A couple months later, it was now the weekend of Trevor and Olive's wedding. They reserved a block of rooms at a nearby hotel where everyone could stay. The afternoon of the wedding, everyone got ready and headed over to the house. This was the first time any of Olive's family had been there.
"Wow! This place is gorgeous!"
"You can say that again."
"Do you think they'd let us stay here sometime?"
"I don't see why they wouldn't. Katie and Josh stayed here that one weekend."
"That's true. How many of the people from Chicago are coming?"
"Most of Intelligence, Trudy and Mouch but they were all coming in this morning and staying tonight."
"My whole squad will be here as well. Jeff and Shauna left the 4 kids with his parents and Amanda left Jesse with the Carisis. I'm expecting 2 weddings in my squad pretty soon. As soon as Shauna transferred here, she told me she was pregnant and Fin and I are trying to figure out when Amanda and Sonny will get married and Amanda gets pregnant again if she isn't already."
"Do the Tuckers know about the baby?"
"Diana does and I'm sure that means Edward does too but as far as the rest of them go, I have no idea."
Olive came out of the house and went to hug them.
"How are things going?"
"I'm more nervous than I was when I married Justin. I nearly had a breakdown last night and thankfully my mom and my aunt were here to calm me down."
"Were you and Trevor apart last night?"
"Nope. Who's watching the animals?"
"Lucy is at our house with the 3 dogs and Noelle. We almost left the kids at home but they wanted to be here. Lucy is always happy to be at our house with the pool anyway, so she was more than happy to stay."
"I'm glad they are. Rick's kids are here and so are Colleen's."
"Is anyone else from your family going to be here?"
"Nope. My parents got into it with my sister because she wanted them there this weekend and they said no. They never told her why but she said it's always about me. Whatever!"
"Don't let your sister ruin your day."
"I won't. Hank, I want to thank you for being so supportive of all this. You will always be a part of the kids' lives. I will always love Justin because he was my first love and the father of my 3 oldest. Trevor does make me happy."
"I know. No matter how happy I am with Olivia, a part of me will always love Camille because she was my first love and the mother of my late son. I never thought I could ever be happy again after Camille died but as I found out, it is possible to open your heart to someone else. It took me a while to realize what I wanted. Everyone is different. I'm glad it didn't take you as long as it took me."
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared about this and I'm the one that said I'd be fine with a friends with benefits thing but I guess that was before I ended up pregnant. I know this happened after I got into it with my sister at my dad's retirement party and I'm not sorry it happened."
Trevor came out of the house with the kids. He was carrying Nikki.
"Mama!"
"Hey, you! Who's got you?"
"Dada!"
"Is it final?"
"It is."
"Congratulations!"
"Thanks."
"Pop-Pop."
Hank picked Justin up.
"Who's this handsome little guy?"
"Me."
"You look very handsome, Daniel."
"Thank you."
"You ready for this, Langan?"
"I am."
"So, can we get a tour of this place? It is gorgeous."
"Thanks. Of course you can."
Trevor took all the Voights inside and showed them around before they headed outside. Dan, Nicole, Adrienne, Denise, Katie, Josh, Al, Meredith, Ed, Diana, Kara and Brandon came over to them.
"You look beautiful, Olive."
"Thanks. Where are Rick and Colleen?"
"Probably still trying to get the kids ready."
Katie put her hand on Olive's belly.
"How's my niece?"
"She's been kicking all morning."
"Good."
"I assume the food got here."
"They told us to stay out of the kitchen."
"Figures."
Dan came over with Kelly and Connor.
"Hi Uncle Ed."
"Hey, you two."
The rest of Olivia's squad came over.
"Olive, you look beautiful."
"Thanks."
"Shauna, how many people know what you told me?"
"Oh, they all do. We went to City Hall after work yesterday with my parents, my grandparents, Jeff's parents, Uncle Ed, Aunt Diana and the kids and made it official."
"Congratulations!"
"Thank you. We decided we didn't want to wait and I didn't want a big fuss made about it. We're staying here until tomorrow night and then we'll go on an actual honeymoon later but probably not until after the baby and I get some time built up. He's ready to adopt Eddie and I want to adopt the girls."
"I can take care of that if you'd like. Give me a call any time after the week of the 25th, since that's when I will be back in the office."
"Ok. Thanks, Trevor."
"No problem."
"How do the kids feel about this?"
"Jeff asked Eddie if he could be his daddy and I asked the girls if I could be their new mommy. I was more concerned with Amy and Beth's reactions because of the situation but they were both excited about it. I haven't really unpacked yet, so my dad, brothers and uncles are supposed to be helping to move stuff over there."
"Does that mean you?"
"It does."
"Is your house big enough for everyone?"
"We thought about finding a bigger house but I love the neighborhood. I love living next door to you and Shauna is close to family there too. We'll make it work."
Nicole and Dan had a surprise for Olive and they had just arrived. Trevor knew about it.
"Hey, Ollie."
"Peter, Chad, what are you guys doing here?"
