Chapter 19

The sound of screaming and laughing children coming from the backyard, made a soft smile paint Tony's lips, a chuckle leaving him as he caressed his belly before continuing to fill the bowls of chips, before Harley coming to swoop the bowls away, giving Tony a soft glare when the Omega tried to carry them; thanks to Steve, Tony was benched from even carrying a tissue paper least it strained him and hurt the baby, the sentiment seemed to be mirrored by Harley and Peter who became overprotective of him just like Steve.

That was funny and sweet, but when Tony is seven months and wasn't allowed to do even the more boring work, it started to get annoying. Though, Tony doesn't blame his family for their overprotectiveness, especially, when Tony was a nerve wreck at the beginning of his pregnancy.

Today though, Tony was not going to be a spoilsport about his family watching him like a hawk, he is just going to smile and have fun and spoil both of his babies… especially with it being Peter's birthday, the pup has finally become eleven years old! Just thinking about his baby growing up caused both happiness and sadness to take hold of him. Happiness because his baby was growing up healthy, happy, and loved by his parents, siblings, and friends; sadness because his baby would end up leaving their home when he is all grown up.

"What are you thinking about, sweetheart?" Steve's voice snapped Tony out of his deep thoughts, causing him to blink and turn his face toward his husband, his smile turning from wistful to happy as his husband held him in his arms, running a hand over his belly.

"How our children grow up fast…" Tony mumbled, gaining a soft chuckle from Steve as the Alpha kissed his forehead, causing a purr to leave Tony's throat as he snuggle into his husband's chest, his muscles relaxed at the scent of his mate being close by.

"Ah, yes…" Steve murmured, a soft smile on his lips before he kissed Tony's temple, causing the Omega to hum. "Even grown-up, they are still our babies, aren't they?" Steve stated causing Tony to chuckle at that, knowing fully well, that if Peter or even Harley heard about being called babies, they would pout till the end of the time.

"Don't let them hear you say that Cap, you know what happened last time when Peter caught you cooing about him being your 'Spidey-Baby'… I never saw him turn that shade of red before." Tony chuckled as he remembered how embarrassed Peter was when Steve caught him by surprise in the clinic, cooing and pinching his cheeks, and calling him baby, all because Darcy dared Steve to do it.

"Oh, you don't say, Mr. 'Leave My Harley-Baby Alone Or I Will Kick You In The Nuts'" Steve said back, causing Tony to hide his face in Steve's neck as he held his laughs, remembering the day one of SI's guards nearly pulled Harley and throw him out of the building just because the pup wandered away from Tony's side… needless to say the man quit the next day and start working on the docks after Tony was done with him.

Before Tony can think of a better quip to fire back, the doorbell rang, causing both Steve and Tony to break their embrace and look at each other with confusion wondering who was knocking when their friends don't usually knock as much as a barge in. "You think it's one of Peter's friends from school?" Tony asked, trying to remember if they forgot about someone from Peter's school, Ned, MJ, and Harry, were in the backyard with a few of their classmates that Peter enjoys their company.

"I don't know… maybe?" Steve was unsure as he answered Tony's question, letting go of Tony before heading to open the door, with Tony behind, no doubt the two of them were trying to remember if they forgot something or someone. "Who is… what the hell are you doing here?" Steve's harsh tone caused Tony to still for a second before shuffling behind Steve to see the person who dared to gain such a reaction out of his husband.

The sight of Peggy Carter standing on the other side of the door caused Tony to inhale harshly; his left hand automatically going to his belly as he remembered the encounter months ago; in the back of his mind, Tony couldn't help but wonder why it took Carter three months before she returned to their house.

Carter to her credit only scrunched her nose at the aggressive scent that Steve was letting out, an action that did nothing but gains a frown from Tony. "Well, that's harsh, darling, especially when I came to give out son his birthday present," Carter stated showing Steve the present in her hands, which only managed to cause the Alpha's scowl to darken.

