Walking through the woods was no easy feat in high heels but Tiffany was too dedicated to this mission now to turn back and change out her shoes. Besides, she hadn't actually brought anything to handle walking out in the forest. The idea had been a romantic getaway and in that regard Tiff had anticipated spending more time on her back than on her feet. Stepping over branches and skipping around brush Tiffany found a large old stump that looked dry enough for firewood. Lightning flashed in the sky behind her as she raised the ax up to bring it down on the stump. "This is going to hurt you a lot more than it's going to hurt me." Thunder cracked again as Tiffany brought the ax down on the stump. It made a loud twack noise, the wood cracking down the center a little. Tiff still holding the handle tried pulling it back out of the stump only to realize she might have sunk it down a little too well.
Tugging with all her strength she grunted, getting frustrated that the log wouldn't just let her ax go. Still holding the end of the hilt Tiff kicked the log and growled. "Come on, let it go, let it go." She shook the handle violently now before finally letting it go. Right about now it would have been nice to have Chucky around. How come he possessed a body and he got cool upgrades but she possessed one and all she got was this nice rack. Grabbing hold of the handle again Tiff started wiggling it, trying to loosen it up enough that she could pull it free from the stump. She was so distracted by her ax that she hadn't even noticed something moving across the ground. The leaves shifted in the path of something thick and long snaking it's way towards her. A dark wooden tendril moved up to Tiff's leg and began to coil up along her leg. Tiff paused, feeling the vine move up her ankle and reaching her knee. Looking down her hands came free from the ax. "What the..." As soon as she took noticed of the vine it tightened it's hold on her leg and lifted up pulling Tiff straight off her feet.
She let out a loud scream, throwing her arms out so she could catch herself on the way down. Landing on her stomach Tiffany pushed herself up, arching her back and trying to recover from being startled. As soon as she had some semblance of balance however the vine started pulling her along the ground making Tiff dig her nails into the dirt and let out another scream. Finally she rolled over onto her back and grabbed the vine wrapped around her thigh. Pulling on it she tried to remove it from her leg only to have another vine coil along the ground and reach up taking hold of her arm. It pulled off into the opposite direction holding her arm in the air while she continued to fight the grip of the vine with her free hand. The vine slowly started lifting Tiff off the ground, a third appearing and winding around her waist. Struggling against the vines Tiffany finally found her feet under her again while her other arm was grabbed by the vines.
Tiff let out another scream, her hands pulled over her head while the vine on her body ripped at her dress, shredding a shoulder strap with it's thorns and cutting into her skin. Struggling against the vines proved useless as they continued to crawl over her body in an attempt to prevent her from running or gaining the upper hand. With another vine coiling her way, sliding over the ground and aiming between her legs Tiff finally snapped. A girl could only take so much manhandling before she had to let her homicidal maniac out. Raising her free foot Tiff brought the sharp point of her heel down into the vine slithering up to her. Black sludge spilled out from the hole caused by the heel penetrating it's hard wooden surface and a loud shrill scream echoed from the shaking tendril. Finally she got her second wind, pulling one of her wrists closer to her face and biting down into the vine around her arm.
It coiled and screamed while Tiff chewed into the bark, spitting out chunks of wood and the black slick bile that bubbled up from it's wounds. With a good hard yank the rest of the vine snapped freeing her hand and letting her grab at the other one trying to restrain her wrist. Again Tiff gnawed into the wood, growling as black oil ran down the side of her face. In an attempt to protect itself the vines pulled away from her, letting Tiff drop to the ground without something holding her balance anymore. They hissed and cried flying over the ground and back under a few large groaning trees that started moving towards Tiff. Scrambling back to her feet Tiff grabbed the handle of the ax once more, her dark eyes darting between the three approaching trees. "I know I've said in the past I like a big hard hunk of wood but I think this is going a little too far." Tiff yanked on the ax one last time finally ripping it out of the log and holding it close to her body. The look on her face telling it all. Tiff was fed up with this shit and she was getting dangerous. "So, you wana play?"