"We wanted to clear the air once and for all. None of this was us. Jess is the one being childish. It's your choice to be with whoever you want to be with and if Trevor makes you happy, then we're happy for you. You've been through a lot in the last couple years. We're sorry for everything and we hope you can forgive us. Congratulations by the way."
"Thanks."
"We both have interviews here in New York. I'm interviewing at Trevor's law firm."
"So, everyone is ok with relocating?"
"Yeah. I had already talked to Trevor and his partner via Skype. That went well, so I'm confident I already have the job. Missy and the kids are fine with moving."
"My interview is on Monday. I did a video interview, so this is just a formality. Terri and the kids are fine with relocating too."
"Mark filed for a separation, which is why she insisted Mom and Dad come there this weekend. He's getting so sick of her crap. Even the kids are too. She's pissed at us now too because we're planning to come to New York and she thinks everyone is against her, which is kind of true but it's her own fault. Trevor and I have been talking more since after Dad's retirement party. I just told him to keep things between us for right now. He knew we were going to be here."
"He did, did he?"
"I did. Are you mad?"
"No."
Olive was starting to become emotional and buried her face in Trevor's chest and then she hugged her brothers. She then introduced them to everyone. Once Rick, Colleen and their families got there, along with the group from Chicago, all they needed was the Judge, who was performing the ceremony. Once the Judge got there, everyone took their seats and the ceremony started. Rick walked down the aisle with Denise, while both of Olive's brothers walked Nicole down. Trevor and Mark stayed up front with the Judge and then Adrienne walked down first. Then Daniel and Becca headed down the aisle just before Olive and Dan. Hank and Olivia had Nikki and Justin during the ceremony and thankfully, Camille was asleep. During the ceremony, both Olive and Trevor were getting emotional as they exchanged vows and rings. After they were pronounced husband and wife, they kissed and they headed up the aisle followed by everyone else. After everyone congratulated them, they had pictures taken. The Tuckers had been busy with the food. Camille started fussing, so Erin had taken her inside to feed her and Jay decided to join her. Hank and Olivia were sitting at their table and Olive and Trevor came over to them.
"We're really happy for the two of you."
"Thanks. A year ago, I wasn't sure this was what I wanted but the more time we spent together, the more I realized I was happy and that was something I hadn't felt in a while. Justin is always going to be in my heart and the kids will always know about him when they're older. I had a dream about him last night. He told me he was happy I was happy and he's glad I found someone that can take care of us, so that we'd never have to worry about anything again. We're still a family, so that will never change."
Both Olivia and Olive could tell Hank was starting to become emotional, so Olivia rubbed his back.
"I guess that means you're all part of my family now too. Up until a little over a year ago, I didn't even have my mom in my life but now, she's a part of my life again and I finally have a family. Those 3 kids may not be mine biologically but I promise to love them as much as I love my daughter after she's born."
"I know you will."
"That's why it was important for us that the 2 of you were another set of grandparents to our daughter. If Daniel and the twins were going to be staying with you, then she should too. I want the 4 of them to grow up knowing that they are loved by all of their grandparents and you were more than willing to share Daniel and the twins with Trevor's mom."
"We promise to love her the way we love the other 3."
"Good."
Olive hugged Hank.
"I love you, Hank. I always will."
"I love you too, kid."
Then she hugged Olivia.
"I love you, Olivia."
"I love you too, Sweetie."
The food came out and then everyone started eating. Erin and Jay had come outside just in time for the food. After dinner, there was dancing. Olive and Trevor had the first dance and then everyone else joined them on the dance floor. Everyone talked for a while and then Olive and Trevor cut the cake. They fed it to each other and then everyone else had cake. Trevor noticed she was gone, so he went after her. He found her in their bedroom, so he locked the door.
"Hey, Beautiful."
"Hey, Honey."
He joined her on the bed and put his hand on her belly as he kissed her.
"Today was so perfect."
"It sure was. Are you ok about your brothers being here?"
"Yeah, actually, I am.
"I just don't want you to be mad at me for not telling you."
"I'm not. I love you."
"I love you too."
They started kissing again and then Olive started to undo Trevor's shirt.
"I'm not sure I can wait until we get to Paris."
"I'm not sure I can either."
They undressed each other and then they made love for the first time as husband and wife. Afterwards Trevor had his arms around her and she had her head on his chest.
"Too bad we can't just send the kids back with my parents and stay here for the week. Although a week in bed with you in a Parisian hotel doesn't sound so bad either."
"I love the way you think, Mrs. Langan."
"I love the sound of that."
"Mrs. Langan."
"That sounds so sexy."
"You are sexy, Mrs. Langan."
"Will you still feel that way when I can barely get out of bed in a few months?"
"Oh, yeah."
They started kissing and made love again. They got dressed and made the bed before joined everyone. Erin and Jay had taken the kids back to the hotel and that included Daniel and the twins. They were sitting with the group from Chicago.
"So, would it be possible for us to stay here some weekend?"
"Absolutely. Just let us know when."
"Great. Thanks."
"No problem."
"What time is your flight?"
"8 o'clock tonight."
Trevor's mother and siblings joined them.
