![]() Author has written 92 stories for Doctor Who, From Eroica With Love, One Piece, and Emergency. AMERICAN WHOVIAN SINCE 1985 EROICA FAN SINCE 2005 ABOUT ME - BULLET POINTS: I WRITE FAN FICTION: I have wonderful beta readers and have been known to beta read for others. I have a great beta reader in Germany to help me make sure any German I use is correct, and to berate me for my ignorance of German customs. I have another in England to help me when I get stuck for the right idiom, which isn't very often, thankfully. I tend to do a lot in the spring and summer, then nothing until after fall is over. I wrote a bizarre 5 part parody of the Ninth Doctor in honor of "The Parting of the Ways." Soon after, I fell into the "From Eroica With Love" fandom. After that, I seem to have turned away from serious writing in favor of cracked out short stories and humor, at least for the most part. I blame Aioke-san. Eroica is like crack. After one taste, you're addicted. For my (usual) serious stuff, I find that I tend to write novel-length stories rather than short stories. Although I have been known to do those on occasion. I also seem to do two stories at a time that are linked in some way. No clue why I do this. In fact, I seem to be doing a lot of series lately. I blame everyone throwing plot bunnies at me. I try to keep my chapters short so each is a relatively fast read, which is why there are a lot of them. (Lots of short chapters instead of a few overlong and cumbersome ones.) In this way, I hope I am not overwhelming the reader, or boring them to death. I READ AND WRITE SLASH, AND I BLAME MISS SIN: I had 4 Eroica fics accepted for publication in a fanzine "Iron & Silk" published in June 2007. Due to size constraints, only two were included. One is a novel-length crossover that I wrote specifically for the zine and in which I threw everything but the kitchen sink. The story "Stealing Time" is actually a follow up to that story. The other is a Klaus-centric story. FAVORITE QUOTE: The Fourth Doctor "There's no point in being grown-up if you can't be childish sometimes." MY FAVORITE DOCTOR: Ah...now, there you have me. It depends on my mood and the type of story I'm telling. I tend to stick with 4-7, although, thanks to the Big Finish Audios, I am becoming quite a fan of the 6th Doctor. CHARACTER FLAW: DOCTOR WHO FICS: You can find all my Doctor Who stories on the Teaspoon site -- http:///viewuser.php?uid=271 I have completed uploading my Fourth Doctor companion arc. The stories are numbered before each title to designate their order in the arc. It isn't really necessary to read them in order, as I have made notes covering any relevant information the reader may need relating to the new original companion, Jason Krystovan. (He's a shapeshifter.) The last two multi-chapter stories in the arc are Doctor Who/From Eroica With Love crossover stories that are in the ANIME section of this site. For pictures and a quick bio of who's who, you can check out my live journal posting. http:///50869.html. After Jason and the Doctor part company, they cross paths on several other occasions. Sometimes this is planned, but most times, it is not. But, that is the nature of the Whoniverse. The first is the 2-part Fifth Doctor story "Who Is My Enemy." This is completely uploaded. There is a story in progress that will come after it, which is why the story numbers skip. This is followed by a 4-story series "The Transmutation of Time." This arc has overlapping timelines, two Doctors, familiar companions, new faces, a new enemy and a very, very old one. After this comes the Sixth Doctor story "Random Chance" that fits within the Transmutation of Time arc. In case you haven't figured this out yet, I love complex plots. Very, very complex plots. I hope I don't lose anyone along the way. Time travel has a tendency to do that, I have found. The next story in this mini-arc, "Trials and Transmutations," was published by Chaos Unlimited and is quite possibly the most complex story I have ever written. (It is also the longest at 110,000 words.) It is actually 2 stories in 1; the format having been stolen unapologetically from "Trial of a Time Lord." It is in 6 parts, and I have added an addendum that gives the story within the story in chronological order. EROICA FICS: You can find all my Eroica fics (with illustrations) on Fried-Potatoes http:///fanfiction/viewuser.php?uid=20 As stated above, there are a couple of crossovers included in my Eroica fic postings. I played around with cliches last year, turning them on their heads, which has resulted in quite a few short stories. I also ended up with several plot bunnies that others did not know what to do with but hoped I could hammer into something interesting. The stories in Fried-Potatoes include the illustrations that cannot be uploaded to . A couple are a direct result of challenges, and one was specifically requested by one of my beta readers. How could I possibly disappoint her? After the one-year anniversary of the publication of "Iron and Silk" I will be uploading the stories included therein. "Major Decisions," a story centering on the Major and (gasp) a relationship with a woman; and "Terror Behind The Iron Curtain," a novel-length, Fifth Doctor crossover written specifically for the zine. Despite the obvious sci-fi overtones, it is a very Eroica centric story. In September of 2006, I discovered 3 chapters of an unfinished story by Filigree from 2002. To my delight, she allowed me to adopt this abandoned child. I took it under my wing, reworked the existing material, and spun it a new tale of love, lies, betrayal, and espionage, with a good bit of humor thrown in. This story "House Of Cards" was completed in 2007 and has been uploaded in its entirety. ADULT FICS: You can find my Adult rated stories on the Adult Fan Fiction -- |
