PS: Sup everyone. I read all your reviews and I decided on some things. I remade chapter 1! I merged both chapters together and added in more interactions, even a scene that wasn't in the game. I fixed the grammar. Sadly, my file and computer stopped working and all my hard work went down the drain which sucked. A lot! So I pulled an allnighter and tried to fix and replace everything. Shit, I am exhausted let me tell you!

Thanks for reading everyone and I hope you like this remastered chapter. I am going to bed now!

Chapter 1

The crowd finished clapping. They just finished their viewing of what happened to Subaru, the arcs were finally done as they saw Subaru succeed against all odds. Until…

"What is this?" Emilia glanced up towards the screen. It began to slowly spasm as the silver-haired half-elf clung to her knight's hand.

The rest of the group stared at the screen as it continued to flash. "Oi, capn already suffered…it's do…" But before Garf could finish his sentence, the screen busted back to life.

The screen lit up. A roaring desert that reminded the people in the crowd of the plains of their own desert, but they saw something different.

"What…" Anastasia stared. Jaw dropped as she stared at the screen, the buildings of this place that were able to touch the skies, her gaze even picking up lesser things.

Mimi and Tivey both wiped their eyes to make sure they were not seeing things as they stared at the screen.

Their eyes opened wide as they saw the "skyscrapers" which the little spirit told them before. Some of them even not even believing in what they were seeing. Though their faces turned into instant frowns, their eyes glancing along with the screen.

"A wasteland…" Otto mumbled to himself. His eyes picking up the sand-covered buildings, the destruction and the erosion of the buildings that touched the skies. Now reduced to scraps.

"What?" Julius, Reinhard, and Felix stared at the screen. A destroyed city covered completely in sand. They already knew the technological difference between Subaru's and their own worlds, but this was something else.

Buildings that touched the sky, but sudden frowns formed as Otto's words resonated within their heads.

"What a waste." Priscilla mused behind her fan. Feeling disgusted that such a technologically advanced place, so advanced would be reduced to such a state.

Al his hands clenched against the chair. "No, what happened…why here, how long have I been away?" He spoke as his hand clawed against his helmet. Frustration evident, another cruel reminder of how long it's been.

Petra and Frederica both looked on. Taking in the sights but it was Crush and Wilhelm that both spoke. "It looks like some sort of battle or war." They pondered to themselves as they continued watching.

The screen focused on a flag, turned upside down. Planted right next to the building.

Al's gaze focused on the flag. Upside down over the destroyed city, his eyes widening as he instantly recognized the flag. His eyes opening wide in shock, he knew the meaning of an upside-down flag. Distress...a call for help.

"I can't shake this guy, Subaru! "A man screamed through the screen, an unfamiliar voice that none of the occupants in the theater ever heard.

"Subaru…" Beatrice and Emilia spoke as their hands intertwined with his own. Silent promises, to watch over him. Though as they stared at the screen...

"Hit the brakes and keep her steady!" Subaru commanded.

The helicopter came into view. The flag flapping in the wind as the helicopter twisted and turned to avoid the enemy's projectiles.

"Subaru!" Rem screamed, her gaze following her hero.

Roswell's eyes widened as he stared at the screen, Ram also just silently staring as she glanced at the screen. "Inntereessting…" He spoke as he stared at the strange innovation."

"Are you out of your mind?" A second voice echoed.

"Subaru, he is the one giving orders?" Julius stared at the dark-haired boy.

"Julius, that's not the point right now!" Anastasia yelped at her knight. As the strange innovation, most likely carrying Subaru twisted and turned through the air, dodging numerous metal like projectiles.

"Trust me."

The two words stirred the Emilia camp, faint smiles forming from those two words. Even getting Garf and Otto to cheer as they raised their hands up for their friend. "That's capn, what did you expect!" Garf shouted at the knight.

A roar came from the "Helicopter" that Beatrice spoke of or rather the flying boat which the other occupants have called it before. Their ears distinctly picking up the half-elf's knight's voice.

The helicopter to their side was hit with a mess of bullets. Piercing into it as distinct black smoke piled from inside of it. The flames breached clear from its engine as it began to tumble down.

