Mia's Pov

I walked into the prison having no idea where I was going. I was just following the destruction. I turned down a couple of hallways looking around trying to find some clue of where Andy might have gone. I walked a couple more feet before I came to a door frame that the door was no longer attached through. I was probably on the right path.

I cautiously walked into another hallway. I had an arrow already knocked on my bowstring. This hallway was strangely empty. Every other hallway had at least one guard in it. I looked into a doorway. It looked like an office. I paused wondering if there would be any useful documents that the underground could use. Before I could decide what to do I heard something behind me.

I whipped around quickly pointing an arrow at whoever was there. There was a black, bald guy standing there pointing a gun at me. He had weird metal stuff on his arms, one of his legs, and on the right side of his face.

I fired my arrow at him but he sidestepped out of the way. I fired another one but he caught it.

"What the hell?" I whispered to myself.

The man smiled, "You must be one of the Strucker's friends. How cute. Coming to try and help."

"Try, isn't exactly the word I would use in this situation," I said shifting backward a few inches. There was a door a couple of feet behind me. If I could just distract this dude enough to get to it.

"Well, it is the correct term. So where are your friends?" He said.

I glared at him slowly inching backward hoping he wouldn't notice, "like I would tell you."

"Well, you better or else I'm going to shoot you," he said motioning with his gun.

I paused for a moment not sure what to do. On the one hand, I could just run to the door and save my energy for later but risk getting shot and I had a feeling that this guy wouldn't miss. I could also just teleport onto the other side of the door and risk not having enough energy for later.

Screw it. I bolted for the door. I wrenched the door open just as a sharp pain went through my side. I didn't even stop to see where the bullet hit me.

I just managed to close the door behind me as two more shots rang out hitting the door. I could see the indentations where the bullets had hit. I frantically locked the door and backed away, knocking an arrow on my bow.

I backed away from the door breathing heavily. What was I going to do? I didn't know where I was going and I didn't think that this was a fight I was going to win. I quickly looked around and saw that I was in a cell block. There were tables in between the two rows of cells. If there was a fight here I wasn't going to have enough mobility to move the way I needed to.

I winced as a bolt of pain went through my side at my ribs. I gently put my hand where the pain was and it came away bloody. I took a deep breath and looked around some more. I'd deal with that later.

Most of the inmates were silently staring at me. I looked around the rest of the room and saw a rafter that I should be able to teleport onto. I looked back at the door one more time before stepping into the shadows right as I heard the lock break and the door fly open.

Andy's Pov

Lauren and I decimated the prison as we went through. Neither of us had any idea where we were going. We were just kind of wandering through the halls injuring or killing (we had no idea if they survived our attacks or not) any guard we saw.

"If we make it to the cell they held me in before they moved me to that lab I think I might know a way to get out," Lauren said as we cautiously moved through a hallway.

"Yeah but Mia also followed me here so we should probably find her before we leave," I said as I glanced into a room and seeing it was empty kept walking.

"Probably a good idea. She knows where the headquarters for the underground is and if they arrest her they might find a way to figure out where it is." Lauren said as she slowed looking at a door closer, "I think I have an idea of where we are. This looks familiar."

"You said that three hallways ago and then we had to fight three guards," I said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," she said, waving her hand at me dismissively before using her powers to cut the lock holding the door closed. It just barely worked. She breathed a sigh of relief, she was still a little freaked about her powers being taken away.

Lauren and I looked at each other and nodded. Even if there were a hundred guards on the other side of this door we were ready.

I used my powers to push the door open. It banged open to reveal a cell block.

"This is it. This is the place they kept me at first." Lauren said quietly.

I barely heard her. Jace Turner was angrily looking around the cell block with his gun drawn yelling at the prisoners. I narrowed my eyes. I couldn't stand him. He suddenly looked up at us and glared. He must have heard the noise we made when we broke the door.

"Ah look who's decided to join the party," he said as he pointed his gun at us, "Andrew and Lauren Strucker, you know I've been looking for you everywhere."

"Seems you do a bad job at actually finding the people you were looking for. You were looking for John for like, what, two years? I mean come on, I didn't even get through two years of high school." I said as Lauren and I both moved into fighting positions.

"Yes, but I did find him, and I also found your sister. Oh, and once I have apprehended you and your sister again, I'll go find your little friend," Turner said.

"Mia? Yeah no, you won't find her, she'll find you." Lauren said laughing. "You also didn't manage to keep me or John in captivity for long. You had me for what, a month? And John, you barely even had him for a day."

Turner was distracted, his gun wasn't pointed at us anymore. He was too busy trying to come up with a comeback. Lauren, who was thinking the same thing I was, shot a disk at him. I used my powers to make it explode, launching Turner halfway across the room in a single blow. I smiled. It felt so good to use my powers with Lauren again. There was no way I would have been able to push him that far back by myself.

Turner tried to stand up but before he got far he yelled and fell back down. I looked at him to see an arrow going through his shoulder. Mia was suddenly standing behind him, her green eyes wide, with another arrow already loaded onto her bow.

"Mia, where were you?" I said as Lauren and I walked over.

She nodded, "I was balancing on a pole near the ceiling. This dude is hard to hit. He caught one of my arrows before."

She walked around Turner who was still on the floor giving him a wide berth, only going close enough to grab that gun he dropped. She went over to Lauren and quickly gave her a small hug.

"I'm glad you're okay," Mia said as she pulled away from the hug.

Lauren smiled, "Yeah, but now we need to get out of here."

I wasn't really paying attention to the conversation. I was watching Turner, he was clearly in a lot of pain but he was fumbling to try to grab something on his belt. I leaned closer to where Lauren and Mia were standing, "Mia why don't you find a car to steal, I assume they already found ours, that way we can get out of here."

