~Chapter 4~ My First Adventure!
"There are the lookouts, they have the best range of site of all the goblins, so they can alert us if anything is coming. We have a team to harvest the fruits and nuts high up in the trees, as well as pick berries and mushrooms! Oh, and a group of tempest wolves that chase after prey and the goblins can trap it and clean it for the rest of the village and the pelts can be used to make blankets and clothing!" Kayo excitedly explained to Rimuru as she rode on Ranga's back in her child form, her own tail wagging happily as she pointed it all out to the slime.
"That's great! What about housing, then?" He asked, pleased by the fox's contribution with the weaved baskets, they where very handy for bring back lots of edibles, but once he mentioned housing... she got quiet. "Um… about that... I'm not really great at construction." Kayo admitted sheepishly as they came up to a newly put together hut.
"I wouldn't call that a house." Rimuru said after quietly observing the 'house' the goblins had constructed... and how it fell with just a small breeze. Just in case, Rimuru was between Ranga's front paws, and the tempest wolf had its head resting on top of his slime master so he wouldn't fly away again.
"S-sorry." Kayo softly whined with her ears flat on her head and looking about to cry.
"Master Kayo it's not your fault, you did more than enough for us." Rigurd assured the small fox child and pet her head as he kneeled to comfort the small child out of his own parental instincts. "Please forgive us, Great Rimuru, for our own failings." Rigur asked the slime not wanting to see the fox child in tears and neither did Rimuru.
"As for your clothing." Rimuru tried to change the subject. As he looked at what kayo and the male goblins where wearing, then at the other goblins near by that just so happened to be female... and very busty~. "I-i think they're a little to revealing. That's not necessarily a bad thing but..." Rimuru started to say, looking away as to not get distracted, he was still male after all... kinda?
"When it gets colder you will need that protection from snow and ice. Not to mention the other stuff that can poke and prick at your skin or even poisonous animals." Kayo pointed out as Rigurd took her in his strong arms, giving her a proud smile. "Thank you for your kind consideration, Master Kayo. I'm sure we can figure something out." He told the fox kit and gave her a smile that made her blush and bury her face in his neck as her small arms wrapped around his thick neck in a sort of hug.
'Fuck! Why does he have to be such a hot, kind, beef daddy?!' Kayo was complaining in her own mind, cursing her human preferences in her past life, carrying over into her new one.
"Unfortunately, there is no one here with the skill to make them." Rigurd informed them sadly as he comforted the small fox child by rubbing her back with his large hand... avoiding her tail of course. "Huh? If you can't make them, couldn't you get them from somewhere?" Rimuru asked but Kayo cringed as he mentioned that, biting back her response to such a careless question.
"There are some with whom we have attempted to trade a few times. Aside from clothing they are also quite skilled so they may know how to build houses too." Rigurd suggested to the slime who agreed. "Well, we're getting nowhere this way. So maybe we should go see them. Who, and where are they?" Rimuru asked, wondering what and who these people were.
"They are the dwarves, and they live in Dwargon a few days travel form here." Rigurd informed, both the slime and fox kit perked up at their mention.
"DWARVES!?" Rimuru and Kayo asked in excitement.
"You mean the famous masters of metal working!?" Rimuru asked with excitement clear in his voice. "Do they live in a mountain and mine all the ore and Gems inside it to make tools, weapons and stuff!?" Kayo asked, excited as her tails wagging was clear and her golden eyes sparkled with interest. "I'll try going to Dwargon. Rigurd, can you look after the village while I'm away?" Rimuru asked the elder Goblin whom he had given the role of Goblin Lord to just this morning. Setting down the fox child Rigurd happily responded.
"Yes sir! Leave everything to me!" He gave a shinning smile to the slime as Kayo giggled and looked away. "It was so worth it teaching him those poses~." She giggled to herself as she enjoyed the gun show.