A faint whistle came from Al in shock. Everybody's eyes focused on the screen as they saw Subaru manning the strange weapon. "You're fighting…again," Emilia muttered into her knight's ear.

"Got them!" Screamed Subaru, his gaze focused on the falling helicopter. His left hand bandaged heavily as he tried to unjam the machine gun.

"Barusu…" Ram whispered. Her gaze focused on his clothes. She saw how he looked, how tired, and exhausted he must have been. She quickly shook the thought out of her head as she stared back at the screen.

His face was covered with dust, his clothes in tatters and his eyes had this insane look to them. They were still scary, but now the occupants of the theatre…felt, odd.

Garf was about to raise his hand triumphantly up for his capn destroying another one of his enemies. Though, he felt strange. His capn, he looked different…tired, and more…bloodthirsty.

"He…looks different." Ricardo spoke. A few words to try and describe the way he felt, though he just could not. This Subaru felt strange.

"Of Course, he does…" Felix commented back. Obviously pointing to Subaru's destroyed clothes and his dust-filled face.

"That's not what I mean. He just seems... off, not like the normal Subaru…"

Everybody's gaze focused on the demi-human man. "Yeah, Subaru dono…it's like he is exhausted, both physically and mentally." The others latched their eyes back to the screen as the viewing continued.

"Wasn't the last of them…"

"I see them!" Subaru commented. He turned his weapon to the right.

Another one of the airplanes went towards Subaru's Heli. His gaze followed as he pressed his fingers along the minigun.

The distinct sound boomed from the speakers of the theatre as they all watched eagerly. Subaru, his weapon breaching once again into the helicopter.

"What strong weaponry…" Anastasia spoke to herself. The others in the room wonder if the young merchant would try to replicate any of the inventions of Subaru's world. Though as they continued watching…the very thought made them sick to have such things exist.

The camera panned, showing the machine gun ripping deep into the soldiers on the other side. Their bodies being filled with holes like swiss cheese.

Reinhard went to cover his mistress's eyes, but to only be pushed away. Petra, her eyes being covered swiftly by a beast maid. Said beast maid's eyes staring at the carnage.

Mimi and Tivey, even taking a step back from the sudden brutality. "Capn…" Garf was about to speak as he saw the enemies get cut down, it was easy because he assumed it was the bad guys and he still thought of anyone that went after his captain as the bad guys. Though, as he watched them get chewed up by those silver arrows. His hand went down.

"Subaru…" Emilia and Beatrice both spoke, their eyes tracing the screen as they went back to the sleeping knight. "Why, did you net tell Betty?" She asked, her hands trailing along the boys sleeping hair.

The plane exploded, not even crashing down as it rammed into one of the destroyed skyscrapers. The glass on the building imploding as the remaining structure crumbled on itself, crashing into the abandoned streets.

"What destruction." Wilhelm mused as he stared at the screen.

Everyone nodding in acceptance with the old man's words.

"Damn it, Lugo…keep her steady!" Subaru screamed.

"Lugo?" Frederica repeated the strange name. "Did Subaru Sama ever mention such names?" The Emilia camp all shook their heads in silent response.

"So, this boy had a double life and you never realized it…huh." She spat out at the rest of the camp.

"What's your problem!" Felt screamed at the goddess, everyone's ears now listening to their argument.

She hid her mouth behind her fan as she spoke. "The boy holds secrets, and I find it amusing that none of you know barely anything about him. His lover, his friends…and even his sponsor, none of you ever asked anything about his past?"

The Emilia camp's eyes focused on the floor. They were fools…Subaru always diverted any questions and they just viewed it as his business. Though, did they really have the right to call them their friends?

"Sorry, sir." Lugo spoke. "This is the best I can do!"

"Subaru, he really is calling the shots." Ricardo said.

Roswell stared at the screen; a shit-eating grin plastered across his face as he stared with interest. "Youu, reallyyy…are something else." He chuckled.

Another helicopter came above them. Subaru's leaned his weapon up as the bullets breached underneath the enemy's plane. Even breaching the ceiling as it swiftly exploded, even taking out one of the other planes on the other side down with it.

