemon did you choose?"

"Here I'll show you." Leaf took out a Pokeball. "Come on out!" She threw the Pokeball.

A Venusaur came out of the Pokeball looking at the group that stood before it. "Venusaur!"

"Wow, a Venusaur!" Ash's eyes lit up as he saw it.

Leaf went to stand by her partner. "Me and Venusaur have been all over the world making Pokemon friends and going on all kinds of adventures." She turned to Venusaur. "Right, Venusaur?"

"Venusaur." Venusaur replied happily.

"You two seem like you make an awesome team," Goh commented.

"Well yeah, I couldn't have done everything I did so far without Venusaur." Leaf hugged her partner. "It's been the two of us since day one and that's never going to change."

Chloe smiled and turned to Eevee. Leaf seemed to have such a strong bond with her Venusaur. Chloe found herself wanting to know more about her life since getting it. She had a few questions for her about her journey. She wanted to know what it was like going on all those adventures and meeting all of those Pokemon. She went places with Ash and Goh, but Leaf did this every day. There was no telling the experiences she had to share. When she turned around, she saw Leaf approaching her.

"You must be Chloe." Leaf smiled. "I heard about you, too. Professor Cerise's daughter, right?"

Chloe felt a bit of worry inside of her. Was Leaf going to be another person who just wanted to ask her questions about her dad or expected her to become a professor like him? Leaf seemed nice, but Chloe couldn't lie that she would be very irritated if that was the case.

"Yeah," Chloe answered warily.

"Nice to meet you," Leaf said, "It must be so cool having a Pokemon Professor for a dad." Chloe felt the irritation begin to grow, but that would change into surprise with what Leaf said next. "But I'm sure whatever you do is just as cool."

"W-What?" Chloe asked, still in shock.

"Now that I think about it, what do you do?" Leaf asked her. "You don't seem like the type who would follow in her dad's footsteps. Mrs. Ketchum didn't say anything about you other than mentioning you were his daughter." She then gasped and smirked. "You're a girl of mystery, aren't you?"

"G-Girl of mystery?" Chloe asked. What was this girl talking about?

"Yeah, nobody knows what you do or what your plans are, maybe not even you." Leaf said. "Maybe that's why you decided to come here with Ash and Goh to see if you can find what you're looking for here."

"Chloe's traveled with us before," Ash said. "We've been to some awesome places together!"

Leaf turned to her friend "Really?" She looked at Eevee for a second before grinning back at Chloe. "I see you have what I call the Pokemon of mystery."

Chloe looked at her dumbfounded. "Huh?"

Leaf kneeled and started to pet Eevee. "See, Eevee is the only Pokemon with all kinds of special evolutions. Sure, there are Pokemon that can evolve into different versions, but Eevee's the only one with entirely different evolutions."

Chloe was amazed by this. "R-Really? Only Eevee?"

Leaf nodded. "Yeah." She looked back at Eevee. "Looks like your a truly special Pokemon, huh?"

"Voi!" Eevee replied happily.

Chloe was about to respond when she heard the sound of someone's stomach growling. She immediately knew who it was and turned to Ash with a deadpan look on his face. "Of course."

Ash chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry, guess I'm a little hungry."

Leaf giggled. "You never change, do you?"

The group soon joins Professor Oak and Tracey for a delicious lunch inside. Ash holds his hand to his stomach after he finished eating.

"Man, that was so good."

"Pika." Pikachu agreed.

Goh smirked. "So Ash, did you tell Leaf that you're competing in the Pokemon World Championships?"

"Oh yeah!" Ash grinned at Leaf. "I'm competing to get into the Master Class, and if I win, I'll get the chance to battle Leon."

"I figured you were," Leaf grinned back. "You know I'll be cheering for you all the way."

"Thanks! Everyone's been working really hard. I know we're going to go all the way."

"I'm gonna hold you to that," Leaf smirked and turned to Goh. "So Goh, have you come any closer to finding Mew?"

