Gary's P.O.V

"Hey Gary... we got a problem... its well Lucas... h-he's d-d-dead!" that's what Leaf told me as soon as I had answered the phone. As a result, I literally ran out of my room, knocking into Daisy who had been visiting as was out the door in a flash after I told Leaf to wait there

As soon as I got to the scene of the crime, I saw multiple police officers and Leaf who stood off in a corner with her face red and tears falling down her face

She soon saw me, as I watched the brunette run towards me and started to cry on my shoulder, making me return the hug

"Oh Gary! Why is this happening?!" she cried out and I could do nothing but rub her back in attempt of comfort as I waited a moment for her to feel better

'Seems Ash's theory might not be so ridiculous as we all thought' I thought as I turned back to the brunette "Leaf I need you to tell me what you know"

"According to the police chatter that I picked up before seeing... they think he was k-killed by either a carriage or a horse. Other than that, I don't know anything else" she said distraughtly

"So, the game killed another one and this time it was someone who didn't die in the game" said a familiar voice as I turn and saw none other than Ash with a dark expression

"Ash... what are you doing here?" I asked in surprise and saw him sigh as his expression soften slightly

"I was heading over to Dawn's after she told me she couldn't reach Lucas. I even looked at the game and saw he was still alive, so I decided to investigate when I saw all the lights and overheard your conversation too" he replied and my eyes widened, Dawn! I forgot... Lucas was her childhood friend and crush... she's gonna be devastated

"Does she-"

"No... not yet at least, but I'll let her know before this reaches the news" he said taking out his phone and typing on it

I could see from Ash's face that he blamed himself for this and as a result was a mess

"Stupid game, killed me in only a few minutes" said a random cop a few feet away as I saw the colour drain from Ash's face and saw him sprint towards the cop before I could stop him

"Don't play that game!" Ash yelled smacking the phone from his hand and getting the attention of everyone present

"Back off kid, it's just a stupid game" the cop angrily said as he leaned down to retrieve his now broken phone

"That's how both Drew and Lucas died! The game is gonna be what gets you killed!" Ash exclaimed with panic and really who could blame him

"What on Earth is happening over here?" said a new voice as both Ash and Leaf turned in the direction of the voice and I could tell he was a detective

"Seems this kid here is spooked by some game I was trying out. Says it was the reason the kid here and the Hayden one was killed" said the cop as the detective turned to look at Ash

"I'm telling the truth detective Looker! You met Lucas the day after Drew was killed, do you really think it's a coincidence that someone else who was playing that game was killed in a bizarre way?"

I could see the detective sigh "While I wish I could believe you, there is no concrete evidence to say that what you are saying is true Mr. Ketchum. I suggest you kids all go home while we take care of this"

Ash didn't seem to like his answer but didn't argue against him. Soon all three of us grabbed our stuff and left the crime scene, not wanting to start something or upset the already angered detective and police officers

Ash's House (3rd P.O.V)

The Pallet trio found themselves in Ash's basement after being kicked out, but Ash knew that what he said will make the detective have an eye on them now. He now wished they never decided to play that stupid game in the first place

"This is insane!" Gary yelled out as Ash turned towards his childhood friend and saw him on the game checking the status of the characters "Lucas is still alive in the game, how or why was he killed?"

Leaf turned towards the brown-haired boy "We still don't even know why Drew was killed. What is it about this game that makes anyone playing die? Ash thought it was only players who died in the game that were killed, but this doesn't seem to be the case anymore"

Suddenly they heard a knock coming from outside as Ash grabbed a hold of a discarded pipe and slowly made his way towards the window while the other two hid behind the old dusty counter and waited

"Wait Ash! Stop, it's me May!" said a female voice as Ash dropped the pipe and pulled the brunette inside and hugged the girl tightly soon afterwards as both Leaf and Gary came out of their hiding spot

As soon as May was let go, did she notice the state of the trio before her "What happened? I knocked on the door, but Red let me know you three were down here for some reason"

The trio all looked at one another as May looked confused "Alright what's going on?"

Gary sighed as he decided to tell her the story. Once he finished, the brunette had tears running down her face at realizing Lucas was now dead

"He didn't deserve this... none of them did" Ash said angrily

"Just thinking about their deaths and what might have been going through there minds" Leaf said, rubbing her eyes

May suddenly realized something as she looked around the room "Umm where's Dawn?"

"I told her about what happened to Lucas a while ago. She told me she wanted some time alone and when I called her again a few minutes before you got here, she didn't pick up"

"I can get why she wanted time alone, but what if she you know... decided to play the game herself and end this herself"

The trio all turned pale and rushed out the basement door, with May hesitating slightly before following them

Poor Ash, no ones but his friends now believe him. However seems Looker might be on his side, but only time will tell if that is true or not. Also... what will happen to Dawn! Fine out next time on Stay Alive Pokemon style! *cue dramatic exist*
P.S. sorry for this chapter being shorter than rest, just wanted to leave it on a cliff hanger is all ;)
