Hello All,

Truly it is difficult to write this, but reality has come for my childhood, as it seems. While writing has been a significant vocation for my life for the past 8 years, and it will persist as such, the world of Fanfiction will not be able to persist with it forever. Such is the truth of all things, I guess, but that doesn't at all devalue the importance of this. After graduating college, it became clear to me once I acquired a full-time job that sacrifices will have to be made to ensure that my future is as stable as possible...and one of those sacrifices is the fact that Fanfiction writing in large-scale just isn't practical.

So what does that mean?

It means the main devotion of my writing time will now be shifted to original works in the long term. I still plan to do small one-off writing challenges (of my own make) for fun on this site and AO3 for the foreseeable future, but large epics for the most part will no longer take place. That means all unfinished projects from Mass Effect, Star Wars, DC and Pokemon, officially at this point, are at an end. Updates will not be returning to those fandoms, so for those of you who participated in following those around, I thank you for your enthusiasm, and welcome you to enjoy the stories I have already written to your heart's content.

There are a few notable anomalous exceptions, namely with Avatar: The Last Airbender, to which I feel can still be continued if I ever find the motivation, and most recently the addition of Fire Emblem, which is currently the largest draw of my writing interest. I can't make any promises as far as those, so I would try to keep your expectations low for now. I will say, however, I am having a lot of fun writing my new story Fire Emblem: Powers that Be.

One of the reasons for my departure, and I feel it necessary to admit it, is the lack of interaction. While I don't feel entitled to receive reviews, I cannot skirt around the power they have to spur me along. Most of my long term projects have massive drop offs in interaction once they reach a certain point, especially on this site, which in turn correlates to a drop off in motivation. If I leave Fanfiction.net with any kind of criticism, it is its inability to draw reviews, something a site like AO3 is far more successful in. I get that people like to either wait until the story is done to review, or just read and feel as if there is nothing to say. Either way, regardless of my frustration with this, I am glad people take time out of their days to read what I write, and perhaps that should just be enough.

I thank you all for giving my works a chance, and know that my originals will be inspired by your devotion, criticisms and praises. While this isn't the end, the lights at the office are becoming a little more dim than they once were.