"A present? Are you serious? Six years with no word on your side other than threats and you dare to come into my home after nearly attacking my husband with a present?" Steve sneered, his hands clenching into fists, causing Tony to put his hand on the Alpha's shoulder, hoping to ground him and calm him down; the action didn't go unnoticed by Carter, for the woman scowled harshly when she saw Tony, only for her to still in her place when she finally caught the sight of his belly.

"Husband?" Carter hissed, turning his harsh gaze from Tony to Steve, and Tony could only gulp when he saw her squeezing the present box so tightly that the wrapping papers nearly ripped from the pressure. "I left for a short while and you already start cheating on me with some floozy and getting him pregnant!" Carter screamed, nearly throwing the present box at Tony if it wasn't for Steve standing in front of him protectively, and catching the box.

"Watch your mouth!" Snarled Steve loudly, causing the woman to shut up and for Tony to flinch, especially at the anger he felt dripping out of his husband's words. "This is my husband you are talking about, and if you dared to bad-mouth him again, you would see something you won't like…" Steve growled, the warning clear in his tune, causing Carter to frown but bite the inside of her cheek last she said something rash. "You are not my wife, Carter, you stopped being my wife when you tried to hurt our son; I have no obligation to you, the same could be said for our son. You have no right being here, especially without your sister as an escort, or did you forget about the court's orders?" Steve stated, his words causing the woman to huff and turn her head to the side seemingly lost in thoughts.

"I don't need my sister following me to go anywhere, I am a grown-up woman," Carter stated, turning her face toward Steve, a harsh look stilling over her face as she send an icy glare to Tony. "I want to meet our son if you don't mind," Carter stated after a while, ignoring the way that Steve continued to glare at her as if ordering her to leave; Tony for his part, wanted to escape this stressful situation, but he doesn't want to leave Steve alone to deal with Carter who was mentally unstable at the best of times, so he sucked it up and waited for what his husband was going to do.

"…I do in fact mind, so No, Miss Carter, you are not allowed to meet our son," Steve said after a while of heavy silence, his words causing Carter to inhale sharply and look at the man with anger coloring her face. "You know that the only way I would allow you to meet my son, is after you are cleared by several psychiatrists and doctors, not to forget the news should arrive through your sister as she confirm herself that you are stable enough to meet Peter; after that, and only after that, I can grant you one visit and that is after Peter, himself, agree to it." Steve reminded the woman causing her to growl under her breath, but a sharp look from Steve silence her.

"You have no right to keep my son away from me," Carter whispered after five minutes or so, her words causing Tony to shift uncomfortably and look away from the woman; words like these always hurt him, especially when he remembered whispering them in the dead of the night to whoever was listening to him as he plea. But Tony knew Carter, he knew from the many stories he gathered from his friends and Steve that the woman was not stable enough to be in the same room as Peter; knew that anger would get hold of her and that she may hurt his son. Peter finally managed to overcome his trauma of interacting with Omegas and start teaching Harley how to do it, Tony was not going to ruin his baby's process by forcing him to interact with his mother who nearly killed him when he was four.

"I have every right… it was that or jail, remember." Steve's final word seemed to be the last straw because Carter growled darkly, turning to Tony with murderous eyes as if she was blaming him for what was happening to her, Tony could only stand straight, his head held high as he dared the woman to do something to him where everyone is waiting for them.

"You will regret this…" Carter hissed, causing Tony to stiffen in his place, but the gentle hand Steve put on his back, relaxed him, letting out a tired sigh, Tony watched Peggy leave the house, stomping her way toward the taxi that was waiting for her no doubt…

Tony had a bad feeling about this…

"… and then Ned nearly throw up in the bushes!" Peter babbled gaining a nod from Tony who was covering containers of food and putting them in the fridge as the excited birthday boy continued to talk about his say. "...Harley was so angry, Mama, he kept saying that he was waiting until the clock ticks twelve before he pulls my ear off for throwing the pie at his face." That gained a wince from Tony as he still remembered how Harley had screamed bloody murder as his face was cover in wiped cream from the pie.

