Kirishima's Side:
We crept in closer to the building - big faded warehouse, surrounded by weeds, a dirty stone wall, a few shrubs. The lights were all out, and the windows shut up.
"There aren't any lights on," I muttered. "Doesn't seem like anyone's inside."
Todoroki turned to me. "Best place to hide a tree is in a forest. A warehouse could make for a good cover."
"There are weeds everywhere around the front door," mumbled Midoriya. "Maybe there's another entrance somewhere? Some way or other we've got to confirm what's going on inside…"
"Hey, you!" shouted unfamiliar voices and we all jumped, and turned. Two drunks in business suits stood there leering at Yaoyorozu, one reaching out a hand at her as if he wanted to grab her.
"Hostess! what are you up to, hostess? Come get a drink with us!" he drooled.
The other smacked his head. "Cut it out, idiot!"
Midoriya and Iida, standing between them and Yaoyorozu like sentinels, started babbling their cover identities. "We're just cruising!"
"All right!"
Todoroki however quickly stomped away, muttering, "Let's get out of here."
We followed him to a nearby vending machine, out of the way of the weirdoes on the street. Now that I looked around, there were still plenty of people hanging around us - drunks out like the ones who'd spotted us, random strangers, possible gangsters…
The five of us stuck close together.
"It's not a lot, but there are still people walking around here.
"We can't do anything that will draw attention. What should we do?"
"Let's go around back. We might have to squeeze a bit, but we're not going to get any information here."
We followed that initiative, and crept around the warehouse, still looking for signs of villains. Nothing yet. We made it to the back, and slipped in between the stone wall and another building, cramped so tight in there was barely space to breathe.
Behind me, Yaoyorozu murmured, "It's so cramped. I'm going to get stuck."
That was kinda embarrassing…anyway…
"We can't make any moves unless w'ere confident it's safe," Midoriya was saying. "At least here no one can see us." He looked up and pointed at a window.
"From that height, we should be able to see what's inside."
Todoroki cocked his head a little. "Will you be able to see when it's this dark?"
Yaoyorozu took her sunglasses off. "If that's the case, I can make some night visio-"
"Wait!" I stopped her. "I actually brought something like that, Yaoyorozu."
"What?" cried Midoriya. "That's amazing. Why?"
"You can get anything online these days," I told him. I'd ordered em the day before. "I only bought one, but when I was thinking about how I could help, I figured we might need it."
Midoriya started babbling again. "Isn't that one crazy expensive? Back when I ws thinking about my costume, I saw online that one of those costs like 50,000 yen…"
"Never mind the price, OK?" I told him. Kinda embarrassed. I mean, it's not like I'm really rich or anything, but sometimes I get reminded that kids in class like Midoriya and Uraraka aren't all that well off…
Anyway, Todoroki told us "Midoriya and Kirishima, you guys look. Iida and I will lift you up."
"So narrow," said Yaoyorozu.
We did what Todoroki said, me on Iida's shoulders, Midoriya on Todoroki's.
"Don't lean forward too much, all right?" Iida told me. "We need to be able to run away quickly in case things look dangerous."
"Iida, can you get a little lower?" I begged him, as my line of vision was over the window.
"Tell us what's going on inside, Kirishima!" said Iida, as I tried hard to balance on his shoulders and the wall. I lifted the device up and took a peek inside the window.
It was a dark, dingy warehouse, full of the usual stuff you'd expect to see. Crates, sandbags, cares, a forklift, some tanks in the corner.
"Hm, it's pretty dirty inside, but I don't see anything especially - "
And that's when I noticed them. Inside the tanks. And tried not to scream.
I stumbled backwards and Midoriya called, "Kirishima!"
"What is it, what did you see?" asked Todoroki.
"inside, to the left…" I muttered. I didn't want to be the one to tell them. I just handed the night vision scope to Midoriya. "Look, Midoriya."
He looked in as I turned away, and heard him confirm what I had seen.
"Nomu…"
Tanks and tanks full of them.
Ashido's Side
Jirou's parents were still talking, though quietly, about what the broadcast had shown. Jirou had started flipping through the news stations, trying to get a feed on anything new. The nurse didn't want her upset but she wasn't having it.
"Mina, what do you think they're doing? You know, to take care of things?" Hagakure was asking me. I tried to grin a bit. "They're working with pro heroes, Tooru! I'm sure they've got some idea in mind."
I looked up at Jirou and Kaminari. Right…and we've got something in mind too…
"Still, they could at least try to reassure people," said Jirou's dad, looking annoyed. "At least give people some hope - "
"WAIT!" Kaminari shouted, making us all jump. "Go back!"
Jirou flipped backwards through the TV station. And we saw from a helicopter eye view of a downtown city area, a camera recording what looked like -
"All Might, Endeavor, Kamui Woods, and Edgeshot!" cried Kaminari, pointing at the screen.
"And tons of cops," added Jirou. "All at a warehouse? Something big's going on."
"I knew it!" i jumped and fist pumped. "They've found Bakugou, they got him!"
And as I spoke, All Might leaped from the ground into a nearby building, punching straight through the wall. The camera was far away, but we could see that he'd barreled into a bar, filled with a bunch of weirdoes, the warping guy from the USJ - and -
"Bakugou!" All four of us cried out together. Even from a distance, we recognized that hair.
And Kamui woods was jumping up to the hole in the wall to restrain all the villains - And another Pro had knocked out the fire guy from camp - And Edgeshot had knocked out the warp guy!
All Might we could see putting his hand on Bakugou's shoulder and squaring off with the guy who seemed like the leader - a creepy dude with what looked like a severed hand over his face -
"Yeah, that's him. Their leader, Tomura Shigaraki."
"Yeesh, he's creepy."
Kirishima's Side
From nearby, we heard what sounded like a car getting stomped on. Well, that sounds funny, but that's exactly what it was. Mt. Lady had stepped into a truck like a shoe and brought it down on the warehouse. It was her - and other pros -and the blast of wind knocked us over.
Ashido's Side
All seven of us were grinning then. The Pros had saved the day, just like always. The camera reports were saying another place had been locked down, and the danger seemed neutralized. And I felt so relieved that you - that all of you - wouldn't have to fight. That everything had worked out.
I really thought right then that the whole ordeal was over and the villains were defeated.
