So that's what Bill meant when he said she was 'friends with those hunters he hates so much.' Okay, Danny could do this, he didn't need to get too close anyway, just enough that he could get this girl to safety. He didn't feel like being experimented on today.

He had flown up into the air above the tops of the evergreens for a second to try and check his surroundings, he quickly spotted the clearing and the large broken 'Mystory Shack' sign on the top of the roof. It would take maybe 20-25 minutes to walk there.

He floated back down to the ground landing with a light thud next to Mabel. "A little under a 30-minute walk," Danny told her. "Should be fine as long as there are no gnomes hiding out waiting for us. But after earlier, I doubt they would." Mabel nodded excitedly and they both started walking, well maybe was more skipping along next to Danny to keep up.

After about 30 seconds of unbearing silence, Mabel spoke up again. "What's it like to fly?" She asked, her voice filled with intrigue. "I mean, it looks so cool!" She held one hand out as if she was flying like an airplane while the other was still holding onto her pig.

Danny stopped for a second, before quickly starting to walk again. "I don't often think about it really, I mean flying and floating-" He floated an inch of the ground and then back down. "- Are natural for ghosts."

He put his hand on his chin. "But if I were to describe it to a human, I'd say, It's like you are weightless. Gravity not affecting you, like it is just passing right through you, your chest feels all tingly like how you feel when you are going straight down on a rolercoster."

"You can propel yourself forward by tugging at your own limbs and directing yourself where you want to go. It takes practice though. I mean I used to fall on my face and crash through walls and windows all the time when I first died." He chuckled. "But the feeling of wind in your face, being able to see everything from above, it's beautiful. Makes you feel…free." Danny was looking ahead of him his eyes lost in a trance as he explained.

Mabel on the other hand was looking up at him, hanging onto every word he spoke. "It sounds beautiful."

Danny looked back at her and chuckled while rubbing the back of his neck. It was so… nice, nice to see someone that wasn't afraid of him, someone who was interested in things about him, without wanting to torture him to see what makes him tick. It made him feel… happy.

The both of them talked a little more while they walked. And Mabel loved every moment of it, he was so nice and kind. He always waited to listen to what she had to say. And of course as a bonus. He was really cute.

She hadn't even noticed the time flying by. She stopped when the ghost in front of her slowed and stood still. She looked up at him with a raised eyebrow before looking around. She had quickly recognized the area. This was the part of the forest just outside of the Mystery Shack.

She realized that Phantom was all tense around here. She wondered why. "Your house is just a little bit ahead, I shouldn't get too close."

She paused, thinking about asking him why he wouldn't want to get too close, but decided against it. "Well, thanks again for saving me." Her pig oinked in her arms, causing her to chuckle. "And Waddles." She held the pig up to the ghost's eye height again and Waddles licked his nose, causing both of them to chuckle.

Phantom smiled. "Well, you are very welcome Waddles." He bowed slightly. "Bye Mabel." He waved slightly to the girl.

Mabel started to walk away but stopped turning back around. "Will I see you again? like in the forest?"

Phantom smiled at her. "I don't know exactly how long I will be here, I am doing something for a friend. But tell you what. I will definitely find a way to say goodbye before I go."

She smiled brightly. "That would be awesome!" She started to run in the direction of the Mystery Shack waving behind her. "Bye!"

Mabel ran into the house slamming the back door behind her, almost causing it to not latch and swing open again. She quickly started running up the stairs to her room. Grunkle Stan raised an eyebrow at her while he was drinking a can of pit cola. He shrugged it off and walked into the other room.

Mabel ran into her and Dipper's shared room. She quickly noticed that her brother was sitting on his bed carefully reading through his journal with a frustrated look on his face. She didn't care though she had to tell him about the day she had.

"Dipper, Dipper, Dipper!" She chanted jumping up and down. She had now put Waddles on the ground.

Dipper looked up at her with a raised eyebrow, he looked incredibly tired. "What is it, Mabel?" He grumbled.

"So you see, I just went on this huge adventure, Waddles escaped and I went after him but then I ran into this cute boy! He was so nice and thoughtful. Oh, and he said he was a-."

Dipper put his hand up to stop his sister. "Mabel I don't have time for your crazy boy talk right now."

"But-."

"I am trying to figure out this whole demon thing, Mabel. This could be a matter of life and death."

