Above the clouds that roamed over the Empire State Building was where the Olympian god's resided.
The Olympian's were in the throne room arguing which was nothing new but this argument was more serious than many others.
"Hera you finally had an affair!"an ecstatic voice that was so enchanting that it would make men and women do anything to fulfill the owners every desire .
"No I did not have an affair y-you whore!.all I did was find a man who could satisfy my requirements for a child then we did a ritual in blood to create a child"a more proper female voice said vitriol in every word at one of the few who understood her yet at the same time went against her in every action she took especially in recent decades.
The argument was broken from a male his voice was baritone like the waves at sea.
"Sister I think you just describe a courtship or as the mortals say nowadays a one night stand"he said humor on his handsome persona making Hera the one who spoke before to give him a glare her beautiful blue eyes blazing with disgust which the god if the sea took easily since this was tame compared to centuries ago.
The impending argument was cut off by hestia the goddess in her preferred form of a little girl who was sitting near the hearth "that's enough everyone "she said a slight edge to her voice silencing everyone as if Zeus had used his master bolt.
"A-Alright sister we'll calm down"a more calmer Demeter said an uneasy smile on her face not used to her oldest sister lgetting angry but that tiny frown on her young features said it all.
"Alright let us get to the heart of the matter ,Hera has cheated and has had a bastard child"Zeus said shooting his wife an accusatory glance which just made her stare back her eyes burning with contempt .
"May I remind you husband that you had not one nor two but millions worth of your progeny even with an oath you could not keep faithful .Atleast Poseidon had the will power to only sire one child "the goddess of marriage drawled her voice bored yet her words were factually correct .
Although she still shot her brother a harsh look of disapproval making the god of the sea to at least look sheepish.
The younger gods and goddess stared at the argument between there father and (step)mother bewildered at the very idea that Hera who absolutely abhorred the very concept of demigods had a kid outside of wedlock .
With a mortal .
"Hey if Hera can have a son maybe we should check for a couple little bow wielding red heads "the glasses wearing god of war said a smirk on his rugged handsome face getting a squeal from the love goddess who looked just as happy about the idea and a snarl from said goddess of the hunt.
"Do not be foolish Ares I do not have any children I am the goddess of maidens"she said a sneer on her pretty face silver eyes cold while the goddess of lust giggled the sound of bells filling the air.
"What I'm interested in is the boys ability to manipulate soul fire "a stern female voice said belonging to a beautiful black haired women who had stormy grey colored eyes.
Getting a snort from the newly arrived god of madness who was flipping through a wine magazine .
"Oh come on D even you gotta admit the kid has some interesting tricks up his sleeves "Hermès said a smirk on his face glad for the distraction from his thoughts of his defected son Luke.
"Yeah but when was the last time a demigod actually had a connection to the primal forces of magic "Apollo said making everyone nod since as soon as arashi arrived at camp and he was making his rounds near Long Island he knew the kid had a connection to the sun arcanum which was rare especially since it runs on magic and understanding and not divinity like say Percy Jackson's natural abilities.
"I'm pretty sure that's why he taught amara how to harness her flames "dyounous drawled making Apollo nod in agreement while Athena glared at mispronunciation of her favorite daughter name .
"Yes but it's obvious he has intentions to see if the ones who have been at camp the longest would like to learn it's the logical thing to do and it will help him repay the life debt he owes your children for his recovery "Athena theorized knowing how magical uses viewed owing people making Apollo groan since the son of Hera was getting closer with his baby girl and he didn't know how to feel about it and by the knowing smile on Aphrodite's knowing smile his intuition was right .
On one hand in this day and age people didn't start courting until around 11 or 12 and it would mostly be puppy love but it could also be love at first sight he didn't know which until the relationship progresses more.
"Actually speaking of the boy Hera I have a question "Artemis said to the goddess who has been watching everyone carefully gauging everyone's reaction to see who would be a problem .
The goddess of home blinked her beautiful blue eyes in surprise before looking at her stepdaughter in wonder since she was enjoying the compliments about her son .
"Oh I think I know what it is !"the perky voice of Aphrodite called a Cheshire smile on her face making the two women to frown in annoyance .
"When he entered camp I felt a maiden as well why is that?" The goddess asked
"Alright can someone tell us already!"Hermès said wanting to know what the big deal was about before his phone buzzed before a stack of papers appeared before Hera making her sigh through pursed full lips.
The god of messages blinked before throwing his hands up "and that what is with all the paperwork I've been delivering to you !"he yelled a wild look in his eyes making her look up from reading through the stacks of work before shaking her head in disapproval.
"These"she said holding up the pile of papers"are marriage contracts for Arashi im proof reading every one of them as for that pile over there it's company shares "she said bluntly making Hermès look curious since he was the god of business and Aphrodite to squeal since that was just dripping with future drama.
"Yes that's all good and all but you still haven't awnser my question "the goddess of the moon said annoyed wanting her to answer already.
"That's because Arashi is technically gender fluid "she said wanting to get it over with making the love goddess to have an even bigger smile if that was even possible.