"Not yet, but I know I will." Goh balled up his fist with determination. "I can-"

"Feel it in the palm of your hand?" Chloe deadpanned.

"Yeah!" Goh said. "Especially now that I'm with Project Mew."

"Project Mew?" Leaf gave Goh a curious look.

Goh nodded. "Yeah. It's a group of people with the same goal as me. We have to do trail missions in to be in it."

"Trail missions?" Leaf's eyes lit up with excitement as she got up from her seat. "Awesome! That sounds so much fun!"

"It is!" Goh replied. "With them on my side, it's only a matter of time before I finally find Mew!"

"Gary's in it too," Ash told Leaf. Hearing that name caused Goh to frown with annoyance.

Leaf rolled her eyes. "I can only imagine how confident he is."

"Too confident if you ask me," Goh muttered to himself. Leaf noticed the look he had.

"I'm guessing by that look you two don't get along well," Leaf said.

"Are you kidding? That guy drives me nuts!" Goh responded. "He's such a jerk."

"Oh, you don't need to tell me that," Leaf said. "I had to grow up with him."

"That must've been a nightmare," Goh said.

"Tell me about it," Leaf crossed her arm with an annoyed look of her own. "He was always so full of himself. He also called me Leafy."

Ash laughed. "Just Gary being Gary..."

"Yeah yeah," Leaf said. Her eyes fell on Eevee once again. Something about it intrigued her. She then looked out the window, and then at Eevee's trainer. "Hey, Chloe, why don't me and you go for a walk?"

"Huh?" Chloe asked. "A walk?"

"Yeah, a little girl time." Leaf said. She stood up and smiled at Eevee. "Bring this little cutie along."

"Uh...okay..."

"So Gary was always cocky, huh?" Chloe asked as she walked alongside Leaf in a field. She held Eevee.

Leaf laughed. "You bet I he was. I could never get him to shut up about how he was gonna be the greatest Pokemon Master. Then again, I can say the same about Ash."

Chloe giggled. "Sounds like you three were always together."

Leaf smiled. "We were. We always hung out and played together. Plus, someone had to those to stop those two from fighting."

"Leave it to the girl to keep boys out of trouble, right?" Chloe laughed.

"Right." Leaf laughed. "How about Goh? I'm guessing you guys knew each other a long time, right?"

Chloe nodded. "We've known each other forever. Just like you, Ash, and Gary."

"Has he caused any trouble?" Leaf asked.

Chloe rolled her eyes. "There was this one time where we came here to go at Professor Oak's summer camp. He ran off from the group and dragged me along. That was the day he first saw Mew."

Leaf's eyes widened in surprise. "You went to Professor Oak's summer camp?! No way!"

Chloe laughed. "It's true."

"How come I haven't-Oh, you must've went that one year where I couldn't because I was going on vacation with my family."

"I guess that's the one." Chloe said.

"No fair! The one time I don't go to summer camp Mew is there!" Leaf pouted.

Chloe smiled. "I guess that how it goes sometimes."

Leaf sighed. "I guess so. It almost stinks because I didn't get the chance to meet you."

"Well, I bet you've met some great people all the other times," Chloe said.

Leaf grinned. "That's true. Like this one time, there was this girl with a cute straw hat that Ash helped. She was so shy, so she hung out with me, Ash, and Gary." She groaned. "Why can't I remember her name."

"Sounds like a nice girl," Chloe said.

"She was." Leaf said, looking up at the sky. "I wonder what she's doing right now."

Chloe also looked up at the sky, the smile still on her face. Leaf was really nice, and she was learning a lot about her. Not only did she have stories about fun adventures to tell, but she had such a history with Ash and that Gary guy she heard about. She then noticed Leaf looking at Chloe.

"Can I ask you something, Chloe?" Leaf asked.

"Of course."

"Do you have any idea on what you want Eevee to evolve into?" Leaf asked.

Chloe looked down at Eevee, who looked back up at her. "No actually. We've been trying to figure out which path we want to take together."

"How many battles have you had?" Leaf asked.

