Chapter 9: They're pretty tough, should we be careful? Pt. 1

"They don't stand a chance against us!"

"Let's show 'em what the Koopa Troop can do!"

"Look sharp, everyone! It's time to shine!"

- Bowser Junior. Prince of the Bowser Kingdom.

AN: Alright, we're officially moving into the action-heavy category.

We start the chapter with the viewpoint of the 5 loyal henchmen on the cliffside, where they'll monitor and evaluate the future Beacon Academy students.

Needless to say, their opinions range differently from person to person.

"Man, those two are really going at each other's throats." King Boo comments as he was reviewing one Ruby Rose and one Weiss Schnee, those two have been bricking ever since they met eyes. Which put a disapproving frown on King Bob-omb's face.

"What's this girl's deal with her hair being damaged?" Goomboss raised his eyebrows as he was reviewing one Yang Xiao Long, who just emotionally exploded on a bunch of Ursa. She can throw a punch, he'll give her that.

"It's the same if someone damages your mustache." King Bob-omb explained as he can fully understand that getting your pride and joy damaged, insulted, or humiliated is the worst feeling. Those are the absolute worst.

"This girl here, No...ra Val..kyrie, she reminds this one of the Red plumber." Big Bully grimaced as he watched Nora launch an Ursa into the air with a swing. Swinging a big hammer just reminds him of unpleasant memories.

"Her energy attitude aside, although… this young man… quite a useful power he got there..." King Bob-omb was watching one Lie Ren, who was using his Semblance to slowly approach a Beowolf, before using his weapon to slice Grimm's throat. "Almost as if he had hidden his own presence like a Boo. Without the invisible that is..."

"Well, attitude aside, they know what they're doing… well, most of them." Boo mused, trying to find the positive point, but ignored one blond kid who looked like a headless chicken.

"GLA GLA GLA GLA!" Petey laughed as he watched the pinky girl riding a black bear like a horse, acting like a cowgirl. He likes this girl's personality.

Boo then reviewed one Blake Belladonna, whose fighting style is mainly focused on agility and speed, and the way she moves is like a ninja. "Hmm, she's fighting like a ninja, and with that ability, she can make an afterimage to confuse the opponent?"

Goomboss raised his eyebrows as he reviewed one Pyrrha Nikos, who was fending off a horde of Beowolfs. "Impressive throw, she must have quite the experience. And the combat experience too." But then he grew puzzled when Pyrrha's Javelin flew back into her hand. What kind of power is that? Telekinesis?

Needless to say, one Jaune Arc was still standing despite 5 minutes have passed. Which made Goomboss mused in surprise & King Boo grew impatient & irate.

King Bob-omb piped in. "I believe she was the champion of Mistral's region tournament for 4 years in a row. She must be something if she achieves something like this young."

"A battle genius?" Big Bully asks.

"Talent is a more fitting term. Or that the others are just terrible. We'll just have to keep watch and see."

"Oh… this is bad… everyone, we have a fire situation." Bully suddenly speaks, earning attention from everyone. "Looked at camera 047."

They did as he said, and they saw a small portion of the forest was on fire.

"Pffffffffff, hold on, did someone seriously just set the forest on fire?" Boo spewed at the scene.

Ozpin signed as his message his temper. "And here I thought we could go a year without someone accidentally setting the forest on fire."

King Bob-omb turned his head at Ozpin with a raised eyebrow. "This wasn't the first time?" His question was ignored by Ozpin who avoided his gaze.

"Kids these days..." Goomb deadpanned as he quickly shifted to another nearby camera, and saw the fire is still fairly centralized, they'll need to act quick before it spreads. "We still have a chance to get this under control."

"Petey, do you have water Dust at the moment?" King Bob-omb asked.

The sunbathing Piranha sat up from the grass, searched his waist pouch for a moment, before shook his head affirmatively.

"Well, you're on fire-fighting duty, I'll buy you some Vale's Bakery goods for midnight snacks if you put out the fire."

Hearing there are free snacks for working, Petey salutes, before spreading out his leafy wings, flapping his arms, and flies up toward the forest… in a flappy manner that is.

Ozpin watched the scene with a tilted head. Meanwhile, the henchmen had a knowing smile. "Bet you didn't think he could do that, did you?" Goomboss asks.

