A/N: I don't own any of the characters except my own.

Olivia had been back to work since the beginning of the week. She didn't mind desk duty, since she was cutting down on the time she was out in the field. Hank's recovery and rehab were both going well. He was told he could go back to work after another week off if things continued to go well. Olivia had been sitting at her desk doing paperwork while everyone else was gone. Elaine came up with a visitor.

"Olivia, you have a visitor."

"Thanks.

Elaine left and went back downstairs.

"Hey, Nick."

"Hey, Liv. How's it goin'?"

"Pretty good."

"How's Voight?"

"He's doing great. If he continues to progress in the next week, he can go back to work a week from Monday."

"That's great. How's your ankle?"

"It still hurts but at least I didn't need surgery."

"That's always a good thing. How are you with what happened though?"

"You mean with Elliot?"

"Yeah."

"I have mixed feelings about it but he brought a lot on himself. I think I was more concerned with how it affected my relationship with his kids than anything else. His ex-wife doesn't blame me or Hank and neither do the kids. Ever since he came back into my life over a year ago, I wanted a relationship with his kids but not necessarily with him. His one daughter lives here and is married to the brother of one of my Sergeants, so we do spend a lot of time together. The only one of the kids he seemed to care about was Olivia, the youngest. He said he and his Olivias were going to live happily ever after. He said he didn't care about my family."

"A former CI of Voight's killed him?"

"Yep. Hank did him a favor once, so he felt he had to return the favor. Elliot wanted to file charges against Hank for what happened. Apparently Elliot can dish it out but he can't take it. Internal Affairs didn't think the charges would stick and ended up dropping them after he spoke with his counterpart with the NYPD. Lieutenant Bradley made the comment that Elliot's Internal Affairs file was bigger than Hank's."

"Tucker must have had something to do with that."

"Oh, he did."

"Now that Tucker and I have worked out our differences, he's not so bad."

"He says the same thing about you too."

Elaine came up with Lizzie.

"Hey."

"Hey, Lizzie. When did you get home?"

"Last night but I may be going out to Seattle to help Mom go through his apartment. Kevin was back last Saturday."

"How'd things go with your grandma?"

"Actually, not too bad. She was glad we were all there. She and Mom have remained close even after the divorce."

"Any arrangements yet?"

"Since we had him cremated, we will just do something at a later date probably in Seattle. Grandma wasn't sure if she's planning to go or not. Mom said we could probably do something in NY later as well. Grandma said she would like to see you the next time you're in NY and that includes your family."

"Does she blame me?"

"No. She basically said he brought it all on himself, which is basically what we're all saying. Dickie said the seller accepted the offer Ed and Maggie made on the house here."

"I did hear that from Lisa. I haven't talked to Ed since last week. What does Bernadette think about Ed?"

"Actually, they get along pretty well. She loves Jenna and the boys. One night Dickie, Jenna and the boys came over to Grandma's and brought Ed and Maggie with them. She said she knew Ed was the one that was with Internal Affairs but they seemed to hit it off."

"Lizzie, this is Nick Amaro. He was my partner after your dad left. Nick, this is Lizzie Schmidt, who is Elliot's daughter and twin sister to Ed's son-in-law."

"It's nice to meet you."

"You too. I am sorry for your loss."

"Thanks."

Then the squad came back.

"Hey, Liz."

"Hey, Kyle."

"Everything ok?"

"Yeah. It's just been one hell of a last week or so."

"I can imagine."

"Do we need to call Casey?"

"Our person of interest was found dead, so we called Intelligence in. They're out there now."

"Ok."

"Maybe he's done this before and someone else decided to get rid of him."

"It could also be someone related to the victim. Start looking into the vic's background."

"On it, Lieutenant."

Then Justin came in.

"Hey, Mom."

"Hey."

"I looked up what I could on the now deceased suspect. He was charged with several sexual assaults in New York City maybe 5 years ago but never convicted."

Justin handed the file to Olivia and she looked at it.

"Yeah, I remember this. Nick and I were the arresting officers and Barba was the Prosecutor."

Then Olivia shook her head and couldn't help but laugh.

"What?"

"Langan was the Defense Attorney."

Lisa rolled her eyes.

"It's Trevor's former Clients from New York that always seem to show up here."

"They joys of being married to a former Criminal Defense Attorney."

"Exactly."

"How did Dad's therapy go?"

