Tessa just froze as she just stared at the baby not knowing whether she had heard that right or not. "Mal did you just call me mama," Tessa asked the baby as she was still trying to process whether she had heard right.

Mal just giggled as she nodded her head and pointed to Tessa again. "Mama! Mama! Mama!" The small baby screamed out excitedly while giggling and clapping her hands making Tessa smile as she couldn't help herself.

Mal had just called her mama. "Oh my gosh! I did hear that right! You think I'm your mama," Tessa told the baby who stopped giggling as she started crying thinking she had upset Tessa.

Mal didn't mean to upset her, she just felt a connection to Tessa. Tessa was warm and loving and something inside of her was making her feel like she could trust her. "Aw no Mal it's okay. I'm so sorry. I'm not mad I promise. I think it's cute that you want to call me mama. Please don't cry," Tessa told the small girl in her gentle voice as soon as she saw the baby start crying.

Tessa hadn't meant to make Mal think she was mad about her calling her mama. She was just in shock. She had known Mal for less than a day and the baby had already started calling her mama. Not to mention Tessa was only 17.

Despite all that it shockingly didn't feel wrong for Mal to call her mama in fact it was like something deep inside her almost expected it. Tessa didn't understand why she felt that way, but figured it was probably just the strong bond she formed with Mal already that was making her feel that way.

The small baby just looked up at Tessa as if trying to decide whether to trust her or not, but finally after a few more seconds the crying stopped as Mal just reached for Tessa again. "Mama!" Mal called out again making Tessa laugh as she unbuckled Mal and picked her up.

"Aw you're so cute, but for real Mal we have to get you some baby stuff because you can't live off nothing," Tessa told the baby as she hugged her one more time before buckling her back into her carseat and getting into the car as she drove to the baby store.

Mal just giggled as she looked out the window getting a view of the outside. She wasn't used to seeing all this, especially since that resort was pretty much all she had known as she had been born in that resort and had lived there with her mean mommy her entire life.

She couldn't help but look at it all in awe. "Aw Mal are you enjoying the sight seeing," Tessa playfully asked the baby who just giggled as she nodded her head making Tessa laugh as she continued to just drive with Mal just staring out the window in awe the entire time.

"Alright cutie we're here. Come on let's get you some stuff," Tessa told the purple haired baby as she parked the car and opened up the door making Mal look up at Tessa as she smiled and squirmed. "Mama!" Mal screamed out again making Tessa laugh as she couldn't help it.

She loved the feeling of seeing the small baby so excited to see her. "Aw come here cutie!" Tessa playfully told the baby as she unbuckled her and picked her up, making Mal smile as she laid her head down on Tessa enjoying the warm and safe feeling she got from her.

"Alright come on let's go," Tessa told the baby as she entered the baby store and grabbed the cart as she then placed Mal into the seat connected to the cart.

"Okay so what kind of things do babies need exactly," Tessa asked herself as she just looked around the store cluelessly having no idea what she even needed as she wasn't really experienced with babies.

Finally Tessa's silent prayers were answered when a mother of 3 noticed Tessa and her conflicted look. "Aw new mom huh," the older lady told Tessa with a smile making Tessa laugh as she nodded.

"Yeah but I see you're definitely not," Tessa told the lady who had a baby in the cart and two kids standing next to her, making her laugh as she nodded.

"Yeah no definitely not. I've been through that 3 times already. You're stuck aren't you," the mom asked Tessa who nodded again. "Yeah to be honest I don't really know what I need for her. Could you help me," Tessa asked the lady who smiled as she nodded.

"Yes of course here let me just make you a list. Okay and there we go. Now as long as you get all the stuff on this list you should be all set," the mom told Tessa as she finished the list of all the supplies Tessa would need as she handed the list to Tessa.

"Oh my gosh you don't even know how much that helps. Thank you so much," Tessa told the nice lady, making her laugh. "Of course if you need any more help just let me know. I still have a lot more shopping to do so I should still be here, but if not the workers here are very helpful trust me," the lady told Tessa who just smiled again.

"Yes of course will do anyway it was nice speaking to you and again thank you for the help, but I really should start looking for these supplies," Tessa told the kind lady, making her laugh again as she nodded. "Of course I should go anyway. I wish you luck," the lady told Tessa as she left with her three kids to go shopping some more leaving Tessa to her shopping.

Tessa managed to find everything she needed but it wasn't easy as Mal just wanted to touch everything she saw that even remotely had purple, strawberries, or dragons on it.

Tessa just laughed as she couldn't help it as she did find it adorable how Mal would reach for something as soon as she saw any of those three things, but it was also making things harder as Mal was refusing to let Tessa put anything else in the cart including diapers.

"Mal please I just need to put these in the cart. You need diapers," Tessa told the baby after she had finally managed to find everything she needed after that kind and very experienced mother was able to help make sure she had everything she needed.

"No!" Mal screamed out as she pushed the box away, refusing to even look at the diapers as she wanted something with purple and not this boring white color with nothing else on it. Tessa just groaned as she continued to just look around for anything that she could put in the cart.

All that she had left at this point was diapers, but Mal was refusing to let Tessa put them in the cart because they didn't have dragons, purple, or strawberries on them. Tessa sighed in relief when she finally managed to find a box that had purple designed diapers as she just placed them in the cart and this time Mal didn't try to push them away like she had done with the other boxes.

"You're not going to fight me this time, so are we good now," Tessa asked the baby who just giggled as she nodded. "Okay good let's go pay and get back to the resort before anyone realizes that I'm gone because we would be in big trouble if they do," Tessa told the baby who just giggled again as she was just so happy to be out and with someone who loves her.

Once they finished paying Tessa just placed Mal back into her car seat as she started to load up the car, but she stopped when she heard screaming as she looked over to see the lady who had helped her earlier crying while a young boy was laughing and sticking his tongue out at her.

"Ha! Can't catch me!" The young boy screamed out as he and his two dogs quickly ran to his little red electronic car and took off before she could get him as he quickly went to his secret passageway before she could find him.

Tessa immediately left everything as she just ran over to the lady wanting to help her. "What happened?" Tessa asked the mother as she hadn't seen the whole thing and just saw the little boy drive off.

"That little boy! He's evil! He told me he needed help finding his mommy and of course I agreed to help because who wouldn't and his two dogs grabbed my baby stuff and threw it in that stupid car! And when I finally noticed it was already too late as he just ran off and took off and I don't even know where he went! It's like he disappeared!" The lady cried out as she couldn't help it.

All her baby stuff was stolen by some bratty little kid. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry. You can borrow some of my stuff if you need it," Tessa told the lady who just shook her head no as she looked at the younger girl.

"No it's alright I have a lot of stuff already it's just frustrating since I just bought those. Wait where is your baby," the older mom called out to Tessa who just gasped as she realized she had been so distracted she left Mal in the car.