Ozpin blinked a few times, apparently at a loss for words. "No… I honestly don't." In the back of his mind, he thinks. 'What else can they do?'

It was much later that week that he wished he didn't temper future back there.

(Scene Change)

We now focus back on the Koopa Royals, they have been moving around the forest in the past 8 minutes, trying to find their target, with Ludwig floating in the air every now and then to pinpoint anything unusual.

Walking in the middle of the team, Junior holds his precious paintbrush in vigilance as he pouts. "If we still don't run into any of them in 3 minutes, I'm going to set the forest on fire just to lure them out."

Many looked at their Lord, a bit taken back by his impatient and aggressive resolve, because knowing their King and the heir, what they usually say in a fit of frustration always ends up happening because they like to keep their word.

"Theoretically, that could work, but allow me to say that is a terrible idea, Lord Junior." Ludwig hesitantly raised his finger. "Not to mention WE are currently right inside this forest that you wish to set on fire."

"Then what DO you suggest we do?" The prince pouted back.

Stroking his chin, Ludwig eyeing their surroundings… only greens and more greens, not the best kind of terrain advantage they could use, lava and hidden traps were more their natural elements, or cheating… ...!

Suddenly, an idea hits him.

"Lord Junior, do you still remember how to draw a Wiggler?"

"Yeah?"

Ludwig then whispers something to Junior's ear.

Needless to say, the Koopa prince has a very mischievous grin on his face as he listens to Ludwig's plan.

- Meanwhile -

With the Huntsman and Huntress professors, they were using the time before the encounter to discuss how they're going to test their otherworldly students.

Needless to say, two out of the three Huntsman were exciting for the occasion,

"Hoo Ho! To think we'll be the first people on Remnant to test and witness otherworldly people's power, this is just fantastic!" Peter Port laughed as he scratched his limbs, preparing for the upcoming action. Become a Huntsman really is the best decision he ever made, now he's experiencing people from another world, another great tale for him to use in the future lecture.

"I know right? So far, the history and world info Mr. Bob-omb provided was fantastic, a world full of various kinds of sentient species, and very rich in landmass, continent, and environment. Not to mention the various magical resources." Bartholomew Oobleck recounts the small season he had with the Bob-omb monarch, the two exchange anything they know about both Worlds. The thoughts of having another season later the date with the Bomb monarch excited him. Needless to say, Oobleck really wishes he could explore their world.

As for Glynda Goodwitch, she would be lying if she said she was not nervous, it is not the fact that these people are from another world, but the fact they wield magic by nature, unlike Remnant, a world where everyone is capable of owning Magic.

A world where everyone is basically as powerful and capable as a Maiden, or much more superior. And perhaps, full of individuals like Ozpin.

Just the thoughts alone make her nervous.

On the premise, both sides are on a fairground, they don't know the other's power, nor the capability of their power.

While Glynda was not fond of the recent development of their life, she was still happy that Ozpin seems to be taking things seriously again after their otherworldly guest arrived on Remnant. She was starting to have her doubts when the man started being more and more withdrawing in his plan and response toward the long-time war.

Or he was just using these as a distraction to his job… The suspicion was still there, but for now, Glynda will put those aside.

After all, she has 8 students she needs to test. And speaking of which…

They're about to get into contact with them… any time.

It was when suddenly, an unknown vibration came from under the ground, all three professional Huntsman immediately were on their guard, their backs facing others, hands to their trusty weapons, eyes locked on their surroundings.

"What's this? A Grimm horde rampaging?" Port, being the Grimm study expert, feeling the frequency of the rumbling, trying to grasp the possible identity of their upcoming threat. He furrowed his brows. "This stomping feels like they're from Goliath, but there's no Goliath near this part of the forest." This confused him, Goliaths usually don't come near this part of Emerald Forest, they are usually located more souther, around the area of Mountain Glenn.

"Perhaps they're from our special guests." Oobleck threw in his cent, his thermos already transformed to the battle staff flamethrower.

Then, the sound of tree branches being snapped, and leaves rustling can be heard from one direction, the rumbling follows from the direction, getting closer and closer.

Glynda adjusts her glasses, hand clenching tight on her riding crop. "10 o'clock, get ready, you two!"

In a very tense moment, the three await for their unknown encounter to come, despite being mentally prepared and physically prepared, their expectation never prepares them for what they get.

