Guess who's back! I decided to continue this story since there was such good reception to it. This chapter is a little shorter than the last but I hope you enjoy it!

It had been a few days since meeting and battling Leaf, but the girl was still fresh on Chloe's mind. When she wasn't in school, she found herself working with Eevee even more than before to get even better. The two would end up training for surprisingly hours. In fact, that's what she's was doing right now. Only this time she had asked for the help of the expert himself. She found herself standing across from Ash as Eevee and Pikachu faced off in a battle. Goh walked out and spotted the two.

"Wow, you two are working hard, huh?" Goh asked, making his way towards them.

"Yeah," Ash smiled. "Chloe really wants to beat Leaf next time, so she asked me and Pikachu to help her train Eevee."

Goh turned to Chloe. "Leaf's really been in your head, hasn't she?"

"I wouldn't say that," Chloe responded. "More like she's inspired me to explore battling a bit more."

"That's great!" Goh replied. "Keep working hard and I know you can beat her."

Chloe smiled at her best friend's support. She turned her attention back to Ash. If she was going to beat Leaf, she couldn't get distracted. While the two were training, the trio failed to notice that they were being watched from some bushes.

"Seems the twerpette is up to some serious training," Jessie said.

"Perhaps she wants to start collecting bandages just like the twerp," James offered.

"Who knows how powerful that Eevee has gotten since she started that training," Jessie said, "Which means this is the perfect time for it to join up with Team Rocket."

"We can snag that it and Pikachu, too," James said. He turned to his Pokemon companion. "What's say you, Meowth?"

Meowth didn't respond as he was too busy staring living at Chole. The thing is, it wasn't the first time he saw Chloe training with Eevee. He had been watching them for a couple of days. He was in awe about how determined Chloe seemed to be.

She's as lovely and perfect as eva. Meowth thought as he watched his favorite twerpette train with her Pokemon.

"What's with you?" James asked Jessie.

"How should I know?" Jessie punched Meowth on top of the head. "Snap out of it!"

"Ow!" Meowth held his head in pain. He glared at Jessie. "Hey! What's the big idea?!"

"We need you to help us think of a plan to catch those Pokemon," Jessie said.

"Huh? Oh yeah!" Meowth looked back at the trio. That's when an idea popped into his head. It wasn't the kind of idea Jessie had in mind, though. He would help James and Jessie capture Pikachu and Eevee. They could have Pikachu, and he would bring Eevee back to Chloe. He would tell her that they captured her and he saved it.

Meowth smiled and blushed as he thought about Chloe hugging him and calling him her hero. He then smirked and looked at his two teammates. "Alright, here's the plan."

Leaf had finally arrived at Vermillion City. She smiled as she looked around and took in the beautiful sight. Ships were sailing in the water, a couple of kids were having a battle, and there were multiple shops nearby.

"We're finally here," Leaf's mom, Treesa, smiled. "Anything you want to do first?"

Leaf's stomach growled. "Well, I think we should try to find something to eat first. Then we can check out Cerise Lab."

"Sounds like a plan," Treesa took out a phone and started looking at the various food places they could eat. "Anything you want?"

"I think a good old bowl of Ramon sounds good right about now," Leaf grinned at her mom.

Treesa chuckled. "I agree." She looked back at her phone. "Oh! There's a place nearby!"

"Great! Let's go!" Leaf grabbed her mom's hand and started running.

Team Rocket was making their way back to Ash and friends with James and Jessie dressed in suits and hats.

James looked at his friend. "Meowth, run the plan by us again, will you old chum?"

"It's simple. You tell the twerps that you're special Pokemon agents that help Pokemon get stronger," Meowth began, putting his hands behind his head. "Then once the twerps hand over the Pokemon, you two scram."

"Hold on, what are you going to do?" Jessie asked.

"Well, every time we get our hands on those Pokemon they always come after us when we make a run for it," Meowth said. "So I'm gonna stay back and dig a hole for them to fall into so they can't catch up."

"Perfect! And by the time they've gotten all we will already be long gone," Jessie smirked, drooling starting to come out of her mouth. "I can almost taste the delicious meal the boss will have prepared for us as part of our reward, along with a nice sized check of course."

All of that sounded good to Meowth. Grub, money, and Chloe were going to make this the best day of his life.

Chloe walked into her father's lab along with Eevee. She figured they had done enough training for now and deserved a break. Ash and Goh followed them inside.

"You did amazing out there, Chloe," Goh said, smiling at his friend. "No way you'll lose to Leaf again after working so hard."

