" Hey everyone, it's nice to see you all again! " Vezlura said, smiling happily with clear amusement as she waved at her NPCs and the others.
" Azura, Jill, I've missed you both so much, come and give me a hug won't you? " Vezlura said with a kind smile as she looked at her NPCs.
As she said this, she spread her arms and wings wide as she invited her them to do so, to which Azura and Jilla quickly accepted.
The two rushed over at lighting speed, embracing the nephilim in a tender loving hug, as they did this, they both began sobbing softly with tears of pure happiness.
" We're so happy your back mother. " Azure whispered as she hugged Vezlura happily.
" Yeah, glad your back mom. " Jilla whispered as she hugged Vezlura as well, both nuzzling the neck of the shorter nephilim.
" Yeah, I'm glad to see you both too kids. " Vezlura said happily with a smile, hugging them back with her arms and wings.
When creating her NPCs, Vezlura put in their lore that she was their mother, since she created them, and felt that way more than ever now that they were real.
Though the sight of Azure and Jilla hugging Vezlura, looked a bit awkward, what with Vezlura's being chest height with them.
" Lady Dralza, it's so wonderful to see you again! " Morela said happily with excitement, as she eagerly ran up to Dralza with a happy smile and bowed before her.
" You as well Morela, It's warms my heart to see you again, my dear child. " Dralza said sweetly with a smile, pulling her into a hug, and gently pressed Morela's head into her armoured chest.
She held the shorter Dragon knight in a tender embrace as a mother would, as much one could in a set of thick plate armour.
Morela responded to Dralza's hug in kind, leaning more into the hug as she hugged happily smiling as she hugged her creator back.
Upon hearing Dralza say " my dear child ", filled Morela's heart with indescribable joy as Dralza regarded her as her own child.
Like Vezlura and Mona, Dralza had NPC was a real living being, Dralza felt strong maternal feelings towards her NPC, seeing her as her own daughter.
" Mother, we're so happy you and Lady Dralza are back, but where have you two been all this time? " Azura said she and Jilla broke the hug, having quickly regained their composure.
" Yeah, where have you two been, we thought you had left, like the others. " Morela said as she broke the hug and took a step back.
" That is precisely the reason why I've called this meeting, Dralza and Vezlura here, will explain to you what they have told me concerning their absence."
" Afterwards, I will announce to all of Nazarick that they have returned, and we will discuss our future plans, now Vezlura, Dralza, you two have floor. " Mona said, gesturing to them both with a motion of her hand.
" Say Dralza, you mind if I guess I go first? " Vezlura asked, smiling as she titled her head curiously to her dragon friend.
" Sure go head, I don't mind. " Dralza said nonchalantly with a wave of her hand, before walking to the right side of Mona's throne.
She then folded her large wings, leaned back on the wall near the throne where Mona sat, and then folded her arms and waited for things to proceed.
" Alrighty, so everyone I'll try to explain the reason for my long term absence as best I can, while trying not to bore you and talk your ears off. " Vezlura said as she stood on the staircase before the throne and looked at the guardians and the others.
" Dear mother, worry not about such things, we would never feel that way. " Azura said sincerely as she looked at Vezlura, getting a nod of agreement from the others.
" Well, that's very kind of you all, but I'd rather not spend all day telling every single little detail, so I'll keep it short. " Vezlura said with a kind smile as she floated into the air and crossed her legs, looking like she was sitting in midair.
" So, the last time I was in Nazarick I left on a journey with Ulbert, to help him with one of his little projects. " Vezlura said as she began telling her story, with the guardians and the others keenly listening, especially Demiurge.
" It turned out he had not one, but several projects he wanted to do with my help, which turned out he needed a lot of, which I was of course happy to provide. "
" But some of them, proved to be a more arduous than others, and had taken longer than expected to complete then I anticipated. " Vezlura said with a sigh, feeling nostalgic as she recalled some of the times her and Ulbert spent vast amounts of time and resources on their projects or plans.
" So, after I finished helping Ulbert with his projects he wanted my aid with, I felt rather weary from all of it, and not the normal tiredness that a night's rest could cure."
" So, I decided to go into a hibernation like deep sleep for a time, by turning my body into a living statue, and placed myself in the infernal gardens.