"And I will! You just wait!" Harley called out, walking inside the kitchen and toweling his hair, having finally finished his shower, and getting rid of all the cream that covered his face, hair, and body. "I already told Steve, and he said you are so grounded for three weeks!" Harley huffed, glaring at Peter who squeaked from his seat near the dining table and turned his wide eyes at Tony, pleading with him to save him.

"Sorry, kiddo, Harley is right this time," Tony said, his smile widens when he saw his son pout harshly, looking at Harley with pleading eyes as he hoped that the older boy would have mercy on him because it was Peter's birthday today.

"What do you mean I have to come to the office, Fury? It's eight PM, on my day off!" Steve's voice filtered to the living room, causing the three to turn their heads to the hallway to see Steve talking with Fury on the phone, the Alpha's annoyed and agitated voice, made Tony concern about his husband, especially, when the Alpha was left in that state since Peggy Carter left their house earlier that morning. "Of course I am going to take the next four days off, we agreed on that Fury!" Steve's raising voice caused Tony to sigh, knowing that his mate was far too agitate and angry by the tone he was using on Fury.

"OK, kiddos, what do you think about ice cream? But only today, don't make it a habit." Tony said as he went to the fridge to get the ice cream, wanting the boys to ignore Steve's fight with Fury about his leave from work. Part of Tony couldn't help but roll his eyes, because everyone damn knew that Steve can work from home easily but Fury still like to torture and milk him all the way through before he give to Steve's demand of taking his leave.

"Why is Papa angry?" Peter asked as he took his small cup of ice cream from Tony's hand, purring happily when he took the first bite of his chocolate ice cream, the sudden question caused Tony to pause, pursing his lips before he sighed.

"Is it because of the woman who came today?" Harley suddenly asked around a mouthful of mint ice cream, causing Tony to stop for a second and turn his head around to gaze at Harley, the boy was frowning harshly as he glared at his ice cream darkly.

"What woman?" Peter asked curiously his eyes going from Harley to Tony, probably trying to connect if the woman who came today was the same one who came months ago and caused Tony to go to the hospital.

"No one, she is no one," Tony said, coming near Harley and run his hand through the boy's hair, smiling softly when the boy looked up. "You don't have to worry about that woman anymore, sweetie, Steve and I are going to handle everything and she won't come to our home ever again," Tony reassured the boy, getting a hum from Harley who finally relaxed and took another bite of his ice cream. "The same is said to you, Pete," Peter to his credit only nodded his head and finish his ice cream, then turning his attention to Harley as he tried to steal his brother's ice cream and failing. "Steve, are you leaving?" Tony asked when he saw a grumpy Steve enter the kitchen a frown on his face as he looked at the phone in his hand.

"I am sorry, sweetheart." Steve sighed as he came and held Tony tightly, scenting the Omega and causing him to purr. "But Fury is hounding to come tonight and finish the next chapter of Iron Man, he promised me the week off if I finish it tonight, so I might be late." Steve huffed, which gained an amused smile from Tony who accepted the fact that his husband no doubt agreed to finish the chapter of the comic tonight for the promise of a week off; a week he needed after Peggy throw a dark threat to both of them.

"It's OK, baby, the kids and I would be fine," Tony reassures his husband, kissing him on the lips softly before the Alpha relaxed and let out a sigh. "Besides, Ma is right next door, we can go there if something happened." That seemed to cause the last of the tension in Steve's body to leave him as he kissed the kids' foreheads before heading to the door, giving his husband one last kiss on the lips before leaving…

Tony couldn't help but shift uncomfortably as he saw his husband drive away…

.

.

Something woke him up…

Tony laid in bed as he gazed at the ceiling, a dark frown on his face as he tried to make sense of why he was suddenly awake at (Gazing at the clock on the nightstand Tony frowned harshly at the green digits) 3 A.M. Part of Tony was confused; wondering why was he awake at this time of the night without any reason… maybe he needed to pee? Or maybe Steve was finally back home after a grueling night in the office… or maybe… the uneasiness caused Tony to swallow and sit on the bed.

