Chapter 01
Encounter
No One POV
In a unknown section place that was inside of a building, met with a blurry vision, something horrifying has happen that make this situation become a scene straight out of a horror movie. The place has become dark with dim light only lighting some of corridor. And not only that, many people in white robe has been slaughtered by a mysterious person. They're being helplessly killed one by one, with many people trying to run and scream at same time.
"Help, somebody HELLLP--!!!!"
"Noooo, stay away, STAY AWAAAY--!!!"
"Don't do it, don't do it, NOOOOO-!!!"
The victim remained also have been scaterred all over the places, from blood to inner organ like intestines. Obviously judging from the damage, the killer never use range weapon for this act, but instead something sharp enough to butcher the victim with fast.
Some people who manage to avoid this unknown killer are trying to hide their presence in effort not to be found by the killer,
'Okay, i think i save for now.'
"GROOWLLLL"
"HUH-!?"
but sadly, their effort are short lived compared to the previous victim. Soon enough, the place become very quiet, with only flickering light and quiet growl voice accompannied the building corridor.
Sometime Later
After that tense moment, the place suddenly being raid by a group of people that look like belong to millitary, complete with their outfit consisted of bulletproof vest, helmet, and a machine gun on their hand.
They're waiting for the order from their captain until the voice came through the communication unit.
"Our main target is a killer who slaughtered all of this people in this facility. The superior order in this mission is to shoot the target on the spot. Be careful for surprise attack and ambush from target. Once we capture him we can start identifying all of the victim for casualties report. Understand!?" said the captain to his personnel.
"Yes, Sir." replied the personnel.
"Alright then. Everybody, move out!" ordered the captain.
They started the searching for the killer. Some of then begin to feeling queasy for encoutering all of the corpse in their investigation.
After what they feel for eternity, once the killer been found, the captain instantly ordering them to start shooting it without mercy.
"Is everybody, ready?" asked the captain.
"Yes, Sir." replied the personnel.
"Well then," said the captain as he locked the target, "OPEN FIRE!!!" shouted the captain when ordering the team.
They shoot it with their machine gun. They keep shooting until the target fall to the ground and didn't move at all. After for around many seconds, the captain order them to stop firing. Once they stop shooting the captain order two of the personnel to check the condition.
"Did he dead?" one of the personnel asked.
"I don't know. Let's check it first." replied other personnel.
"Nah, i'm sure he's dead. We shoot him at every place." the first personnel countered.
Right after they said it, the killer suddenly raised up as if it body is never been hurt
"No, he's not. Step back you two, NOW!."
And when the killer step closer to the group, much to their shock, the killer in question is not a man or woman, in fact it never been a human.
"What the-!?!?"
"Is this-!?!?"
"For real!?"
The creature that was standing in from of them was something that can be considered as a monster. It look and shape was like it belong to reptilian in form, with scale and has a tail, but it standing a foot like a human and is taller than the average person. It has a human-shaped head and eyes. It arms and legs have a set of claws. Suddenly, some of the man that previously stand in front of it instantly step backward from the shock and fear.
When this happen, the captain quickly up his voice.
"Don't falter back." bark the captain with loud voice. "Remember, he's our target. No matter what it looks like, this creature is mass murderer, don't let it escape or there will be more casualties from it."
Once they managed to regain their composure, the group continuing their assault on the monster with machine gun. However-
"GAAAHHAAA!!!"
"BUWAAHHH!!"
The monster suddenly rush forward and break through the group defense line and they all fall, with some injured and some knock out.
"B team, the monster in your position. Chase it before it can escape."
The captain order the B team to chase it. They're start chasing the monster but suddenly, the agility of the monster suddenly increased.
"That thing is fast. He can crawl on the wall and dodge our bullet."
"He's big, but much agile than he look."
"Damn it, keep firing."
They can't keep up with it's agility that before they know it, the monster has run away and lost it.
The B team report their situation to the main team before they're start regroup with the others. Right when they're regroup and join investigation team, the captain of the main group start informing his superior about their situation.