"Also take care of Kayo, she's too little to take on a journey like this." Rimuru added and Kayo gasped and looked devastated. "Hey! No fair! I wanna go see the dwarves too!" Kayo voiced and pouted cutely as she glared at the slime. "Hmm no. Your safer in the village, and you can help Rigurd out too." Rimuru tried to reason, it had all been smooth sailing with the fox until now, and he didn't like that look in her eyes.
"No! Rigurd is more than capable of taking care of the village. Don't underestimate him slime ball. Not to mention we will need someone to guide us to Dwargon, and we would be faster on the back of the tempest wolves." She pointed out to him and the slime saw her point, but not how the goblins looked at Kayo is surprise at how she addressed Rimuru disrespectfully.
"Okay, good points… but still not a reason for you to come with us. Your too small and would only slow us down." He lightly scolded her, once again wondering her mental age. "Master, the little one can ride on my back with you. It is no trouble, and I will protect her should she get into any trouble." Ranga offered.
"Not helping, Ranga." The slime scolded the wolf but was running out of reasons not to take the little fox with them.
"See! I'll be fine. Also your gonna need a lot of cunning to deal with Dwarves. They won't even give us a glance if we don't come up with something really good to offer them for their hard-earned skills. It's not something you can gain instantly; it takes decades, or even lifetimes to get even close to their level of skill!" Kayo pointed out and she could see the slime's resolve weakening. "Let me go with you! I have certain skills that will find us a perfect dwarf to help us with our problems." She added and that caught the slime's attention.
"Skill? What would that be?" he asked her and she seemed confident with her little chest puffed out proudly.
"With my Unique Skill: Match Maker!" She announced to him but Rimuru didn't seemed impressed with her 'skill' but the goblins seemed to be really impressed she even HAD a Unique Skill.
"Eeyup~! And when combined with my other skill Catalog, I can find the perfect person for the job we need. No interviews, no trial and error, and no bull! It's a great time saver! I used it to pair up the goblins and wolves and give them duties bases on their skills, strength, and stamina. You can't afford NOT to have me come with you!" Kayo gloated proudly as she flexed her own tiny body, and Rigurd happily copied her poses.
"Master Kayo is correct! I have run this village long before you were even a dew drop, Great Rimuru! I can assure you the village will survive both your absences long enough for you to bring back what is needed." Rigurd backed up the little fox child who was looking expectedly at the slime.
"Okay, fine. You can come." Rimuru gave in, finding it easier to just let the fox child come. She would be a killer negotiator and time saver to help them find who they needed any way.
"Yay! I will go inform the others! Rigur! You and your wolf will be coming with us! So be prepared to leave soon!" Kayo ordered the goblin who nodded with a smile. "Yes, Master Kayo. It is an honor." The goblin chuckled as he saw the little fox child run to get the other members of their party.
Rimuru only sighed tiredly. 'Hmm well at least I don't have to worry about putting a party together… I wonder what this catalog skill is.' He questioned and Great sage informed him.
-The Skill: Catalog is used to document and list large groups of information for the user to recall later as needed. Would you like to gain this skill?-
'I can learn this skill too?! It sounds useful but…' The slime pondered as in no time Kayo came back in her child from with 3 other goblins and their wolves, all ready to head out. "Ready! Gobta says he knows the way and he's made the trip a lot before! So he can guide us to the dwarves kingdom and the wolves can get us there super-fast! It should only take a few days!" she happily explained and was bouncing with excitement as she gave Rimuru a bright and trusting smile.
'M-maybe I will pass on this skill. I don't really need it.' He thought as he could almost feel his heart being pierced by the fox child's excited bright smile.
~On The Way To Dwargon~
"Wow! So fast!" Kayo giggled with excitement as she was on the back of Ranga with Rimuru in front of her as the wolfed powered up a steep incline, following the path of the river that flowed threw the Jura Forest with Gobta and his wolf leading them. "Yeah. Hey, there's no need to push yourself too hard." Rimuru advised the tempest wolf as he was worried about them overexerting themselves. "Hey, Ranga! Can you run faster?" Kayo asked with childlike glee, and it seemed the wolf miss took it as an order.