"Not many," Chloe told her. "We only really battle when there's danger around."

"Really?" Leaf asked in shock. "You two don't have battles that are just for fun?"

"Well-"

"Let's battle then! You and me!" Leaf said. "It'll be a fun, friendly battle that can help Eevee."

"I don't know-"

"Eievui!" Eevee jumped in excitement.

"Huh?" Chloe looked at her partner. "You want to have a battle?"

"Vui!" Eevee replied.

"Sounds like Eevee's all in." Leaf smirked. "What do you say, Chloe?"

Chloe looked at Leaf and then at Eevee. Seeing the excitement on its face, she couldn't really bring herself to pass it up. So she smiled. "Okay, let's have a battle."

"Yes!" Leaf pumped her fist up in the air.

The two girls would let everyone know of their battle and they would all gather to watch.

"Oh man, this is gonna be so awesome!" Ash said. "I can't wait til it gets started!"

"Pika pika!" Pikachu agreed excitedly.

"You can do it, Chloe!" Goh shouted.

"Thanks!" Chloe replied, before turning to face her opponent. Leaf grinned at her as their eyes met.

"I'll be the referee," Tracey said.

Eevee stood in front of Chloe ready to battle. It had a look of determination on his face.

Leaf took out a Pokeball. "Alright, come on out!"

She threw the Pokeball and out came a Pokemon with a leafy tail and ears and a sprout on its head.

"Alright, a Leafeon!" Ash cheered.

"Leafeon?" Chloe asked, taking out her Rotom Phone.

Leafeon, The Verdant Pokemon. Leafeon is always surrounded by fresh clean air because it uses photosynthesis just like a plant. The Rotom Phone said.

"Is that a-"

"Yep! It's one of Eevee's evolved forms! Bet you didn't see that coming, did you?" Leaf stuck her tongue out playfully, causing Chloe to frown and blush a bit.

"Don't think just because this was unexpected that you're going to win!" Chloe said.

"That's it, Chloe!" Goh cheered for his best friend.

"Begin!" Tracey said.

"Alright Leafeon, use Razor Leaf!" Leaf commanded. Leafeon complied and sent sharp leaves towards Eevee.

"Eevee, dodge and use Copycat!" Chloe said. Eevee dodged the leaves and started sending some of its own.

"Dodge and use tackle!" Leaf said.

Leafeon dodged the leaves and ran towards Eevee. Chloe told it to dodge, but Leafeon was too fast and was able to hit Eevee.

Chloe gasped. "Eevee!"

Eevee groaned a bit but it managed to get up. "Vui!"

"Are you okay?"

"Vui Vui!"

"That was impressive trying to copy our Razor Leaf and send it back at us," Leaf said. "But it's gonna take more than that for you to win."

"Yeah, well don't expect us to back down so easily!" Chloe said.

"I like your attitude," Leaf said. "Now Leafeon, use let's give them another round of Razor Leaf!"

"Dodge it and use Razor Leaf again!" Chloe said.

Eevee was able to dodge some of the leaves, but this time it got hit.

"Huh, I was actually expecting you to dodge that one." Leaf said.

"Huh? Why?" Chloe asked.

"So it would give me the chance to use my next move," Leaf said. "Now Leafeon, use Bite!"

Leafeon bit Eevee on top of the head, causing the smaller Pokemon to yell out in pain.

Goh watched with a worried look on his face. "This is bad..."

"Its not over yet!" Ash told yet "I know Eevee can still go!"

"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.

"Leafeon, finish it off with Tackle!" Leaf said.

Chloe watched Leafeon run towards Eevee.. "Dodge and use Tackle again!"

Eevee dodged and this time managed to tackle Leafeon.

"Leafeon!" Leaf cried.

"Yes! She got it!" Goh shouted.

"You don't think copying is all we can do, do you?" Chloe smirked. "Eevee, use Sand Attack!"

