I don't own Hetalia okay? I honestly don't have much to say on this one so enough of the A/N, on with the fic!
While Alfred was off in the kitchen, Natalya and Ivan sat in the living room as she pulled out her phone and dialed Katyusha, hoping she was available. It rang and Natalya sighed, "She may have had to work today..."
"Pryvit sestrychka!" Katyusha said as she had finally picked up the phone as Natalya was getting ready to leave a message. "It's so good to hear from you and I assume Vanya is there too."
"Hello big sis." Ivan said.
"So how was your Christmas? Open the gifts yet? It's about 4 in the afternoon here. So it's about 9 there? Still pretty early. Has Vanya adjusted yet? He's been there for a little over a week and a half now."
"I am getting used to it." Ivan smiled. "My house still intact? I had hired our cousin Ravis to look after it for some extra money while he is in University..."
"Oh it's fine. He's been reporting to me daily and I think he enjoys Moscow. Or well, being in a city bigger than the ones in Latvia." Katyusha smiled. "Everything is fine and your ceramic Cherburaska holding sunflowers is still in one piece. You know Ravis is not the type to throw wild parties when housesitting." Thank god that Fredka did not hear what you just said Katyusha, he already made fun of Vanya's suitcase for a luggage tag with that creature. Natalya thought. "So, how has it been? Has Vanya and Fredka wanted to kill each other yet?"
Ivan began to say something when Natalya cut him off. "Well they haven't gotten along well until they were both playing Call of Duty Zombies the other day but they haven't wanted to fight each other like when they had first met." She said.
"Well that's an improvement." Katyusha laughed.
"How has your day been?" Ivan asked.
"Oh it's been fine. Sadiq and I had spent lunch at this new bistro and he seemed really interesting."
"Who is Sadiq?" Natalya demanded. She grew concerned that someone may be trying to take advantage of her and knew how much of an issue it was when Feliks kicked her out, and worried the same would happen with Sadiq.
"Oh he's this man from Turkey who actually is looking into buying some farms here in Ukraine and wants me to help him run them. I met him at the farm supply store when I was looking into buying some new planters when the spring growing season comes in. He said I was so smart about farming and wanted someone who knew the land and soil and thought I was brilliant." Ivan and Natalya looked at each other. They knew how people were with Katyusha and how she had the worst luck with men. They looked at each other with a tense silence when Alfred walked in, and broke it.
"Okay so breakfast is almost ready guys. Do you have Katy on the line?" He asked noticing them close together while Natalya was holding her phone out.
"Is that Fredka? Tell him I said shchaslyvoho Rizdva" Katyusha said loudly.
"Oh…. I'm guessing that's Merry Christmas…." Alfred said.
"I didn't know you knew Ukrainian Fredka!" Katyusha said.
"I honestly guessed. Sounds a lot like schastlivogo Rozhdestva. Nattie said Ukrainian sounds a lot like Russian and Ivan's been trying to teach me after he told me how bad I messed up on my one simulator on the Russian language…." Alfred blushed.
"That is so nice of you Vanya, helping Fredka learn it better. Even though you had called him tupoy pererosshiy giperaktivnyy rebenok, nesposobnyy vesti sebya tsivilizovanno." Katyusha said happily while Ivan blushed while Natalya looked at him sternly while Alfred was confused.
"That was not very nice." Natalya explained.
"Didn't expect it to be." Alfred shrugged. "Kind of gotten used to this big guy's backhanded insults and I know he's called me every bad name in the book in Russian. But hey, he's protective of you. I am of my brother, speaking of which I have to call him soon and make sure Julia hasn't gotten him killed or something…."
"Oh that is so sweet." Katyusha said. "But you two do not need to worry about Sadiq. He's nothing like Feliks was. I appreciate that you want the best for me, but I am the older sister. I should worry about you." Alfred looked at Natalya to Ivan on this, piecing together that this must have been someone new Katyusha had met someone that had Natalya and Ivan concerned and from what Alfred knew, he knew that Katyusha was someone who attracted a lot of people to her but a lot of them used her or treated her badly and her heart was not one that would think so. "But I really must go. I am meeting Sadiq later to discuss the management of the farm he bought. You know that there is no stop to business here today in Ukraine. "Do pobachennya, moyi malenʹki braty, sestra i shvaher" and with this she hung up leaving Alfred, Natalya and Ivan staring in silence.
"Uhhh breakfast is ready. Made pancakes and bacon if you want." Alfred said feeling the worry. "Besides, I overheard some of that call. She said he was from Turkey, that might not turn into some 'Not Without My Daughter' situation…" He laughed nervously.
"While there may be some truth to that, does not mean I do not worry about her still." Ivan sighed. Noticing Natalya's look at him Ivan continued. "I do thank you for concern for Katyusha as well. It means a lot."
"Dude, she's nice. Too nice to let some jerk take advantage of her." Alfred said as he put some of the pancakes on the plate for Natalya and Ivan.
"It's because she is too nice that "jerks" take advantage of her." Natalya sighed as she sat down and began to eat, to which Ivan nodded to her comment. After this, Alfred headed to his office to call his family, to which Natalya insisted on joining as they were her in-laws and she was going to make sure they didn't do anything stupid. Which, rolling his eyes with a smile he kissed her on the cheek as his phone started to ring. "That's Julia…." She noted.