" Dralza did the same thing, from what she's told me an Mona, me and her have woke up earlier today, and here we are. " Vezlura said nonchalantly as she finished her tale.
" I hope they buy that story, it not really a lie, I did help Ulbert a lot, I just hope they don't ask too many questions. " Vezlura thought nervously as she floated in the air, while maintaining a relaxed and calm face.
" So that's where you've two have been all this time, I thought it was strange that a statue of you and Lady Dralza suddenly was in the gardens where I hadn't seen one before. "
" I just thought Lord Ulbert, or lady Dralza, or you had placed them there, but it was really you both this whole time, wow. " Jilla said with a surprised tone and face, shocked by this news.
" Yeah, but I'm back now and I'm feeling refreshed, well I'm done with my explanation now, Dralza your up. " Vezlura said with a smile to the humanoid Dragoness.
She then flew to the left side throne, then crossed her legs like a pretzel, propped her head with her right hand, and remained idle floating beside the throne
" Alright, give me a sec, I'm still a bit groggy from it all. " Dralza said as she covered her mouth as she lightly yawned, before she walked in front of their audience.
" Huha, so not counting the time me and Vezlura were hibernating, the reason I have been gone for so long, is because I had been out travelling. "
" I was also searching for items, treasures, and equipment I wanted and heard about, as well as hunting for worthy opponents to face and test myself against." Dralza said as she told her tale, with the guardians and others watching her.
" It's kinda true, I did spend a lot of time grinding for items, materials, and went on a bunch of quests and missions to grind for resources me and the guild needed. " Dralza thought, recalling her gameplay days.
" After some time of this, I grew homesick and returned to Nazarick with my spoils I had gathered in my travels with the others. "
" And I felt tired from traveling for so long, and decided to go into hibernation, and I went to the Infernal gardens because I liked the scenery. " Dralza said as she finished her story, walking back to her spot beside the throne and leaned against the wall.
" I see, well we are all glad you both are back, we feared you two had left, like the others. " Albedo said with a slightly sad tone and face, the guardians and the others sharing a sad face as well.
" Yes we're glad to be back as well, and Mona has already informed us of what has happened while we were hibernating. "
"Neither we nor Mona know what has happened to the others, but I will make this clear, me, Dralza, and Mona, will never abandon you or Nazarick. " Vezlura said firmly with sincerity in her voice.
" This place is our home that we built together, and you all are the children of our friends who are family to us, that means you all are family to us as well. " Dralza said as she looked at the guardians and others.
" I hope that has put to rest some of your worries, now let's not dwell on such things anymore, let's now look forward to the future together. " Mona said as she looked over the guardians and the others, showing a very faint smile for couple of seconds as she did.
" I see, Lady Mona was aware of our fears and worries, and so was, Lady Vezlura, and Lady Dralza, I thought all but Lady Mona had abandoned us, but they never did, they never left. "
" Now I feel utterly foolish for doubting their loyalty, I can feel their loyalty and convention clearly their words. " Albedo thought with a smile as she looked at the three supreme beings in admiration.
The guardians and the others, smiled as well, feeling indescribable joy at hearing the three supreme beings words, knowing now they would never abandon them.
" And with that, Mona here has as an announcement and some very important things to say to us all , isn't that right Mona? " Vezlura said with smile her undead friend, giving her the signal to play her part.
" Indeed I do. " Mona said in her flat, cold lifeless voice a she rose from her throne.
"I've decided to make a change to my name, from now on, I will be know as Mona Ainzel Ooal Gown, you may all still call me Mona. "
" If any of you here have any objections to this, voice them now. " Mona sated as she looked around the throne room, her bright blood red red eyes glowing as she observed all in the room.
The guardians and the other NPCs looked to Vezlura and Dralza, wanting to see their reactions, but were met with silent stares directed at them.
" There are none among us who have any objections. " Albedo said, thinking that the three supreme beings were waiting to see their responses.
As she said that, she looked at the rest of the guardians and the others, who all gave a nod in agreement as well.
Seeing that the guardians and the others supported Mona's decision, Vezlura and Dralza smiled internally and decided to proceed with things.
" I have none as well, as the one we all chose to be our leader, and the ruler of Nazarick ourselves, I think our guild's name suites you well, don't you think Vezlura? " Dralza asked with a amused smile as she stood on Mona's right side.