"Thanks, but I feel we've still got a long way to go," Chloe poured some Pokemon food in a bowl for Eevee, who happily made its way over to eat. "Leaf's been a trainer for just as long as Ash has. So if we want to beat her, we're going to have to work harder than we ever have before."

"Yeah, but you can still do," Goh said, putting a hand on Chloe's shoulder. "We'll be here with you every step of the way."

"Right!" Ash nodded.

"PikaPi!" Pikachu also nodded.

"How's it going, everyone?" Professor Cerise asked as he walked up to the group.

"Oh, hey Professor," Goh greeted him. "Chloe just got done doing some training with Eevee."

Professor Cerise smiled at his daughter. "Oh right, you're training to beat that girl you told us about, right?"

Chloe nodded. "Yeah."

"Well, I have something for you," Professor Cerise said, walking to grab what he had for his daughter. Chloe was soon shocked when she found five Pokeballs in front of her. "I want you to have these. You never know if you may wanna have a full battle with this girl one day, so just in case, I'm giving you five Pokeballs so you can have a complete team.

Chloe blinked. "Wow..." She took the Pokeballs and smiled, a small blush on her face. "Thanks, dad."

"That's awesome, Chloe!" Ash said, grinning.

"Yeah," Goh agreed. "I can't wait to see what Pokemon you catch."

Eevee jumped up and down in joy as Chloe looked down at her Pokeballs. She thought about the kinds of Pokemon she could catch. Both of her friends had a lot of Pokemon. It seemed like catching came easy to them, but Chloe knew better. She knew there were going to be difficult catches ahead. She had seen Goh catch Pokemon by just throwing the balls but not every Pokemon was the same. She looked up, thinking of the kind of Pokemon she might want to have.

"This might be the best Ramon I've ever had," Treesa said as she ate her food.

Leaf nodded in agreement as she finished her bowl

"Just what I needed."

Treesa finished her bowl soon after. "So would you like to head to Cerise Lab now?"

Leaf grinned as she jumped out of her seat. "You bet I would!" She grabbed her mom's head and started running again.

"No need to rush!" Treesa laughed. "It's not going anywhere."

"I know but I'm really excited to see it," Leaf said, "Plus, Ash might be there."

Treesa continued laughing until she looked and spotted something, "Wait, Leaf! There's that shop I've been wanting to check out."

"Huh?" Leaf asked coming to a stop. She looked at the shop. It was a clothing store. She looked at one of the posters. The green dress that her mom had been talking about was on it. She smiled and turned to Treesa. "How about you go in and meet me at Cerise Lab?"

Treesa smiled. "Okay, I'll see you then." She waved at ran into the store excitedly.

Leaf laughed. Her mom could never resist beautiful dresses. "Oh, mom."

She then turned back to the direction she was heading and started running again.

Let's see what you've been up to, Chloe.

Chloe was heading out of Cerise lab with Ash and Goh. Eevee was by her side. She smiled at her partner. The group was headed into the woods to check out what kinds of Pokemon were there. Chloe couldn't believe the excitement that was building up inside of her. Just days ago, she wouldn't have been this excited at the idea of catching Pokemon, but now she honestly couldn't wait to catch one.

"Isn't this exciting, Chloe?" Goh asked. "You're finally going to start catching Pokemon."

Chloe nodded. "I'm honestly really excited."

"Vui Vui!" Eevee jumped again.

"It looks like Eeeve is excited too," Chloe said.

"Catching Pokemon is the best," Ash got in front of her, his eyes lighting up. "You get to train and raise them and make all sorts of new friends."

"Pikapika!" Pikachu's eyes also lit up.

Chloe giggled. "Can't wait."

"Excuse me?" A voice could be heard near the group. The trio turned to see Team Rocket in their disguises.

"Who are you?" Goh asked.

"We're agents with an organization dedicated to helping train strong and special Pokemon," James said.

"That's right, and we heard that there were two very special Pokemon at this very lab," Jessie said. Her eyes fell on her two targets. "And it looks like those talks were true."

Goh blinked. "Two very special Pokemon?"

"Uh-huh," Jessie responded, picking up Pikachu. "Just look at this little guy. This is a Pokemon that needs our helps to reach its fullest potential."

"So does this Eevee," James added, picking Eevee up

Chloe didn't look too pleased. "H-He-"

"Now if you'll excuse us, we have to take these Pokemon to get the training they deserve," Jessie said as she and James put Pikachu and Eevee in a glass box

Ash glared at the two "Now hold on-"

"Chow!" Jessie waved after grabbing her end of the box. Her and James started to run off.