Playing music: - Boss Battle - Super Mario Sunshine -

"Full Speed ahead! Hana-chan!" The voice of a certain Koopa prince can be heard alongside the earth-shaking rumbles.

What the professional Huntsmen met, was a giant, green, cartoonish caterpillar, big red nose that shines like a warning siren while blowing steams like an angry bull, narrowing yellow eyes that glimmering dangerously, a clenching white tooth that was scorning, visible angry vines pop up all over the head, and a white flower staying on top of its head; with a body of eight-section bod, each contains a yellow dot with an orange ring, with yellow stubby feet wearing blue shoes on both sides.

The giant bug was the culprit of the ground shaking tremor, and boy, does it look pissed.

Hanging on top of the giant caterpillar's head, one hand holding onto the white flower for balance support, was none other than Bowser Junior, who clearly was in response to this creature's existence, and behind him, riding on the caterpillar's body, was the rest of the Koopalings.

"Prepare to be defeated! Hana! Run over them!" He ordered, which the giant bug obeyed, charging full speed like a steam train at the huntsman professors.

The three Huntsmen immediately evade the giant bug by jumping out of its way.

"Oh my! What kind of beast is this?!" Port yelp in surprise and wonder, in his long life of fighting and hunting Grimms, never once did he encounter a beast quite unique like this.

"If my memory serves me correctly, that must be a variant of a bug species called Wiggler from their world. But my god! I never imagined they would be this massive!" Oobleck exclaimed, recalling the conversation he had with King Bob-omb, who was nice enough to draw him sketches of the most common species in Mushroom World.

Without wasting any time, Glynda pointed her riding corp toward a bunch of nearby rocks, moved them off the ground, and sent them toward the giant caterpillar.

Seeing the upcoming attack, the Koopalings take aim with their own magic wands, firing blasts to fend off the incoming projectile.

"Turn around and stomp!" Junior orders, and the giant Wiggler complied as it took a sharp turn, skidded to a halt and facing the three hunters, before raising its front sections up like a snake, staring down at its prey like a predator.

The two male Huntsmen quickly overcome their shock and surprise, going back to their profession, and took aim at their weapons, firing fire blasts at the giant bug's face; they would not give their enemy the luxury of attack time.

The double shots landed on the giant Wiggler's face, but to the horror of the Huntsmen, the bug tanked it like it didn't hurt or sting any bit, still gritting its teeth with the angry expression.

"You done? Now it's our turn!" Junior smugly exclaimed. As the giant caterpillar slammed its foot on the ground, creating a powerful shock wave that traveled the ground.

Clearly not expecting this and surprised, the huntsman barely dodged the powerful wave by jumping over it. But their enemy wasn't done yet.

"Mud them!" Junior ordered once more, this time the Wiggler obeyed by spitting mud goops at the hunters.

Unsure what kind of substance these muds are, the Hunters took a safe approach of evading it, not wanting to be covered by the goop like mud. Their unsaid consensus was proven correct when creatures in various colors, made of transparent slime-like bodies emerged from the goop puddle, with dopey eyes and bud-like hair on top of their head, a ball of mud located in the center of their body.

"Round up them!" Junior orders.

The slime-like creature looked around sluggishly, then started advancing toward the hunter as they followed the order, hoping toward the Huntsmans.

Thankfully, they were fairly slow like slugs, but the hunters still don't want to get sprayed by those goops.

"We have to take out this beast first!" Blasting those slime-like creatures left and right, Port exclaimed, having his expectation exceeded in such short timing by the creature, it would be foolish of him to let the beast continue its rampage.

But of course, the problem is how? How exactly do they stop this beast, it seems like it can take quite a beating.

Luckily, Glynda was here to buy them some times.

The witch of Beacon whipped her riding crop, effortlessly pulling the goop piles off the ground. So semblance still works on these things. Smiling to herself, Goodwitch gathers and compresses the goop into a sphere, and with a point of her weapon, she sends it back toward the owner.

The turn of tide took Junior by surprise, but he quickly composed himself, changed the Dust chamber of his weapon, swung his paintbrush horizontally, and painted a temporary barrier of ice paints just in time to counter the goop cannonball. "Oh no you don't!"

After blocking the returning fire, the instinct that was trained with the BFF incident kicked in, "Dodge!" Junior ordered Hana to move away, which saved them from an electric Dust shot Port fire at them.