"Yeah." Alfred said as he answered the phone. "What's up Jules?" he asked.
"Ja Ja Guten Tag. Frohe Weihnachten Alfred." Julia said as Matthew ran up in the background.
"Julia, couldn't you have waited for them to call? Ludwig is tending to the heart attack you you've given your father!"
"Well Vati needs to get used to that title, like he's going to hear it from Ludwig's family…way he is with that Feliciano…." Julia said.
"What is going on?" Alfred asked curiously.
"Well you and that Natalya girl really need to get busy to keep up with Mattie and I…." Julia said.
"Huh?" Alfred said confused, looking over to Natalya who looked much the same.
"My Vati is going to be called Opa a lot now…." Julia laughed.
"Ummmm Mattie?" Alfred asked.
"Let me tell them Jules…." Matthew said.
"Fine. I've had my fun. Old man Vati probably has had enough shocks this holiday anyway…." Julia said as she handed her phone over to Matthew.
"So Matvey, can you provide us some explanation as to that?" Natalya said.
"Oh, well we've had an interesting Christmas. Julia and Ludwig both wanted to see their father this year and well, Ludwig brought his boyfriend, still don't get how a man like him would end up with someone like Feliciano…. But you can imagine that gave him quite a shock and then Julia finds out she's pregnant and decided to tell him today, so on top of getting adjusted to his younger son having a boyfriend he now learns he's going to be a grandfather." Matthew explained. "So how has your Christmas been? I know you told me that Ivan was staying with you guys and he doesn't like you too much Al…."
"Starshiy brat still has his moments but these two are getting better Matvey. I just need to get them in line." Natalya said. "But you said that Julia is pregnant?"
"Yep. How do you say Aunt and Uncle in Russian? French it's tante et oncle." Matthew said.
"tetya i dyadya" Natalya said. "So that's what she was going on about."
"Yeah. And well she hopes that you two will get to it faster…." Matthew said with an embarrassed laugh. "She wants to raise our kid with yours, thinking it would be cute if the cousins could play together…"
"Well we are working on it." Alfred rolled his eyes.
"Well I got to it first." Matthew said. "I guess because my birthday is sooner that I should get my wife pregnant first huh?"
"Oh shove it Matt." Alfred scoffed as Natalya rolled her eyes. You two are as competitive as you are with big brother, but I guess you guys grew up together or maybe the fact that your brother is meeker than Vanya makes your interaction different. "Who knows, Nattie may be too, but hasn't noticed it yet."
"While Julia may be making it a race, I am not." Matthew said. "I don't care really."
"Well honestly we are trying, just not hard." Alfred said. "But was her dad okay otherwise?"
"Oh yeah he was fine. It would take more than meeting Feliciano, and finding out he's going to be a grandfather to kill that old oak. But can't say he wasn't surprised." Matthew laughed. "Oh and don't tell Papa and Mum."
"Why?" Alfred said.
"Because we are going to tell them ourselves. Heading to Paris for New Year's to tell them. Freaking long train ride tomorrow to do it but hey. Let Aldrich deal with Ludwig and Feliciano on his own. From what he's told me, Julia was the trouble child and Ludwig was the one who did everything perfectly. I think Papa and Mum could handle her a little better."
"Oh I don't know." Alfred said, remembering the wedding.
"Trust me, they can." Matthew said. "Well I'll let you go."
"Okay later dude." Alfred said hanging up as he turned to Natalya who was looking at one of the models of an airplane he had hanging from the ceiling. "Sorry for leaving you out of it like that."
"I understand. It is your brother after all," Natalya smiled.
"Which reminds me…." Alfred said mischievously. "You saw what I got you, you'd look so hot in that and well, Mattie's kid will need a cool cousin. And that turkey isn't the only thing that needs stuffing." He said as he pulled Natalya close.
"Well I will admit that it did look rather beautiful… and want to see how it does look…." Natalya admit, knowing Ivan was not around.
"And there's only one way to make that baby…." Alfred whispered in her ear when a loud thumping was heard outside his office door.
"ALFRED!" Ivan yelled pounding on the door.
"Fuck me…. I'm not getting any any time soon." Alfred sighed.
"What?" Alfred asked as he opened the door irritated.
"Oh nothing. I was wondering when you would start Christmas dinner." Ivan smiled innocently while Natalya rolled her eyes knowing how grumpy Alfred was going to be now.
"Hungry already you big Russian Bear?" Alfred teased with playful malice.
"I have to know when to heat up my dishes." Ivan smiled.
"In a few hours I will start the bird. Now let me be!" Alfred said shutting the door. "Where were we?"
"This is a nice model of a MIG fighter." Natalya said looking at it.
"Yeah. I made it myself to get an idea of the scope and controls…." Alfred said. "Now come on…."
"Maybe later tonight." She said as he kissed him on the cheek.
"Freaking cock block. As if he knows what's going on up here anyway…." Alfred pout.
"Trust me, you will have your way with me by night's end." Natalya assured him.

So how was that? Good? Bad? Short? Long? Let me know in a review. I don't know when I will be able to update again. Work, school and various projects for both make things hard to get what I like doing done. And honestly I can see Katyusha not having a lot of luck with guys so I am just using a lot of the main Ukraine pairings there. I don't have much to say other than remember to read (well you just did) and to review. Ciao for now,