"Fine. He's determined to get back to work as quickly as possible. Not that he'll be able to do much. I wish we had an elevator here. Going up and down the stairs is hard."

"It was for me after my surgery last year, so I completely get it."

"How do you get up and down?"

"Justin temporarily relocated from the 21st at his dad's request. If he has a case with Intelligence that he needs to help out with, then Lisa helps me."

"I like working with SVU better."

"Don't tell your dad that."

"He knows."

Olivia emailed Michelle to get a copy their file on the case.

"Liv, I think I'm gonna head over to your house."

"Ok. I'll let Hank know you're coming."

"I should head home too."

"Are you and Kev available for dinner tonight?"

"We should be as long as we can bring the kids. Mom and Dad have plans tonight."

"No problem."

"Great. We'll see you and Alex later and Olivia, I'll talk to you soon."

"You definitely will."

Lizzie and Nick both left and then Olivia called Hank.

"Hey, Babe."

"Hey. Nick is in town and on his way over."

"Ok. It'll be good to see him. How's work?"

"We had a case where our person of interest was killed, so Intelligence was brought in. It was the same perp as one I had in New York 5 years ago. I emailed Michelle to send me a copy of their file and then I will get a copy of it to Antonio as well."

"That works."

"You ok?"

"Yeah. I just wish you were here."

"I do too. I should go."

"Ok."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Olivia hung up the phone and everyone started working on the case. Michelle had sent Olivia the file, so she looked through that just as Intelligence came in.

"Anyone have any other angles?"

"I have the original file from New York."

"Can you print that out for me?"

"I was just going to do that."

"Ok, good. Thanks."

"Sure."

Olivia printed the file and gave it to Antonio.

"Thanks."

"No problem. Nick is in town. He went over to our house."

"I can't wait to see him."

"Why don't you and Case come over tonight?"

"I'll check with her and let you know."

"Ok."

"How long is he here?"

"That I don't know."

"So, when are you having all the girls over?"

"Honestly, I have no idea."

"We could still do something even with the guys around."

"We haven't met in a while but there are 3 new babies."

"We haven't and I wouldn't count on Sarah being there."

"Erin and Olive don't have a choice. How long are Trevor and Greg gone?"

"Either late tomorrow or Sunday."

"Where'd they go?"

"Hartford. One of their law professors from Yale died and they wanted to attend the wake and funeral. Mom is staying with Sarah and Rita is staying with me. He plans to spend some time with his brother and family while he's out there as well."

They all worked on the case. Nick was just arriving at Hank and Olivia's. He rang the doorbell. The kids, Erin and Olive were taking a nap, so Hank answered it.

"Hey, Amaro."

"Hey."

"Come on in."

"Thanks."

Nick came in and took his coat off.

"How you doin'?"

"Better. I could be goin' back to work as early as a week from Monday. I still can't drive and Olivia has a hard time getting out of the car on that side, since it's her left foot. Either Justin takes her or Lisa picks her up."

"Where are the kids?"

"They're napping and so are Erin and Olive."

"You still have your Nanny?"

"Yep. She's doin' the laundry right now. Erin and Olive are slowly getting back into their normal routines but neither one has driven yet. Some days Alyssa has to take me to therapy but today, Jay's brother took me. He and Natalie help out whenever they can. How are you?"

"I'm doin' good. I'm closer to my daughter but I see my son as often as I can. He'll come see me when he's on break and I'll take them to Disneyland or Magic Mountain."

"For our first anniversary, we took the entire family to Disney World. That was when Erin and Jay got married. Olivia wanted to go the year before around Noah's birthday but not with the baby coming. The boys had a great time and that was where Lexie said 'Dada' for the first time."

"Oh, wow! I remember that with Zara. I'm glad Liv finally got to experience it. Becoming a mother was so important to her."

"She loves every minute of it."

"Did Olivia tell you what Lexie did when she threw a temper tantrum?"

"No."

Hank told Nick what happened before they came back from Paris.

"She didn't?"

"She did. Apparently she has my personality."

"Liv is pretty feisty though, so she's not completely innocent."

"No, she's not."

"Did you two enjoy Paris?"

"We did. That was a gift from the kids."

"Does Liv still see everyone from New York?"

"Yeah. Ed and Maggie are planning to move here with their daughter, son-in-law and grandsons."

"That's what I heard. I met one of the siblings when I was visiting Liv."

"Barba and his family were here recently and so was Munch."