The plane jerked to its right. Cutting in front of another enemy plane, Subaru's minigun piercing the cockpit. The man inside, his arms and limbs being swiftly blasted away in gruesome detail as Subaru's minigame shredded through him, like a knife to a paper.

Everybody grimaced as they watched the carnage. Petra, her hands going along her mouth as she struggled to swallow her throw up, even Garf who was about to cheer his captain on felt his hand go limp, disgusted by the carnage.

Anastasias and Julius both took a step away, it was obvious to them that the man was already dead. Though, Subaru kept on shooting him.

Otto felt sick, his insides getting the better of him as he threw up on the floor. Garf leapt away from him. Frederica was hugging Petra, Mimi and Tivey were sticking close to Ricardo, and the rest were staring perfectly in complete awe at Subaru's brutality.

"Sir, permission to punch it!" Adam shrieked. "Permission granted!" Subaru screamed back, his order forcing the plane to cut through another abandoned street. Not until they saw one of the yellow buildings crash into another massive skyscraper.

Everybody's eyes as one of the skyscrapers rammed into another one. "Oh, god." Al whispered to himself, the memories of his old world coming back to him. "I'm sorry you had to live through this, brother."

"What a waste." Priscilla repeated those same words behind her fan from the destruction. Though she felt entertained with the boy's combat prowess and merciless personality towards his enemies.

"How many are there!" Lugo yelled, his hands pulling the knob of the plane away to dodge another assault. "They just keep coming!"

"Doesn't matter, focus on the mission!" Subaru screamed as his weapon roared, the strange projectiles went through the glass of one of the destroyed buildings, sniping through the windows and the walls as it indirectly hit the other plane.

"He really is skilled." Reinhard muttered. Guilt forming, he wanted to protect him, but for Subaru to live through all this…how could he ever proclaim how he would protect him.

The plane flashed up…fires roaring from the inside. Their screams radiating as the fire consumed the men from the inside, their skin cracking as they slowly roasted, their screams echoing from their destroyed helicopter.

Petra fell limp in Frederica's arms. Her eyes closed, even Beatrice and Emilia felt sick from seeing these men get cooked alive. "Subaru had to do it…" Beatrice spoke into the silent theater, trying to tell the others how it had to be done, shame that she did not truly believe it. Their gazes focused onto the sleeping boy; sparks of fear ingrained in their minds from the sudden brutality.

"Kill…fucking confirmed!" Subaru cheered, his hand reaching off the minigun as he pumped his fist up. An insane glee, his smile spread ear to ear as his scary eyes focused on his burning enemies.

"He's…enjoying it" Felix mumbled to himself. Everyone's eyes and ears focused on the screen.

"What…that's not true. Subaru is good!" Emilia screamed into the crowd. Trying to convince them that this was unlike Subaru. Though sadly, the complaint went unheard.

"Big bro, he wouldn't…he saved us. There is no way he would enjoy…this!" Felt cried out. Her gaze followed the smile. Even unintentionally seeing the parallels between this Subaru and Elsa.

"Though Subaru…he is my friend, and I care. But he does." Julius shamelessly mumbled to himself.

"Shut your trap…my capn, he wouldn't." Garf stared up at the screen. Subaru, his lips curled into a smile as he watched his enemies slowly die. "He isn't like this, he's a hero…you bastards saw it!"

Wilhelm's eyes widened. He fought in the war and he knew what it did to people. His gaze focused on the boy. "Did you…Subaru. Did you get so used to it, that you began to take enjoyment?" The old man whispered.

Rem's hands were shaking as she tried to repress her anger. She knew her Subaru, her hero…they must have deserved it for her Subaru to take pleasure in cutting them down, there is no way, the man that saved her to be some ruthless killer.

"Oh shit, is that…"

"Sandstorm!"

"Oh shit!" Garf announced at the size of the sandstorm. Completely clouding the screen as everyone just stared.

"How are you going to get out of this…" The clown spoke, his voice trailing as a bright grin formed.

"They're surrounding us, what do we do!"

Everyone in the theater stared at the screen. Paying attention to the growing number of enemies that have slowly been starting to form.

"Then take us in."

"Subaru…" Beatrice spoke her contractor's name, the command causing everyone to be lost in silence.

