Hiccup's P.O.V

I wanted to kill who ever this person was for ruining my moment with Astrid. I walked over to the computer and checked the security camera footages and found Pepper waiting outside my door. "What's Pepper doing here?" I asked out aloud. "I don't know Hiccup." Astrid said as she walked up behind me. "It looks important. Stay here. I will go and talk to her." I told Astrid and she nodded in agreement. I left the lab and went upstairs.

I went to the door and opened it. "Pepper! What a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting you right now. Why don't you come inside?" I greeted her. "Sorry Hiccup, but I am not here to visit. I actually came here to give you this." Pepper said, handing me a envelope containing something. "What is it?" I asked. "Your father gave it to me, two weeks before his accident and told me to give it to you when you will be ready and I think it is the time I should give you this." Pepper said. There was something in her voice, but I ignored it. "Uhh, thanks?" I awkwardly thanked her.

"You are welcome." She said and left. I closed the door and returned back in my lab. "What was all that about?" Astrid asked as I entered the lab. "I don't know, Pepper just came here and gave me this." I said, showing her the envelope. "What's in it?" Astrid asked, sitting on the couch. "I don't know." I said sitting beside her.

"Let's open it then." She suggested and I quickly agreed on it. I tore the sealed envelope and inside it I found a videotape wrapped in bubble wrap. I quickly unwrapped it and looked at the videotape in my hand. "A videotape?" I said as I checked it. There was a label on it saying 'For Hiccup'. "Maybe you should play it." Astrid suggested. "You're right." I said and went to find the old videotape player which was lying somewhere in the lab, leaving the videotape on the table. After fifteen minutes of finding and a little help from Astrid and Toothless, I found it.

I brushed the dust off it and connected it with a monitor. Then I inserted the tape in it and sat on a couch. Beside me sat Astrid. "I really hope this isn't something X-rated." I joked, earning a chuckle from Astrid. Asthe screen came to life we saw my father on the screen. He was sitting on a chair, probably inside his bedroom. Seeing him made me stop in my tracks. "What's dad doing?" I thought.

"Hiccup, if you're watching this, it probably means I am dead. I hope that you have grown into a successful man... and a better person than me." Stoick said the last part in low voice. "Today, I want to make a confession." Stoick said and looked down. He regained his posture and said,"Hiccup you are a smart boy and I believe you know that your inventions were actually sabotaged." Stoick sniffed and continued "I-I-I want t-to confess that I am the one who sabotaged your inventions." Stoick looked like he is about to cry. He wiped a tear and said,"I-I just wanted to turn you into a strong man, so that you could survive in this cruel world. B-but I guess I went a bit too far. I am sorry for what I had done to you. Hope you can forgive me for it." The video ended.

End of the video

I sat there in shock and disbelief. I couldn't believe that my own father did something like that to me. "Hiccup." I heard Astrid say in concern as she put her hand on my shoulder. I broke down crying. Astrid hugged me tightly and I hugged her back. "Hey, hey it's gonna be okay." She whispered in my ear. I just sat there, hugging her.

Astrid's P.O.V

I sat there, hugging Hiccup. Although I was angry at Stoick, because he is the real reason behind what happened to Uncle Flynn, but I didn't wanted to leave Hiccup like this. I had left him once. I am not doing that mistake again. Speacially at hard times like this. No matter what I will always be with him.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:- Hey guys, Commander alfa here. Hope you like this chapter. It took quite long to write this chapter. Looks like our favourite couple are finally getting together.
