"Detective?"

"Lucifer."Chloe smiled.

"Do I smell okay now?"

Chloe sniffed in his direction. "Yes." She sighed. "You smell divine."

"Oh good," Lucifers said, stepping out fully onto the balcony.

He then turned his attention to the child that was curled up with a blanket.

"She's out," Chloe said lightly.

"I should take her to bed," Lucifer said before he scooped her up.

While they wanted to be gentle and help Trixie through this devastating time; they also wanted to keep some semblance of a routine.

He took her to bed, laying her down in his guest room. "Goodnight Beatrice." He walked back to Chloe. "Shall we had to bed ourselves, love?"

"Yeah we should, I'm feeling so damn tired"

Another voice appeared from behind as they were walking into the penthouse. "Brother, I have a message for you." Remiel booms with a heavenly voice.

Lucifer tightened his grip on Chloe and turned to his sister.

"What is it?" He said annoyed.

"It's from father."

"That's impossible."

"It will be his last message ever and it's for you and her," Remiel said, pointing to Chloe.

"On with it then." He said impatiently.

"Father said 'As a gift for stepping into my place, I am giving you a child. A child that will take your place in many millennia when it is your time to retire.'" Remiel relays.

"Does that mean-?" Chloe vaguely asks.

"You are with child, Chloe," Remiel says bluntly.

"She can't be. I'm a celestial. The only way is by my choice! I am God now! I have the power here!"

"It's a gift from your father. Our father. The last one. And he said that he put this into the works before he retired. Most women don't find out till around 6 weeks. Congratulations, it's been 5."

Lucifer laughs. "The night we got back together."

"I- I-" Chloe tries. Her eyes fill up with tears. So many emotions flood through here rapidly. "This is too much." She curled her body towards Lucifer, leaving into his chest. Lucifer wrapped his arms around her.

"If that's all, sister-" Lucifer starts.

"I'll be available to answer questions. One thing that I know you'll ask about is that your pregnancy will be normal to human pregnancy." Remiel says.

She flies away without further discussion, leaving Chloe and Lucifer.

Lucifer sat on the couch with Chloe's head in his lap for a while. She cried for a short while in fear of the unknown and the seeming loss of control over her body.

"I want it," Chloe mumbles after a long time spent in silence.

"What?"

"The baby. It's unexpected but not unwanted or unloved."

Lucifer looked down at her, in his lap. "I'm sorry."

"Don't. It's not your fault and we are going to love this baby."

They were quiet again for another beat when Lucifer spoke up once more.

"At least we've already been looking for a larger place."

"Mommy, Lucifer!?" Trixie calls out, standing in the doorway.

"We're coming," Lucifer replies. "Come on, Love. It's bedtime." He says, lifting Chloe into his arms and standing.

•••••••••

2 days after Remiel gave the message

"Lucifer, that's too much."

"Nonsense."

"This place is way out of our budget."

"What budget? There is no budget."

"Yes, there is, nothing over 1Mil-"

"Don't worry about the money. Just find a place we love."

Chloe sighs. Her eyes roam over the specks on the laptop in front of her.

"It's got it all." She decides.

"Then I'll put an offer in that they can't refuse."

•••••••••

3 days after the offer is accepted

"Where are we going?" Trixie asks.

"We wanna show you something, monkey."

Trixie looks out of the windows in the car. The city fades just enough for the ocean to come into view. The car pulls into a long driveway with a gate.

Lucifer punches in the code 1289 mumbling, "we're gonna have to change that."

There's a curve in the driveway that hides the house from the gate. The house comes gradually into view.

White marble and white siding made up the structure and character of the outside. There was a balcony that was off to the left side of the house, that looked over the richly decorated garden. The windows were large and clear.

"Where are we?" Trixie asks.

"Welcome home, Beatrice," Lucifer says with a smile.

They park in front of a large garage. They all pile out of the car and walk up to the front door.

"This is our house?" She exclaims.

"It is," Chloe says with a large smile.

Lucifer pulls the key from his pocket and slips it into the lock. "Would you like to open it, Trixie?" he asks.

She nods and turns the key, pushing the door inwards, giving them a view of a short halfway with a small dining room off to the left. The hallway led into a large kitchen that was colored in white, light blue, with gold accents. The kitchen led into an even larger living room. The wood floors were a light brown throughout the first floor.

Looking up they see a balcony inside that looked to be from a bedroom.

"Can we go upstairs?" Trixie asks.

"In a minute, we've almost finished the first floor," Lucifer says. They walk throughout the home, looking around. Lucifer leads them to the downstairs guestroom and office space.

The stairs, leading upstairs were in the living room and seemingly disappeared into the wall. The stairs take them into a hallway with several rooms on each side. To the right was the large master suite, with a large on-suite bathroom. The master bedroom had a balcony overlooking the beach.

"This is gorgeous, Lucifer," Chloe says.

"Mmm, I was hoping that you'd like it," Lucifer says. "Would you like to see your room, child?"

Trixie nods excitedly. "Yes."

Lucifer leads them down the hall past one of the bedrooms, and into the second room. This room has a balcony that goes into the living room.

"This is my room?"

"Yes, it is, monkey."

"What's the other room for?" Trixie asks.

They take her into the first bedroom that they had pasted. Standing in the middle, Trixie looks at her mother and Lucifer expectantly.

"What's this room for?"

Chloe kneels down gently to be closer to Trixie.

"Trixie, your gonna be a big sister," Chloe says gently.

"Your pregnant?"

"Yes, I am."

Trixie looks over to Lucifer, who nods with a smile. Trixie launches herself to hug her mother.

"Are you happy?" Chloe asks.

"Yeah, does this mean that we're a real family now?"

Lucifer moves to be closer to his girls. "Forever and always."

•••••••••

Upon arriving back, Trixie is asleep in the backseat of Lucifer's car.

After seeing the house, Lucifer drove them around the area. They went out to dinner and he also showed them that it was only 5 minutes more from Trixie's school.

"I'll get her," Lucifer tells Chloe before she can try herself. He carries her up through the back of LUX and up to the penthouse, with Chloe behind them.

Reaching the penthouse, Lucifer lays Trixie on the couch.

"Why aren't you putting her to bed?" Chloe whispers.

"It's only 7 pm. And she's not asleep." Lucifer responds. "I'm not using my God power on you both but I can't help knowing some things."

Loudly Chloe says, "Lucifer, do you wanna finish the rest of the cake with me? I'm not sure it'll fit in the fridge."

"I'll help!" Trixie cries sitting up.

~Chloe 6 weeks ~

(4 days after seeing the house)

"Lucifer, let me help!" Chloe demands.

"Not in any way, love."

"I may not be able to lift heavy things but I can carry smaller things. And I can pay for the movers."

"Nope, they've already been paid and we're not even moving in for another few weeks. Today is just a few things so that your mother can get her place back."

Chloe gave Lucifer a look of annoyance. Lucifer's refusing to let her pay for everything has been the source of a few arguments the past few days.

"Once we're married, it won't matter whose money it is," Lucifer says.

"You have to propose first, Mister."

"There's a ring on your finger isn't there?"

"No real proposal?"

"Do you want one? I thought a proposal in heaven was pretty fancy."

"It wasn't a clear proposal of marriage."

"Well, I guess that I'll have to try again."