"Yes, Master!" the wolf nodded and ran even faster along with his pack mates who followed suit.
"Weeee~!" Kayo laughed and enjoyed the speed, the wind in her face and hair blowing back, not minding that the slime had lost his grip and she was the only thing keeping him from falling off. "Ahhhhhh! Why are you going even faster!?" Rimuru questioned as he tried to get his grip back on the wolf but clung to Kayo who used her two tails to help keep the slime in place as they ran up the steep hill and across the landscape.
It was only around sunset that the wolves started to slow down.
"Okay… lets make camp for the night." Rimuru suggested as he was a little shaken form the fast ride and slipped off Ranga's back once Kayo removed her tails. 'I never liked rollercoasters.' He though as Kayo hopped off the wolf's back and eagerly pet the star wolf for his job well done. "Good Boy Ranga! You where super-fast! One day, I wanna be just as fast as you!" she declared to the wolf who chuckled as he panted tiredly. "I'm sure you will little one." He mussed kindly as the other's followed and took a rest near the river, the wolves getting a nice cool drink. Rimaru was talking with Rigur as Kayo was showing off her most recent skill.
'Fire Ball!' Kayo thought and blew at the small tent of stick they gathered as some flames came out of her mouth and lit the sticks up into a nice cozy fire. The other two goblins applauded and praised her for the skill. "Thanks. I learn it all by myself." She told them proudly, puffing out her chest as she went to the last goblin in their party, a little hesitant to talk to him but she kinda had too.
"Hey Gobta. You still alive?" Kayo asked as she poked the goblin with a stay stick to see if he was dead. "Yeah… just… give me… a bit." The goblin wheezed, concerning the fox child a little as she looked at his unchanged body.
'Why didn't he change like the others? I smelt the change in him too. Is he not healthy?' She questioned worriedly as she could see the bones in his arms and his belly was bloated. 'That doesn't look normal... maybe I should ask Rimaru for- No I can't start thinking like that.' She shook her head and got a determined look, in a puff of black smoke she turned back into her kit form.
"Master Kayo? Is something wrong?" the female goblin asked worriedly as she put some fish on the fire for them to eat. "I'm just gonna go get some herbs. BRB." She told them and rushed of into the forest to sniff out what she needed but was careful not to go too far. Her nose on the ground and in the air she picked up some familiar herbs, and slipped them into her tails for keeping as she looked and gathered more.
It was very dark by the time she finished but Kayo could see fine in the dark as she turned back to rejoin her party her ears picked up a strange sound.
Keeessssss
Kayo froze at the strange noise, carefully moving her eyes and sniffing around to find the source.
Keeessssss
'Oh god... please don't let me be in trouble already.' She was thinking as she didn't smell anything out of place, or that would be a danger to her. 'What's making that noise?' she wondered and heard some bushes rustling, her eyes caught site of a bush on her right shaking.
Keeeeessss
Came the noise again as Kayo stiffened and suppressed a whine. "Big brother?" she called softly, not thinking about her words when she called for the slime. Taking slow steps away from the bushes, she stopped and jumped away to her left to avoid something big, it was a white color with many glowing red eyes. 'What is that!?' Kayo questioned as she backed away only to feel something sticky on her back paws. 'What? Are those webs!?' she realized in panic as the giant white spider jumped at her and Kayo froze... as she saw her reflection in the spider's many eyes.
~Later~
"KAYO!" Rimaru called out to the little fox as it had been too long since she had left, and it was dark for a while now. "I knew bringing her was a bad idea. Why did I let her talk me into letting her come?" Rimuru grumbled worriedly. As Ranga sniffed the ground for her scent… but it was tricky as the little Void fox had learned how to hide her tracks well from her father.