"J… is Steve home?" Tony whispered, not knowing why he was whispering but knowing deep down that it was unwise to make any sound. When no answer came from the A.I. after a whole minute, Tony knew that something was deeply wrong and he stood up fast from the bed, his breaths coming in fast puffs as he tried to calm himself, walking slowly out of the room, looking through the hallway before rushing toward his sons' room; praying that if someone was in, they haven't reached his babies.

Reaching the stairs, Tony froze in his place when he glimpses someone walking near the stairs, brawling the first floor before they no doubt reach the second floor; now with panic followed by adrenaline, Tony rushed toward his babies his breath hitching as he tried to stay calm and not tip whoever was inside that he was aware of them being here.

"Harley, wake up, baby!" Tony shook Harley after entering the room and locking the door behind, being thankful that Peter and Harley decided on a sleepover in Harley's room tonight of all nights; the sleepy mumble of his name caused Tony to sigh shakily, as he saw Peter finally waking up after Harley shook him. "Stay quiet and follow me…" Tony whispered, causing both the boys to be alerted, sleepiness leaving their eyes as they finally noticed how scared Tony seemed to be.

"Mama, what's going on?" Peter asked shakily, following Tony when the Omega finally opened the bedroom's window and stick his head out to look around before nodding his head when he saw the street empty and start walking around the room, collecting the bed's sheets before trying them into strong knots creating a long rope.

Nothing… Tony wanted to say, reassuring his kids as he held them tightly in his arms and telling them that everything is OK; Tony, though, he was not going to lie to his babies, not when their lives were in danger, his babies were smart and Tony had to trust them. "There is no time to explain, baby; listen, I want the two of you to climb down and run toward Grandma Sarah's house as fast as you can, if you don't find her then run to Grandma Winnie. Never stop, never look back, and don't make any sound." Tony instructs his kids as he tied the rope into Harley's bed before throwing it outside the window, sighing in relief when the rope reached down.

"What about you?" Harley's voice cracked as he whispered these words, the three of them flinching when they heard something breaking down the hallway, causing Tony's heart to drop as he rushed to pull Peter and Harley toward the window.

"Please, just go and do what I said, I would be fine." Tony plea with his kids, ordering them to climb down before the person who trespasses on their house found they were aware of their presence. After a harsh stare down between Harley and Tony, the older boy finally nods his head with trembling lips and shiny eyes, leading a soft crying Peter toward the rope before urging the boy to climb after him.

It was only when Tony saw his children putting their feet on the ground; he started pulling the rope before hiding it under the bed, rushing toward the walk-in closet, trying to control his heart at the harsh footsteps that thud on the wooden floor. Whoever was outside, they wanted their presence to be known, which made Tony swallow and hide behind some toy boxes and clothes, controlling his breath as he continued to hear the stumping outside before everything became quiet.

The quiet was more unnerving than the stumping and breaking glass Tony heard, causing his heart to pound in his chest at the thought that the intruder discovered Tony's plan and now is after his baby. "I know you are here!" The furious voice of Peggy Carter caused Tony to inhale sharply, any new plan he was about to make was forgotten at the sound of the woman's voice. "I gave you enough time to come to the kids' room to wake them up." Carter continued, unaware of Tony being frozen in his hidden place, shock and horror of what could have happened to Peter and Harley had the woman found his babies made nausea nearly overcome him. "…I will let you and your son, leave Mr. Stark, I promise you that, just hand me Peter and everything is going to be alright." That snapped Tony out of his daze and he gazed at the closet door like it was the answer to this unsavory situation, his hand going to his belly caressing it as he tried to calm himself.

