DUMBASS! And then you call them geniuses?! No! You (protag/hero/heroine) are a dumbass. And any EXPERIENCED WRITER who still does that must know that that isn't smart, that's bad writing. Don't hold your reader's hands! Let them figure it out or theorize! It's more fun that way instead of telling them detail for detail what your character just did! IMPORTANT: New writers are excused, but to be excused does not mean to continue this stupidity. Improvement of oneself is essential in all aspects of life. Was that harsh? Yes. But who listens to those who are soft-spoken? Fewer people than to those who choose to speak their minds, that's for sure. |