"Sorry ma'am, we lost it. It looks like the target has been escaped to the manhole close to the building. Should we keep pursuing ?" said the captain, through the communicator.
"No, even if we chase it, you're team are in no condition to fight. Keep your communication up so you will be ready when the next notice come." said the superior, which the voice come from the communicator identified as a woman.
"Yes, ma'am." reply the captain.
"Any report about the remaining victims, any survivor or other condition?"
"There is no survivor before we came, ma'am. All of the corpse we found, they're..." said the captain before he start pondering.
"What? What about the corpse?" asked the woman.
"...they're...unrecognizable. They're scattered everywhere. Blood, intestines, any kind of organ body are mix with one other so much we can't recognized them." said the captain,with heavy voice.
"...I see." said the woman, before she continued. "They're not only be killed without reason. They're get killed... because they're prey to him. Prey, to be consumed. People are it's food."
The captain begin to have shock from his boss explanation, and then start to ask question. "Ma'am, with respect from you, can i ask a question ...what is the creature we're dealing with? It look like somekind of monster i see from horror movie. Is that real?
The woman begin to sighed before she finally give the answer. "...Unfortunately, it's real. Other information about him right now is classified to other people, except me and the other superiors."
"But ma'am-"said the captain, but his word get cut.
"The only thing that you need to knew right now is that monster was very dangerous. The next time your team deployed against it, we will support you by providing more effective weapon. Is that clear?" said the woman, with a stern voice.
The captain silent from revelation before he answer."...Yes, ma'am. Crystal clear."
"Good. Once the data on the investigation team is sended, your team can go back to the HQ. That all for today."
"Roger, ma'am." said the captain before he turn off the communication and return to his team.
Meanwhile, at other place.
In a building and a conferences room, a woman in business suit start a conversation with other three people in the room. They're consist of men with variation of businness suit with different color. Black, brown, and blue.
"What the situation, Mizuhara?" said the first men, which revealed to used black-colored suit.
"It's no good. The One managed to escape before we managed to subdue it." said the woman who's named Mizuhara, which from the voice is revealed to be the same person that the squad captain talking to.
"As i was afraid of, not even our millitary can handle The One rampage." said the second man, the one with brown suit, with worried tone.
"Even so, we need to stop it before the casualties increased and it go to the public." said the third man, the blue suit-one, in determinate tone.
"What about the weapon that we ask you to develop, Mizuhara?" asked black-suit man.
"It's almost ready. By the time we encounter it again, we can use it to subdue The One." reply Mizuhara, before she share them the paper that contain the data of weapon in question.
After a minute of reading the paper, the black-suit man speak while he give the paper back. "Okay, thank you for the information, good work today.".
"Yes, Sir." reply Mizuhara. After collecting the paper from the men, she give a bow before leaving the room
"Wait." said the black-suit man holding Mizuhara from leaving. "I know this will be difficult for you, but please, hang in there for a bit.".
"...Yes, sir. Well then, excuse me." said Mizuhara as she walk to the door.
And just when Mizuhara step out of the room, she was halt by a young man in business suit that was come with a report in his hand.
"Sir, we got a report from the Air Force." said the young man.
"What is it?" asked the blue-suit man.
"When their pilots doing a scramble order to identify the unknown flying object in their area, one of their Eagle unit crashed with the flying object." said the young man before he give them the picture that contain the image of an F-15 Eagle destroyed remains, in pieces.
"I can't believe it. What the status of the pilot?" said the brown-suit man while still looking at the picture.
The young man give them the answer that no one expect. "He survived, sir."
"HE SURVIVED!?" yelled the brown-suit man, with shock and loud voice.
"Yes, sir. It look like he injured and passed out when we found him, but other than that, he survived the worst." said the young man while he give them another picture depicting the pilot in bruised and battered condition.
The people in the room then start to wonder, how a person managed to survive that kind of disaster. After pondering for a moment, one them start to talk again.
"I see, thank goodness he's alright." said the black-suit man in relieved tone. He then continue."What about the flying object? Did we secured it?"