The silence was the only thing that hung between Carter and Tony, mainly because Tony refused to talk with the woman, hiding in the closet as he waited for the action of the crazy woman outside. This Peggy Carter… the woman left the realm of unstable and entered the realm of crazy; she was crazy… crazy for denying that Steve has moved on and got married, crazy for believing that he would want to see her when she continued to act unstable and assertive, crazy for breaking into someone's home and trying to steal their child; how did the doctors treating her missed her psychopath side?

"No answer? Is that it? Are you going to pretend that you are not here, Mr. Stark? Well then, that suits me just fine…" Carter stated and Tony had to hold into his screams when he heard a few gunshots from the other side of the door. The gunshot wasn't that loud to warrant someone outside the house to come and investigate the noise, especially not with a suppressor, but to Tony, they were so loud that part of him wondered how his heart continued to beat without it failing him.

Shaking in his place was the only thing that Tony could do as he heard the thud of the door as Carter managed to break it down and enter the room. Tony couldn't help but swallow as he pushed his back to the wall, trying to make himself look smaller as he tried to hide, not making any sound and hoping that Carter would overlook him and leave his house… where was Steve? Was he still in his office like he said when he called him last night or did Carter got him too?

"Don't make this harder on you than it already is, Mr. Stark…" Tony shook, one of his hands was on his mouth, hoping to dampen his loud breathing, and the other was clutching his belly tightly, causing him to panic the longer he stayed in the closet… if only Tony managed to climb down the window with Peter and Harley, but he knew that the rope may not handle his weight without ripping, and not only that, if Tony fell and hurt himself then his baby would get hurt. "Think about the baby you carry, do you want to stress yourself to labor?" Carter asked and Tony couldn't help but flinch when he heard the sound of something breaking. "So many annoying pictures…" Peggy hissed and Tony swallowed as he realized that Carter no doubt broke the picture frame that houses the family photo the Rogers family took last month when they went to the zoo. "It makes me so angry, Mr. Stark… you make me so angry by daring to steal my husband and son from me… who do you think you are?" Carter asked, and Tony swallowed when he noticed that the woman's voice was close, as if she was standing outside the closet and talking to Tony.

Tony couldn't help but choke on a hysterical laugh that wanted to leave him as he realized how severe the situation was… was this why Clint came with a gun and shooed Carter away? A gun… a gun, Tony doesn't have because he doesn't believe in violence and doesn't want his kids to get familiar with the lives-stealing weapons… if only Tony had a gun now, at least he wouldn't be shaking in the corner of the closet like a helpless child hiding from the monsters under his bed. Hell! If only J.A.R.V.I.S. was on, then the police would have arrived and arrest Carter a long time ago.

"He is my husband… step away from the closet, Carter, now!" Steve's low and dangerous voice growled, and Tony couldn't help the sob that left him as his tight muscles finally uncoiled enough for him to take a breath, feeling like centuries has passed with him drowning before finally taking a breath of the sweet, sweet oxygen. "Hand me the gun…" Steve used his Alpha voice on that order, and even Tony had to flinch when he felt the need to obey the order, but Tony can't fault his husband for restoring to this measure, not when Carter lost it and broke into their home uninvited to steal Peter and hurt him.

"You are making a mistake, Steven…" Carter stated in a too calm voice, that caused Tony to swallow several times as he tried to calm his breath, trying to stop the terror taking hold of his heart that his husband was finally back home.

"No, Carter, you were the one who made the mistake; I warned you to never get near my husband and children or there would be consequences." Steve's voice got closer to the closet, and Tony couldn't help the flinch when a gentle knock on the closet's door was heard. "Sweetheart, you can come out now, everything is under control." Steve's gentle voice caused Tony to shake before he crawl toward the closet and opened the door, his legs not supporting him from how shaky he was.

"Steve…" Tony's voice cracked when his eyes fell on his husband, his lips trembling when his husband lowered himself and helped Tony stand up on his shaky legs. The sight of Natasha and Clint restraining Carter made the last of his tension leave him, and he couldn't help but let Steve take his weight as he clutched the Alpha tightly. "Is Harley and Peter, OK?" Tony asked, wanting to know what happened to his kids, hoping that the two of them were in Sarah's house and haven't hurt themselves.

