It happened almost too quickly one moment they were at home and the next they were sitting in chairs at a movie theater

The villains were here too but not the minions and Gru wondered why until a purple fox came out "hello I'm midnight you will be here to learn about the minions by viewing a movie explaining their adventure and backstory" she explained

" the villains won't hurt you and the reason the minions aren't here is,because I don't want them crying or depressed about what they went through in the past so without father ado enjoy! "

I'm skipping the titles and everything until the narration

The scene emerged with the minions popping out of the sea seeing an island fascinated as one of them spit out water

" have been on this planet far longer than we go by many names Dave,Carl,Paul,Mike" The last minion that came out noticed he wasn't wearing and clothing and hastily put starfish on his chest walking along with the other minions

"Oh that one is Norbert he's an idiot. they're all different,but they all share the same goal." A large T-Rex came in screen in front of the minions as the one in front yelled "Boss!" Pointing at their new master as it roared

Edith was amazed at this while Gru thought to himself "so that's why they were created"

Agnes admired the huge dinosaur on screen and smiled imagining it as a unicorn "so cool"

it cut to where a few of the minions were riding the T-Rex while others followed and purred as one of them gave their master a scratch on the head as it continued

"Making their master happy was the tribes very reason for existence...But that's not to say that they didn't have other passions."

Two minions at the back suddenly stopped seeing bananas "looka!ooh..banana" the other minion pushed the other put of the way and grabbed the banana "to banana!yum!yum!"

when a rumbling sound was heard The two looked to find the giant bolder rolling away

"Finding a boss was easy,but keeping a boss...therein lies the rub" the boulder slipped underneath the T-Rex making him roll away to a volcano but stopping at the very edge

everyone was shocked at this new information confused on how Gru was still alive right now

a few minions were knocked over but stopped by a rock all but one as he was stopped by the giant boulder the T-Rex was on

The boulder didn't move...at least not until the minion sat up bumping it's head against it as their boss fell in the lava below

The minions wept for their boss and left except for two

The minion who caused it was smacked on the back of the head by another

"Nope. It wasn't easy for these guys,but they never gave up. With the emergence of the stone age came the rise of a new species. Man was very different from the dinosaur he was shorter hairier and way,way minions took an instant liking to man and helped him the best they could"

The caveman stole a rock from the monkey chewing on it punching the animal when it started screaming angrily

Then the poor man was well...

"Poor man,so trusting,so fragile,so,so,delicious!their quest for a boss put the minions front and center for some of civilization's most historic moments" the screen faded to the desert "Acient Egypt held great promise"

A African man spoke a speech "anubus!" And whipped at the crowd signalling the minions as one of them nodded to the others at the top next to a pyramid as one swinged a bottle at it like a ship making it land ok the people right below it

The other turned the blueprint around after figuring it was upside down and was smacked on the head

"But it didnt last long"

Gru coughed a little he knew nothing would happen by the minions to him because they never accidentally hurt him

the scenes cut from one boss to their next never finding the right one until their sanctuary and depression

Gru wanted to go help them,cheer them up,but couldn't cause it was the past and settled down when Lucy placed a hand on his shoulder

"Thanks Lucy"

the screen showed Kevin gathering Bob and Stuart to find a new boss and set out on their adventure