"Did he just order…his soldiers to go into a sandstorm?" Cruish spoke, her gaze focused on the screen.

"There is no choice, he has to do what must be done, to guarantee the survival of everyone here." Al stated.

"Into the Storm, are you crazy?"

"Guess you will find out." Subaru spat right back out. His fingers wrapping around the weapon, already firing at his enemies.

The confidence of their friend mixed with the situation made them feel slightly calmer. Though, many of them like Felix and Julius still felt disturbed with the way Subaru was killing his enemies.

They approached the storm. The screen slowly changed as lightning cracked overhead; the bronze dirt clouded the screen with their dense winds. It was nearly impossible to see. Subaru kept on using his hands to stop the dust from his hands, not before he spotted something.

Emilia was the first one to react, her right hand reaching towards the screen. "Subaru!" She screamed out as she saw the object move through the screen.

"Lugo, move!" Subaru commanded. Though it was too late, the destroyed airplane that was taken out of control due to the storm slammed into them.

"Capn!" Garf cried out, Otto resting his hand on Garf's shoulder as they saw what happened to Subaru. The rest holding their faces in their hands from the wide turn of events. The carnage, the destruction…and the people that Subaru was fighting. It was all just much.

The screen went black…

"Do You Feel Like a Hero Yet, Natsuki Subaru?"

"What the hell does that mean." The young demi-human screamed at the screen. His eyes focused as his fingers curled into a fist. "My capn, is a hero!"

"No one is denying that Garf, but there are issues…"

Garf turned to his older sister as he stared at her. "He saved me...saved all of us and you are looking at him like he's some sort of monster!"

"No, we are just shaken up." Julius stuttered as he stared at the screen. Subaru's words and smile still ingrained in his head. He saw how much the boy suffered, but this…he took enjoyment from it. "Impossible…" He whispered to himself. Julius knew what Subaru was like. He knew his friend, even though he knew that he did not deserve him.

Priscilla was staring at the boy. Her gaze locking onto him as she hid behind her fan. Something was bothering her…they all saw the look that the sin archbishop of sloth had. "Your eyes, for a second looked the same." She muttered to herself as Al just simply stared at the screen waiting for it to resume.

Beatrice and Emilia were staring at the boy. "Is this the reason why you don't kill, I suppose?" The spirit whispered into his ear, Emilia listening intently right beside him. Though, she could not do anything.

Otto stared at his friend. His words reached his mind. "Kill fucking confirmed." With a matching smile as he finished the sentence. The words made Otto sick, he knew that his friend wasn't perfect, but to take pleasure in the killing was something else entirely.

Reinhard stared at the screen with his hands along Felt's shoulders. He wanted to protect him and stand by his side, he was a great man…his friend, Subaru. Though, the ache in the back of his head made him feel guilty, the way he viewed Subaru after he slaughtered those men. They were bad guys, right?

Anastasia looked at the boy. Her thoughts going into overdrive, he was skilled with those weapons and they looked strong. What would happen if her camp managed to replicate them? Such weapons would make her camp a fierce force to be reckoned with, though there was gnawing in the back of her mind.

Ricardo sighed as he stared at his boss, paying attention to the Demi-human children that were around him. He saw Subaru's life in this world, the boy never killed. Hell, he even forgave or saved the ones responsible for his death. The only real person he killed, if you could count the archbishop as a person was sloth...but even then, that man was a monster that needed to be put down.

Ricardo hugged the twins. "They must have been really bad men, for you to kill them like that." He whispered to himself, the words unintentionally heard by the twins as they remembered their big bro.

Petra was back in Frederica's arms as she softly quivered in the beast maid's hand. Her hero, she never thought that he would take a life. Even forgiving those that wronged him, though…

Ram, she felt disgusted. She knew that Subaru was not normal but that was just. She softly scratched her hands, thankful that Subaru never used return by death ever to gain revenge. If that was the monster he hid inside, she wished to never see it again.

Let us begin.

Before the occupants in the theater spoke the screen flashed once again. Subaru, him, and his squad moving through the desert wasteland as they stared at the city in the distance. Al's eyes perking up as he saw the flag on Subaru's shoulder.

