"Huh?" Was all I uttered out.
The last thing I saw was my children and grandchildren surrounding my bed in a hospital room before I fell into a deep sleep... so why is there a girl in white robes with wings and halo in front of me saying I can reincarnate?
"Aren't you happy? You're welcome! Alright, so now we can start the process!" The girl continued rambling on.
"Wait." I called out but she ignored me and continued talking.
"Reito Yamamoto Hiden! You have died at the tender age of 99! And now you also have a chance to start a new life! Great!"
"You have lived a full life fighting through schools, universities, even wars and managed to start a family of your own and lived long enough to see your grandchildren!"
"Hey!" I called to her, louder than before but she still ignored me.
"Since you're gonna get reincarnated into another world, you'll have all the knowledge and skills you've gained throughout your past life!"
"When you reincarnate, you will have the body of an 18 years old but retain your mind and soul! How convenient!" She stated optimistically.
And I'm still trying to call out.
"So how does it feel to be young again? Great, right? You can thank me again for that, isn't that the best feeling?"
"HEY!" I shouted out, her excessive ignorance to my calls is starting to piss me off.
"And as expected from an old ma-" She was about to talk on but I felt a vein bulge in my forehead before I literally punched the girl into the air, not caring if I drew out blood.
I also realized my body is not the same old and frail body that of an old man, but now that of a teenager or even a young adult. How strange.
"YOU'RE SO GODDAMN ANNOYING! NOT EVEN GIVING ME A CHANCE TO SPEAK, AND EVEN TALKING ABOUT 'ME' WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!" I shouted.
"FIRST OF ALL, WHERE THE HELL AM I?!" I demanded, glaring at the girl.
"D-d-d-did you just punch me..?!" She stammered, spitting out blood.
"Are you THAT dumb?! OF COURSE I DID!" I retorted heatedly as the girl looked at me in shock.
"First of all, you would punch a GIRL?!" She questioned, shock lacing her tone.
"OF COURSE I WOULD! I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT GENDER!" I shouted in return.
"SO I'LL ASK AGAIN! WHERE! AM! I?!"
"Al-alright... you don't have to worry about that." Said the girl before light surrounded her as she floated off the ground.
"In here, there are no humans, just us; the nice angels! This is 'God's Domain'. Before you is the one and only great and beautiful God!" Declared the winged girl.
"I am God! I am the Creator of All Things!" She ended her introduction.
I felt nothing at that proclamation so I only uttered one thing.
"Eh?" I responded, not giving a shit if I punched "God" in the face.
"W-w-why aren't you surprised..? Well, it would have been funny for you to be shocked." Muttered "God" before smiling at me.
"Anyway! Doesn't matter because you will now be reincarnated into another world and live there! From then on, you will start your second life!" She stated.
"Huh? Wait, what? Another world?" I repeated, eyes wide at her.
"Why?" I asked, I would have been fine with just sleeping forever, why make me go through another round of life?
"T-that's because you're the chosen one!" The "God" announced.
"Ah?" I uttered out a sound of confusion but she continued explaining.
"We are currently beyond the walls of the worlds. There are only a few spirits that can pass to other worlds. The wall is an important thing, it shows where the spirit goes."
"Your soul was special and bounced up, thus giving you a second chance at life! You had the strength to withstand the wall, that's why I'm giving you a second chance!" She stated.
"Okay." I said, piecing everything together.
"Your body has been returned to its prime! All of your senses have returned to top notch! And your soul will be transferred to another world!"
"It's a blessing and a miracle! You are one out of all the million, millions to be chosen as a new hero! Congratulations!" Declared the girl once again.
"...Alright. For the time being, I'll believe your story..." I began, sighing.
"So let's say my soul gets through the other world, what do you intend to do to me?" I questioned seriously, gazing at "God" who looked at me seriously as well.
"Nothing, why?" She replied in an earnest tone.

"DON'T PLAY WITH THE DEAD LIKE THEY'RE YOUR TOYS!" I shouted, grabbing "God" by the head and holding her up with a death grip.
"WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! LET ME EXPLAIN THE REASON FOR YOU BEING HERE! SO PLEASE STOP HOLDING MY HEAD!" The girl shouted in return, trying to pry my hand off her head.
"I LIVED! FOR A SATISFYING 99 YEARS! AND YOU! ARE PISSING ME OFF! I DON'T WANT A NEW LIFE OR TO BE A NEW PERSON!" I shouted again.
"I WONDER. WHAT'S A GOOD REASON FOR YOU TO REDO MY EXISTENCE LIKE A TOY!"
