 Author has written 19 stories for General Hospital, Final Fantasy VII, Diana Wynne Jones, Merlin, Misfits, 2009, Harry Potter, Mindy Project, and Walking Dead. My first taste of fanfiction was back in 1998 when I got my first personal computer. The first story I read was about a Mary Sue who met and fell in love with one of the Backstreet Boys. I've been hooked ever since. Over time I've read a LOT of crap fanfic, but then there also a few gems that are worth wading through all the bad stuff for. I've also read and written for a variety of fandoms. The first fandom was of course fanfic for the Backstreet Boys. I forgive myself for it because I was only 12 at the time, and I'm allowed to be a teenybopper once in my life. I also collaborated with a good friend and created an epic story of romance and drama in which I was the main character! I forgive myself for this because it actually taught me a lot about writing. I never shared it with anyone but a few close friends, but I've got it printed out and stuffed in my closet if I ever feel nostalgic. Then I discovered Star Trek: Voyager in it's last couple of seasons and fell in love with Paris and Torres. I was even more pleased to discover that there was already a huge collection of fanfiction for them: P/T Archive http:///ptcarchive/. I wrote a couple of fics, but was never actually brave enough to post them. I also randomly got into Wolverine/Rogue fic. I think there was an author who wrote P/T and W/R fic. There's a great archive for them here: Wolverine and Rogue http:///fic/index.php. After Voyager went off the air I got into General Hospital. Fanfiction for Soap Operas seems almost unnecessary because if you wait long enough, almost every scenario for any coupling imaginable does eventually happen. But in any case, the first stories I ever posted online were GH fanfic about my once favorite character Courtney Matthews (Jason/Courtney, Lorenzo/Courtney and Jax/Courtney). I've only posted two stories here on fanfiction.net, but my other stories are in various places on the net. Anyway, my brother gave me a bootleg copy of Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children for Thanksgiving in 2004(?), and I rediscovered my love for FF7. I replayed the game over Winter Break, and read fanfic voraciously. Tifa is my favorite character and I'll read anything with her in it as long as it's well written, or even just mildly entertaining. Shards is good. It does a great job fleshing out Tifa as a character and explains who she is today. I like CloudxTifa, VincentxTifa, RenoxTifa, RufusxTifa, RudexTifa, SephirothxTifa, ZackxTifa...I'm not picky, although I'm partial to VincentxTifa. Mainly because of Feathers in the Maelstrom http:///fitm.html, which hasn't been updated since 2005, but I still check the website in vain every once in a while, hoping for an update. All the fanfiction I read is character or couple-centric. But within a fandom, there are couples/characters that I can't stand so I don't read them. So I know I'm probably missing out on other fanfic gems. I bet there are probably a few stories out there that are so good that they could probably make me like a character I normally can't stand...like Aeris...but I like to stubbornly cling to my grudges, so I don't read them. As for my own fic, I've only ever completed one longfic, but I do plan to complete Tifa's Betrayal, The Courtship of Sophie Hatter, and The Materia of Time.