"No fucking way!" He screamed as he launched from his chair, the other occupants of the theater glancing at him in surprise.

"What is it, Al?" Otto questioned as he stared at the massive man.

"Subaru, that's delta force!" He spoke the strange words as everyone else just continued staring at him.

"Delta force, is that some sort of military?" Felt asked the man. Al quickly replied quickly by nodding his head.

"They're the best of the best, prepped with the best gear and only a select few can join." Al tilted his head quickly so he could get a better view. "Never knew you worked with the Americans…"

Everybody's eyes lit up as they felt something warm in their hearts. "My hero, he really is amazing." Rem whispered to herself. "What do you expect? Betty's Subaru to not be amazing." She spoke with pride littered within her voice.

"Subaru, dunderhead…why did you not tell me?" She whispered into his ear.

Julius, Felix, Reinhard, and the rest of the royal candidates excluding the Emilia camp visibly recoiled, their gazes focusing on Julius. Sweat began to form on his brow. "Did I…just start?"

"Yes." Felix whispered in response, memories of Julius beating and degrading Subaru swirling in everyone's head. The sudden realization that Subaru's allies may very well come back for revenge shook him to his core.

"Lugo, Adam's." Subaru called their names as he removed his goggles. His gaze followed the ruined city of Dubai. "We got to keep moving."

Everybody in the theater recoiled from the sight of the great city, bigger than what they expected. "Iron, steel…none of these buildings are made out of wood, and everything looks strangely advanced." Anastasia muttered on.

"Though, what must have happened to such a great city, to be reduced to this?" Crush spoke.

"Captain, Subaru." Lugo spoke as they stretched along the desert towards the city. "Konrad, he would be proud you made it this far."

Everybody's eyes lit up from that word. "Capn, he was a real captain!" The blond demi-human spoke, his resolve affirmed with his captain as he peered at everyone. His left hand pointing to the screen.

He beamed at everyone...there gazes following the boy as they could not believe their ears. Subaru was a real captain. A true leader...

"Though, who is this Konrad?" Ricardo asked. His finger outstretched towards the screen.

"Yeah, I guess he would. He was the one that dragged my bleeding carcass to the helicopter. He's the best man I know." Subaru smirked at the thought as Adam's finally caught up with them.

A soft gasp echoed from Rem and Emilia. The thought of Subaru in danger reawakened in their memories. Though, to hear that someone came through and saved him instead of being forced to carry the burden alone. Emilia and Rem both silently thanked Konrad, for bringing Subaru to them.

"Konrad must have been a wise fellow. For you to believe in him so much." The old man whispered to himself, memories of him and Subaru together as they battled the whale.

"What's the plan, Captain." Adam spoke. Holding his massive weapon in his hands, from the prior lessons of Subaru's world they already knew what a gun was. Though, it still struck fear into them.

"We find what happened and we radio for command when we make contact with the 33rd then we radio for command. If we're lucky we will be back at base by tonight." Subaru spoke. "Though I heard what happened to Dubai I didn't imagine this."

The words resonated within all their minds. Though a question presented itself. How did Subaru get to the point at the helicopter if he was only meant to be in Dubai for a single day?

They continued walking as they approached some sort of checkpoint of sorts. They vaulted over the sandbags as Subaru's weapon rested along his chest. He gripped it with both hands as they peered over the sandbags.

Each of the three men readied their weapons as Adam's approached a lump between the sandbags. Flies coming off the rotting corpse.

Everybody grimaced as they saw the disgusting sight. The fly's pecking away at the rotting skin as they saw what remained of the man.

"Lugo, how long…"

"Subaru, he's not even affected by it." Felt spoke as she was horrified by the sight.

Julius ran his hands through his hair. "He's already been through so much; I doubt something like this could daze him."

"American soldier, 33rd." Adam's pronounced as they continued walking. His gaze locking onto the corpse. The other two surrounding it as Subaru stared down.

"We made contact with the 33rd, or what's left of it." Subaru spoke. His eyes following the end of the destroyed bridge, he walked over towards it as his ears perked up.

Cruish frowned as she stared at the black-haired knight. "Weren't you supposed to talk to your superiors, after finding one of them?"