"Wha what do you mean?"The auburn haired goddess asked confused
"His father put a block on his metamorph powers he can't change into animals but he can switch to females which means he's both .
"Why would he do that ? It could seriously damage his sense of identity "Apollo pointed out making Hera sigh in annoyance yet there was some fondness in her eyes.
"Ryusuke was a lot of things smart ,talented,determined and selfless but in the world he lived in he knew a daughter would be harder to raise even if he had female help assassins would just attack the child even more since there's opportunity for molestation was higher for a girl "she said a frown on her face after all she was a goddess she knew just how depraved humanity could be to each other.
"So your claiming is slowly removing the block to give him time to process"Athena said nodding at the wise decision.
"Yes it is and Apollo as we all know a decision has consequences big or small he might of been strong but he was mortal"she said understanding what the god of medicine was getting at .
"I wish i could've found Ryusuke he was a very handsome man"pouted Aphrodite as ares sensed rising negative emotions he looked in the direction to see his father
'He's gonna blow' The god of war thought sitting up straight anticipating what's going to happen a grin on his handsome scarred face.
Zeus looked like he was foaming at the mouth with rage that a mortal somehow caught his wife's attention they might not have had sex but she still showed some interest in the mage .which made no sense he was the king of the gods (well the Olympians anyway) which made her the queen she had everything ,but now with Arashi being born there relationship took a turn and not for the better.
Hera over the years he's notice hasn't yelled about any of his latest conquests and he had no shortage of them even now .So there was no doubt that his wife knew about the other men and women,but she just looked at him boredly now a days like she just couldn't care less.
And that bugged him especially since she's obviously willing to have other men's children
"Enough talk of some puny insignificant mortal !."he shouted making everyone blink since there enhance sense were ringing from the booming in the kings voice before Zeus took a breath knowing he won't win any points if he was emotional."as we have more important matters to attend to like discussing the boys request for having tantalus removed at camp
"Alright can we just say to the brat we can't have Chiron stay at camp it was his duty to protect Thalia's tree and he failed end of story "Ares said a frown on his face since his father didn't blow up like he wanted making Hera frown at her son for calling his half brother brat.
Hephaestus was silent not really knowing how to feel since on one hand this was his mother's son the same women who threw him off of mount Olympus just because he didn't fit her stereotypical 'perfect family',but on the other the kid didn't deserve to be hated for something out of his control he decided to just tinker with the invention in his hands his ears perked to hear the others views on the subject.
Although the look in Ares eyes didn't fool the other deities he had a point Chiron should of seen an attack coming after the son of Hermès defection especially since there were a few Olympians who agreed that Kronos was amassing an army .
Privately Poseidon was already readying his forces for war thankfully Zeus had no idea of this or he would of blown it way out proportion thinking the sea god was trying to take his throne which was far from the truth he had his own kingdom to run .
"Yes but with Arashi's barrier up and running it should be easier to keep an eye on things inside and it cannot sustain itself without Chiron's presence"Hera pointed out making everyone nod in agreement a grin blooming on Hermès handsome features since he could approve of the cunning plan to keep the centaur in camp even if he lost his position.
"Yes but the barrier will fail in a manner of weeks it is still made from mortal magic ,strong magic but mortal none the less "Athena said a frown on her face since her daughter went through a lot of trouble to bring the son of the queen to the camp only for his attempts to only partially succeed .
Although she will admit to being filled with pride at Annabeth's success at manifesting her flames on the first couple times after the mage released them and told her the property of her flames.
"Alright how about we come to a compromise "Apollo said hopeful since Chiron was his student and he didn't want his fellow archer to be sacked from the place he called home.
"Yes nephew I think that is an acceptable idea does anyone disagree ?"hestia asked her warm eyes glancing at her youngest sister also noticing the changes that have taken place in the last decade .They weren't necessary bad changes like she could tolerate the presence of demigods when they came up to Olympus for there trips .The thing that really caught the attention of many gods and goddess was she opened up a marriage counselor's office to help people in the relationships.she was prone to have relapse once in a while of course she still had her volatile temper which was aimed at Zeus now a days.
The thing was she has really improved her attitude over these past few years and she had a pretty good idea why.although she had to wonder just how much planning she has put into Arashi's existence and how far does her sisters machinations go.
After all almost every god was guilty of changing a couple tiny things in the world for there benefit and by the feel of the boys godly divinity it didn't just contain Greek .So she had to wonder what were her plans and how would they hurt the child and her family.
"Alright all in favor of this being the final decision until further notice say aye"a disgruntled god of lighting boomed a displeased look on his handsome features breaking the goddess of the hearth from her thoughts.
"Aye!"
"All those opposed "he said a hopeful look on his face.
"Nay!
AN:finally done with this chapter it took a while since the gods have such diverse personalities and I had to figure out there reactions to Arashi and the points he made.As you all just read some are happy about the changes that are happening to Hera ,others are not and the rest are just confused.
The gods have been around for a long time the only reason they wouldn't know something was either because they are arrogant or the fates actively hide it so of course they would know about soul fire and the primal arcanums.
The meeting was discussed now it's time to go back to everyone's favorite camp .