"I still can't believe Barba's married and has a kid. I can't believe Rollins and Carisi are married and have a kid."

"We have yet to meet their new daughter. Olivia wants to take a trip to New York but neither of us are in any condition to do that at the moment."

"Your son is working with Liv for the time being?"

"Yeah. I wanted him around to help her out."

Noah and Daniel came downstairs.

"Daddy."

"Papa!"

"Hey, guys. Look, who's here, Noah."

"Hi Uncle Nick."

"Hey, Noah. How are you?"

"Good. Daddy, Lexie is awake."

Alyssa headed upstairs.

"I got her."

"Thanks."

Alyssa went to get Lexie and brought her back downstairs. Then she handed her to Hank.

"Dada!"

"How's Daddy's girl?"

"K."

"She looks more and more like Liv every time I see her."

"She certainly does. Can you say hi to Uncle Nick?"

Lexie hid in Hank's neck.

"Now you're gonna be shy? Alyssa, you remember Nick Amaro, don't you?"

"Yeah. It's nice to see you again."

"You too."

"Can I get you anything?"

Alyssa told Nick what they had and then Nick told her what he wanted. She went to get it and then brought it back.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

Alyssa went to finish the laundry and then Erin and Olive came into the family room with the girls.

"Hey, Nick."

"Hey. Congratulations!"

"Thanks. This is Nadia."

"She's beautiful."

"Thanks."

"This is Camille."

"She's beautiful too."

"Thanks."

Everyone sat and talked for a while. Several hours had gone by and Olivia and Justin were arriving at the house.

"Hello."

"Hey, Babe."

Olivia hobbled in and went to give Hank and kiss. Justin gave Olive a kiss as well. Olivia sat down and put her leg and foot up.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."

"Antonio and Casey are coming over for dinner, since Antonio wants to see Nick."

"That sounds like a plan."

"Liv, I can't believe how much she looks like you. I heard what she did."

"She's definitely a little character and has her daddy's personality. Hank is 3 for 3 with the ones that are biologically his."

Hank gave Olivia a dirty look and then she started laughing.

"You think you're so funny, don't you?"

"Yes, actually, I do and you love me."

"You're a pain in the ass sometimes."

"Thanks. I love you too."

Lexie started giggling.

"Do you think Daddy is funny?"

Hank tickled Lexie's tummy and she giggled again.

"Did we just want to do Chinese or something for dinner?"

"That works."

Hank called Antonio to see if Chinese was ok for dinner. He said it was. He said he and Casey could pick it up on their way over. Hank told him he'd order it and Antonio said they'd let him know what they wanted. Once Hank hung up, Antonio contacted Casey and they decided what they wanted. Antonio called Hank back and Erin contacted Jay to see what he wanted. Once Hank knew what everyone wanted, he called it in and let Antonio know what time to pick it up. Antonio and Jay left the District at the same time. Jay headed home, while Antonio went to get Casey and then went to pick up the food. Jay got there first.

"Hey."

"Hey, Babe."

Jay kissed Erin and Nadia. Then he picked Nadia up and sat down.

"There's Daddy's girl. Hey, Amaro."

"Hey. Congratulations on the new baby."

"Thanks."

"How are things goin' with the case?"

"We keep coming up with dead ends. We're no closer to finding out who killed the guy than we were when we started."

"I looked at the New York file again and maybe it had something to do with one of his vics there that wanted revenge on him."

"I take it you've already ruled out it being self-inflicted."

"We ruled that out from the beginning because of how he was shot. Ruzek and Atwater are still working on the case and will let us know if they come up with any leads. Some of the people from SVU are helping. Lisa is still there."

"Ok."

Then Alyssa came in.

"I'm heading out. Have a great weekend!"

"You too, Alyssa."

"Bye, 'Lyssa."

"Bye, guys."

Alyssa left and headed home. Little did Olivia know was that Fin was coming in to help with the case as well and he was bringing Melinda with him. As soon as Michelle had been contacted about the file, Fin volunteered to come out to help, since he remembered the case. The flight arrived in Chicago and once they got their luggage and the rental, they headed to the hotel to get checked in. Then they headed over to Hank and Olivia's. When they got there, they rang the bell. Justin went to answer it.

"Hey, you two."

"Hey, Justin."

"Come on in."

"Thanks."

Fin and Melinda went inside, took their coats off and then went into the family room.

"Hey!"

"Hey, you two. What brings you here?"

