Abraxas was laying on the floor of the dorm staring up at the ceiling, thinking about Harry, a new past time of his, apparently. He heard the door to the room open and then a couple of footsteps before whoever walked in the room must have noticed him because they stopped.

"Uh, Abraxas?" said blonde looked up to see his son was looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh, hello Draco," Abraxas said before laying his head back down and staring back up at the ceiling.

"You alright dude?" Draco questioned, going to sit on the bed closest to his father,

"Quite. Why do you ask?"

"Because you're lying on the floor." Draco pointed out; Abraxas just made a noise in acknowledgement.

They were both quiet for a while, before Abraxas finally spoke again, "How do you tell someone you think you love them?" Draco's eyebrows flew into his hairline.

"You think you love somebody?"

Abraxas groaned and covered his face with his hands "I think so?" he took a short pause, "Y'know the worst part is that I don't even know if he has any swing in that direction. What if I've gone and caught feelings for a straight guy?"

"Well, you don't know if he's straight," Draco hummed, pretty sure he already knew who his father was talking about, "you could always just go up to him and kiss him like Neville did with me," he chuckled, but it died in his throat at the look on his father's face,

"Draco, I don't know what to do… I've never been in love before…"

Draco tutted his tongue, looking down at his father in pity, "IN love?" he questioned, "man, you've got it bad."

"Tell me about it."

Harry couldn't sleep. He had been tossing and turning around in his bed for hours before he finally decided to get up and go do something else. He slowly opened the curtains around his bed, trying his best to not make any noise. He went to his trunk and pulled out a warm cloak before tiptoeing out of the boys dormitory.

Since transferring out of Gryffindor, Harry wasn't on the quidditch team anymore. He always liked to fly, more than just about anything else in the wizarding world, and it calmed him down. He thought that because he wasn't on a team, he wouldn't be able to fly anymore. But when he asked Professor McGonagall about it, she said the pitch was open for anybody to fly in so long as neither practice nor a game were going on.

Considering that it was half past 2 in the morning, Harry figured there wasn't going to be a game or practice going on right now, so toward the quidditch pitch he went.

Abraxas was up late working on a potions essay in the common room, damn Severus, and his essays too.

That was when he saw Harry quietly making his way down the stairs and through the common room. He didn't see Abraxas sitting in his tucked away corner, so he walked on by. The blonde furrowed his eyebrows, where was Harry going at this time of night? He suddenly remembered the last time that he had found Harry out of the dorm in the middle of the night, and he became worried. Was Harry, okay?

Abraxas sat there for a moment just thinking about whether he should follow the brunette or not. He finally closed his book and snuffed out the candle he was using for light before he silently left the common rooms. He followed the feel of Harry's magic, little hints of it here and there that allowed him to follow the other even after he was long out of sight. When Abraxas saw that the trail was leading him outside, he stopped to summon a warm cloak before heading out onto the grounds.

Once he was outside, a trail of footprints in the fresh snow led him towards Harry. Abraxas made his way out to the quidditch pitch and was surprised that when he entered the pitch, the air inside was much more pleasant and warm than on the outside. He looked up into the pitch and his breath caught in his throat at what he saw.

Harry was on his Firebolt, twisting and diving through the air like he was meant to be there. Abraxas had never seen anybody with such grace while on a broom, had never seen anybody take to the sky like they were a fish, and the air was their water.

He made his way into the stands to sit in the Slytherin bleachers to watch. Up higher, he could see the reflection of moonlight against a practice snitch that Harry had let loose to chase. Harry must have spotted it too, because suddenly he turned and bee-lined to the other end of the pitch. He followed it up and up until Abraxas thought there wasn't any way he could get any higher. Then the snitch changed direction and went into a nosedive towards the ground. As Harry followed after it, Abraxas was gripping to the edge of his seat as he watched his friend literally propel himself towards the very hard ground.

But then! At the last second Harry pulled up and snatched the snitch out of the air, holding it triumphantly in his hand.

When Abraxas saw that Harry had caught the damn thing, he jumped up in his seat and couldn't help the cheering that escaped him. He saw Harry jump a little bit at the unexpected voice, but when he turned and saw the long blonde hair, he grinned and flew over to the stands. He stepped off of his broom onto the bleachers next to Abraxas effortlessly.

"That was so cool!" Abraxas grinned, he had never really gotten into playing the sport, but he did enjoy watching the games. Even so, he had never seen anybody move like that on a broom. He watched as Harry blushed and he couldn't help thinking that Harry may just be the cutest thing to ever exist.

