Thanks to Ulquiorra-Schiffer-4 for following my story
NicoleR85: felt better to have both episodes in one chapter this time.
"Doctor, we need to talk", James said to the Time Lord who was currently tinkering away at the console. The Doctor was keeping himself occupied to avoid thinking about their latest trip involving Van Gogh and a Krafayis. There had been a couple of very close calls with the Time Lady that they both loved which of course had worried them both to no end.
"What is it?" the Doctor asked, not looking up from his work.
"I kissed Ali", the meta crisis replied, making the Time Lord stop what he was doing and stare at him with this expression on his face that made the ginger want to bolt.
"You. Did. What?!" the Doctor exclaimed, angrily. James moved back with his hands up when the Time Lord stepped toward him.
"Though to be fair she kissed me first", he added.
"She would never do that, not to me", the Doctor argued. He knew how much Alyssa loved him just as he knew that she would never cheat on him with anyone. Especially with the hurt she felt when Ben broke her heart. There was no way she'd do that.
"I'm sorry Doctor but she did", James insisted and the Time Lord's hearts broke "Ali regretted it immediately!" he quicky added "she doesn't want to feel the way she does about me but she can't help it and neither can I". The Doctor looked at him for the moment before he walked off. James watched him leave wondering if he should follow. In the end he decided to stay put as it was probably best for the Time Lords to talk it out amongst themselves.
The Time Lord in question found his fiancée in the kitchen, drinking some tea. The red head stopped when he came into the room. "James told you", she stated.
"Why did you do it?" he asked, quietly "was it to hurt me?"
"No, of course not!" Alyssa put her mug down and went over to him, taking his hands "the last thing I wanted to do was hurt you. I love you Doctor, so much".
"Clearly not enough", the Doctor shot back, pulling his hands out of hers. He started to walk away when she blurted out
"You don't know what its like!" he turned back "To feel this way even though I know its wrong!" she went over to one of the chairs and sank down onto it "I wish you could feel what I'm feeling right now", she mumbled, looking down at her hands.
The Doctor's anger dissipated seeing how upset she was. He stepped over to her chair, dropping to his knees and placing his hands over hers. "Show me", he said, softly and she looked up at him. The Doctor lifted his hand to wipe away the tear that was rolling down her cheek. "Like you did before".
Alyssa nodded and lightly pressed her fingers against his temples, closing her eyes. The Doctor did the same and pretty soon a kaleidoscope of emotions flooded through him. Love, sadness, anger and confusion. He broke the connection and kissed her. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry", he murmured, resting his forehead against hers. Now she'd shared that with him, he could tell that she really didn't want to feel the way she did about his meta crisis.
"I'm sorry too", the empath whispered back "I love you, Doctor so much".
"I love you too", the Doctor said softly.
Several days later saw the TARDIS appearing in a park on Aickman road, right across from a group of terraced houses. "I think you took a wrong turning somewhere Doctor", James remarked as they stepped out of the blue box "it's not the fifth moon of Cindie Colesta. Unless that moon happens to have a Rymans".
The Doctor opened his mouth to say something when there was an explosion, throwing both men to the ground. "Ali!" they exclaimed, surging to their feet as the TARDIS disappeared, taking Alyssa and Amy with it.
"What do we do now?" James asked him but the Time Lord didn't answer. He just stared at where the TARDIS used to be. "Doctor! What do we do!?"
"I…I don't know", the Time Lord admitted. The TARDIS was gone. His fiancée and unborn child have gone. He had no idea where they went or how to get them back. "I don't know James".
Inside the TARDIS, the Time Lady was desperately trying to regain some control over the ship. "Do something!" Amy shouted at her, clinging onto the console for dear life.
"I'm trying!" Alyssa shouted back. This was getting to be too much like the last time on the Crucible. "I'm not going to die again", she muttered, hands flying over the console "I'm not going to die again". The TARDIS stilled and the two women relaxed.
"Nice job", Amy remarked.