"I decided to help out with the case, since I remembered it. Hey, Amaro!"

"Hey."

Fin and Melinda hugged Olivia.

"How are you both feelin'?

"It's still there."

"Me too. If my therapy continues to go ok, I can go back a week from Monday."

"That's a good thing."

"Can I hold her?"

"Sure."

Jay handed Nadia to Melinda after she sat down.

"She is so precious."

"Thank you."

"Camille is beautiful too."

"Thank you."

The doorbell rang, so Erin went to get it. It was Casey and Antonio with the food. Adam, Kim, Kevin and Lisa were there too.

"Hey."

"Hey."

Everyone went inside.

"Hey, Bro!"

"What up?"

"Anything with the case?"

"Nah."

"We can't get the ME's report until probably Monday at the earliest. If things calm down, it could be sooner."

"Do you have the photos?"

"Yeah."

Adam handed Hank the photos and he and Olivia looked at them.

"This was definitely a revenge thing. Look at one the places he was shot."

Fin saw the photos.

"Damn!"

Then Melinda looked at them.

"No doubt that was revenge."

Melinda tried to describe the situation of how it could have happened without actually seeing the body.

"I'm starting to think that it was a vic from New York getting revenge. Did you check his home?"

"Yeah, we did."

Everyone got some food and then they continued going over the files. After they were done eating, Melinda, Lisa, Kevin and Adam went to the ME's office, so Melinda could have a look at the body. The ME was just working on it and was more than happy to have Melinda help.

"Nick, sorry about that."

"Don't worry about it. How's it goin', Dawson?"

"It's goin' great. Casey and I are gettin' married and expecting a baby."

"That's great. Congratulations!"

"Thanks."

"Does she get along with your kids?"

"Eva and Diego love her. She and Laura get along pretty well too. The kids are looking forward to having a new brother or sister. How are Zara and Gil?"

"They're great."

"So, Liv, you couldn't talk Alex and Kyle into coming over?"

"They were having dinner with Kevin and Liz."

"How's Liz doing?"

"They're doing fine. I'm pissed that Elliot tried filing charges against Hank for doing something he would have done. Like I have said, he could dish it out but he couldn't take it."

"What made Stabler think that you'd wanna go anywhere with him?"

"I have no idea. It makes me think that he was going to try to get Kathy out of the way, so he could easily get their daughter.

"Well, he can't bother you or anyone anymore."

"That's true."

"Stabler's been full of shit and himself for a long time. It's your choice who you're with and that's Voight. Just like it's Dickie's choice who he's with. I can't believe I'm sayin' this but Tucker turned out to be a pretty decent guy after all."

"He did. At least he and Nick have learned how to get along and they are civil when they see each other. He's the one that told Lieutenant Bradley to contact Lieutenant Davis about Elliot's IAB file. Lieutenant Bradley said Elliot's file was bigger than Hank's."

"Tucker didn't miss much, did he?"

"No, he did not."

"The only time he didn't investigate me was when I shot Johnny D."

"That was obviously justified because of what he did. Judge Linden later said she would not have granted him even supervised visitation and Judge Barth said he would have gone away for a long time just because he shot her."

"That makes sense."

"I told both Ed and Trevor last year that I now trusted both of them over Elliot. Elliot's main goal since coming back into my life was trying to wreck my marriage. Couldn't he just be happy that I found someone who makes me happy?"

"Apparently not because it wasn't about him or didn't involve him."

"He had a fit when Kathy's new boyfriend wanted to spend time with Olivia but he was fine when he wanted to spend time with Eli. He told me that it was just going to be him and his Olivias forever wherever I wanted to be. I want to be with Hank and our family for the rest of my life. That's all I care about."

"I get it."

"You've been more of a friend to me than he ever was. If I meant anything to him, I would have heard from him after what happened with William Lewis. Sure, a part of me wondered what he would have done to Lewis but I also wonder what Hank would have done."

"All I can say, Babe, is that Lewis guy never would have gotten to you again if I had known you when that happened. I would have put a bullet in his head."

"I think any of us would have."

"I appreciate that. I'm just glad he's dead."

"Voight, do you think Atwater and Ruzek are ready for the Detective's exam?"

"I think they are."

"I told recently Kim if she thought she was ready to think about taking it the next time it was offered. She's been a great addition to our squad."

"Good."

"So, what's with Lisa workin' the case? Are things ok with her and Langan?"

