I'm...probably not adequate at writing, but that's left up to others, really. Currently in the process of writing a Code Geass alternate universe fic, with homages up the wazoo. It was inspired by Super Robot Wars fixing the ending to Code Geass, and that got me back into it, as well as Gundam. My story...may not be to your liking, but I hope you do like it.