"I can't smell her master. I've failed you." Ranga whined in worry for the little kit and what could have happened to her. "It's not your fault Ranga. She wanted to come, and she went off on her own. When we find her, I'm grounding her big time!" Rimuru grumbled and tried to think that they would find her when Rigur spotted something. "There! Something moving!" he called out as everyone's attention was on what was moving… but it was big and white?
"That's not Master Kayo." The female Goblin voiced worriedly as the thing came closer and out came the body of a large spider… being dragged by a 3 tailed fox kit. "Aghh so heavy. Hmm?" Kayo turned around and happily greeted the goblins.
"Hey guys! I brought some food! Spiders are really tasty!" she cheerfully exclaimed, and they all looked at her in shock as the spider was easily 3 times her size!
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?" Rimuru asked, as he too was shocked Kayo would leave with 2 tails then come back with 3 and a large dead spider!
"Oh? Um… I went to get some herbs because Gobta didn't look well and I didn't want to ask you for a healing potion... so I went to get some herbs to help." Kayo explained and dug into her tails to pull out some of the herbs. "See! Then I was gonna head back but this spider appeared, and it had me in its web! But then I used my Skill: Fire Ball to burn it all and we started fighting." Kayo explained proudly as her tails wagged behind her.
"I dogged and weaved around the spider's webs and it's legs before I slipped under its belly and used my claws to make an opening before I threw a fire ball at it to roast it from the inside! I was so bad ass! You had to see it! It was amazing for my first fight!" Kayo cheered and bounced happily, proud of her achievement and gaining a new tail and a new skill, Void Pocket.
"That's good but… You're grounded." Rimur told the happy fox kit who stopped bouncing and looked at him shocked and confused. "GROUNDED!?" she questioned loudly then any of them would have expected her to be.
Rimuru nodded.
"Yes, grounded. You had us worried something happened to you so you're not to leave my side for the rest of this trip and when we get back you can NOT leave the village. Am I clear!?" he asked, and Kayo puffed out at the command. "No! I was fine! I handled myself well on my own! I didn't even go that far, you're not my dad! So don't tell me what to do you stupid SLIME!" Kayo yelled like a spoiled teenager but… she wasn't… not that Rimuru knew as he got upset with her and…
"GREAT RIMURU!" the goblins and the wolves looked on in shock as the slime came over the 3 tailed kit and she only had time to yelp before the slime engulphed her into his body. "M-master!?" Ranga whined. Scared, and worried for the kit, but he and the goblins where relived when he spit the fox kit back out, only now she had a blue collar with a small sliver bell around her neck.
"EW! EW! EW! EW!" Kayo screamed as she rolled around in the grass, degusted by being eaten by the slime and spit back out, the bell jiggling all the while. "Ah, Great Rimuru?" Rigur carefully approached the slime, unsure of what had just happened or what the slime would do next.
"Hm? Yes Rigur?" he tined to the goblin who flinched.
"What did you do to her? Is that… grounding?" Rigur asked unsurely as he glanced at the fox kit calming down from the ordeal.
"No. I just healed her, she had a few scratches on her but nothing very dangerous. She's lucky the spider didn't bite her." He muttered as he recognized this kind of spider as being venomous. He saw Ranga come to comfort the kit who noticed her new accessory and played with it in her confusion.
'Still, she leveled up from fighting it. She's growing up so fast and learning new skills on her own. This Unique skill of hers' too... it's not just for love… but jobs and friendships too?' Rimuru noticed as he had 'eaten' her and analyzed her condition and body. 'A mix of Void and Fire Kitsune with three tails and a reincarnated human of an unknown age.' Rimuru looked after the fox as she went to the female goblin to help her mix the herbs and give it to Gobta who was indeed feeling a bit under the weather.
'I hope she isn't too mad at me.' Rimaru pondered as they settled for the night. Kayo coming to rest on top of him… and he noticed she had grained some weight. 'It's fine.' He assured himself as she was still smaller than him... for now.
