A deadly Spartan sent on a mission that might be his last

An ODST fireteam is sent in response to a distress signal made by a UNSC research base. At first, there's little else besides dust and echoes, and hints of a battle long since fought- and lost. But what begins as a routine asset denial op quickly spirals into a desperate struggle for survival.

Six months after the fall of Earth, Blue Team is deployed to the planet Ballast - the birthplace of Frederic-104 - to retrieve a new innovation that could alter the course of the Created Conflict. [TENTH INSTALLMENT] This is where it all comes to a close. [NINTH INSTALLMENT] Not everyone survived the battle. The Imps and Marines who did are extracted via Pelican, while the Demon, the Arbiter, and the Red Twin all continue forth with a small handful of reinforcements to infiltrate Installation 00. They are greeted by hostile Covenant forces all under the command of the last remaining Brute Chieftains.

[EIGHTH INSTALLMENT] Having located the wall and cleared a landing zone for Miranda's frigate, Mar, Falzud, the Arbiter, the Demon, and the surviving Imps and Marines are blessed by the UNSC with armor and reinforcements, enabling them to push through the wall and clear out the Covenant garrisons. Meanwhile, Mar's dissipating inner conflict takes a turn for the worst.

After one hundred thousand years, Mendicant Bias recounts its betrayal and defeat, and seeks atonement.

[SEVENTH INSTALLMENT] Mar and the rest of the UNSC/Separatist striketeam move throughout the canyon valley neutralizing Truth's forces and clearing a landing zone for the frigate Forward Unto Dawn.