" Yeah I think so too, it suits your very well Mona. " Vezlura said as she flew over to Mona's left side and smiled happily as she voiced her agreement.
" I see, that's good to hear, now on to the next matter, currently we are preparing for the future, so keep that in mind when you act from now on. "
" There are many things out there we don't know, so I advise you all to be cautious and careful when you are outside. " Mona said as she looked at the guardians and the others.
" Ultimately the plan is to spread the name of Nazarick all across the lands, for all to know the glory and might of Nazarick, and build an unshakable foothold for us in this world. "
" And If there any out there who try to harm us, stand in our way, or become our enemies, we'll show them like those before, what happens to those that do. " Mona said as she looked at her audience, finished with her speech.
" If any of our friends are here, hopefully they will hear about us, and find there way here, I really miss them. " Mona thought, feeling melancholy as she recalled memories of her friends.
" Huha that was tiring. " Mona said as she signed loudly, sitting down in one of the two large white couches in her room as she leaned back heavily on it.
She had already taken off her academic robe, and had put it in her inventory as soon as she arrived in her room with her friends.
She now only wore the robe underneath it, and had switched out her boots for some fuzzy black slipper before she sat down.
" Yeah it was, but at least it over now, and it was really great to see the guardians and our NPCs, it felt wonderful to hug Morela." Dralza said with a smile as she laid down on the couch across from Mona and Vezlura, fondly recalling the moment.
" Yeah it was great to meet and see them all, especially Azura and Jilla, and in my professional opinion, you and Dralza did very good. " Vezlura said as she praised her friends performances.
" Thanks Vezlura, though I didn't show it because of my face, I was actually really nervous the whole time. " Mona said in her lifeless voice, while smiling inwardly.
" You'll get better with time with practice, don't worry about it, and we'll always be bedside you . " Vezlura said as she looked at Mona with a smile.
" Yeah, now we can move on with the rest of our plans, this concerns this city called E-Rantel, and the adventures guild there, right? "Dralza asked as she sat up on the couch.
" Yes, this is a copy of a map I got from Carne village, it isn't very detailed, but it's the best they had. " Mona said as she pulled out the map from her inventory, placing it on the dark wooden table between them.
" This is a more enhanced and translated version of it, so this is where we are, Carne village, and where the other neighbors. " Mona said as she placed a ruby where Nazarick was, then pointed to where the other kingdoms were.
Since you've played played realistic military games Dralza, and you and Vezy were two of our strategist , what do you two think of our situation? " Mona asked her friends, curious about their opinions.
Hearing this, Dralza and Vezlura leaned forward and looked at the map with an intense and scrutinizing gaze, studying it's every detail.
" Hmm, we're very far away from this city, and from pretty much anything else for many miles, and there appears to be no roads near us as well. " Dralza said as she analyzed the map.
" And thanks to how we have reshaped the landscape around us, plus with the use of magic, we're pretty well hidden. "
" We should establish a perimeter as soon as possible, it should have three rings, and the patrols should consist of those mostly skilled in stealth. "Dralza said as she gave her suggestion.
" We should also have those with long rang detection skills and spells, and have airborne surveillance to monitor the area as well. "
" We should use undead for that, the Eyeball Corpses would be the best choice, since they can monitor 24/7 without using of items. " Vezlura said, recalling the floating eye monster.
" Hm I agree, I'll inform Albedo and Demiurge about it later. " Mona said with a nod of her head, thinking the same thing.
" Alrighty, that's enough talk about that stuff, let's relax now, we can see about stuff like this later alright? " Vezlura asked with an annoyed sigh as she looked at her friends.
" Vezy's right, we can see about the rest tomorrow, and I'd like to explore Nazarick now that we're back, is that alright Mona? " Dralza asked as she looked to her undead friend.
" Yeah, me too! "Vezlura said with excitement clear in her voice.
" It's fine, your both are right, your both are free to go and enjoy yourselves, meeting adjourned. " Mona said trying to be humorous, clapping her hands once to playfully imitate a gavel.
" Yeah, now if you need me I'm going to get me some food, then I'm gonna explore Nazarick." Vezlura said with a smile as she stood up and flexed her wigs.
" I'll come with you as well, I'm feeling mildly hungry. " Dralza said, getting up and stretching her wings and tail as she did.
