Lauren's Pov

The room went into chaos as an explosion sounded. Everyone around me was running around frantically trying to figure out what to do. I was just laying on the table. I was strapped to trying to wiggle my right wrist out of its restraint. It wasn't going well. I had only been trying for a minute or two but I had already rubbed my wrist raw on the restraints.

I stopped trying as hard when a guard walked closer to me. He was talking on his radio, his eyes darting frantically between me and the door.

"A mutant is attacking the prison, he already got through the perimeter guards. We need backup now!" the person on the other side of the radio said desperately.

I paused, stopping to look at the guard as his terrified expression turned to horror.

"You don't mean.." he said trailing off as his comrade on the other end of the radio suddenly screamed and went quiet. The guard looked at Carla Jackson having no idea what to do.

Carla pressed her lips together and turned to Aiden, "the medicine that stops her from using her powers, I need you to give her another dose"

I instantly stopped trying to get out of my restraints. If they gave me another dose I wouldn't be able to use my powers at all for at least 24 hours. That couldn't happen.

Aiden nodded and started to walk over to a table with some glass vials on it. Just as he picked up a syringe the whole room started shaking. Everyone around me started looking around the room in fear but I just smiled. I loved that they had no idea what was happening but I did. One of the guards walked over to the door. He stood in front of the door with his gun pointed at it. He held his ground as the room started shaking more and the doors flew off the hinges and hit the guard, sending him flying backward.

I smiled as Andy walked in, his eyes instantly finding mine. He quickly used his powers to take out all of the other guards in the room, pushing them into various walls and shelves. He paused when he saw Carla Jackson.

"Andrew, you don't have to do this. If you just turned yourself in, I'm sure-" Carla started before Andy cut her off.

"Turn myself in? Are you crazy? They'll kill us. The only reason Sentinel Services kept Lauren alive this long is because they wanted to lure me here." he said, "Unfortunately for them, they underestimated how destructive I was when I was pissed off."

"Andrew, please..." she pleaded.

Andy rolled his eyes and used his powers to push her into a shelf causing it to fall over. She didn't get up.

Andy quickly walked over to me, ignoring Aiden who was still cowering behind a desk.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"I will be," I said smiling, "Now can you untie me."

"Right, that, sorry," he said quickly, starting to undo the restraint on my arm.

He got it off after a few minutes of struggling. It was complicated apparently with three different ways of securing it. He got the strap on my stomach off quicker because now he knew how to undo the straps. I could sit up after he did that and got the strap off of my other wrist as he did my ankles.

I got up as soon as all of the straps holding me to the table and instantly hugged Andy. He found me, he did it, he saved me. I smiled while desperately holding him as a few tears rolled down my face.

"You're okay, right?" he asked, pulling away so he could look at me.

I nodded, wiping away the tears that had fallen on my cheeks, "Yeah, I'm fine now."

Andy quickly looked up at the door as a bang sounded outside of it, "Can you use your powers?" he said, turning back to me.

"Not right now but I will be able to in a couple of minutes. I can feel them but just barely" I said as I pulled out the IV that was still stuck in my hand. I grabbed a cotton ball from one of the tables and put it on the little wound from the needle. We didn't have time for me to be bleeding if we were going to get out of here. Especially if I could only just barely feel my powers.

Suddenly one of the unconscious guard's radios turned on, "Help, someone, please. There is another mutant attacking, people are getting shot with arrows but we can't find the mutants, it's hiding. Help me- Ahh!"

I turned to Andy in surprise, "You brought Mia with you?"

"No actually, I told her not to come," he said, frowning.

"Well, not much we can do about it now. Let's get out of here" I said, walking over to one of the guards and grabbing their gun planning to discard it in a few minutes. My powers weren't going to be much help so I needed something else to protect me.

I turned back to Andy and smiled. I was finally getting out of here. I couldn't wait to get out of here.

Mia's Pov

By the time I got to the prison, it was already in chaos. Guards were frantically running everywhere. One tripped over a rock as he was running to the front gate. I sighed as I shifted in the tree I was crouching in. It was dark out, most people would barely be able to see what wasn't being illuminated by the prison's lights. Luckily I didn't have such problems.

I knocked an arrow on my bow and aimed it at a hidden automated gun at the top of one of the guard towers. For everyone else, it would have been too dark out to see but I could see in the dark so the darkness of night didn't bother me much. I took a deep breath, as I exhaled I released the arrow and watched as it hit the gun perfectly, causing it to explode. I smiled and jumped down from the tree and looked up at the sky. The moon wouldn't be of any help to the guards tonight. It was a new moon.

I walked up behind a guard who was trying to hide behind a pole. It was a very small pole. I don't know why he thought this would work. Looked at him confused for a second before digging and hitting him on the head with my bow.

He fell instantly but unfortunately when he fell he hit the ground hard. I winced. That was loud. Guards started running over to where I was. I quickly made the shadows around me thicker and stepped away from the unconscious guard closer to the fence.

While the other guards freaked about the unconscious guard I started inspecting the fence. It seemed like it was electric. I sighed, I'd have to teleport in.

I closed my eyes and concentrated on building up the shadows around me. I stepped into them and tried to go to the other side of the fence. When I walked out only a few inches in front of where I had started. I looked around and saw the guards getting closer.

Why couldn't I get through the fence? It was already dark out, teleporting shouldn't be hard. I should be able to do this. Maybe it was because it was electric. Electricity was known to interfere with teleportation, that was probably why. I shook my head, the guards were too close. I ran in the opposite direction that the guards were coming from. I needed to find a different way into the prison.

I ran a good distance away before stopping to catch my breath. I needed to exercise more. I crouched down behind a tree. The gate was only about a hundred yards in front of me but it was surrounded by guards. These guards weren't as frantic as the others, they were all calm with their guns pointing at the trees I was hiding in. They were ready for attack.

I gulped, the only way I was getting past them was if they opened the gate, even just for a second. That was all I needed to get through. If the electrical grids went down I would be able to teleport in and help Andy. The guards were getting more prepared with every minute, I needed to help him get to Lauren and get out as quickly as possible.

I took my quiver off my back as quietly as I could and started digging through the small pockets I had sewn into it. I didn't have time to grab anything before I left. Normally I would have some cool gadget that Cameron had built for me but I had nothing, just a box of matches and some extra arrow tips and nocks, just in case.

I pressed my lips together, none of this was very helpful. I pulled out one of the arrow tips, this one was wooden instead of the normal metal ones that Marcos made me. Maybe if I switched out a couple of arrow tips to wooden ones...

I quickly made the switch and put the box of matches in my jacket pocket. I secured my quiver back to my back and pulled out one of the arrows with wooden tips. Hopefully, this worked better than I expected.

I quickly lit the arrow and fire and knocked the arrow and carefully aimed it. I released it and prayed that this worked. It hit the electric fence right next to one of the guards. The fire flashed up the fence. It didn't last long but it was enough to make the guards jump.

They all started to yell at each other, trying to figure out what happened I guess. One guy who looked like he was in charge yelled at the guys operating the gate. The gate slowly opened and the guard slowly walked out, pointing his gun at the trees I was hiding in. Before he even got the chance to look at the tree I was behind I was already inside the prison yard. Those wooden arrows were helpful after all.

I quickly moved closer to the door pulling about another wooden arrow and listing it on fire and firing at a field of grass. I needed a good distraction. I took a deep breath and used that distraction to shoot a couple of guards near the door with my regular arrows and get inside the actual prison and out of the yard.