~Next Day~
Kayo avoided the slime and Ranga by his proximity to Rimuru, making the tempest wolf feel sad without the fox kit. Instead, the fox was in her slightly bigger human fox from. She had gotten taller and her hair long enough to put into a little ponytail, the tips of her dark hair with an inch of white at the ends. Two of her tails tails wrapped around her waist leaving one to move freely behind her. She was still in the same goblin rags as the others, but they seem to still fit her small frame a little tighter. Her skin was still as tan as leather, her face round and childlike, with big golden eyes and thick dark lashes with small bow like lips.
The fox child rode with Gobta that day despite Rimuru giving him a health potion after Kayo and the goblina gave him some herbs, making the foxes efforts worthless for the sake of speed and their mission. 'I can see that she's still mad at me. I should ask her how old she was… or would that make her even more mad at me?' Rimuru pondered while they moved farther and farther away from the goblin village and towards their destination. "Women are so complicated." Rimuru sighed outload as they stopped after another full day's travel.
"That's pretty cool, your awesome Kayo!" Rimuru heard Gobta praise the fox child who giggled as they slipped off his wolf partner.
"Thanks, Gobta. It was scarry facing it on my own, but I did it!" Kayo responded as Gobta raise his hand and so did the fox child, meeting his hand with hers' up in the air as they both grinned like the best of friends with a high 5 gesture she had taught the goblin.
'Looks like their getting along.' Rimuru thought as they set up camp and Kayo used her fire balls to light the fire. The goblins of course clapped and praised her for her ability. "That's amazing Master Kayo. It's so useful for everyday and battle, I'm a little envious." Rigur applauded the fox child who happily soaked up the praise. "Thanks! I worked hard to learn it. Apparently, my mother was a Fire Kitsune but she never taught me anything, she was too busy with my brothers and sisters to look after me so, my father took care of me and taught me how to erase my tracks and scent!" Kayo happily told them and was a little sad thinking of her fox family.
Rimuru listened in, curious about the past of his little fox 'pet'.
"Oh! And here is a new one I learned! Ta Da!" kayo smiled as she reached into her tails and pulled out 4 large rabbits that had been shot by arrows from them. This shocked everyone but Gobta, his wolf and Rimuru, having seen the three go off course for a moment for some reason, then rejoin them before the others could notice.
"Wow! Did you capture whose all by yourself too?" the goblina asked in amazement as she was handed the rabbits to start prepping them for dinner. "Yeah! I've been working on my bow and arrow skills! Also thanks to Gobta for pointing out the rabbits to me and Beta for picking them up." Kayo mentioned as she gave Gobta's wolf a head pat, making Ranga whine with jealousy.
"There, There. Let her calm down and I'm sure she will give you all the head pats and belly rubs you could want." Rimuru assured Ranga as the wolf pouted and watched the fox child happily eat the cooked rabbit meat and feed some to his subordinate from across the campfire.
"Gobta."
"Y-yes?" Gobta responded as his mouth was fill of food, being told to eat by Kayo to help get his strength up.
"What is the town were heading for like?" Rimuru asked him and the goblin had to think for a bit. "W-well... officially it's called 'The Armed Nation of Dwargon'. It's a beautiful city constructed from a modified cave system, and it's home to a lot more then Dwarves but elves, humans and lots more." Gobta explained but he seemed to have lost Rimuru when he said elves.
"Elves!?" Rimuru repeated and Kayo noticed him sound a little dreamy as he thought his next words and some odd playful giggling. Her golden eyes narrowed at the slime as she smirked… having found a weakness to the slime... and had dastardly plans to exploit it.
"The Dwarf King, Gazel Dwargo, is known as the Hero King. He's deeply admired by all the people." Gobtia kept going but noticed that Rimuru's mind was elsewhere.
