Ok so this is my first Fanfic so please don't be to harsh : ) I do not have a beta so all mistakes are mine. This is a Swanqueen fic. Slowburn .OUAT does not belong to me.
Summary : What if only Emma goes through Zelena's time portal and a certain wish causes her life to change forever ( Emma doesn't go to the Enchanted Forest )
Chapter 1: The Wish
Emma was sitting crossed legs on a bench in the park near the lake while looking into space gathering her thoughts. She wanted nothing more than to have a life she always wanted from the bottom of her heart, her and Henry and... Regina in New York like last year. ' Wait where'd that come from ? '
When Hook slipped accidentally an told everyone, she was so irritated she wanted to smack hook behind the head for slipping up "What's he talking about ?" Henry asked as he looked at her with such vulnerability that she almost reconsidered... Almost. That's when Regina in her own little group of her and Robin was slightly watching them out of the corner of her eye and watching her little prince smile, she couldn't help but notice that that disgusting pirate had insinuated that Emma wanted to leave, Emma wanting the subject to change glanced at Charming. But the shepherd turned Prince couldn't distract her.
Turning to walk over to the group of Charming's Robin following her like the little lost puppy he is, Emma tried her hardest not to roll her eye's at how clingy he was. As Regina came over she started to question her over her decisions over wanting to move to New York. Fuming she stomped out of the diner and that's how she ended up hear on a bench.
It wasn't long before the one handed wonder came running after her with Henry's book. He tried to convince her to stay until eventually she broke down, turning her head to finally look at him her eye's caught a bright light she turned to look fully, " What the hell ? " she turned around so she face the bright yellow and orange beam of light coming from the barn where Zelena almost succeed in going back in time. As quick a bolt she started walking (running actually) to the barn leavening a quick " I gotta go check it out" under her breath.
When she reached the barn she got a text from David saying that ' Zelena's death kinda triggered the portal '. Just as she was about to open the door Killan tried to warn her it's dangerous. But Emma being Emma ignored his advice and reached for the handel, just seconds before her hand touched the door it flew open a surge of wind pulled both Emma and Hook towards the portal Killan thinking on his feet used his hook and forced in the ground just missing Emma's hand as she fell through the portal. Emma thinking this is the end made a wish ' I wish I had a family who would accept me for who I am. ' Killan instantly unhooking his hook from the ground to go with Emma through the portal moved forward and second to late as the portal closed...