"Ok, so now that you're married, I can share my news."
"What news is that?"
"Josh and I are engaged and having a baby."
"No way!"
"Yep. We're due around Christmas. We're not waiting long to get married. We're doing it the Friday after the 4th of July at his parents' place on Cape Cod and then we're flying to Hawaii. It's just going to be the families and that's it. Hopefully the 2 of you can be there. If you don't want to bring the kids, I completely understand. I want you to walk me down the aisle."
"We'll see if we bring them or not. My parents are going on a cruise to Alaska and Jamie already asked for time off, which would mean they'd have to stay with Hank and Olivia."
"We're fine with that."
"We'll be there too but without the kids. We almost didn't bring them with us now. Jess' parents will keep them for the weekend and I'm sure I can get off work. I'm still on light duty anyway. How are you doing, Diana?"
"Better. Thanks. I'm in my office more now than I have been in a while."
"They have me doing the cooking, since I'm not going to calls. I recently got promoted to Lieutenant."
"That's great. Congratulations."
"Thanks. I took the exam and did pretty well. The Lieutenant we had retired, so I basically replaced him. One of my favorite Houses to work with is 51. I have so much respect for Chief Boden and I've known Casey and Severide for years."
"We like working with your House too. A lot of the other Houses can be so competitive."
"Yeah, I know. A lot of the guys at some of the other Houses can be such jerks but 51 seems more like a family than most."
"Actually, we are."
"51 would be the only other House I'd work at if I had a choice. Sometimes we don't though."
"That's true."
"Has Intelligence gotten any good cases lately?"
"We had a sex trafficking case recently. That took up a lot of time. How's Kara's teacher?"
"She's doing well. She was off about a month but the kids have been really supportive. Kara and Kelly went to see her in the hospital and asked if they could come see her at her home. Kara got an award at her school for everything she did that day. She handles things a lot like her aunt does."
"That actually made the news in Chicago."
"That's what we heard."
"Her aunt doesn't handle situations she gets herself into very well though."
"Don't be so hard on yourself. Your unit is the least of my worries just as it always has been. I'm not the best in certain situations either. Obviously. I go into a school to help in a hostage situation and end up getting shot. My daughter was more of a hero that day than I was."
"Don't be so hard on yourself either."
"The wedding was beautiful, you two."
"Thanks."
"So, when are you due?"
"Mid-September. I'm pretty sure it happened after a certain incident at Dad's retirement party. Missy and Terri are usually pretty close to Jess."
"Lately, not so much. They've said that they think you've handled things a lot better in the last few years than Jess has in all the years she and Mark have been married. It's not the end of the world because you were living with your father-in-law nor is it the end of the world because you're with someone closer to Mom and Dad's age. You're happy, so why should that matter? You're a better mom than Jess is. I've really gotten to know Trevor better in the last 6 months and he's a great guy."
"Mom and Dad, did you know about this?"
"Not until recently. When we went for the birthday party, we talked."
"We're hoping to be moved before school starts up again. The first step is for us to get our respective jobs and then we'll bring Missy and Terri out to look at places. They have already been looking online. We're hoping to find something close by, so the kids can see each other all the time. We want them to get to know your kids better too."
"There are some units for sale in our building. We have an indoor pool and an outdoor rooftop pool."
"There are several homes for sale in our neighborhood too."
"Our wives will want something with a pool I'm sure."
"No doubt. This is your place, right, Trevor?"
"Yeah. I bought it not quite a year ago."
"This is amazing!"
"Thanks. We like it. If we want to get away from the city for the weekend or a week, we come here. I had the pool put in right after I bought it. The kids have had their own rooms since I bought it."
"That's awesome!"
"Do you know what you're having?"
"We do. It's a girl and her name will be Margaret Grace. We will call her Maggie."
"Wow! That's a pretty name."
"Thanks. I came up with it and Trevor liked it. I've become pretty close to Olivia these last couple years. Her middle name is Margaret and of course my middle name and Mom's middle name is Grace. Daniel Henry is after both of his grandpas, Justin Michael is after his dad and Nicole Olivia is after both grandmas and me.
"Babe, we need to get ready to head to the airport."
"You're right. We do. Excuse us."
Olive and Trevor went upstairs to change and then they got their stuff. They came back downstairs and said goodbye to everyone. They left and stopped at the hotel to say goodbye to the kids before they headed back into the city to the airport. Everyone else started leaving as well. Dan and Nicole took Hank and Olivia back to the hotel, so they could get the kids and then headed back to the house. A couple hours later, Olive and Trevor's flight took off for Paris. It had been a long day for everyone. Mostly everyone else except Dan, Nicole and the kids was headed back in to the city late morning or early afternoon. Their sons were staying with them and then they were all heading back in the evening. Olive and Trevor's flight arrived in Paris mid-morning.
The next week went by quickly. Trevor and Olive spent time exploring the city and in their suite making love. They also checked in with the kids as often as they could. They enjoyed as much as they could, since they knew this would be the last time Olive could go anywhere for a while. As much as they missed the kids, neither of them wanted to return home.
