Kol was having fun with the guarding duty he was doing. Joyfully, he got up early and left for school ignoring the odd looks Elijah and Klaus gave him.
He arrived at Bonnie's house then he saw Gilbert boy was talking to whom he assumed was Bonnie's father. He listened to the conversation from afar.
'What do you mean she has gone to her mother to clear her head? ' Jeremy asked suspiciously.
'As I said, Jeremy.'
'She doesn't answer her calls.'
This made Kol nervous. Bonnie knew the dangers of going off alone. Somebody could have gotten her. No, he thought again. That wouldn't happen he saw the kind of power she possessed. No one could touch her unless she allowed it to. Or so he hoped. He stepped in.
'I am afraid we have no time to banter.' Kol tried to compel him.
Apparently, it didn't work. The man's face was indifferent.
'I use vervain regularly, young man.' Rudy eyed Kol.
Kol decided to change his strategy. He couldn't get the information from the man by force. He was Bonnie's father, hurting him was out of the question. He tried to mimic Elijah.
'Sir, we think your daughter is in grave danger if you know anything about where she is…'
'My daughter is capable of protecting herself Kol Mikaelson and the safest place for her to be is with her mother.' Rudy casually closed the door.
'Great,' Jeremy exasperated. 'Did you have to interfere? If you didn't butt in, I could have made him talk.'
'We have no time to lose Gilbert. Call the blondie! Maybe she can find out something.'
'Why call Caroline and not Elena?'
'Don't even think about calling your sister! Something is fishy.'
…
Jeremy briefly explained the situation to Caroline. There was no sight of Bonnie in the school either.
'This isn't good, Bonnie never runs off. I'll try to reason with Mr. Rudy or maybe my mother…'
Then there was a small pause no voice came from the blond for a few seconds.
'What is it,' Jeremy asked in a concerted manner.
'Shane is here.'
…
Abby hated this.
Her life, drugging her daughter, keeping her sedated, forcing her for a ritual…
She was never the mother Bonnie deserved or the wife Rudy deserved.
She loved being a witch at first. When people, ancestral spirits, and vampires didn't come after her. Then she started to look at others.
She resented her friends who had normal lives. So becoming a vampire didn't suck as much as she thought. In a way, she was free. Finally, she got rid of the magic everyone wanted from her.
But her daughter wasn't free. She thought she could give her a normal life by leaving but her mother Sheila just had to teach her what she was. She shouldn't have been surprised. Her own mother called her weak because she didn't like being a witch. Since Silas was coming after her granddaughter now, Abby wondered Sheila was still thinking the same.
Bonnie found shelter with Kol Mikaelson who was the wildest original and had used New Orleans witches like pawns against his pathetic schemes against Klaus. She couldn't watch that happen.
After she cleansed Bonnie from expression, she hoped Bonnie would never return to Mystic Falls.
…
.
'Trick or treat. OR JUST TRICK!'
Kol slammed Shane to the wall, closing the office's door. His hand was on the feeble man's throat, nearly choking him to death. The man was probably running away. He had gathered all his stuff into a box but all fell to the floor when Kol strangle him.
'WHERE IS SHE?' Kol spat.
'You can't stop what is coming.' The choking Shane whimpered.
'You know where she is, don't you?'
'Oh yes, after your partnership with Ms. Bennett I had to improvise my plan.'
'Tell me what did you do to her and maybe I can consider sparing your life.' He was just baiting. Kol had no intention to let the man live.
'Sorry brother, but I can't let you kill him.'
Kol heard Rebekah's sickly sweet voice as a familiar sensation of a dagger stinging his back then his heart. As he stole a final glance of his sister, he desiccated in defeat. Was this how it was going to be? Hell on earth would be unleashed. Not that he cared if he was going to stay desiccated. But he gave Bonnie his word to keep her safe. And he was never going to see her again.
'You know if we somehow force Jeremy Gilbert to kill him, that would make enough vampire sacrifices for the mark…'
'Get your hands away from him or I kill you myself,' Rebekah threatened Shane.
'Couldn't have said better myself.'
Rebekah stared in Shock as Klaus barged into Shane's office with Caroline and Jeremy.
He eyed Shane, Rebekah, and the desiccated Kol carefully.
'What is going on in here?'
…
'I know this town and what is happening here is difficult for you to adjust, Rudy.' Liz Forbes tried to reason with Rudy.
'A mad man manipulated my daughter into doing sacrificial rituals and then raise all the dead and now she might die because of the black magic in her system, Liz. I don't think you know how I feel.'
'You are right. Caroline and Bonnie's situations are completely different. And the others don't depend on Caroline as much as they do with Bonnie. But I also know the others helped Bonnie in some of the troublesome events too. They are defending each other at all costs, Rudy. If Caroline is saying Bonnie might be in danger, you should listen to it.'
'Listen, Liz, I can't…'
'God, you are acting like my ex-husband. Knocking her out, letting her mother kidnap her… Just let them take off each other. They know this world better than we do.'
…
'Enough of this foolishness, Rebekah.'
'Nik, think about it. You can have your hybrids back, we can put Kol into asleep until we find the cure.'
The idea sounded tempting to Klaus. Caroline looked at him to what his reaction would be while Jeremy was checking the professor's notes. Three of them barricaded through the door making sure no one had escaped.
'I don't think so. I know a false agreement when I see one. Put the dagger out of Kol.'
'Nik…'
'Do it.'
Desperately Rebekah got the dagger out of Kol. Kol gasped as the color returned to his face. He glared at Rebekah. 'You…'
'You are a quite meddlesome man, Professor.' Klaus interrupted Kol before he could attack Rebekah. 'Endangering my brother's life twice and manipulating my sister. I am afraid my patience with you is wearing quite thin.'
'Did you find where Bonnie is,' Kol asked Caroline?
'Yes, my mum said Abby took her to the Fell's Church to cleanse her from dark magic.'
Shane chuckled, it infuriated Kol.
'You seemed amused by the news, you planned this didn't you?'
'Wait, Bonnie is going to get cleansed of the dark magic What is wrong with it,' Caroline asked curiously.
Shane smiled.
'Well, I have let the other witches know she got herself involved with Silas. They will probably try to kill her in the ritual.'
'But they can't,' Kol added seriously. 'This is what you intended. You want to force Bonnie to kill all those witches so you will be one step closer to freeing Silas.'
Caroline covered her mouth in shock. Rebekah didn't seem very surprised. Klaus was astounded by the reveal. He could never imagine one pesky Professor could be a mastermind of a manipulator. He almost made Katerina seem like an angel.
'So Silas is real, and your intention was to free him all along, not finding the cure. Is that right, Professor?
'Oh yes Klaus Mikaelson, and once he is freed this town-this world will welcome its new king. He is centuries older and more powerful than you.'
That had been enough to set Klaus off. He lifted the man in the air while holding him on a chokehold. Caroline knew this man was done for after his last comment. She made no effort to stop Klaus. Shane had manipulated them all not just Bonnie, fooled them into turning humans (even though they were criminals) into vampires and making Jeremy kill them. Hybrids were also killed because of him. Well, his and Hayley's fault.
'I really want to kill you myself but it would be unfair. Kol, would you do the honors?'
Black veins appeared in Kol's face as his teeth came out and his eyes tuned the blackest shape of color.
'With pleasure.'
The wildest of Mikaelsons bit the Professor to induce pain and snapped his neck.