Harry grinned nervously, he ran a hand through his messy hair and held up the snitch in the other. "Apparently," he teased as the snitch tried to flutter out of his grasp, "they are much harder to catch in the dark." Abraxas couldn't help but laugh. Harry summoned the case for the quidditch balls and strapped the snitch securely back in its place before closing the lid and sending it and his broom back to the broom shed.

They both sat on the bleachers facing each other. Abraxas thought that the way the moonlight reflected off of the others face was a work of art, and only he had the pleasure of seeing it.

"What are you doing awake?" he heard Harry ask, Abraxas just hummed a little bit, unable to look away from the beauty in front of him.

"I was working on homework," he answered truthfully, "I was in the common room when you walked through and I wanted to make sure that you were okay, so I followed."

Harry smiled nervously and looked away from the others face, "It's that obvious that something's wrong?" Abraxas frowned and scooted a little closer to Harry, reaching out and putting his hands on the other's shoulders.

"Hey…" Abraxas said softly, "are you okay?"

Harry looked in his eyes for only a second before he looked away again and just nodded, he didn't want to say anything because he knew it would eventually lead to crying. The blonde looked at him for a really long time before he just moved closer again and collected Harry in his arms, holding him close and comforting.

Harry was taken a bit aback by the hug, but as soon as the arms were around him, he felt his resolve breaking and the tears falling. He just cried for a little bit before he could bring himself to say anything,

"It hurts…" he finally choked out,

"What hurts, Harry?" Abraxas asked gently, not liking the pain in the others voice.

"it's almost Christmas. And every year I have to sit at Hogwarts alone because my family hates me, and my friends all leave to go home without so much as a goodbye and I'm stuck in the cold empty castle alone…" Harry's crying was starting to calm down, but the misery in his voice only got worse.

A quiet stretched between them for a minute or so, and just when Abraxas was about to respond, Harry started talking again.

"What hurts is that nobody wants me…" the ex-Gryffindor said in a whisper, "My family didn't want me, the Weasley's didn't want me, Ron and Hermione didn't want me, Dumbledore didn't want me… I don't even really want me…"

Abraxas pulled away from Harry just a bit so that he could look the smaller of the two in the eyes. "You are wanted, Harry," he said, reaching up to place a hand on Harry's face, he couldn't help the warmth that spread in his chest when the brunette leaned into his touch.

"I-" Abraxas started, wanting to say that he wanted Harry, but he was cut off as they heard Hagrid yelling from the entrance of the pitch, they looked down and saw the half-giant making his way towards the Slytherin stands.

"Hey! You two aren't supposed to be out here!" Hagrid bellowed, Abraxas had just enough time to look back at Harry before a mischievous grin was thrown his way and Harry grabbed his hand,

"Come on!" he whispered before pulling Abraxas down the stairs that led up to the stands, Abraxas followed obediently, giggling as they made their getaway. They were running under the stands when they could hear Hagrid getting closer much faster than they were getting away.

Harry knew they were about to be cornered, he looked around and tried to find anything that they could use to their advantage. He spotted something, it would be a bit of a squeeze, but he thought the two of them could make it in the space without being discovered.

"This way!" he said, darting over to a corner that was out of the way. They squeezed into the space and Abraxas discovered at that moment that if Hagrid walked around the corner, they would be found.

"Harry, what do we-" he started before he was shushed quietly, Harry took out his invisibility cloak from the inside pocket of his robes and wrapped it around the two of them, casting a notice-me-not charm for good measure.

They heard Hagrid getting closer and closer until the boys could feel the ground vibrating with his footsteps. They watched through the robe as the man walked up to their corner, Harry held a finger to his lips to tell Abraxas to stay quiet.

Abraxas watched with bated breath as the half giant turned the corner to where they should now be visible, but when Hagrid pointed his umbrella into the space to illuminate it, he saw nothing and furrowed his eyebrows.

When Abraxas looked back at Harry he couldn't look away; he was grinning stupidly as the two just looked each other in the eyes, trying not to giggle and reveal their location. They both looked towards the light of the umbrella as it washed over them.

"Could have sworn…" Hagrid mumbled to himself, lowering his umbrella, he started to wander away from the area. Eventually, he was out of sight and out of ear shot when the boys finally looked back at each other.

"We did it!" Harry whispered excitedly, knowing that the half giant could still be around. Abraxas was grinning like an idiot, he had never felt so free while breaking the rules, had never had this much positive adrenaline running through his veins.

He looked Harry in the eyes, and it felt like time stopped, like they were floating. Harry looked back unwavering and tried not to show any of his true feelings through his eyes, but something sneaked through anyway and Abraxas was almost sure he saw Harry's eyes flick to his lips.

There was a warmth in Harry's chest that lighted every time he was close to Abraxas. His heart sounded like it was beating out of his chest in the moments that they stared at each other. The feelings both excited and terrified him; he had never felt anything like this before.