Mabel turned her head away. "Okay then, you figure out your whole demon thing anyway. You don't deserve to hear about him then." She scoffed crossing her arms and turning away. "I'm going to go hang out with Grunkle Stan in the kitchen."

"Thank you," Dipper muttered as he read over the same page for almost the 100th time.

Mabel huffed and walked out of the room and down the stairs leaving the door open a little bit behind her because she knew it would annoy her brother. When she walked down the stairs she saw Grunkle Stan already sleeping on his armchair, a movie playing in the background on their tiny tv. She guessed she could talk to him tomorrow.

The time had gone by quickly for Danny, after he had taken Mabel home he had gone back into the forest to sleep another night. Luckily he hadn't come across any other creatures so far, but he doubted that would last for very long though. With there being another ghost in the area, there are bound to be some territorial creatures protecting their haunts.

Danny didn't feel like getting in a territory battle with another ghost, he had enough of them back at his haunt. And this time he would be coming into their home, so it is ruder of him to even be here.

Once again Danny slept up high in the trees, his sleep was about as good as you would expect, not like he would normally get sleep anyway. After he woke up it was already light out, he must have been really tired, but it was probably just that he was a little weaker from being away from his haunt.

He floated down and looked around the forest floor, thankful to see that there were no gnomes running around this time to yell at him. But, Danny was starting to get hungry. He didn't really feel like going into town and getting some food just yet.

He glanced around the trees and spotted a berry bush about 15 feet away at the base of one of the trees. He floated over to it and looked at it very closely. It had dark blue almost blackberries on it, and green leaves. At the base, there were a couple of small purple flowers.

Danny floated down to get a closer look at them, careful not to touch them, just in case. His body was horizontal with the ground as he floated just an inch above. He studied the berries closely with his hand on his chin. Maybe he should have been listing more closely to Sam's lectures on botany, and the types of plants that could kill you, and what her favorite ones are.

He remembers him and Tucker dosing off during it and her scolding them about how 'One day you guys will be stuck in a forest and need to know the difference between nightshade and blueberries. And don't come dyeing to me if you eat the wrong ones.' Man, he should have paid more attention.

"I wouldn't eat those if I were you DP."

Danny startled and fell to the ground with the sudden cheery voice. Then he heard a familiar chuckling in his head. Danny rolled his eyes. "Ancients Bill, give a ghost a warning next time!" Danny quickly stood up and turned around as the dream demon materialized behind him. "And I wasn't going to, without being sure." Danny crossed his arms.

"Of course you weren't."

Danny rolled his eyes again. "So, if I can't eat those what should I eat?" He started walking away from the berry bush and Bill, although Danny was sure that bill would be following him.

"You can go into town you know. They have lots of food there, the humans are all obsessed with food, I mean you can find some any place you go." Bill lounged around on his back as he floated around Danny in circles as he walked.

"I guess... I just didn't want to go into town again just yet. I'm not that hungry anyway." He waved the demon off.

"DP, just because you don't need to eat often doesn't mean you don't eat at all. You haven't eaten in what, 3 days?"

"I don't know whether to be mad that you have been spying on me for that long, or surprised that you are caring about my wellbeing." Danny raised an eyebrow.

Bill scoffed and closed his eye while crossing his arms. "I can't let you die of starvation, then who would I mess with?"

Danny smirked. "I thought you said you wouldn't help me if I was being killed by the hunters? Surely then, you wouldn't be able to annoy me anymore."

Bill rolled his eye. "But it's such a boring way to go, I would be known as the demon who made friends with the ghost who starved to death because he forgot to eat. If you are going to die it needs to be in a territory battle or from ghost hunters."

"So it would ruin your rep? aww, and here I thought you really cared." Danny put his hand over his core and leaned back as if he had been stabbed.

"Fine. I'll go into town." Danny continued. "But only so I don't disappoint your demon friends. And after that, I can go back to the Mystery Shack and do that thing with Wendy and her friends."

"Pushing it a little close there don't you think? Going to the home with the hunters, and hanging out with them. Tsk, tsk. I thought you would know better, DP."

"I know what I'm doing Bill, and besides I kinda already agreed to hang out." Danny rubbed the back of his neck. "I'll figure it out, and I can get out of there if I need to."

"Your re-funeral then." Bill spun his wrist around as a kind of fancy wave as he disappeared. "Your afterlife is like my own soap opera. I should get some popcorn in here."

Danny groaned but continued towards town, he heard there was a diner or something there that should do the trick.