"Hey, come back!" Ash called out, running after them.

"Eevee!" Chloe yelled as she and Goh followed them.

"Pikachuuuu!" Pikachu used Thunderbolt but nothing happened.

James laughed. "Nice try, but I'm afraid our box is electric proof."

"You'll have a hard time getting out of there with that move." Jessie also laughed.

Pikachu glared at them and started to use Iron Tail. Eevee copied the move and the two hit the glass to try and get out.

Jessie and James managed to outrun the trio after they ran into the woods after them and fell into the hole and Meowth dug.

"Here they are Meowth," Jessie said as she set the box down. "These precious Pokemon are all ours."

"Your planned worked like a charm," James said.

"Just like I knew it would," Meowth bragged. "Now how about we celebrate our big score with some grub?"

"Not so fast!" A voice yelled. Team Rocket turned to see Leaf running towards them.

"I saw what you did," Leaf glared at the trio. "You think you can just take people's Pokemon and get away with it?!"

"Who's this twerpette?" Meowth asked. Leaf gasped.

"No way! A talking Meowth?!" Leaf looked at the Pokemon shocked.

"That's right, I'm one of a kind," Meowth said. "Now I suggest you scram before things get ugly."

"Not I until you give those Pokemon back," Leaf said, "Who are you creeps anyway?"

Jessie and James took their seats off.

"Is that the cries of a new twerpette I hear?" Jessie asks.

"It's speaking to me loud and clear," James.

"To protect the world from devastation!"

"To unite all peoples within our nation!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth, that's right!" Meowth jumped in between them.

"Meowth?!" A voice called

Meowth's eyes widened when he saw Chloe running up to him along with Ash and Goh.

"Drat! Those twerps crawled out of the hole!" Jessie growled.

"No matter, we'll just have to get rid of these twerps the old-fashioned way," James said.

The two then held their hands up in the air. "Come on down!"

The Pelipper flew above them and dropped the machine. Jessica and James then grabbed Meowth and put him on the coin slot, causing two Pokeballs to come out.

"Come on out!" They both yelled as they threw their Pokeballs. A Geodude came out for James and a Mightyena for Jessie.

"Alright Venusaur, we need your help!" Leaf called as she threw her Pokemon.

"Leaf?!" Ash, Goh, and Chloe looked shocked to see her.

Leaf smiled at them. "Bet you didn't expect to see me again so soon, huh? Ash, how about you give me a hand?"

"Right!" Ash took out a Pokeball. "Lucario, I choose you!"

Lucario came out of its Pokeball next to Venusaur. It growled at Team Rocket.

"Geodude, use Rock Smash!" James commanded.

Geodude's hand glowed as it made its way towards Lucario.

"Dodge it and use Force Palm!" Ash told Lucario. A look of determination to get the captured Pokemon back was on his face.

Lucario dodged the Rock Smash and placed its palm on Geodude. It fires a huge light blast sending Geodude back.

"Show these twerps who boss, Myghtyena, and use Bite!" Jessie ordered.

"Use Vine Whip to stop Mightyena!" Leaf said.

As Mightyena ran closer to it, Venusaur shot vines from its back to its opponent. A couple of vines wrap around Mightyena's legs and pick it up. A couple of other ones then start smacking it around on the face, before it gets thrown back.

"Geodude, take down that twerp Pokemon with a tackle!" James ordered.

"Lucario, use Double Team!" Ash said, as he saw Geodude making its way towards Lucario again.

Lucario started to multiply itself. Geodude looked around wide-eyed and with confusion, not knowing which one was the real Lucario. This soon began to anger the rock Pokemon as it began tackling all of them, each disappearing after the hit. As this happened, Ash called for a Vacuum Wave. Lucario then fires a sphere of wind it made at Geodude.

"Now finish it off with Aura Sphere!" Ash called again.

Lucario fires a blue ball of energy at Geodude, sending it into a tree and finishing it off. Jessie growls as she sees this and turns her attention back to her battle with Leaf.

"Don't you dare fail, Mightyena!" Her teeth were practically fangs. "Use Take Down!"

"Venusaur, use Solar Beam!" Leaf called out.

Venusaur fires a white beam at its back at Mightyena. Jessie commands it to dodge and use Bite. Mightyena manages to dodge the beam and bite the top of Venusaur's head. Venusaur rolls it pain.

