Hi all, here is the next chapter. It is quite a short one but I figured it was a good place to end it. Let me know what you think of this chapter. Thank you to all readers so far!

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter and/or any associated characters

Enjoy!

Tom watched, pacing around the room as William, a healer, working on mending the teen's injuries. Dumbledore, an evil manipulative bastard, he'd put an end to his antics before he could touch anybody else on his side.

And that process, he'd begun with Harry's broom being sent with Dumbledore's signature on it along with the list of his injuries to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. The evil wizard certainly wouldn't be expecting what was to come for him. Keeping a step ahead of the evil goat at all times was bringing him great enjoyment, and he'd keep it that way.

He was going to suffer now for Harry's injuries on top of everything else he deserved. 'The more the merrier!' he grinned to himself, doing everything to stop himself from laughing.

Giving up pacing the floors, he retreated to the chair by Harry's bedside. Harry had been injured far too many times for his liking but this time he'd make sure this was the last. Well, minor injuries he could deal with but this was a different level, which Harry, unfortunately, had a lot of experience with.

Multiple broken bones littered throughout Harry's body but they could be healed rather quickly. He also had a depressed fracture of his skull, along with grazes littering that side of his head. That wasn't the worst to heal, his torn bicep from the bone would be the hardest with his arm needing to be strapped to aid the recovery.

As Tom supported Harry's arm, cradled in a sling, with a pillow, said man woke, eyes darting around the room before resting on him. They were alone in the room with William taking a break while Severus stayed with Hermione. She, ultimately, had done everything she could with no clue what was happening. In the room down the corridor, she waited till she could go in and see her friend.

"Harry, how are you feeling?" He spoke, letting his hand rest lightly atop the teen's arm.

With each attempt he made, he couldn't piece together what had led to him being where he was at that moment. The last he could remember was trying to steer his broom which appeared to have malfunctioned, while Hermione flew just beneath him.

Opening his mouth in the shape of the words he mouthed, "what happened," sitting bolt upright, a wave of dizziness clouded his vision and he fell backward into the arms of Tom, who saw the change in the appearance of Harry stepped into action. He was a quick thinker and always was, which has come in very useful indeed.

Tom draped his arm around the teen's uninjured shoulder and rubbed it a few times. Looking away to gather his thoughts, after a few minutes he spoke.

"Your broom was cursed causing it to spiral out of control resulting in your injuries most of which we've healed, " He nodded at the sling, keeping his arm firm against his chest.

Harry cast a glance at his arm before making an attempt to free himself from Tom's arms only to be held back.

" You need to lie back down and rest Harry, your injuries aren't fully healed yet especially your shoulder and head," Tom finished figuring it'd be better for Harry if he didn't say exactly what happened to his head just yet. The teen acted on impulse far too often, which he didn't need now.

Giving up he allowed himself to be guided back toward the bed head buried in the crook of Tom's elbow.

Trying to extend his arm, he did so a few times before he let out what could only be described as a pain-coated grunt.

"But my broom, who cursed it and where is it?" He did his best to move his head left and right as if looking for the culprit.

"It was that evil goat Dumbledore, but he'll be dealt with soon. As for your broom, it has been sent to the Department of Magical Law for their examination and results."

Harry, sounding more panicked, mouthed, "but I want my broom back, even just for keepsake, if I can-."

Giving the teen's hand a gentle squeeze he spoke, "I will do my best to ensure you get the remains of your broom back once the Department is finished with it, but that may take a while. A new broom is what you'll need as that one won't be of any use anymore. Severus will sort that for you."

With a nod from Harry, Tom allowed Hermione to enter the room. A few hours had passed since the incident but the gap Tom felt was necessary. Severus had spent some time with her debriefing what had happened. Not that he had much choice, Hermione would have everyone hexed within minutes especially when it came to her friends being hurt.

Carefully closing the door behind him, he set off down the corridor towards Severus' quarters. Sitting down opposite each other and summoning a glass of butterbeer Tom started.

"A new broomstick will need to be gotten for Harry if you could fetch one for him. Keep to the quiet streets obviously." Tom added as an afterthought.

"As if I didn't already know that," Severus snarled, "but yes I'll go get him one later today once I check on Dumbledore's whereabouts. I don't want to be running into him or any of his followers, yet."

Draining the last of the contents from his glass, he set it on the table almost knocking it over in the process.

"Severus watch! You will break it if you are not careful and create a mess. Of which I will have to you cleaning the muggle way. No magic whatsoever." He giggled as said man returned a snarl, one he saved for very few people.

Successfully leaving the glass in the centre he sat back as far away from the table as possible. Cleaning up the muggle way never appealed to him and he certainly didn't want to give Tom the satisfaction of watching him.

With the rest of their conversation going relatively uneventful, he set off to check on Dumbledore. He'd be damned if he was going to have a repeat of running into that manipulative so-called wizard.

With a faint pop, he appeared in Diagon Alley and headed off as quickly as possible in the direction of Quality Quidditch Supplies. The streets were quiet enough at this time but still, he wasn't risking it. Better to go quickly and not be seen.

A few minutes later saw Severus leaving the shop, a Firebolt in hand. He felt it would be better to get Harry the same type of broom, one which he was used to. Harry's exact wand type. Thankfully he hadn't noticed anyone he knew and not a soul in the shop.

Apparating back to the Manor, he found Harry resting on the couch, a book cracked open on his lap. The teen wouldn't be riding the broom for a while but he had to give it to him. For peace of mind if nothing else.

Perching at the edge of the couch opposite Harry, hands clasped firmly in his lap. "Harry, how are you feeling?" with nothing more than a nod and a muttering of words of which he could barely make out but sounded like 'I'm fine but with one arm not much I can do.' Harry wrapped his left arm around his sling and tucked his fingers into the gap at the side.

With what he hoped was a sympathetic look he calmly spoke. "It won't be too long before you will be able to use that arm again. Once your shoulder gets the rest it needs you'll be back to normal."

"I just want the option to use my broom and do what nor- other wizards do." letting out a big sigh, his eyes cast to the floor.

"I know, I understand," With no response, not even his gaze he continued, "I've gotten you another broom as the other one is completely useless now."

"You did? A new b-broom for me?" His gaze came to settle on Severus, disbelief coating his every word and the look of shock plastered all over his face.

"Yes, Harry It is for you. It's the same as your other one-a Firebolt."

At that Harry's mouth widened for a few moments before he closed it. "T-thank you S-Severus." He observed Tom for a bit as if expecting it to be a joke. That certainly wasn't part of Severus' nature, that was downright cruel to do that.

"It is really yours Harry."And with that, he tore it out from his sleeve and handed it to Harry who gingerly took it. Turning it around in his fingers and rubbing his fingers along the coating.

Suddenly Harry leaped up with Severus quickly following suit. Throwing his good arm around Severus he embraced him to which said man reciprocated.

"Thank you, I love it." He murmured.

"Truly my pleasure, Harry"

That's it for now. Looking forward to any reviews.
