"Augh, we wanted to do the test of courage too!" I cried, crying.
"You said this was the carrot and stick approach!" Eiji reminded Sensei. "Where's our carrot?"
"At this point, I'd even take salty licorice!" moaned Kaminari.
"Salty Licorice is delicious," Sensei replied. We had arrived at the lodge and followed Sensei, totally despairing. "For this supplementary lesson, I'll be beating into you how to conduct yourselves during a crisis. Getting in the way of everyone around you by being unaware of how you or your actions affect them will only continue to widen the gap between you and the others. That advice may sound sweet, but should sting and leave a bad taste behind. There's your candy."
We were in our classroom, and waiting for us was, unfortunately…
"OHH?! HOW STRANGE! THE SUPPOSEDLY SUPERIOR CLASS A HAS FIVE FAILING STUDENTS?! AND YET CLASS BE HAS ONLY ONE? THAT'S REALLY STRANGE, DON'T YOU THINK?! I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW THAT MUST MAKE YOU FEEL!"
Good old annoying Monoma, the Class B boy who hated us.
"He was trying to start shit with us all yesterday, too," grumbled Eiji.
"I'd really like to know what goes through that guy's head!" I wondered allowed.
"Vlad, I want them to do some actual practice exercises today," Sensei told Class B's teacher.
"I'm one step ahead of you. I was already planning on it -"
EVERYONE!
"This is Mandalay's quirk!" realized Eiji.
"Ooh, I love when she does this!" I cried. "It tingles!"
"But it's not like we can communicate back with her," said Kaminari regretfully. "So it's kinda frustrating sometimes."
"Silence!" snapped Sensei, touching his forehead as if fine tuning a radio dial.
Two villains have invaded the area! It's possible there are still more lurking in the shadows! Those who are capable, head immediately to the facility. If you should come face to face with the enemy, do not engage them in combat! Continue your retreat!
"Wha? Why are there villains here?!" wondered Monoma.
"Vlad, keep an eye on things here for me," Sensei told him. "I've got to go protect the students that are still out there.
The next five minutes are a bit of a blur. We seemed to be doing nothing but freaking out, until Manadalay's voice came into our heads again:
Members of Class A and B, I hereby authorize you all for combat!
And then, We've identified one of the villains' objectives! The student named 'Kacchan!'
"Bakugou?" cried Eiji.
"Who's that?" asked Monoma.
Uh oh, I thought. They're trying to hurt Bakugou?
Whoever Kacchan is, as much as possible, avoid combat! Refrain from solo movements! Got that Kacchan?
I bet Bakugou loved hearing that.