Sparring a glance at his creation, Junior knows he doesn't have much time before Hana starts to dissolve back into paints. Sucks to not have any Power Star or Moon or Shine Sprite at his disposal. His creation could only stay alive for long without any outside power source, and the 2 minutes timing is almost up.

Making his order again, Junior told Hana to just run over them, to buy them more time. "Alright, abort the train!" He relayed his order to the Koopalings.

He doesn't need to say more, they jump off the Wiggler, their magic wand already drawn, and open firing magic blasts at the hunters, while the giant Wiggler uses the distraction to run over them.

Glynda, already anticipating a coming attack, uses her semblance to command another group of rocks to block the incoming fire.

Using the moment of chance created by Glynda, Port switches his Dust ammo to earth, and slams his axe-blunderbuss on the ground with great might, creating a giant stone mound, right underneath the giant bug's belly, successfully knocking the giant caterpillar off rail and flipping over, crushed and knock down a few trees in its path.

After the giant bug train stopped down, the crushed caterpillar's legs twitched a few times, before its body dissolved and collapsed into a large pile of mud goop, sinking into the floor.

"Well, that takes care of that." Oobleck adjusted his round glass, before focusing back toward their opponents.

"I have to say, that was certainly an impressive first impression of your ability, Mr. Junior." Port stroked his mustache as he praised the Koopa Prince's unique ability.

"Hehe! That's what you get, cause I'm the best!" Junior smirked haughtily as he held his head high.

"Quite, but onto the business, how do you plan on taking your passing object?" Port asks as he shows them an object hanging around his waist, an object the size of a tennis ball. In fact, all three of the Huntsman professors have the same object hanging around their waist. "Cause I'll be honest with you lads, we never plan on making it easy for you." Port finishes, shooting them a small apology look.

Junior shrugged as he puck his ear. "Ehh, we'll just beat you all up, then take all three thingys, and pass the exam.

This answer proves to be not what any of them were expecting. "Ehh?"

"Rule no.4 of Bowser Kingdom: Never back down from a challenge! Face it with everything you got, and win it no matter what!" Junior pointed his paintbrush at the professors. "Defeat is never an option!-"

"-And neither is giving up!" The Koopalings followed as they took a battle stance.

The huntsmans looked among each other, before the edge of their lips curved upward slightly. It would seem that they really got an interesting bunch of students here.

"Ho Ho! That's truly some admirable determination, then allow us to put those words to test!" Port happily declares, finding their high spirit likable, already has a good first impression with his future students.

"Bring it, old man!" Junior taunts excitedly.

Playing music: - Tough Guy Alert! (Mashup) [Mario & Luigi: B.I.S. × Mario & Luigi: B.I.S. + Bowser Jr.'s Journey] -

Automatically, both sides draw out their weapon and lock their eyes on the others.

A tense silence took over the atmosphere, only the sound of leaf rustling echoes in the air. And then…

"NOW!" Junior yelled, he charged ahead, with Lemmy, Morton, and Ludwig followed right behind.

The one that comes forward to meet their assault is Oobleck, with a trail of green afterimage behind him, who unfolded his weapon to club mode, and facing their upcoming strike. His weapon first clashed with Junior's brush, before he pushes Junior to the side effortlessly, quickly deflect Lemmy's twirling baton throw, before moving his hand to the trigger, and fire a small shot at Morton's face, who was preparing to smash his hammer to the ground, thus stunned and prevent him from swinging his hammer, and then with a swift movement and precision, Oobleck parried Ludwig's rapier strike and pushed the Koopaling back. All in a single swoop.

Catching his breath and balance, Ludwig bit down a curse. He's fast, really fast.

Meanwhile, Oobleck simply adjusts his glasses, before folding his weapon back to the thermos and taking a quick chug of his life-saving brews, looking super relaxed and at ease.

Getting back on his feet, Junior dashed toward Oobleck, fully intended to get some cheap shot on the man that's wide open, there's no rule and honor among the battlefield, only winner, and Junior is determined to be the winner of the day. Twirling his brush, Junior strikes again, only to have his attack blocked and deflected again effortlessly by Oobleck. Earning a gritting tooth and grunt for the royal Koopa.

"Woah, he's fast." Larry exclaimed as he watched the clashes with the corner of his eyes.

"Focus, incoming attack!" Wendy berated Larry, they have a much more urgent priority at the moment. Across them, Goodwitch was using ice Dust to fire icicle spears at them.