Eevee slams its front legs on the ground, sending a wave flying of sand to Leafeon. Leafeon is hit with the sand, some of it getting in its eyes. Chloe takes the chance to command Eevee to use tackle again and it does, sending Leafeon back.

"Way to go, Chloe!" Goh cheered.

"The battle's not over yet, Goh," Chloe told him.

"That's right," Leaf said as her Pokemon got up and shook the sand off itself. It looked back at Eevee with an impressed smirk on its face "Use Tackle!"

Leafeon runs at Eevee.

"Copycat!" Chloe yelled.

Eevee did as Chloe said and ran at Leafeon with a tackle of its own. The two Pokemon collide and are both sent down from the attacks. The two start to get up after a bit. Leafeon is able to get up first.

"Leafeon use Giga Drain!" Leaf said.

Leafeon started running around Eevee as the sprout on its head began to glow green. The circle that forms around it hits Eevee once it's completed, draining the small Pokemon of its energy.

"Eevee, no!" Chloe yelled.

"Alright, now finish off with Razor Leaf!"

"Eevee, dodge it!"

The leaves are sent over towards Eevee. The Pokemon is unable to get up on time and is hit with all the leaves. Eevee sent back and is knocked out from the attack.

"Eevee is unable to able!" Tracey said, "That means that the winners are Leaf and Leafeon!"

"Alright!" Leaf cheered. "Way to go Leafeon!"

"Leaf!" Leafeon ran over and received a hug from its trainer. Chloe ran over to check on Eevee.

"Eevee..."

"Ei...vui..." Eevee had a small smile on its face. Chloe couldn't believe it. She thought it would be devastated after losing, but here it was smiling. Leaf returned Leafeon to its Pokeball and walked over.

"That was a great battle, Chloe," Leaf smiled. "You two did amazing."

"T-Thank you..." Chloe replied.

"It seems you two really like to copy people, huh?"

"Well...I guess so," Chloe replied.

"You two are going to have to do a lot more than just relying on copying your opponent," Leaf said "I meant it when I said Eevee was special. It showed a lot of potential."

"Yeah!" Ash agreed as he ran over to them with Pikachu and Goh. "You guys had an awesome battle, Chloe."

"Good job," Goh smiled.

"See? Even your boyfriend agrees," Leaf winked.

"W-WHAT?!" Chloe and Goh shouted simultaneously, both their faces turning red.

Leaf laughed. "You and Eevee just have to try doing other things than using copycat. You did with your Sand Attack but you still reply copying too much. Keep that up and it'll be easy for your opponent to beat you because they'll know what to expect."

"Oh..." Chloe looked down at Eevee. "I didn't release that."

"That's okay," Leaf said. "That's why it's good that we had this battle. Not only are they fun, but they teach us new things." She looked at the sky to see that it was getting late. "I have to get going, but keep working hard and maybe next time, you just might beat me."

Leaf winked at Chloe, before turning to Ash and hugging him. "Don't think I'm not gonna wanna battle with you too someday."

Ash grinned as he hugged Lead back. "Count on it! I'm gonna be so psyched for it."

"That's what I like to hear," Leaf said, releasing the hug and waving as she begins to leave. "Bye, everyone!"

"Bye Leaf!" Ash waved at his best friend as he watched her leave.

Goh looked to see Chloe still looking down at Eevee. "Chloe, are you okay?"

Chloe nodded after a few seconds of not responding. She got up and Goh was surprised to see a determined smile on her face.

"Me and Eevee are gonna work hard and next time we're gonna beat Leaf!" Chloe declared. "Right, Eevee?"

"Eievui!" Eevee said.

"That's the spirit!" Ash said. "I can't wait to see your next battle!"

"Yeah, you're gonna beat her for sure!" Goh said.

Chloe smiled at her two friends and looked back at Eevee. They got the chance to meet another one of its evolved forms, and even battle it. They may have lost, but they both knew that their bond grew from this battle and that they would need to work harder to find what they were looking for. They weren't sure what their overall end goal was. But they had one in mind that would keep them occupied for a while while they looked for it:

Beat Leaf.