Wilhelm stared at Subaru also. His face hardened as he did not let his emotions show, though sadly he was having a hard time keeping it together for the boy. "Subaru Dono, why did you never tell us, did you think we would never understand."

The old man knew war and the effects it had on people. Subaru always looked so happy, but after watching what he went through in their world…he knew how much of a strong mask the boy wore.

"Lugo, you hear that?"

Everybody in the viewing's ears picked up a distant sound.

"Yeah, it's distant but…"

"Get a lock on that transmission." Subaru ordered, cutting off Lugo before he could speak. "Yes, sir. About 800 yards away."

"Then we're 800 yards away from seeing who's more full of shit, you or intel." Subaru yapped as he and Adams prepared the zipline. The sudden curse caused faint chuckles to come from the audience. Mostly from Felt who rarely heard her big bro curse before, and a wide smile from Beatrice, who took joy just from seeing Subaru smile and laugh.

"Wow. If I wasn't a hardened killing machine, that might've hurt." Lugo replied, feigning sorrow as all three men went down the zipline.

The occupants in the theater began to laugh at the man. Ricardo clutching the twins tighter as everybody could tell who the "jokester" of the group was.

"Subaru, why didn't he tell us about these guys…" Petra chuckled as she spoke her thoughts out loud.

"Yeah, big bro always got the best stories!" Felt replied, remembering the tales of the half elf's knight, the one to take down the rabbit and the whale.

"I'm sure he had his reasons…" Frederica spoke, her finger playfully poking Petra's cheeks. Though her expression got serious as her and Emalia's eyes locked.

They are both thinking the same thing. These people who Subaru seemed to care for, his brothers in arms…maybe even a second family. Though, the boy never talked about them or even mentioned them.

Both girls' eyes went to the screen as they feared the worse for the trio. Though, Frederica glanced at her brother and a certain merchant boy. "You are always run-in threes?" She muttered to herself as the viewing continued.

"Think of this like a paid vacation." Subaru spoke calmly, as he calmed down the nerves of his teammates as they continued walking through the desolate streets.

"This is horrible." Anastasia spoke, disgust evident within her voice as she spat out those words. She was happy to see the inventions but…corpses and sand, littered everywhere, nearly covering the very road they walked on.

"So much sand…" Al spoke, his gaze following the screen. "How long have I been gone?" He whispered to himself. Faint tears down his face, hidden from his helmet. He has never been to Dubai, but he knew how much of a beautiful place it was.

He raised his head back to the screen. Seeing the destruction and fearing for other events that must have happened after he was summoned.

"I am sorry, my lady." Julius spoke as he saw on the screen, a spider crawling out of a lady's eye socket, the very sight making many of the viewers on screen queasy as they continued watching.

It was not just that. Decayed corpses littered the strange cars. Some even missing limbs, the camera panned towards a car which appeared empty. A dog…

"Ay, Lugo...Adams. Look, a dog!" Subaru yelled to the pair as they walked next to him.

The others on screen were shocked to see an animal out there. How could such a thing survive in the wasteland? Though for such a little thing, it brought a smile to their faces of how something could survive out here.

"You know, it's pretty cute…" Felt whispered to Reinhard as the little animal peered into the destroyed car. Trying to pull something out.

Anastasia stared at the screen. "A mabeast of some sorts?"

"No…" Beatrice shook her head. "It's just a normal animal that lives in Subaru's world. Remember, there is no magic which means no mabeast." Beatrice corrected the merchant.

"Ay, Cap." Lugo spoke as he took out a can of sorts. "Can I feed it?" He asked Subaru, a sparkle in his eyes.

Subaru glanced at Lugo then back to Adam's who just brought up his shoulders. Basically, saying how it was his call. With a wave of his hand, Subaru waved Lugo off as he quickly ran towards the animal.

Everyone in the room smiled. Knowing Subaru's answer without even commenting on it. Like what Emelia said before. "Subaru was just good." He would stop to help anyone in need, even if they didn't want his help.

Lugo outstretched an open can towards the dog. Brown fur was missing, even a small gash spread across its coat. Though…A sudden gasp echoed from the theater as the dog turned around to face Lugo. In between the dog's mouth was a human arm.