"Glad you like it but we still have a big problem", the Time Lady said.
"What's that?" the ginger asked.
"We can't land", Alyssa answered.
"Oh…that is a big problem", Amy agreed. The Time Lady nodded and moved over to the jump seat where she sat down, hand on her stomach. "What's wrong?" she questioned, concerned when the red head frowned.
"Nothing", Alyssa replied, moving her hand across her abdomen "in fact something is right". She lifted her shirt and smiling when she seen something that confirmed what she'd felt. "I'm starting to show".
Amy let out a squeal and ran over to take a look. "You must be so excited", she stated, somewhat giddy as she took a seat next to her.
"I am both excited and scared", the Time Lady admitted "I mean…what if I'm a terrible mother?"
"Now that is ridiculous", Amy scoffed "you're going to be amazing mum and if the Doctor was here, how would say the same".
Alyssa smiled gratefully "thanks, Amy", she said.
"You're welcome", Amy said "so, how do you plan on getting the TARDIS to land?"
"I don't have a plan", Alyssa confessed.
"What about a 'thing'?" Amy grinned "Doctor always has one of those".
Alyssa chuckled "yeah he always does have one of those, doesn't he? Well…" she hopped off of the jump seat "I best get to work on the 'thing'" she walked back over to the console "ok, Sexy. Lets do this".
Amy watched her fiddle around with the console, huffing when nothing seemed to work. "No go then?" she asked/stated.
"Fraid not", Alyssa replied, running a hand through her hair.
"Could you…I dunno…tap into the power you used at the beach?" the ginger suggested "give yourself a little boost" Alyssa glanced at her "I know it was a stupid thing to suggest".
"No, Amy. Its actually a perfect idea", the Time Lady told her "if I can use it to escape Moira and pilot the TARDIS whilst towing the Earth…" a flicker of confusion appeared on Amy's face "then I can certainly use it to land the ship".
"That's great!" Amy said, happily. The TARDIS shook again, throwing the pair to the floor.
"You ok?" the Time Lady questioned, helping her up.
"Fine", Amy replied "you?"
"I'm good", Alyssa answered before placing her hands on the console "you better hold on and close your eyes", she instructed "its gonna get bright". Amy did as she said and the Time Lady pulled from her connection with the TARDIS. She started to faintly glow gold and the ship began to move.
Eventually the TARDIS appeared back at the park. Amy and Alyssa emerged from the blue box in time to see James, the Doctor and an unfamiliar man race from a house. "Well, that's not something you see every day", the ginger commented as they witnessed the top floor of the home disappear in a shower of golden sparks.
"I wish I could say that I'd seen it before but I really haven't", the Time Lady admitted "now, lets go reunite with the boys". The pair of them then walked over to the males. "What did we miss?" Alyssa asked.
"Ali!" the Doctor and James chorused, both delighted and relieved to see her. The meta crisis opted to hang back while the Time Lord hugged his future wife. "Are you alright?" the Doctor asked her.
"I'm fine as is the baby", Alyssa assured him "in fact there's something I need to tell you".
"What is it?" the Doctor questioned.
"Not here, in private", Alyssa replied, casting a glance at the others and the Time Lord nodded in understanding. He started to lead the Time Lady away when she called back to the other guy with James "Craig you should tell Sophie how you feel".
"H-how did you know my name?" Craig asked, confused "and how did you know about Sophie?"
"A girl has to keep some secrets", Alyssa answered with a smile "but all in honesty, don't hide how you feel. You deserve a little happiness in your life".
"Ok, I'll um…I'll talk to her", Craig stammered.
"Good", the Time Lady said and let the Doctor lead her away. When they got inside the TARDIS, the Time Lord turned to her.
"What did you want to tell me?" he asked.
Alyssa pulled up her shirt. "I'm starting to show", she replied. The Doctor smiled, stepping forward to place his hands on her waist and gently rubbed his thumbs over her small bump.
"Beautiful", he murmured before he kissed her "you're beautiful".