"No, sir. We...cannot find the object." said the young man, with reluctant voice.
The men start to turn their face to the young man with confuse expression. One of them start to stand face-to-face in front of young man.
"What do you mean? It crashed a fighter plane, so it must be huge. How can you not find it?" said the brown-suit man demandingly.
"We search it everywhere near the crash site, but we can't find it anywhere, not even the remnant. All we found is the remnant of Eagle unit. It was as if the object was never there." said the young man as he tries to explain it hastily.
"That's unbelievable." rebuke the brown- suit man.
While one of the men still arguing with young man, the other start realise something when he put the two together. The other then walk toward the arguing couple.
"Not exactly, remember this is not the first time something like this happened." said the black-suit man in order reassure their founding to the brown-suit.
"Really? When was the first happened?" said the brown-suit man to his college, with a bit of skepticism in his voice.
"It was about months ago, when we found our lost Submarine along with...him." said the blue-suit man.
When the brown-suit start pondering of what his college words mean, he suddenly realise it wide eyes open. The incident where they found one person survived while the other is found dead at beached submarine...
was also the incident that become the beginning of the creature that they hunt today.
"...Ahhhh." said brown suit man before his realization. He then turn to his college. "Don't tell me-"
"Yeah, i think that what he mean." said the blue-suit man, arriving at the same conclusion.
When the two start pondering on this situation, the black suit man approach the young man. "Can you tell me who is that pilot? The one that surviving the crash?"
"His name is Shunichi Maki, a liutenant rank." answer the young man before he give him the paper data containing the name and many details about the pilot.
After reading it for an instant, he reply. "Understood, thanks for the info, good work today."
"Yes, Sir." said the young man to the mens before bowing and leaving the room.
Once the young personnel leave the room, the three gentleman, along with Mizuhara, who has been hearing their conversation from afar, come out and then approach her college. Suddenly, everyone became anxious about this new predicament.
"Ooohhh, what should we do? Our situation with The One still not done and yet, there is another one coming. At this rate, Does we gonna have an full-blown invasion?" said the brown-suit man, ina worried tone.
"Calm down. I know our situation with The One still need to be resolved, but this time we have to monitored Liutenant Maki condition." said the black-suit man while he put the pilot data on the table. He then continued. "If my guess are right, then Liutenant Maki will become our first priority."
"I agree. We need to be careful so he will not ended up like The One." said the blue-suit man. He then approach Mizuhara. "Mizuhara, we need some of your personnel to do reconnaissance. Can you also collect anymore info about Liutenant Maki too?"
"Yes, sir. I can do it." reply Mizuhara.
"Good. With this, our meeting for today is over. Dismiss." said the the black-suit man.
And with that, the rest of person in the start to leaving the meeting room and starting to prepare each of their own duty.
Many days later, at a hospital
In the hospital, at midnight, there is room that was being occupied by a patient, sleep along with his family who come to help to take care of him. The patient is a man look around 30, has black-coloured hair which is bit spiky, and a bit of stern expression on his face. He also wear brown-colored hospital cloth.
On his bed side, the family that consist of his wife and son, sleep peacefully beside him in order to accompany him until he wake up. Suddenly, the man expression change to painful looking in his sleep, indicating that he had a bad dream in his sleep.
Dream POV
From the deep, dark-outer space of Planet Earth, an flaming orange-colored sphere fly to the direction of Earth. It entered the atmosphere like a meteor until it come to a range of a cloud above night sky. It keep flying straight above the cloud until suddenly, a Jet Fighter came into it's range. And as result, it crashed the Jet Fighter until everything going dark.
Back to real world
Suddenly, the man instantly open both of his eyes and start hypervilanting from the shock and panic come from that dream. He managed calm himself down second later and start to realize that he's in hospital. He start to looked around and see both of his wife and son sleep beside him.
"...Yoko?" said the patient.
"Mmm...eh?" the wife start to wake up before she recognized who's called her name"Shunichi!?" said Yoko.