"Venusaur, use Vine Whip again to get Mightyena off of you!" Leaf called to her partner.

More vines come from Venusaur and whip aroundMightyena's body, causing it to roar and release its bite.

"Now's our chance!" Leaf said, "Use Solar Beam!"

Venusuar once again shot a white beam at Mightyena, and this time, Mightyena was hit. Meowth saw that it was also knocked out and quickly made his way to the box where the two captives were being held. Someone stepped in front of him.

"Where do you think you're going?" Chloe asked him, arms crossed and what looked to be a look of disappointment.

"Oh...uh...ya see, I just wanted to go free my pals Pikachu and Eevee," Meowth lied. "I tried to tell Jessie and James that stealing them was wrong, but they wouldn't listen."

"You little liar!" Jessie snapped. "This was your idea!"

Chloe looked at Jessie and then at Meowth, her look not changing.

"Hold on! I-" Meowth was interrupted by Jessie by him and lifting him up.

"Now it's your turn!" Jessie said. "Teach these twerps a lesson!" She threw him onto the battlefield. Meowth would get up and find himself face to face with an angry Lucario and Venusaur.

"You think I can take you two!?" Meowth yelled at them. "Bring it on!" He got his scars out and jumped at them. Lucario blasted him with an Aura Sphere on Ash's command.

Meowth was sent back on the ground. He groaned in pain and looked up, making eye contact with Pikachu, who had been freed by Goh along with Eevee.

"Pikapika!" Pikachu glared at Meowth with its arms crossed as electricity started to come from its cheeks. Meowth laughed nervously as he backed away with his two friends.

"Alright Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu commanded.

Piakchu shot its thunder at the trio. However, a Pokeball was thrown and Meowth was caught in it just before he got it. Jessie and James weren't so lucky, however.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" The two yelled as they were shot into the sky.

The Pokeball that Meowth was in shook a couple of times before stopping. The talking Pokemon had been caught. Ash, Goh, and Lead had shocked looks on their faces.

"I can't believe it!" Goh said.

"Meowth was caught?!" Ash added.

"He wasn't Team Rockets?" Leaf asked.

"No, he wasn't," Chloe said as she walked to the Pokeball and picked it up. Eevee ran to her side. "He told me when we were trapped in that cave together."

"But I don't get it," Goh said, "Why'd you catch him?"

"After what he just tried to pull, I thought back to a talk we had that day," Chloe said, "I figure maybe he just needs a little help." Suddenly, the ball opened and Meowth came out.

"Hey, what's the big idea?!" Meowth snapped, not knowing what was happened. "Who threw that?"

Chloe kneeled down to his size. "I did." Meowth turned to her and blushed. "Meowth, remember when you told me you liked nice girls?"

"Yeah..." Meowth was out of it. He seemed to be in some kind of trace.

"Well, that day I learned that you're not as bad as you make yourself seem," Chloe said, "I've thought about it from time to time and think that maybe you just need a good influence to help turn you around."

She wants to help me... Meowth thought dreamily, before shaking his head. "Uh, yeah, I can dig what you're saying?"

"Are you sure?" Chloe asked. "I know I shouldn't have captured you without your permission. I thought it might be the only way to get you to listen, but if you want to go back to Team Rocket, you can."

Thoughts began to race in Meowth's head. He got what he wanted, but not in the way he was expecting. This is what he had hoped for, but now that he had it, could he really just leave his friends? These were the twerps. Well, the rest were twerps. His mortal enemies. But he thought about all the perks. No Jessie to yell at him, and they always seemed to have good grub with them. It couldn't hurt to try it out for a while, right?"

"You really wanna help me?" Meowth asked.

Chloe nodded with a smile. "I do."

Meowth looked at Chloe for a moment before jumping into her arms and hugging her. "It's a deal!" He said. As Chloe held him back, he felt something rolling down his face. What the? Were those tears? No way he was crying over this, right?

Chloe hugged Meowth tightly as Eevee smiled. Ash and Goh looked at each other, unsure of the whole situation. Chloe was sure this could work out. She and Meowth could help each other. She could get him to change for the better, and he could help her with her goal. He was her Pokemon now, after all.

Speaking of her goal, Chloe made eye contact with Leaf, who held her hands to her face awe of the scene. When she noticed Chole looking at her, she smirked and nodded. Chloe knew she had impressed Leaf again with what just happened. But now that she had two Pokemon, she could really work her way to battling her again and this time winning.