" Oh, before we go Mona, can we take some of the pleiades with us, I'd like to spend more time with them and properly apologize to them for earlier. " Vezlura said as she floated a few feet and hovered in the air, recalling how bad the battle maids felt when they realized who they were.
" Sure, they'd probably fuss about you to two being unattended anyway, and it sounds like a good opportunity to bond with them. " Mona said in her usual flat, cold, lifeless voice.
" Okay, hey you wanna come with us Mona, I know you don't need to eat or drink, but we can chat while we eat. " Vezlura said as looked at her undead friend.
" I'll have to take a raincheck on that, after all that stressful stuff today, I'm going to go take a bath and relax." Mona said, recalling the various types of exquisite hot springs, spas, and other bathing facilities.
" Oh, you want us to join you and keep you company, we can explore Nazarick later if you want. " Vezlura suggested.
" No, no I don't want to keep you, I'll be fine. " Mona said dismissively in her flat lifeless voice with a lazy wave.
" Alright, if you say so, well be off then, see you later Mona. " Dralza said with a shrug as she headed for the door.
" Oh, and can you tell Sebas and the two maids where I'll be for me on your way out? " Mona asked as she looked to her friends.
" Sure no prob, we'll see you later Mona, enjoy yourself. " Vezlura said as she lightly waved, before she and Dralza went to leave the room.
" Hello Lady Vezlura, Lady Dralza. " Yuri greeted the two supreme beings, as she and the rest of the Pleiades bowed to them.
As Vezlura and Dralza exited Mona's room, they saw Sebas, the two maids, and all the Pleiades standing lined up on the wall facing Mona's room doors.
" Hello Yuri, girls, oh Sebas Mona asked me to tell you she'll be in the spa baths for a while, in case something come up that needs her attention. " Vezlura said as she looked at the head butler.
" Very well, I'll see to my other duties until she, or either of you calls for me, if you'll excuse me my Ladies. " Sebas said polity, before he bowed to the two supreme beings and headed on his way.
" Say, me and Dralza are going to get something to eat, you girls want to come along with us? " Vezlura asked the battle maids with a curious smile.
" Of course my Ladies, we would be glad to accompany you both. " Yuri said with a smile, as the other Pleiades nodded in agreement as well.
" Alrighty, lets head on out then! " Vezlura said excitedly, as she floated and lead the group with Dralza with battle maids following behind.
" Hm, oh look its Albedo and Shalltear. " Vezlura said, spotting the two women as they rounded a corner and were walking down the hallway towards them.
" I don't know why your coming here Shalltear, don't you have more important things to do, other than to bother Lady Mona? " Albedo asked in her usual sweet voice, though with a hint of annoyance to it.
" I'll have you know, I do have business to discuss with Lady Mona, while your just using your position as an excuse to hog time with lady Mona, right? " Shalltear said with a frown towards the Guardian Overseer.
" Why you little-!
" Hey Albedo, Shalltear, what's up you two? " Vezlura asked as she floated up to the two arguing girls with a smile.
" Oh Lady Vezlura, Lady Dralza, greetings, I was heading to meet with Lady Mona to discuss some matters about pertaining to Nazrick's defenses. " Albedo said as she and Shalltear bowed to the two supreme beings.
" I was as well, and wished to see and discuss with Lady Mona on what I could contribute and improve on that as well, since my floors lay at the top. " Shalltear said polity with her usual smile.
" Well I'm afraid you just missed Mona, she said she was heading to the spa for a while, she seemed kinda stressed out. " Dralza said as she recalled her undead friend's demeanor before they left her room.
Upon hearing this, all present Nazarick residents faces became very worried and concerned, fearing for the well-being of the undead supreme being.
" Is there anything we can do for her? " Albedo said with deep concern, feeling pain in her heart at hearing such news.
" Hmm, well she may appreciate some company, if you two know what I mean. " Vezlura said with a smile as she flew close to them and spoke in a low suggestive way.
" Oh, I see. " Albedo said, as she and Shalltear's eyes lit up with understanding and excitement.
" Thank you for the advice Lady Vezlura, we shall be on way now. " Albedo said, as she and Shalltear smiled and bowed, before heading back the way they came.
" Hehe, good luck girls. " Vezlura thought as she watched the two women walk away with a mischievous playful smile.