"I...i...? What is happening?" said Shunichi as he try to remember what happening to him. "That's right, i--ghhh!?" Shunichi try to move out from the bed, but starting to become unbalance.
"Wait, Shunichi. You can't stand right now. I'll call the nurse, okay?" said Yoko as she try to call the nurse.
"Wait...just...tell me...What is happening to me--ghhh!?"
When Shunichi try control his pain, a voice of little one called out. "Mmm...papa?"
"...Tsugumu?" said Shunichi.
"PAPA." said Tsugumu as he come to his father bed and hug him. "You're already fine, right!?"
"Oh." reply Shunichi before he start hugging him back. "I'm sorry, for making you worried. Tsugumu."
"Papa." said Tsugumu once more while hugging him to confirming that his father is okay.
Shunichi too, hugging Tsugumu back while caressing his hair, relieved that he can see his family again after that unexpected incident.
Some days later, at the Air Force Headquarter
Shunichi walk outside of the headquarter in his proper official uniform carrying a bag on his side. He's accompanied by a man in green millitary uniform, along with green millitary hat. This man is Captain Kurashima. He's a teammate that become Shunichi friend and one of the person Shunichi trust in Air Force. They walked together side by side and talked to each other on their way to the HQ gate.
"You know, i'm still don't understand." ponder Shunichi. " The way i ended up on that accident, and the mysterious light i see that night. I'm trying to remember it, but nothing comes in. Why is that-"
"Maki!" cut Kurashima. "Don't think too hard." he reply as he try to eased Shunichi. "I admit that this incident is really mysterious. What with the malfunction engine and the dissapear flying object. And there's also-"
"My miraculously return." reply Shunichi.
"Yeah." said Kurashima. "That was our biggest mystery now. However Maki, be it miracle or whatever it is, you're still right here, alive and well. And that's the most important truth right now."
"But that-" said Shunichi before he's being cut again.
"Listen to me." said Kurashima, before he continued. "You're hit by an accident right before you can properly retire from the flying duty, you know how that feel?"
"I cannot say goodbye to you one last time if you're death. But you're here right now, so i can say i'm so happy to tell you this." as he turn his head to his side, Kurashima continued. "I can talked to you one more time, as a fellow in being pilot, it brings me joy. More than anything."
Hearing that from Kurashima, Shunichi unconciouslly smile a little through their conversation.
Once Shunichi arrive at the gate, he give one last salute to the gatekeeper before leaving the HQ for good. But then he turn around to see that Kurashima still see him, Shunichi give a salute to Kurashima for the last time, while Kurashima salute him back. Once they're done, Shunichi give a little laugh as thank for Kurashima, while Kurashima smiles at him with a little "hmm". After that, Shunichi turn around and walk away to his home.
At the middle way to home
As he walked to the street in the middle of city, Shunichi walked passed by a bookstore. When he walked, suddenly the bookstore door open with someone walked out holding a bag full of books. Shunichi who didn't see it coming, accidentaly bump him to the point he drop the bag.
"Waaaahhh." yelp the person.
"Ahh, sorry. I didn't see you coming." said Shunichi as he came to the fallen person."Here, let me help you." Shunichi then help collecting all of the scattered books.
"...Thank you." said the fallen person.
"You're welcome." said Shunichi as he began to have a clearer picture of the person who he just helped.
This guy was a teenager with black hair and green eyes. He wearing a uniform consisted of white button up shirt with a tie, and a green sweater. His long pants also green colored like the sweater, but also has vertical striped motif in it. And his shoe are brown-colored.
"Say?" said Shunichi as he helping the teenager to stand up.
"Yes?" reply the teenager.
"Is this book for your study?"
"Ah...e..yes, you're right. It's for my study assignment."
"I see. Well, good luck there with your assignment."
"Ahaha...yeah." said the teenager with a little laugh. After that, Shunichi walked away from him, and the teenager begin to sigh. "Phew, never though i bump into someone today."
Just when he started to walked away, something happened. "Huh?"