Mia nodded, "You sure you don't need me?"

"Yeah, just stay away from the prison. Once you've found a car, drive a little into the woods and stay there. We'll catch up." I glanced at Lauren who nodded. She knew exactly what I was planning.

Mia looked at us suspiciously but nodded and walked away.

I turned to Lauren, "let's give her 15 or so minutes to get out."

She nodded, motioning to Turner who was still on the ground, "And in the meantime, we get to deal with this asshole."

"You're monsters," Turner growled from the ground.

I looked at him, "If we're monsters what does that make you? And don't say a hero because we all know that's not true."

"At least we're aware we are the bad guys," Lauren said quietly leaning down to Turner, "We know what we're doing probably isn't the right move but honestly just between you and me, we kinda like it, killing. It's fun, you know, we get a little rush every time we do it."

She stood up and glanced at the cells around us, all holding terrified prisoners. She walked towards one but stopped, glaring at the person inside.

"Who's that?" I asked, walking over. I could feel the hatred radiating off her.

She took a deep breath, "No one that mattered, she's a coward and a bully. We both know people like that don't matter. Let's just focus on one asshole at a time."

We both turned back to look at Turner. I slowly walked back over to him with Lauren close behind me. I sat down on top of the table next to where he was.

"You know something that always bothered me about you is why you are so hellbent on screwing our lives up? I mean seriously if you think about it, everything that majorly went wrong in our lives can be traced back to something you did," I said studying him as a quick look of confusion crossed his face, "You tried to arrest us the night I got my powers which led to us joining the underground allowing all the other shit that's happened to us to happen. Now this one doesn't directly pertain to you but it still affected us and it was your friends after all. Your friends killed our grandfather, erasing any opportunity we had to even try to control Fenris or the darkness inside of us that led us down the path that we are on."

"Don't forget attacking the underground headquarters forcing us to use Fenris fully for the first time and killing 15 people in one go. That was the first time we had ever hurt anyone." Lauren added hopping up onto the table next to me.

"Everyone in that building was a terrorist hiding from the law. I was just doing my job." Jace Turner said from the ground.

"Did we say you could speak?" Lauren said, cutting his arm on her disks. While glaring at him. I could tell she was just itching to kill him but we had to wait until Mia had enough time to get out of the blast zone.

"Anyway, now this one is a big one. You attacked that apartment complex our family was staying at, giving the frost sisters the opportunity to get to us and mind control us and force us to destroy Sentinel Services headquarters." I said, "So really it's all your fault that all those people are dead."

"Don't try to blame your sins on me. What you have done is entirely your own doing." Turner said grimacing. He was probably in more pain than he was letting on.

I pulled Lauren a couple of feet away from him, "What if we kill him first then use Fenris?

"As long as he suffers I don't really care," she said quietly.

"We could make him suffer longer if we kill him first. It'd also give Mia a little more time to get out." I said.

Lauren dragged her gaze away from Turner to look at me, "Why do you care so much if she makes it out?"

"She's our friend. We'd wait if Lorna or Marcos were here. Why wouldn't we wait for Mia to get out?" I said. For some reason, I just really didn't want her to get hurt. It didn't make sense. We weren't even that close but I just really felt the urge to keep her safe. It was one of the reasons I didn't want her to come with me here.

Lauren pressed her lips together and looked at me like she knew exactly what I was thinking, "Whatever. Let's just finish what we started."

Lauren walked back over to Turner while I hung back a little. She hated him more than I did. I watched silently as Lauren slowly cut him apart. He had little slash marks everywhere on his body, nothing too major but deep enough that he would bleed out given enough time.

I glanced at my watch after a while, seeing Jace Turner in pain was fun and all but we needed to get out of here. Before I could actually read what time it was I heard the doors open behind me I quickly got up and instantly used my powers throwing two guards at a wall. They slumped to the ground unconscious.

Lauren glanced at the wall where the guards were before turning back to Turner, "You know I really hate you."

"Screw off," he said, his mouth full of blood.

"I hope you enjoy hell," Lauren said before making a razor-sharp disk above her hand and neatly gliding it through Jace Turner's neck cutting it off completely.

Blood splattered onto Lauren and my clothes. I sighed, I really liked this jacket. I was glad that bitch was dead though. One less thing we would have to worry about.

Lauren turned to me smiling, "They probably know this is where we are by now. We should probably get going."

I nodded glancing at my watch to actually read the time, "Yeah. Are you ready to blow this place to hell?"

"I was ready a month ago," she said sighing in relief.

I walked over to her and held out my hand. We hadn't actually used Fenris in over a year, not since Sentinel Services. We had come close a few times but we never actually did it.

Lauren smiled and took my hand. I instantly felt a warmth rush through me, warming me to the bone. We both smiled as our minds fully merged into one. We could feel everything around us, it slowly started to come apart. If we wanted to we could vaporize it but we let ourselves enjoy the feeling of finally being Fenris a little, building out power to become the most destructive we could be. We faintly heard the door open once more and guards started yelling and shooting at us. It was too late. The glow that started in our hands fully circled us and flowed outward. Destroying everything it touched.

It only took a couple of seconds for the glow to fade and the area around us to be vaporized. I smiled as I let go of Lauren's hand. We were both breathing heavily but smiling.

"That felt amazing," she said.

I nodded in agreement, "Let's go find Mia before anyone else shows up. It's been a long month."

We started to walk towards the untouched trees just a few feet away from the edge of the destruction, our steps unconsciously in sync. Everything felt right again.

I did it. I had broken Lauren out of prison. Nothing would ever force us apart again.

*Hope you enjoyed this chapter! It took me so long to write it but honestly, it was kind of worth it to get to write the end of this chapter.*