"Larry, do your thing!" Roy orders as he fist-bumped his knuckles, and smashed the ground, lifting a wall of dirt in front of them to block the icicle rain. Following his brother's order, Larry used Roy's shoulder as a pedal, jumping high in the air, before spitting out a big fireball, and striking the fireball toward his target. "Powerrrrrr SHOT!"

The ball of fire homings toward Goodwitch like a falling meteor, knowing she can't evade it in time, Glynda immediately forms a shield of purple glyphs to block the attack.

Imagine her surprise when the fireball pushes her back, almost knocking her off balance, leaving a trail of scorched grass and dark star bits on her push-back path.

"I'm not done yet!" Larry takes out a tennis ball and throws it up, breathing a large amount of fire on the ball, before holding his racket with both arms, and smashing it with all his might. "Dragon… SHOT!"

The fireball tore through the sky like an actual dragon, with the flames taking the shape of a wyvern, on a collision course with a distracted Goodwitch. In the last moment, Port manages to switch to water Dust just in time, he quickly aims and fires a giant ball of water to counter the giant fireball, just in time to protect Glynda.

The two opposite elements collide together, resulting in a big explosion and lots of steam, blocking their vision.

Seeing all the steam floating in the air, Ludwig sees an opportunity they could use. Holding his rapier-like a conductor baton. With a swing, Ludwig unleashes a storm of blizzard with ice Dust to freeze all the steam. "Guys! Fall back!" He yelled, just loud enough for the rest of the Koopas to jump back in line.

Freezing the steam, Ludwing going all the way, nearly emptying his ice Dust, makes a huge temporary ice wall, wide enough to separate the two sides, hopefully to stall their enemy long enough for him to form a plan right on spot.

'We really are put in a bad spot, not downright horrible, but handicapped enough to limit us from obtaining this victory casually.' Ludwig eyeing the ice wall once more, before shifting his attention to the rest of her siblings. 'We really didn't have much time to prepare for this exam. That's why we must level the ground even in order to win. Cheating or not.' He reached his hand to his pocket, pulling out a small deck of cards.

Recalling the report of Goomboss and Big Bully, Goodwitch has astonishing control over her telekinesis power, if she were to restore the demolished arena by just a swipe of her arm, which Ludwig just had his fair share of the first-hand experience. "Ok, so far, Goodwitch's ability is the most troublesome of the three, we need to take her out first." Ludwig said. 'The other two still possessed enough threat, just not as troublesome as Goodwitch.'

Having his fair share of combat experience, Roy huffed. "Does that seem possible at the moment to you? They're really good at countering our attack, especially stern-face."

Ignoring the insulting-like nickname Roy just gave Goodwitch, Ludwig replies. "Precisely, that's why we must separate them." Ludwig then looked at their over-enthusiasm & hyperactivity sibling. "Iggy, can you teleport her away?"

"Baa haa haa! That depends on how far you want me to send her." Said Koopaling fiddling with his magic wand.

"Enough to not let her regroup with the other two professors."

"Sure, piece of cake."

As if he suddenly gets an idea, Ludwig leans in and whispers something to his young brother. Iggy's face perks up when he hears the content Ludwig is elaborating, he then gives Ludwig a cackle and a thumbs up.

"Then it is decided, Me, Wendy, Larry & Roy will take Miss Goodwitch. Lemmy, Morton, Iggy, you three will assist Lord Junior in taking down Mr. Port & Oobleck. Iggy, I'm counting on you to teleport her and us away."

But of course, this patchwork of a plan just couldn't sail smoothly without a reef to bump it. "Hey! Since when are you making the final calls? I wanna fight her!" Cause that said reef happens to be Lord Junior himself.

Roy stomped his leg, clearly starting to get upset with Junior claiming all the good fight to himself. "Dang Nabbit, could you stop hogging all the fun? You're not the only one that's doing the fighting!"

"Cut it off, you two, now is NOT the time!" Wendy deadpanned, oh joy, they couldn't go about a month without these two bricking, especially right in the middle of battle.

Swallow down his displeasure and push aside his frustration, Ludwig tries to reason with Junior. "Lord Junior, please, think for a second, Goodwitch here could telekinesis your paint goop around like they're nothing, your fighting style goes ill against her, and she seems to be doing a really good job a keeping us at bay."