" Is there anything we can do for Lady Mona as well supreme ones? " Yuri asked after Albedo and Shalltear left, wondering if they could help in anyway.
" Hmm, you and the girls don't have to worry Yuri, I'm sure Albedo and Shalltear have it handled . " Vezlura assured the head maid with a smile.
" As you wish supreme ones. " Yuri said with a bow, as she and the others seemed to be relieved by the nephilim's words
"Anyway let's get going shall we? "Vezlura asked as she lazily floated back over to them.
" Yes my Lady. " Yuri said with a smile, as she and the others bowed as well.
" Alrighty, since none of you have a guild ring yet we'll go the long way, I'd enjoy a walk anyway, what do you say Dralza?" Vezlura asked the Dragoness warrior as she planted her feet on the floor.
" Sure, I don't mind, it'll be nice to walk around and see the place after so long. " Dralza said nonchalantly, as she group began heading to their destination.
" Yep, me too. " Vezlura happily agreed with her Dragoness friend, as the group began heading to their destination.
" Vezy, why'd you suggest Albedo and Shalltear visit Mona, specifically during her bath? " Dralza asked curiously, silently casting [ Message ] to converse with the nephilim in secret.
" I thought I'd help speed things along for the trio of lovebirds, besides I'm sure Mona would enjoy a nice soak in a hot spring, with two gorgeous gals. " Vezlura said with a smile as she subtly glance at Dralza.
" I'm sure you mean well Vezy, but you sure your plan won't backfire? " Dralza asked as they turned a corner and walked down a long hallway.
" Oh you know how Mona is, she's hesitant when it comes to romance, and because she's had a couple of failed relationships, she lacks confidence in herself. "
" But with Albedo and Shalltear, who are head over heels for Mona, they'll take the initiative, and will definitely treat Mona right. " Vezlura said as she explained her reasons.
" Well I hope things turn out alright, and you know Mona will find out you're the one who sent them, right? " Dralza mentally asked as she raised an eyebrow.
" Yeah, I know. " Vezlura replied mentally with a defeated tone, knowing Mona only had to asked, and Albedo and Shalltear would tell her.
" I just want Mona to be happy, you know? " Vezlura mentally asked with a soft tone, only wanting the best for her undead friend.
" Yeah I understand, your heart's in the right place Vezy, so I'll step in and do damage control gets mad. " Dralza mentally said reassuringly.
" Thanks Dralza. " Vezlura mentally said gratefully with a smile as she subtlety glanced at Dralza
" No problem, just don't forget you owe me one. " Dralza mentally said, lightly smiling playfully as she glanced back.
" Yeah, I got it. " Vezlura said with a smile as they walked down the hallway.
" Ahh, the Grand cafeteria, I forgot how nice this place was. " Vezlura said as they entered a large cafeteria.
Though called a cafeteria, It was extremely luxurious, with high ceilings, gold embroiled decorative walls, large white crystal chandeliers, and a dark wood tile flooring.
It also had several exquisitely carved dark wood round dining tables, each placed neatly in a row throughout the room, forming a square.
Each table had a dark red, gold trimmed table cloth, and eight seats positioned at each table, and a had a gold candlestick holder the middle of the table.
The candlestick holder was exquisitely detailed, and held four multicolored crystals cylinders that gave off a faint glow, standing in place of typical candles.
Rather than looking like a Cafeteria as was its name, the design, size, and interior made it look like an unbelievably luxurious five star restaurant.
After choosing a table Vezlura and Dralza sat at a random table, since she had such large wings, Vezlura had to retract them into her body to properly sit.
For Dralza, she couldn't do the same with her's, so she had to kept her wings partly spread, and her tail to one side to sit properly.
After sitting down and getting settled, they noticed that Yuri and the others standing a few steps away from their table.
" Why don't You girls sit and eat with us, feel free to order whatever you like." Vezlura said with a kind smile.
" B-But Lady Vezlura, this place is reserved for only the supreme ones to dine at . " Yuri said with a slightly shocked and nervous tone.
" It's alright, we don't mind, right Dralza? " Vezlura asked as she glanced over to the humanoid Dragoness.
" Of course not, I don't mind at all. " Dralza said nonchalantly.
