Hey readers, I'm just starting off, so please leave reviews and tell me how I'm doing. Please be honest! The chapters are going to be a bit short until I get the hang of things. Thanks!

America- POV

The sun filtered through the shaded windows of the king suite, as I realized there was no way I could sleep longer. I attempted to roll of the silk folding on the other side of the bed, but something was blocking me. I'm so stupid. Maxon was there. I was still getting used to sleeping next to him, but I couldn't bear not. Suddenly, I felt a hand around my waist pulling me deeper into the sheets. I turned around and looked at the deep chocolate eyes of my husband, and ran my fingers through his hair.

"Good Morning", I whispered.

"Good Morning, my dear".

"Fine I'll let you-", I was interrupted by maxon as he pulled me in for a soft kiss. We stared into each other's eyes for a little longer, lost in each other's gazes. I can't believe this. I won the selection. I had won Maxon's heart, without the intention of taking it a few months ago. Being queen really overwhelmed me, but everything was worth it, when at the end, I was happy. I thought about Marlee too, and how she was happy just like that.

"Ring, ring, ring", an annoying sound filled my ears as I realized what was happening.

Maxon- POV

I heard a nudge from the other side of the bed. Realizing it was America, I opened my eyes to flood of red hair rolled across the bed. I squinted because of the large amount of sunlight being projected on to my face. I was fully awake, and my beautiful wife was right next to me. She had been the first person I liked since the beginning of the selection, and the One that I ended up with.

"Good Morning", she whispered softly into my ear, careful not to startle me.

"Good Morning, my dear", I replied

"Fine I'll let you-". I realized where this was headed so I pulled her in for a kiss and we laid there staring into each other's eyes. She's so pretty. I was lucky to have found someone that I loved so much, it was hard to let go.