Unable to deny the fact that Ludwig had a reasonable point, gritting his teeth, Junior pouted. "Alright, fine, but once we're enrolled, I want my 1 on 1 with her."

Forcing a straight face, Ludwig compiled. "That… I'm very certain we can arrange it with Mister Ozpin." Little do they know they might have just doomed Goodwitch...

"Good."

Unbeknownst to Bowser Junior, aside from Roy, they all sigh in relief, mentally that is.

Imagine if they failed because Lord Junior didn't want to cooperate? Yeah, that's not going to end well for anyone, including this planet. Stars know that their master's wrath holds no bounds. (Keyword: FURY.)

Not wanting to upset Prince Junior, Ludwig suggested. "Lord Junior, I believe now it's the perfect timing for you to paint another Boss Minions."

"!" Realizing Ludwig is right, Junior immediately starts scribbling on the ground. "You're right, thanks for the reminder, I had just the perfect scribble in mind!" Just like that, Junior's attention was shifted.

Shifting the attention, Ludwig ordered. "Alright, we only have one shot, Lemmy, I want you to use your clone to occupied Port and Oobleck, if possible, blocking their vision about Goodwitch."

"Roger that." The jester Koopaling salutes, and with a poof, 3 more Lemmy appears beside the real Lemmy, each holding a smoke bomb in hand.

"Morton." Ludwig called, earning Morton's attention.

"Yes?" Showing a rare moment of seriousness, Morton pays attention.

"Smash, keep them busy, and assist Lord Junior." That was all Ludwig had to order.

"MORTON WILL DO HIS BEST TO SMASH!"

Turning to the third child, Ludwig faced Roy. "Roy, how good are you at breaking boulders?"

"You joking? These arms haven't slacked off a single day ever since they were born." The sunglasses brawler flexes his muscles with pride.

"Then I want you to hurl as many rocks and counter them with Goodwitch, keep her busy, distract her, anything that goes. She may be able to hold multiple obstacles, but she must put her focus on it in order to do so." Ludwig reasons with a sounding theory… or so he hopes. 'I just hope I'm right with my understanding of her ability...' Ludwig can't be helped by gulp mentally, they will be in deep water if he was wrong.

"Should I do the cloning to occupied Miss deputy?" Wendy asks, seems to understand the big picture of Ludwig's plan.

Ludwig shook his head. "Not now, at least not till we teleport her away. So far, their understanding of our magic and ability is only limited to what we showed, we still have the element of surprise here. We'll overwhelm her once the chance comes. Now, we best hold onto those trumps."

"So we're going to split up, aren't we? Are you sure that's a good idea?" Lemmy asked, a bit worried. "We won't be able to help you if you're losing, you know."

"Bahaha! What he said." Iggy pointed out.

Furrowing his brow, Ludwig replies. "We had to at least try it."

"LUDWIG WORRIED TOO MUCH, WE'LL CLAIM VICTORY WITH LORD JUNIOR!" And like that, Morton being the rare voice of reasons, again.

"See, even Morton here gets it. Ya worry too much, Luddy." Roy smirked as he jerked a thumb at Morton.

Shivering in discomfort because of THAT nickname, Ludwig replies. "Alright, I get it. Just don't call me that."

"Ohh yeah! It is done! Rise! My masterpiece!" And Bowser Junior exclaimed happily as he just finished painting a pile of white goop.

- Meanwhile… with the Bowser Kingdom Henchmen

"Unacceptable! This is totally unacceptable!" Cries King Boo, who was clearly in some form of distress, about something.

This something he is uproar about, is the Boss Minion painting that Bowser Junior had painted.

A duplication of King Boo, the frightful face of your genetic ghost pale with a set of eyes that stare straight down your very soul, and a bottomless mouth with jagger teeth that could seriously wound anyone should you be unfortunate enough to be bitten by it… at least that was what it was supposed to be… but it would seem that we encounter a little malfunction over the painting process… the body and crown were right, except… the face isn't, and many parts...

Instead of the iconic face every Boo had, this King Boo duplication's brows are straight instead of the usual W-shape, blue eyes instead of the pitch-black void, slit black pupils that resemble frogs, and long coiled tails instead of the usual short tail.

Yep, it would seem that Bowser Junior still hasn't remembered how Boo looked exactly, or how King Boo looked, whichever both sound equally bad for a certain henchman.