"Oh, yeah. He's out of town for a few days. One of his former law professors from Yale passed away and he and Greg went to the visitation and funeral. She's the lead on the case anyway."

"Ok. Rollins and Carisi asked me to give you this."

Fin pulled the picture out of the folder.

"They're so adorable. I can't wait to meet Billie and Noah wants to see Jesse."

"Those are Rollins' girls?"

"Yep."

"The oldest one looks just like her."

"She does."

"Billie looks like Carisi. Believe it or not, he's a good dad."

"I'm glad she finally got Declan to give up his rights, so Carisi could adopt Jesse. He's been more of a dad to her anyway."

"Yeah, he has."

A little while later, Melinda, Lisa, Adam and Kevin came back.

"How'd it go?"

"It was pretty much as Dr. Warner said. We now have the results."

Lisa handed the results to Olivia and then she let Hank see them.

"We have the list of vics from the New York case and also from the one here. I guess start with that and see what you can come up with."

"Got it."

Everyone who was still working on the case left, including Fin and Jay.

"This is going to be one of those cases, isn't it?"

"Afraid so."

"Thanks for your help, Mel."

"Yeah, no problem. So, how are you?"

"I'm ok. He didn't care whose toes he stepped on and all he cared about was his own happiness. My feelings were never taken into consideration at all.

"I've known you both for a long time. I'm sure you cared for each other but I never saw your relationship as anything more than platonic."

"That's because it was never anything more than platonic but yes, I did care for him. I respected Kathy and the kids too much for that. When they came back into my life last year, I told the kids I wanted to be in their lives but I didn't want Elliot because of what he pulled in Hawaii. Did he really expect me to just forgive him for walking out on a 12-year partnership like that? He couldn't even say goodbye. Like I told Nick when he told me he was putting his papers in, I grew more in the 4 years we were partners than I did in the 12 years I was with Elliot. I learned how to trust people that I never thought I'd ever trust and that's Ed and Trevor. Fin has been there for me through a whole hell of a lot more than Elliot ever was and that goes back to what happened at Sealview."

"Both Ed and Trevor changed their jobs as well."

"Yep. Ed realized there was more to life than IAB and Trevor gave up being a Defense Attorney to help me with the adoption. Elliot could never accept the fact that I had become friends with Ed. Like I told him, people change but he obviously hadn't. Dickie stood up to his father and he slaps him. I don't blame Dickie one bit for not wanting him around the boys. He said Ed has been more of a father to him than his own father was. He said Ed took him to the Rangers' game recently because he had an extra ticket and he was also taking Kevin. Elliot never had time for that and later, his entire life was for the youngest one."

"That is actually sad. You would think he'd want a relationship with all of his kids and their families."

"Right. He thinks it's the end of the world because Dickie married Ed Tucker's daughter and Liz's husband is a nurse, so she's pretty sure he had a few things to say about that."

"What do the other husbands do?"

"Maureen's husband is a firefighter and Kathleen's is a lawyer."

"There is nothing wrong with a guy being a nurse."

"He's a surgical nurse and he works with Lisa's dad at Northwestern. Liz said he thought about going to Med School but he didn't want to be paying off loans forever."

"Which is understandable."

"Liz almost went to Law School but the same thing, she didn't want to be paying off loans either. They're still trying to get as much as they can taken care of, so they can eventually get their own place. Dickie is so different compared to his dad."

The doorbell rang again, so this time Olive went to get it. It was Kyle, Alex, Kevin, Liz and the kids.

"Hey, Olive."

"Hey. Come on in."

"Thanks."

Everyone came in and took their coats off. Then they joined everyone else.

"Any luck on that case?"

"Fin, Lisa, Jay, Kevin and Adam are still working on it. I don't know about the others. The kids are all in the family room."

Kevin took Molly and Nicky into the family room with the other kids and then he came back into the living room. Everyone sat down.

"How are you, Dr. Warner?"

"I'm doing fine but please, call me Melinda."

"Ok, sorry."

"That's ok."

"How was dinner?"

"Great."

"I'm just glad to be home. I'll probably be heading to Seattle within the next week or so to help Mom go through Dad's apartment. Everyone else will eventually go out there as well. I just want to be able to spend time with my husband and kids without having to deal with my family."

"We already have the trip to Disney World coming up in April, which is just the 4 of us. The next thing we need to work on this year is finding a place of our own. I know living in Chicago is expensive but I don't want to live far from Mom and Dad or Kyle and Alex. We've been talking about wanting to have another baby anyway."