"They are fine, sweetheart, they are with Ma and Winnie." That got a sigh of relief from Tony as he thrust his face in his husband's neck, trying to calm his fried nerves further; Steve continued to whisper reassurance, complements, and 'Sorry' as he held Tony tightly, causing Tony to nod his head, not making any sound as he tried to regain his bearers.

"…The security system would be back… caught the other person… I don't know who he is…" Whispers continued to take over the room, and Tony recognized Bucky's voice among the people talking, Tony, though, didn't give it any second thought, being grateful to hold Steve tightly and take comfort in the Alpha's warmth as he let Steve handle everything…

Tony welcomed the darkness that took over him…

It took a month before Tony was able to stomach going back to his home…

A month of living in the Stark tower's penthouse with his father and family before Tony stopped flinching at the sight of different shadows, a month before his kids stopped jumping at every noise and rush to sneak into Steve and Tony's bed in the middle of the night; a month before Steve managing to stop growling at anyone coming near Tony or the kids in fear of them being the enemy. A month of Tony dreaming about Peggy Carter opening the closet door and shooting him, and Steve being late to save him and their baby; a nightmare that cause Tony to hold his screams every night as he tried to overcome the terror he felt.

A month… such a long time but so short at the same time…

The reason Tony finally gathering the courage to return to his home was the fact that Peggy Carter was thrown into an asylum for being mentally unstable and insane. After the woman was locked behind the bars, Tony gained the courage to return to his beloved home and see how his place fared in the loving hands of his friends and family.

Thankfully, the house didn't hold any signs of the break and enter that dominated Tony's thought, for the past month, which was the only reason why he didn't run out of the house as soon as he can. "Are you sure, sweetheart? You know we can stay in Manhattan until you are feeling better." Steve asked him when they reached their home, the kids nodding their heads and gazing at the house with mistrust as if another monster was waiting for them inside.

"Steve… this is our home, I won't allow our life to be ripped apart as we leave our family and friends because of the action of a crazy woman… I won't allow her to win…" Tony said as he left the car, smiling at the kids as the two of them rushed to Tony's side and refusing to let him go, even as he entered the house with Steve walking behind them as if guarding their backs.

It took time before the four of them finally got comfortable in their own home without the shadows of Peggy Carter dominating their minds. Tony making sure not only to redecorate the house from top to bottom, replacing the broken picture frames, the china, and even the furniture; but also updating their security and J.A.R.V.I.S. giving the A.I. and the house another power source to function on, a power source that no can temper with, no matter how smart they think they are… the Arc-Reactor.

"Whose room is this?" Harley asked one day when Tony entered the room that was once forbidden, his question, gaining a smile from Tony who started tidying the room a little, opening the closet and smiling when he saw the boxes of clothes and toy's he kept locked in the closet for years and years on end… Tony thinks it was finally the time for them to be put to use.

"Your little sister, I am sure Peter and you would be grateful that she has a room of her own very soon," Tony stated, laughing when Harley scrunched his nose in confusion before skipping to go and check on the big giraffe and lambs plush with interest painting his eyes.

"You are here! Why did you come here without telling me? I am going to tell Papa, so mean!" That was Peter who skipped into the room, running toward the giraffe and hugging it tightly, ignoring Harley as the teen trying to pull the boy away from the tony least he broke the toy or something.

The days after that trickled, uneasy at first, before the fear finally disappeared, leaving the family back to their normal lives, enjoying what's left of summer before welcoming autumn. And with autumn, came the fifth member of the Rogers family… a beautiful girl with dark brown hair and breath-taking blue eyes… a perfect mix between Steve and Tony.