" See, now grab a chair from anywhere and take a seat where you want at the table. " Vezlura said as she gestured for them to sit at the table.
" Thank you for this incredibly kind offer Lady Vezlura, Lady Dralza. " Yuri said with a smile, as she and the other pleiades bowed as well.
The Pleiades then quickly went to find a chairs, and in a few moments later, were all seated at the table with Vezlura and Dralza.
Once they were all seated, a homunculus maid with neck length dark brown hair and pale blue gray eyes approached them.
" Hello supreme ones, Pleiades, it's an honor to have you here, and mine to serve you today, here are your menus. " The homunculus maid said with a sweet and soft voice.
" Thanks Rita. " Vezlura said as she took her menu, instantly recognizing the maid and remembering her name.
" Of course Lady Vezlura. " Rita said with a smile, before giving a menus to the rest and waited patiently for their orders.
" Hmm, I'll have root beer with a large chocolate and caramel banana rum sundae with two scoops and whip cream . " Vezlura said, instantly recognized the maid as she stated her choice.
" Hmm, I'll a white wine, with two seasoned fried kraken and hydra skewers, with a tartar sauce and couple of slices of lemon. " Dralza said as she selected her choice as well.
After they placed their orders, the pleiades placed theirs next, Narberal and Shizu ordered sweets, and Yuri and Lupusreigna from the lunch menu.
While Solution and Entoma ordered human meat, organs, and limbs as their meal choice, miraculously Vezlura and Dralza marinated a facade of indifference.
" Excellent, your orders will be ready shortly. " Rita said with a smile after collecting all the menus, before bowing and headed to the kitchen.
" Right, I nearly forgot, these girls may look like gorgeous beauties, but their all monsters, well there's nothing we can do about that. " Vezlura , having silently casted [ Message ] to talk to Dralza.
" Yeah, well looks like we'll have to get use to stuff like that, here come our drinks. " Dralza said mentally, cutting the link as Rita approached their table.
" Here are your drinks everyone. " Ritasaid as she brought over a fancy gold serving cart to the table.
" Your meals will be ready and brought out shortly. " Rita said after she finished handing out everyone's drinks, bowing before heading back to the kitchen.
" Ahh, so good, it's got none of that synthetic junk in it, and it's made from 100% natural ingredients. " Vezlura thought with a smile as she took a drink of her root beer.
" Hm? " Vezlura thought, seeing the pleiades had nervous faces as they sat, not knowing what to do at this point.
" Yeesh, they all look so nervous, I guess their still worrying about what happened earlier when they saw us in our human forms. "
" This isn't good, I'll have to think of something, I wonder what I could do to lighten the mood? " Vezlura thought curiously.
" Sorry for the wait, here is your food everyone. " Rita said as she and a couple of two other maids rolled over decorated gold serving carts over to the table.
After Rolling the carts over, the three maids began placing the dish each of them ordered in front of them, setting Vezlura's and Dralza's first.
" Wow, I forgot how extravagant looking some of the food in the game is, it looks like a work of art. " Vezlura thought as she looked her dessert.
The sundae before Vezlura was beautifully made with two large scoops of fresh vanilla ice cream, with a dark brown rum sauce coating.
It was topped by artistically made swirling and overlapping lines of chocolate and caramel sauce, along with sliced banana and chocolate shavings on top.
It was also surrounded by a thick ring of fluffy whip cream, with lines of overlapping chocolate and caramel drizzled across it with chocolate chips.
The dessert sat in a elegantly designed embossed gold glass ice cream cup, giving the confection a faint gold glow under the light.
" Ahh, this is soooo good, how does ice cream taste so this good ~" Vezlura thought with a happy smile she took a bite of her dessert with a beautifully engraved gold spoon.
While Dralza happily ate a fried meat skewers, each skewer had thick round cuts of golden brown fried meat, sprinkled with flakes of black pepper.
" Hmm, this is wonderful, this kraken better than any calamari I've ever had, and the hydra is great too. " Dralza thought happily as she enjoyed her food.
" So Dralza, what are your plans for after we eat? " Vezlura asked curiously as she placed her right elbow on her chair arm rest.
" Hmm, I'm gonna head to the fourth floor, it's been a long time since I've been there, plus I'd also like to spend more time with Morela. " Dralza said after a sip of her wine, smiling as she thought of her NPC.