"Yeah, I know. My mom said she'd help."

"Mom and Dad have said they will too but they have also said they aren't in a hurry to get rid of us either."

"I take it your dad was still getting a pension from the NYPD."

"Yeah. I think Dickie is supposed to be going to talk to them about that. I think Ed told him who to contact. Of course knowing him, 5 of us got ignored and Olivia was probably the only beneficiary of whatever he had."

"Let's hope for something positive."

"When it involves, Dad, that's a little hard to do. It seemed like he was trying to make up for not being around for us by spoiling our little sister. It is what it is. I could get a job if I really wanted to but I like being home with the kids. I don't want to get a job and then get pregnant again."

"I'm fine with you not working. That was never really an issue for us."

"Until now though, we were never serious about buying a place of our own."

"We'll figure it out. We're both in the same situation. I didn't want to go to Med School because I didn't want any more debt and you didn't continue on to Law School for basically the same reason. We got pregnant with Molly sooner than we expected. If we find a place, we find a place. If we don't, we don't."

"Before Justin and I had Millie, I had wanted to be in our own place but obviously that hasn't happened yet. We had looked at a house a couple blocks away and made an offer but we were out bid."

"Jay and I want to find a place. The only thing is if we both get calls during the night and sometimes we end up getting a combined call, we'd have to figure out what we're doing with Nadia. Mom and Dad usually don't go out unless they absolutely have to and if they have to go, we have Olive. Right now, with me off, it doesn't make a difference. If Jay has a call, he just goes."

"That's the same problem Dickie and Jenna would have if they decided to get their own place. I'm not sure how my mom did it with 4 of us."

"You were the one that gave your dad the least amount of trouble.

"Yep. Maureen has always been the drama queen of the family, Kathleen is bipolar and Dickie always got mixed up with the wrong people."

"Kathleen seems to be handling things quite well now."

"She's been better. Her husband is really supportive and she did well when she was pregnant. We're all starting to wonder if Dad had the same problem."

"It comes from his side."

"That's why. He just never wanted to admit he had a problem. He changed with the wind. He could be fine one minute and flying off the handle about one thing or another the next. Dr. Charles at Med seemed to agree with us."

"Dr. Charles is great at what he does. I'm actually surprised your mom was the one that named the youngest one."

"She figured Dad wouldn't argue about it, which he didn't but he wasn't this bad about being so obsessed with you until the last year. I think it was more so once he found out you were married."

"Do you remember when your parents had separated at one point?"

"Yeah. That was just before she found out she was pregnant with Eli."

"If I had romantic feelings for him at all, I could have told him when he told me he and your mom were separated just to complicate things. I never felt that way because I never wanted to cross that line. Even if he had never left, I still wouldn't want him even if he had gone to another unit. I never felt anything romantic for him whether he wants to believe that or not. Honestly, I wouldn't want him if he was the only man on earth. His leaving was the best thing for me. I wouldn't be in the position I'm in now if he had stayed. I grew more after he left. I love you guys and always have but there were so many times when I was more involved in the family drama than I wanted to be and it affected his job. That's all I would hear about. I at least make a conscious effort to spend time with my kids and Hank and I make time for each other even if we've both been busy with cases. I know when I have had enough and need a break. So does he. With both of us being Lieutenants, we have Sergeants to handle the cases and even more so now with me on desk duty and Hank recovering from surgery. Both Lisa and Kyle are both quite capable of handling things in my absence and so is Antonio in Hank's absence."

"Lisa and I were partners for a long time, even before we both went to SVU. We've known each other since the Academy. We have always had a mutual respect for each other and maybe at one point, I wanted more but I understand why she didn't. I respected her decision and she's still one of my best friends. I wasn't sure I liked Trevor at first but the more I got to know him, the more I realized they really did love each other and now I have Alex. I'm not trying to be disrespectful of Liz's dad but from stories I've heard, it doesn't sound like he ever really respected you even more so now. If he had, he would have let you be happy."

"I agree completely. He seemed to think that if he hadn't left, he would have been put in charge of SVU when Don retired. Ed says there is no way in hell the NYPD would have promoted him."

"If they wouldn't promote me, why would they promote him? I admit I made some stupid decisions but at least I can be civil with Tucker."

"It would have been hypocritical on the Department's part to promote him and not you and he was more damaged than you were. I wouldn't have wanted him as my Commanding Officer and I doubt Fin would have stuck around. Elliot would have let that go to his head. Like he needed more to fuel his ego."