"For the dragon…" Reinhard whispered in shock as he stared at the screen.

Petra hid in Frederica's arms. While Otto and Garf just stared open-mouthed at what was going on. Some not even believing it.

Lugo, the can dropped into the sand as he and the rest leveled their weapons in front of the animal. The dog bit down deeper into the arm, the broken skin pulsating blood and yellow muck out of its bites.

It snarled at the men as it looked like it was going to attack. Priscilla, who held a rather emotionless or rather calculating expression most of the time. Could not help but grimace at the sudden sight.

Al already turned his eyes away from the horror. The twins hid in Ricardo's massive arms as he continued looking.

Cruish and Wilhelm both looked away. They were familiar with blood and took lives before, but this was something else...for such a small animal to rip a human's arm joint off to devour it due to its insatiable hunger, reminded them too much of the horrors of the rabbit.

Otto was already having a hard time. Before throwing up at the remains of Subaru's victims. His face was turned away as he struggled to not throw up the rest, knowing full well that bile would be the only thing coming out.

It ran away from the trio. Their eyes following the dog as it hid underneath the cars, the faint snaps of bone breaking as the dog began to slowly devour its meal.

"This is strange." Lugo scrambled as he visibly recoiled from the sound of the dog's chewing.

"Fuck strange." Adam's pronounced him and Subaru already walking, taking occasional glances to make sure no animals snuck up behind them. "This is out of control."

All the adults shielded the children's eyes and ears until the sounds dampened. They saw what Subaru had to go through before, but this was something else. They knew Subaru could repeat and change, sure they did not like it but that was his power.

Though this was different…there was no number of loops to fix this destroyed city or save its inhabitants. The only thing Subaru could do was keep moving forward.

They stopped in front of a machine of some sort as Lugo began working on it. Subaru and Adam's surrounding him as they kept watch. "I don't like this…" Adam muttered to himself, though it caught Subaru's senses.

"Well, I'm sorry that it isn't to your…"

"I feel like we're being watch…" Adam's interrupted Lugo.

The viewers braced themselves as they saw the outline of three men coming into view.

"Captain Subaru!" Adam braced as the three men launched themselves behind bags of sand. Hidden from view as they steadily held their weapons.

Rem and Emilia both gasped as they clutched onto the boy's hand. Garf stared at the three men as he looked at their clothing. "Strange, capn…" He mumbled to himself, the merchant boy looking to his side.

"What is it Garf?" He spoke as the rest of the viewers focused on him.

"They don't look like the bad ones."

"From the beginning?" Ricardo piped up.

Al nodded his head. "He's right. These guys are not the ones Subaru was fighting before. They wear more standard clothing; their weapons are even different."

"Though something is irking me." Anastasias mumbled as she stared at the screen. "Those guys they were fighting before, didn't they wear Subaru's uniform."

The rest of the crowd stared at the merchant. Trying to remember what happened in the beginning. "Impossible." Beatrice cut them off, a resounding silence forming. "Subaru, he would never fight with someone who he was on the same side with."

With that, the conversation was over, and everyone glanced back towards the screen. "Subaru, this could go bad really quick." Lugo spoke. "I know, Adam's tell me if you see anything we can use." Subaru shot back.

Lugo began speaking in a strange language. Deciphered on screen.

"Wait, their refugees!" Cruish spoke out loud startling the viewers.

"Seems like they survived the storm." Priscilla spoke, now entertained with Subaru and his old trio.

"Captain Subaru…" Adams spoke. Garf, getting slightly annoyed that someone already stole the nickname for his captain before him.

Adam pointed his hand over the men. The viewers glanced at what he was pointing at. One of the strange innovations, but it was full of sand. "That's sand, shoot it out and it will crush them." Adam's said.

Everybody visibly recoiled back from the sudden words. Subaru, he was going to drown these men in the sand. Al just stared on, he saw the sights of their old world and knew about war.

"Okay!" Subaru affirmed himself as he quickly shot behind cover. The metal projectiles breaking through the glass as the sand swiftly covered the three men.

"Go capn!" Garf cheered as the men were swiftly killed. Ricardo, Rem, Felt, and the rest were impressed with the way Subaru took those three men's lives.