"She is beautiful…" Tony whispered, his finger gently caressing his daughter's cheek, causing the baby to scrunch her face before snuggling into Tony's chest, causing the Omega to let out a happy laugh, enchanted by his baby's action and a falling more in love. His husband seemed to have the same thought, for he didn't leave Tony's side, sitting on the hospital bed beside Tony as he held the Omega and the baby tightly, not letting go as he gazed at the baby with awe in his eyes.

"Yeah, she is… she is going to be a heartbreaker… and a troublemaker just like her brothers," Steve said after pausing a little, which did nothing but gain a happy chuckle from Tony, for he already knew what his husband meant by that… they are already outnumbered with both Peter and Harley, add a little girl to the mix would be a nightmare, especially when she would probably charm anyone into believing her innocent… it would be a nightmare… a beautiful nightmare that Tony want and long for.

"Should we bring the boys to meet their sister?" Tony asked, looking up at his husband who smiled happily and stood up, leaving to call their family but not before kissing both Tony and their girl on the forehead. Tony smiled as his eyes trailed back to his baby, his heart growing warm as he nuzzled her… she was worth the thirteen hours of labor and pain…

"Mama!" Both Peter and Harley cried as they entered his room, rushing toward Tony and climbing on the bed beside him, holding him tightly as they finally turned their attention to the baby, after making sure Tony was OK. Peter to his credit was the first to touch his sister by raising his finger to poke his sister on the cheek, which caused his sister to hold his finger and refuse to let go even when Peter tried to pull his finger away.

Tony could only chuckle at the cute sight, a happy but tired smile taking over his face as he snuggle into the pillow behind him, and purring when his babies, nuzzled and scent him. "Her name is Morgan…" Tony said loudly when he spotted his family entering the room, smiling amusingly at how disheveled Howard look as he followed after Sarah, looking like he spent the past thirteen hours with Tony through the labor instead of Peter and Harley.

"She is adorable!" Sarah said as she came to stand beside Tony, her smile is wide as she gazed at her granddaughter with happiness shining clearly in her eyes. A chuckle left Tony's lips as he saw the older woman coo at Morgan, purring happily when the baby took Sarah's finger in her tiny fist after letting go of Peter who was looking at his finger like it held all the secret of the universe.

"She… she looks like you…" Howard mumbled as he stood beside Harley, gazing at the baby with lost eyes like he doesn't know what do to; a soft smile took over Tony's face and he had to let out a laugh, the sight his father was making was as beautiful as heartbreaking as it was.

"You wanna hold her?" Tony asked, causing Howard to look like a deer in a headlight before Steve and Tony managed to calm him down enough to put the baby in his arms; leaving Howard stunned as he gazed at the baby with lost but happy eyes.

"I… I brought you something…" Howard said after passing Morgan to Sarah who tried to show Harley and Peter how to hold the baby. "I… I don't even know how to say it because it was so bizarre that I couldn't believe it myself…" Howard said, taking an envelope from his suit jacket and giving it to Tony, who held the envelope and turned it around a few times. "It's about Harley…" Howard continued in a whisper, so the boy in question wouldn't hear them.

"Dad…" Tony whispered, pressing his lips tightly before smiling softly and shaking his head. "We know…" Tony laughed, smiling at the shocked look crossing over his father's face, the 'How?' was clear in his expression that Tony couldn't help but shake his head as he gave his father the envelope back. "May woke up two weeks ago… and she told us her story or what she remembered of it. We just connected the dots from there." Tony explained, causing the tension in Howard's shoulders to leave and for the man to smile happily, giving Tony a joyful but sad smile.

"Mama, look, I am holding her!" Harley called, causing Tony to turn his attention to his baby, a smile taking over his face as he cooed and purred, opening his arms for Harley and Peter when they rushed to him and he held his kids tightly in his arms as he kissed their heads. Yes, Tony doesn't need his father to tell him… he knew… all thanks to Steve who gave him the strength to face the demons that dominated his life for years now. Tony was really happy that he met Steve and Peter in the park that day, if he didn't he wouldn't have this amazing life; looking at his children Tony purred and nuzzled them…

Yes, his life was amazing…
