UPDATE APRIL 2016

Hello, everyone. For those who are visiting to see what's up with my stories, I know its been years. Sorry. Real life stuff takes forever. I do plan on continung and rewritting my works in progress, but it will still be awhile before I'm able. So, still on hiatus, but keep me in your follows for when I finally get to update. What I'll probably do is Finish the stories before I post anymore so when I do get posting, you won't have to wait long between chapters.

Hey, I'm Samantha, otherwise known as Breanna Tala. I'm currently on a Hiatus for writing fanfiction, but the stories I've been posting will eventually be finished -- and rewritten. My writing style, I believe, has changed and matured since I've started writing 5/6 years ago so the stories will need to be updated. I've been busy, though, so it may be awhile before the projects work themselves out.

A little bio:

After finishing United, my first fanfiction, I started writing my answer to the Severitus challege, which I called It's Mutual. The story started off meaning to be a Harry and Snape bonding story that took place during the span of 1 year, but over the years, in RL time, it's become a trilogy with a much more broad overall plot. Lots of small plots litter the story, some of them spanning the entirety of the trilogy which will finally come to an end before the end of It's Mutual 3. Some background isn't even planned to be covered until a fourth or fifth installment of the story, like the Voices, who/that first appeared in the middle of It's Mutual 1, which would be the main focus on It's Mutual 4, when I finally come around to writing it. It's Mutual 5, if written, will be centered around the personal lives of Harry, Severus, and Remus, starting a year after Voldemort is defeated, and will incorporate little facts that have barely been hinted at in the trilogy (mainly the 3rd story). For both It's Mutual 4 and 5, they will be completely written before they will be posted because of limited writing time on my end of the wire. I am also currently in the process of rewriting the chapters of It's Mutual to account for flow from beginning of 1 to the end of 3, character development and general read-ability. It's a slow, but smooth river that I've been following along, but eventually, it'll reach an end :)

A little after starting It's Mutual, a Snape-Adopts-Harry plotline came to me, dubbed It Starts as a Summer. It started off closely following the books and by Harry's fifth year, everything takes a turn . . . perhaps even for the worse. At the moment, it is on a temporary Hiatus, albeit a long one. I do intend to finish the story -- even if it takes me to my dying day -- but I feel that the story needs a rehaul from the beginning, so once It's Mutual is finished, I will be starting from the beginning and reposting chapters when I get them done. Probably post a few new chapters while I'm at it, but it veered off onto a not-much-explored path that needs some fixing up before it can be open for tourists. Although I have plans for what Harry would do after Hogwarts, I haven't yet decided if the story will continue after Harry's 7th year. If nothing else, his after-Hogwarts years will be summed up in an epilogue.

My next decent size project was Justify the Means. It was a time travel fic where Severus and Harry become friends in Snape's time. I love the idea . . . I'm not too pleased with how it turned out. That's another thing on my to-do list: Rewrite this one.

Brothers By Blood started shortly before the finale of Justify the means. I wanted a story, slightly darker in theme, where Harry and Snape were brothers; same father and same mother. The story was meant to show a side of the wizarding world that's not always portrayed smoothly in fanfictions -- a little Darker Harry, without the all-powerfulness and all-knowing personality, and to delve in further into a world that doesn't freely accept muggleborns. With Harry -- named Silas Prince by his birth mother, Eileen Snape -- sorted into Ravenclaw, nearly brothers with Draco because the Malfoys are Harry's Godparents, and Severus is Draco's Godfather, and Severus being highly integrated with families who supported the Dark Lord because of the dangers of cutting ties with them, he's introduced to the wizarding world in a much different manner. With Severus letting Harry know that muggleborns are just as magical as purebloods, but at the same time, not explaining to him the prejudices, Harry's confused about what to believe. The story is intended to end after 7 of Harry/Silas' years at Hogwarts, with Harry/Silas free of Voldemort in his final year. This story will be continued at a regular basis when It's Mutual is finished . . . as much as I can with my RL schedule interfering.

Trapped Together evolved from a oneshot and really was just an excuse to have conversations between Harry and Snape. There's a few more chapters that have yet to be written, but they'll loosen themselves from my head eventually.

The Merge of Wars is the start of a Harry Potter/Animorphs crossover series, but there is still a chapter or two to go to finish this first installment. Yet another story that needs some fixing. There are a few more installments planned for this 'series'.

Late Understanding and Hate Me belong together. Late Understanding was written first, even though Hate Me comes first in the timeline.

My 'story' Have You, Will You? was written in one of my weird moods. It's more or less all dialogue -- and is intended to be that way. Snape stumbles upon Harry after Harry ran away to deal with the Voldemort situation himself -- along with a few other reasons -- and they're at a standoff before Voldemort shows up for what ends up being the 'final battle'. This runs into a short story that is unfinished (and completely unposted) that is called Have I, Can I? which takes place after Snape brings Harry back and tells why Harry left in the first place. These two oneshots will eventually lead up to a third story, a chaptered fic, which will be a story mostly from the POV of Harry's only son after they come back to Great Britain so he can start Hogwarts. This will be another darker fic, where the kid isn't as . . . well behaved as he should be.

Among the rest of my oneshots, the only other two that I really like are Fever, which is a darker humor fic in which Harry gets sick and Snape has to take are of him -- and there is a planned part from Snape's POV which is yet to be written -- and A Christmas Surprise, which is actually an offshoot from It's Mutual. In the second It's Mutual, Harry and Snape find themselves in this alternate reality where Lily told Snape she was pregant with his kid and she marries him instead. Instead of Harry, they named the kid Braidon, but to avoid confusion, I use the name Harry throughout the story. I want to write more onehots in this world as it intrigues me a little.