"We should get back inside…" Harry whispered suddenly, breaking the moment. He took a step back from the blonde and took the cloak off of them. He tucked it into his winter cloak before him and Abraxas started up the hill back to the castle.

The beating in his chest and the weird fluttering in his stomach didn't start to die down until long after the two had made it back to the Slytherin dorms.

After Abraxas' conversation with Harry, he spoke with Draco and they both thought it would be fun to stay at Hogwarts during Christmas for once. The three spent plenty of time together during the break, but Draco went to his mother's for a few days, and mostly it was just more bonding time for Harry and Abraxas.

"Wait, wait, wait…" Abraxas said through laughter, "YOU'RE the reason Umbridge is terrified of horses now?"

"More or less, yes," Harry grinned. The two were currently sitting on the floor of their dorm, swapping stories, and eating some popcorn the two snuck into the kitchens to get.

"Okay so how did this happen?" Abraxas couldn't not have the details of this story.

"So, she took us into the forbidden forest, right? Well, she did something to disrespect the centaurs- And you know the rule man; If you go into the forbidden forest, you get whatever is coming to you. But she tried to get me to tell the centaurs to leave her alone! That she meant no harm!

"And this… this fucking toad faced bitch had been torturing me for the entire goddamn school year and she has the AUDACITY to demand me to tell them to let her go? That she meant no harm?" he scoffed. The memory was still fresh on his mind; it had happened less than a year ago, after all.

Harry looked down at the top of his hand, where the blood quill had carved 'I must not tell lies.' into his skin. The scar was relatively new, still pink and raised from where his body had repaired the wound. It was one of the few things on his body that he still covered with concealment charms almost 24/7. He honestly wasn't sure if Draco even knew about that one. He had to be on Umbridge's Inquisitorial Squad; so, Harry tried not to bother him much last year.

He continued to look down at his hand, "So… I told her…" he took a deep breath and looked back into Abraxas' eyes, "Sorry Professor," he lifted his hand up to show the blonde the very clearly written sentence on his hand, "But I must not tell lies."

Abraxas watched as Harry seemed to be thinking about something; before he continued with story and lifted his hand to show him the scar for context. Abraxas gasped quietly; he knew instantly what she had Harry use. How she even got ahold of a blood quill was a mystery to him; it was outlawed in every wizarding world that he knew of.

Blood quills were extremely dangerous; a person could suffer major damage and blood loss from a blood quill. Not only the dangers of it, but it was excruciatingly painful. When Harry said she tortured him… he wasn't exaggerating.

He took hold of Harry's hand and trailed gentle touches over the words written there.

"And then," Harry said after a minute, breaking the silence, "I just ran out of the forest, and Umbridge tried to follow, but she ended up getting trampled (unfortunately not to death) by centaurs."

Abraxas looked back into Harry's eyes, but his fingers didn't stop their trailing touches over his hand.

"She had it coming." Was all Abraxas responded with, to which Harry laughed.

"Yeah, she really did… Hey, did she ever get in trouble for like basically being an insider in the ministry for Voldemort, by the way?"

"Hmm, not that I know of," Abraxas hummed, "But I do have several friends who could change that very quickly."

Harry gave him a good natured half smile, "but Isn't Lucius Malfoy in Azkaban right now?"

The blonde laughed, "Yeah, I guess he is…" there was silence for a moment, before Abraxas spoke again,

"Does that bother you?" his voice was quieter this time, hesitant, almost like he was afraid of what the answer was going to be. He couldn't look Harry in the eye anymore.

Harry frowned at his friend's mood change. He remembered how the last time they had talked about Lucius; Abraxas had been in the midst of a panic attack. But Harry wasn't going to let it get that far this time.

He scooted even closer than the two already were and put his arm around Abraxas' shoulders,

"Nah, I don't mind that Lucius is in Azkaban. Cause Abraxas is right here."

Said man looked over at Harry and couldn't help the watery smile on his face. He looked like he was trying to think of what to respond with, but he couldn't find the right words. Instead, he turned and pulled Harry into a full hug, burying his face in the others neck.

Harry hugged back almost instinctively. He had to stop himself from gasping when millions of butterflies erupted in his stomach. Neither of them wanted to let go for a while, but when they did Abraxas chuckled.

"Want to go back to the kitchens and get some hot chocolate?"

"Um, of course I do!" Harry grinned. He stood and helped Abraxas off of the floor before the two started making their way back to the kitchens.

As they walked, Harry noticed electricity that shot through his body any time they even slightly touched.

Harry fell asleep that night to the thought of Abraxas' arms around him; and how he was in big trouble now.