And the said ghost royal was cowering on the floor, crying rivers, a visible black cloud floating above him, that's not how he looked like, no, he won't accept it, never never NEVER!

"Sheesh, get a hold of yourself. This is not the end of the world." Goomboss deadpanned as he looked at the depressing silhouette of their over-emotional ghost friend.

"Well, I would give that drawing a 70, it still has room for improvement." King Bob-omb stroked his magnificent mustache as he inspected the paint King Boo came to life.

"This one wonders if Master Junior remembers what a Bully looked like..." Big Bully put his hand to his chin as he mused. Would Bowser Junior draw the black sphere body with upward horns? Or the blue bell-like body with forwarding horns? After all, depending on the habitat area Bully lives in, the look changes.

And yes, they aren't bothered or even care about the none-accurate split image of King Boo that was drawn by Bowser Junior, they don't care, which hurts the Boo monarch's pride even more.

"I HATE you guys!"

Standing at the sides, Ozpin watched their interaction with a raised eyebrow.

- Anyway… back to the Huntsman professors & challenging students.

All hell was let loose when the ice wall broke, immediately the broken pieces were coated by a purple energy, indicating that these ice are indeed under Goodwitch's control.

Much to the Deputy's confusion, the koopalings and Bowser Junior did not move away from the incoming projectile, instead, they stood their ground and took the attack head-on.

And the ice cubes bounce off a cyan force field around their body, rendering the attack useless.

"Now!" Ludwig yelled, as he and his siblings sprint ahead of their enemies.

Lemmy and his clones throw their smoke bomb ahead, before changing direction toward Port & Oobleck.

With the visual barrier created by Lemmy, Roy started hurling any rocks he could find toward the smokescreen.

Larry & Wendy followed right behind Ludwig, with Bowser Jr and Morton sprinting toward Port & Oobleck.

Meanwhile the paint King Boo and Iggy were nowhere in sight.

Seeing the attack bounce off them harmlessly was not what the Huntsman professors were expecting, as they expressed surprise on their faces, the result put a smile on Ludwig's face.

As he charged toward Goodwitch, Ludwig replayed his earlier analysis through his mind again.

'Knowing her ability, the first thing Goodwitch could do is probably send the ice debrief back to us.' He theories in his mind, imagine themselves being distracted by the ice debrief rain. 'And after that, Oobleck could use the distraction to strike us, which leads to Port finishing us with a heavy strike.' And then Oobleck strikes them from a blind spot, with Port taking them out with perhaps a powerful Dust strike.

Of course, this is the worst-case scenario, and Ludwig builds their counter-plan based on this worst situation.

Since they were separated from their kingdom, they don't have any special Items with them, Sleep Sheep, Boo Sheet, Repel Cape, not even the simplest item like Fire Flower or POW Block. Either one of these items would be enough to immediately turn the tide, that's why they're so handy for any situation.

Sparing a glance at his pocket, Ludwig thanks the Star Spirits for their luck. 'Never thought I would need to use these again.' In his pocket, were his special made Battle Cards, and with it, it greatly boosts his confidence to obtain their victory.

'I need to be careful to not let them find this tool, if they know how these cards work, all would render useless.' He recalls that one event where another parallel Mushroom Kingdom from a book merges with their reality, and how they got their butt kicked by Two Marios and a Luigi. (Self Note: Never reveal your trump card at the beginning of the battle.)

As useful and wide-ranged the Battle Cards are, if you couldn't land a hit on your enemy, without Star Points, these cards are as useless as an incomplete set of poker cards, and Ludwig certainly learned his lesson in a painful way. Being flatten into papers, then being struck by an almost inhuman brutal force… that was a super painful experience. Just recalling the event makes him shiver in discomfort.

Anyway, the attacks they threw earlier had earned them a total of 4 points, and he knew just the card to use for the counterattack.

Focusing back on his target, Ludwig raises his rapier and strikes down on Goodwitch, who was distracted by the rock rain Roy was providing.

Sadly for Ludwig's pride, things were not that easy, Goodwitch was able to catch his strike with the corner of her eyes; she quickly directed the rocks sent by Roy onto them.

But the same can't be said for Ludwig's cunning. As himself, Larry and Wendy suffer no damage from the rock dump, the cyan barrier protects them once more, before breaking apart and shattering into sparkling dust.