"What's wrong with my Command Seal? It pulsing so hard." said the teenager while he holding his hand that contained a red-colored tatoo-like mark firmly. With each pulse it giving the tatoo start to glow up a bit for few a seconds before it dim down. "Huh, it calmed down."
"Still, why is that happen ? Did Command Seal can give a pulse like that ?" ponder the teenager before he came to realize something. "Oh right, the book. I need to bring it to him." with hurry he run to his destination.
Meanwhile, at the sewer system
Somewhere, at the sewer system in the city, there's lies multiple bodies of children that was around 6 to 7 years old. And in the center of that, there someone who stand in the middle of them.
At first glance, he look like a hunched-tall man who only wear a black robe with scarlet pattern on the neck. But when look closer, he has the eyes that look like a pair of eyes belong to fishes. The man were speaking in a language that normal people can't understand while he open and read the book that has woman screaming face with its eyes covered by bandage as a cover. After a minute or more, he finished and close the book while inspecting each of the body that lay in front of him.
"Caster, my dude, i'm back~."
The man in black robe who is revealed to be named Caster, turn around to see who the one called him. And then reply "Ohhh, you're already finished, Ryuunosuke."
The one he called Ryuunosuke is a man with auburn hair and wear purple-colored clothing. On his right hand, he wear a metal bracelet that mysteriously glowing with purple light, along with red-tatoo like mark on top palm of his hand.
"Yeah, and look, i brought another kids to refill our supplies." said Ryuunosuke while pointing at his back, in which he brought a line of kids who were half conscious to Caster.
"Hmm, hmm, well done, very good~. With this more of our blapshemy will be enough to become a source that will save my maiden." said Caster with gleeful tone.
"Yeah, i can't wait to do another project with this kids." said Ryuunosuke. He then continued "Oh, by the way what will you do with the kids that you ask to released ?" as he pointing to the unconscious children on the floor.
"I will bring them to my maiden, Jeanne, and then i will presenting her with a proof that will definitely leave an impression of what worthless and cruel, for the god that abandoned her." said Caster with exaggerate gesture.
Ryuunosuke look esthathic by his answer. But then his start thinking "If you do that, then must be there some trick that you put on this kids." he then start approaching Caster "Hey, can you give me some spoiler what is it ?".
"Oh~, i wish i could. But the spell that i conjured prevented me from giving you the live demonstration. If i do that, then all of my hard work will be in vain. My deepest apologies, Master." said Caster before he gave apologize gesture.
"Ahhhh~, that too bad." said Ryuunosuke in dissapointed voice. However, he suddenly get an idea "But still, can you lend me that crystal ball of yours ? I really want to see it when you start the show."
"Hmmm, If you say so. Then, i will leave my crystal ball here." said Caster as he start to produce the crystal ball in question, and then give it to Ryuunosuke.
"Yesss, thank you Caster. You are the best, the coolest guy i ever met in my whole life." said Ryuunosuke in happy voice to the point that he start jumping and skipping all over the place.
"Mhhmhh~, i appreciate it, Ryuunosuke." humming Caster in satisfied tone.
Unknown to both of them, a shadow in the dark alley of sewer far from them managed to infiltrated and pass them without alerting them. When the shadow take a glance of those two, it take a sinister smile before it encounter a creature that look like a mesh of tentacles with many spikes. The shadow take a step and stomp the creature to pulp before it do something unnatural. It absorb the remain of creature into the body and then start to speak in whisper
"Strong...Need...More..."
After that, the shadow, who then is revealed to be the same creature that was name as The One, start to move again leaving the sewer.
Greetings, my name is Beginner TransFate. As my name suggest, i'm still a beginner and newcomer in Fanfiction storywriting.
For introduction, i like watching anime and tokusatsu, especially Ultra Series and Fate Series.
This Fanfiction idea came to me because i realize that both Fate/Zero and Ultraman: The Next are the prequel story of the each series that i like. Those connections instantly became the base of how i'm writing this story.
I don't know very much about capability of writing story right now, but i'm planning to finish it to the end.