"That sounds about right. We are just so sorry he has put you through all this in the last year."

"I don't blame any of you for this. He obviously had issues and decided to take them out on me."

"He took them out on everyone. Mom got a call from Jack while we were in New York and he told her that he had gotten a letter from Dad saying that if he ever went near his daughter again, he'd kill him. Funny thing though, there was no mention of the time he was spending with Eli."

"He has always been a bully. This just proves that he clearly was not in the right frame of mind."

"All we care about is that Jack is good to Mom, Eli and Olivia, which he is. Mom is going to see if she can get anything out of Olivia as to whether or not Dad ever said anything bad about her or anyone else."

"When did he start not wanting to spend as much time with Eli?"

"Right around the time school started this year. Eli plays soccer and Mom had asked Dad to take him to his game. He told her he was too busy. He would come up with every excuse in the book not to spend time with Eli but would do anything to spend time with Olivia. The feeling was mutual. Eli is getting so tired of being treated like crap by him just like the rest of us are. He told Mom that he didn't want to see Dad anymore. She had a feeling Dad was going to kidnap Olivia, so she went to court to see if they would change his visitation to supervised visits only. He still showed up whenever he felt like it and demanded to see her. She also gave him an ultimatum: he either spends time with both kids or he doesn't see Olivia. He didn't like that and called her just about every name in the book."

"He probably was planning to kidnap her."

"None of us doubt that for a minute."

"Did your mom tell all this to Commander Crowley and Lieutenant Bradley?"

"She did. Mom said she was starting to fear for her life too."

"Does your grandma know all this?"

"Oh yeah!"

"What does Jack do?"

"He's a teacher and baseball coach at the high school but he also coaches Eli's baseball team through the Park District. He has a daughter, Kelsey, who's Eli's age and a son, Max, who's Olivia's age. He's widowed. The kids get along pretty well. Mom also knows Jack through school. Mom and Dad moved to Seattle before Eli started Kindergarten, so actually right after Dickie and I graduated. I was accepted here at Northwestern and Dickie stayed in New York and lived with a friend, while he did the National Guard and attended classes."

"Kyle, I never realized it before but is there that much of an age difference between the two of you?"

"Kevin and I are 10 years apart. Our parents had kids every 5 years. We have another sister, Kim, between us but none of us ever hear from her. The last we heard, she was in California."

"I have a half-brother that I never hear from either except when he wants something, like money. He'd have no idea what I'm married and no longer living in New York."

"I don't even hear from Teddy either. He's probably back to doing what he was doing when we found him. I never heard from him when I contacted him to tell him about Bunny. As far as I'm concerned, the only uncles Nadia has are Will and Justin. I've always been closer to Justin than I was to Teddy. I've really tried with Teddy."

"Just like I have with Simon. Although I haven't kept in contact with him either."

"Sometimes it's better that way."

"I know. I had often wondered about how I'd react to seeing Elliot again but once he was back in my life, I wish he hadn't been. The only good thing that came out of that was having Kathy and the kids as a part of my life again."

"We're glad we're able to be in your life again."

"Your brother said that he wanted to come by sooner but he didn't know how I would feel about seeing any of you. What happened with your dad leaving the NYPD had nothing to do with how I felt about the rest of you."

"If I had known that we were in the same city and you were my brother-in-law's boss, I would have come to see you sooner too. Even after the divorce, Mom wanted to reconnect with you too. I'm glad we reconnected last year even if Dad acted the way he did."

"I am too and I'm grateful that everyone in your family still wants me in their lives even after what happened with your dad recently."

"We're the ones that are grateful to have you in our lives. Dad was the one that acted like a jerk to you the moment he came back into your life and found out you were happily married."

"The only person he ever cared about was himself."

"That's for sure."

They continued talking for a while and then everyone went home. Erin and Olive went to get the girls ready for bed and fed them, while Justin got the boys and Lexie ready for bed. They still really had no leads on the case, so they decided to call it a night and went home. Tomorrow was a new day.

Intelligence spent most of the day on Saturday investigating the case and actually accomplished something. They made an arrest and sent the person to jail for a long time. Olivia spent that time getting caught up with Nick. By Sunday afternoon, Nick went back to California and Fin and Melinda went back to New York. Trevor and Greg returned from Hartford on Sunday as well.