First step, check.

Immediately, as if on cue, a white shadow looming over the distracted Goodwitch.

She was sharp enough to turn around in time to face her attacker.

The paint King Boo stares down on Goodwitch, drooling as it smiles sinister at her, before the wide mouth opens up revealing Iggy inside Boo's oral cavity.

"Baa haa haa! say cheese!" Without missing a beat, Iggy pointed his wand at Goodwitch.

*Poof*

It was then Goodwitch found her world turning white.

Second step, checked.

As Glynda was teleported away, Iggy pointed his wand at the rest three. "Baa haa haa! No doubt she'll be pissed, have fun!"

*Poof*

And with that, three Koopalings were teleported.

"Hey! Don't forget me!" Roy runs up from behind.

"Baa haa haa! Of course!"

*Poof*

Third step, checked.

Meanwhile, from the sidelines, a pair of busy Port & Oobleck that was occupied by Lemmy & clones with Junior & Morton haven't realized that Glynda was separated from them.

Looking back at the battling group, Iggy chucked. "Heh, today's is getting more and more interesting!"

Port & Oobleck

- At the launch pad cliffside, with Ozpin and the Henchmen.

The cyan barrier the royal Koopa used caught Ozpin's interest, as he believes that to be the work of magic. A magic effect activated by what appears to be magic cards.

'Interesting, the barrier functioned like Hard-light Dust, even having the same cyan color.'

Shifting the cameras, Ozpin takes note of each of them's own unique power, Lemmy's cloning magic, Larry's magic tennis, Iggy's teleportation magic, he hasn't seen the power of the rest, but he's positive that he's about to be surprised very soon.

- Meanwhile, far away from where they were.

One Glynda suddenly poofs into existence, before realizing what has transpired. Despite her experience as a Huntress, their unorthodox plan and methods clearly outwit their common sense.

In her mind, the moment she breaks open the ice wall, they're mostly going to strike back with some sort of surprise attack. It is only rational logic, but she clearly has failed to anticipate the surprise.

God, give her a break, ever since their otherworldly guests showed up on Remnant, Glynda herself wasn't sure how much craziness and difference she can take before her mind gave up, she would really prefer her life being simple and maybe just a little bit more easier. She already has enough on her plate.

And speaking of her burden, here they come.

Opposite of her, her challengers have arrived at their destiny in the same manner, each holding their weapon tightly in hand.

Glynda adjusts her glasses, looks like this will be a battle where she won't be holding back.

Story… resume.

The up-rising huntsman-in-training from all across Remnant, plus the otherworldly guests from Mushroom World, have begun their entry exam, and everything was going just as Ozpin hoped.

But little did he know… that fate has a different mind in store for one particular batch of his future students.

- Around one corner of the Emerald Forest...

In this particular empty spot of the forest, the air and space were suddenly distorted by an outside force, a simple black line drew out the shape of a rectangle, then the line shrank back to the center like a black hole, while not devouring the space and time, it makes the air and space wavy like a water ripple. It all happens so fast that one could easily miss it.

When the ripple wears off, a humanoid shape of a person shows up at the center of the disturbance.

"Hmmm, the gentle breeze of the spring, the energetic of the young warrior, and the ever-looming presence of the endless darkness. My my, this world certainly is unique like no others." Mused the man in his purple & yellow jester outfit, the smile cut hole on his monochrome mask stretched ever slightly like an actual mouth.

Looking around, our mysterious friend crossed his arms and put a finger on his mask. "And now, here I am, at the stage of this new play, I wonder… What kind of entertainment can I or should I bring?" Wonders the man as he tilted his head.

Then he heard the noise of gunshots and fighting. Looking towards the source, he smiled.

"Ahh haha, but of course, I am, but a simple sideshow, the spotlight is not on me, my purpose lies with interacting with the main character. And interact I shall. After all, what's a good story without a twist?" And with a snap of his finger, the man is gone.

For those that are wondering, Hana-chan is the Japanese name for the Wiggler, and since the Wiggler Boss in Super Mario Sunshine never receives any official name other than Boss Wiggler, and it's named literally Boss Hana-chan in Japanese, I decided to give it its JP name in this story for the sake of a name, plus it giving Junior a small character build, given he likes to scribble and painting, I imagine as any child would, he must have had names for his drawing or creation.