"Garfiel…don't you have any shame."

The screen spoke as the yellow-haired demi human focused on it. "What, they were bad guys…" He pointed at the screen. "They had the balls to aim their weapons at capn!"

"All I saw was a bunch of refugees, who lost their city. Now trying to survive in a desolate wasteland. They even lumped up the 33rd with Subaru and his squad. Hell, that's the reason why they began shooting him."

The duchess spoke up. "I know, but still…Subaru had no real choice. Fight or die, and Subaru had to go for the choice that would keep him alive."

"There is always a choice. Subaru just does not realize it. If he were a better person then he wouldn't be here."

Emotion flared from the screen's words. "How the hell do you know about Natsuki Subaru, he is our hero…willing to give it all for us to just smile, as he suffered silently." Otto defended his friend. The other viewers agreed with him.

"Fine then, but I will ask you a question. Do you remember why Subaru was here?"

Ram opened her mouth to speak. "Find refugees or survivors and radio for command. Also, if they found any members of the 33rd."

The screen stopped talking as the viewing continued. Adams, Lugo, and Subaru fired off as a crowd began to form. Refugees gathering up their weapons. Adam's weapon mowing through them.

"it's crazy to think how advanced their weapons are." Felix spoke.

"Subaru's world is much more advanced than our own, so I guess it isn't surprising, though…" The spirit watched over the boy. Her gaze locking onto the nasty-eyed boy.

Subaru quickly dispatched three guys as he vaulted over the cover. His foot striking the man in his face as the rest of the gang let out a shriek of excitement from the sudden violence.

"Subaru, he really is talented." Rem spoke as she saw him strike down the enemy. Though the screen words slightly irked her, she knew her hero was right in the end.

Subaru pressed his foot along the man's neck. With a twist of Subaru's boot, his neck cracked as he fell limp.

Many in their seats wiggled uncomfortably from the brutality that Subaru experienced. Though it was precise and clean, they did not like seeing something like that.

It was Emilia that was the most affected by it...seeing Subaru, emotionless as he just snapped his neck with his foot. He did it like he was just doing a chore like it did not even impact him.

"Kill confirmed, last hostile…Adam's create a perimeter." Subaru ordered as Adam patrolled around the area.

"He really is professional." Wilhelm said as Beatrice's smile brightened. "What do you expect from Betty's contractor, a natural-born leader!" She commented.

The screen continued as Subaru looked at Lugo. "Do you detect anything?" Subaru asked Lugo. Lugo's hands went to his ear as he pressed on his earpiece.

"Captain, soldiers down there…" He pointed down the fields of sand. "Need help!"

Subaru bolted into action as the rest of the trio followed him. "Captain, shouldn't we radio for command…we found survivors."

The rest of the group in the theaters nodded their head with the statement that Adam proclaimed. Him telling his superiors about the threat would hopefully motivate more to come for them.

"No, not yet." Subaru ordered as they followed him. "We save lives, we don't wait…"

Everybody's smiles brightened. Remembrance of how far their Subaru would go to save lives. Though, a certain duchess and her warrior by her side stared at the screen.

"Why Subaru dono?" His fingers curled into a fist as he already saw Subaru's path began to slightly diverge. "Don't you need help?"

Lugo and Subaru began to climb down the mountain of sand. They saw a group of men, arms hanging around another, whose uniform visibly looked similar to the three men. "When did this become a rescue mission?" Adam whispered as he followed after the two men.

"He's right, when did it become like this?" Julius spoke out loud.

"What are you talking about Julius?" Otto pointed at the screen, face visibly showing anger. "What do you want? Natsuki, to just give up and let his comrades die!"

"Otto, that's not what Julius meant." Emilia quickly defended as she intervened. "Subaru…" Her gaze went down to the buy. Her teeth grinding together as she feared the worst for the boy.

"I apologize, Otto." He bowed as he faced the boy. "Though Subaru...that wasn't his mission. It seems to me that he disobeyed command twice. He's going on a rescue mission, without even alerting his superiors."

The rest of the group in the theater stared at the screen. Fear...festering in the back of their mind as they struggled. As they watched Subaru, the boy who they loved and respected...venture deeper into the city.