She swung the ax around, hacking into one of the approaching tree and spraying it's black blood over her white tattered dress. She swung down on it again, knocking a chunk of wood off the tree and making it move back away from her with a cry. Another tree advanced before Tiff turned and swung the ax down into one of the roots it used to move itself across the forest floor. More black blood sprayed up, splashing through her hair and face. Tiff was laughing now, her manacle laughter of pure bliss cutting into something and listening to it's screams of pain. She raised the ax again, bringing it down swing after swing as she hacked off more of the trees roots and sending black blood spraying over the forest floor with her gleeful chuckle. Finally the tree fell over, groaning with pain while Tiffany continued to hack through it. Seeing the psychotic blonde unleash her fury the other two trees scurried off into the darkness wanting to avoid the fate of their fallen comrade.
Once the tree was no longer moving Tiff tossed the ax to the side and let out a deep breath, the sky finally opening up with one last crackle of lightning and unleashing a downpour. "Well, that's one way to get firewood."
Back at the cabin Ashton laid on the ground hearing rustling in the leaves outside beyond the open door. He knew if he didn't do something he was going to end up dead. With his hands still tied up behind his back he crawled along the ground, inching his way towards the fireplace where he saw the firepoker hanging from a hook. It felt like an eternity of crawling and rolling before Ash was able to sit himself up and use his shoulder to knock the poker onto the floor. Franticly he rubbed the ropes against the sharp point, the heat from the friction was uncomfortable but he could feel the ropes starting to fray and splinter. After a few minutes his arms got tired, his body wanting him to stop but his mind pushing through the pain. Finally a snap, his hand came free and ran to his head to undo his gag.
Ash threw the black gag to the ground and began working on his bindings, fumbling with the knots and glancing up at the door. He wouldn't have much time, she was coming back and when she did he needed to be gone. Throwing the last of the ropes off his body he grabbed the firepoker and scrambled to his feet. It was a straight shot out the door, right to the car. He could do this, he could get out of here, freedom was so close. Just as Ash went to run for his freedom thunder cracked in the sky and the rain instantly was set free. It destroyed his vision, just a torrent of water falling all around the cabin and making it impossible to see beyond the porch. Now he froze up, his knees locking as his head played the what ifs. What if she was already outside coming back, what if she was right there at the porch waiting for him to run? What if she was standing outside watching him? Ash felt his heart racing, his breathing becoming more audible. Another crack of lightning across the sky lit up the outside just long enough for him to see a figure wandering in from the distant. Her white dress sticking out against the dark forest. With the poker still in his hand he ran towards the hall and down to the back rooms.
His heart was pounding in his hand as he looked around the bedroom for a way to escape. Running to the window he tried to open it only to find it was nailed shut. "What the fuck." Ash cried and turned his attention to the bed. Heading towards it Ash got down on his hands and knees and crawled under it. He tried to quiet his breathing, putting the poker in front of him so he could defend himself if she came looking for him. Another crack of thunder boomed above the cabin, making it shake to it's core and causing Ash to curl in on himself with a quiet whimper.
Tiffany walked up the steps with her arms full of vines and torn up tree roots. It wasn't exactly the best firewood but nature had provided. She was soaking wet now and covered in black goo, it wasn't that Tiff wasn't used to being covered in gore, just not tree gore. Dropping the clumps of wood onto the cabin floor she kicked the door shut behind her and reached down at her dress ringing out some of the water. "Honey, I'm hoooome." Tiff smirked and looked at the ground near the fireplace. Her little smile fell seeing the bundle of ropes strewn about. "I can't believe this." Tiff growled and walked over to the fireplace, lifting the ropes up and finding where he had cut them. "That son of a bitch." She threw the ropes back to the floor. "I'm going to kill him."