"J-j-just give me a second to say something..!" She yelled at me and I finally relented, dropping her unceremoniously to the ground.
"The truth is... Reito-san, this world you've been reincarnated into, I'd like you to help me change it." Stated "God".
"Change it?" I repeated, raising my brow.
"Yes. When we began the creation of this world, we neglected to thoroughly evaluate and examine the balance of the existence. So which we precariously and accidentally created a being called..."
"The Honkai." The girl stated.
"Honkai?" I said the word, trying to find a definition for it but my mind ended up blank.
"Yes, Honkai are malicious energy and beings that always exist within a place or world as long as the source is there."
"Every once in a while, when the Houkai breaks out, it is irregular and very unpredictable, making it highly dangerous."
"It has manifested in the past as a plague, meteors, volcanic activity and currently as a horde of beasts."
"However, I won't dwell on the explanation for too long since you can find the knowledge in the world."
"Reito-san, you are about to go to a place similar to your old world, it's just like Earth except with a bit more... advancements. However, it's getting worse with the Honkai outbreaks."
"There have been almost several wars with each of them having a perpetrator behind it, they are like puppeteers, they control from the shadows and watch the results."
"Oh, really? THEN LET ME SEE THEM!" I demanded, grabbing the girl's head and trying to grind her into a pulp.
"ACK! STOP! YOU'RE GOING TO CRACK MY HEAD! IT HURTS!" She exclaimed before I dropped her again as she panted for air.
"Weren't you going to stop unless I explained everything?" The "God" muttered, whispering how she was going to die.
"Yes I was, but you piss me off with all your cryptic speaking and shits." I retorted heatedly.
"Anyway, the reason you were specifically chosen is merely by chance. There are a lot of souls that come in... but they don't want to reincarnate."
"Wouldn't blame them though..." I murmured under my breath.
"We are currently trying to persuade the deceased souls with benefits to help us but many if not, all the results were negative." The girl said pessimistically.
"I wanted to at least be able to send one person to this world in order to help them, which is when you come in. But even so... it takes time." The "God" said, looking at me.
"In other words, I would like to personally ask you a favour, that favour of being to go to the other world and save it." She announced.
"...Well, I know the general problem now which is that of the Honkai and the perpetrators, but I have nothing to do with it-" I said but was cut off.
"I ONLY HAVE YOU, REITO-SAN! ONLY YOU CAN CHANGE THIS WORLD!" The girl shouted, jumping onto me.
"HUH?!" I exclaimed, trying to push her off.
"PLEASE! I ALREADY REINCARNATED YOU! THINK ABOUT ALL THOSE GOOD AND WEAK CITIZENS OF THE WORLD! THE WOMEN! THE INFANTS!" She shouted with comical tears.
"...So? Spill the truth." I demanded, not fooled by her acts.
"We were trying to persuade the other dead souls but we ultimately decided to pick the useless and old you, it was a troublesome process." She answered with a cheeky grin and tongue sticking out.
I lost all my respect for "God" that day as I gripped her by the head again with a raised fist.
"I-I'M SORRY! IT'S A JOKE! A JOKE! IT'S A JOKE!" She shouted, flailing her arms around.
"Ok... if you are GOD... couldn't you stop the Honkai yourself? You did create them in the first place." I sighed in annoyance.
"Well... it's complicated, but I COULD give YOU the powers to rule the world and change it!" The girl proclaimed with a smirk.
"I DON'T WANT TO RULE THE WORLD!" I immediately silenced her thoughts.
"Oh! Right, right! Sorry! So um... ah!" The "God" racked her head before realizing something.
"It seems that you were quite a technician and inventor in your previous life! You even created a small company for your inventions and with your sons and daughters!"
"Hm... it started off as something simplistic and cheap but it then became a high-tech leveled and almost futuristic machineries." I muttered, not correcting the girl since she's right.
"So how does it sound? The world you're going to also has much more technological advancements, so maybe try filling up your new life with excitement?"
"Hm... that's, well, that's true. You got me interested in the technology part..." I began as the "God's" eyes shone.
"Then-" She began but I cut her off, not finished with my part.
"But it's still not enough." I stated as she looked at me dumbly.
"Let's see... I want a cheat ability, not enough to go apeshit and rule the world, I want an ability that benefits my interest and life so I can keep going." I declared with a smirk.
"Well... you don't have to worry about that but..." The girl said uncertainly before she plopped down on a chair that appeared from nowhere.
"Never mind that! This was to be expected to save the world since I'm God after all!" She said with a grin before looking at me.
"Okay then, Reito-san." She began as I looked at her.
"What type of ability do you want?" She asked as I smirked.