"Great Rimaru?" Rigur called out to the slime, snapping him out of his elf filled imagination. "I-is it okay for monsters like me and Kayo to enter Dwargon?" Rimuru asked, worried that they may not be allowed.
"No need to worry, Dwargon is a neutral free-trade city. All fighting is prohibited by the king." Rigur assured them but looked at Kayo. "Kitsunes are rare, but I think Master Kayo would be allowed to enter as your loyal pet, and she's still very small. Ranga you would have a harder time just getting through the gates as you would be given offers to buy him before your even enter." Rigur mussed as Kay looked at the fire in understanding. 'It's because I'm small… and if Ranga can't be used as a guard dog, you could make two coats and accessories easy from him.' She thought grimly.
"I see." Rimaru nodded, understanding and was planning on leaving Ranga behind anyway, a cave city was no place for a storm wolf after all. "And that's made possible by, The Armed Nation of Dwargon's immense military might. It's said that the dwarven army has been undefeated for a thousand years." Rigur added in amazement, Kayo knew he had some interest in military strategies and had potential to be a great leader to the goblins when his father would pass.
"A thousand years?" Rimuru parroted in surprise.
"Last time I went there they picked a fight with me outside the gate." Gobta muttered lowly as he looked away in shame but Rigur was speaking over him. "There won't be any trouble!" Rigur assured the powerful slime, but Kayo was sitting next to Gobta and heard him full well.
'Hm? I'm pretty sure a huge red flag just went up... was it just me?' Rimuru thought at Kayo to see if she heard what Gobta said about his last visit. Kayo didn't respond and just ate her cooked rabbit, not even looking at the slime, but the wheels in her head were turning and plotting something.
~Two Days Later~
"Is that it!?" Kayo asked as she was still riding with Gobta on his wolf, having spotted an odd structure in the mountains at the end of the well-worn path they where on.
"Yeah! We're almost there! It would have taken me 2 months just to get here!" Gobtia explained in excitement and started to pet his wolf and paise it. "Man having you guys is the best! You're really fast and strong!" he praised his wolf who was very happy for the praise as its tail wagged happily.
'So that's where the elves...I mean, the Dwarves are, huh? I hope some beautiful elves...I mean skilled dwarves are waiting there for us.' Rimaru corrected his thoughts, but Kayo could hear them all, a devilish smirk on her face and a mischievous aura around her.
"Um... Master Kayo, are you alright?" Gobta asked, a little worried about the aura that was right behind him. "I'm just fine Gobta... I just have some… plans to get back at Rimuru for gobbling me up." She told him with a soft giggle and the aura went away and the goblin slowly relaxed as the approached the end of the tree line. "Are you sure you just want to go in with Gobta and Master Kayo, Great Rimaru?" Rigur asked, looking worried at the three where walking down the path without the wolves and the other goblins.
"Yeah. We don't want to draw to much attention by being in a big group. I'll take Gobta to show me the way and Kayo is still grounded." Rimaru added but this time he felt the Fox child's glare on him as Rigur and Ranga looked worried. "We'll be fine!" Gobta gave him a forced smile of assurance, because he was sure what happen to him would happen again, even with Kayo and Rimuru with him.
"Don't worry. We'll be back soon, so wait for us here." Rimuru ordered the goblins and wolves as the trio started for the gates of Dwargon. "Please be careful." Rigur said his parting words and Ranga howled in sorrow for being left behind.
~At The Gates of Dwargon~
"So cool~! Like something right out of a pro Minecrafter's build world!" Kayo muttered as she looked up at the mountain and the gate house that blocked them from just wondering into the dwarven city. That statement raised even more questions Rimuru had for the fox kid's pre reincarnation age.
"This is quiet the line, they must be strict about checking everyone." Rimaru voiced and Kayo shrugged. "Lines a comic con where way longer, this is nothing." She scoffed at the line as she poked her head around the people to she where they where entering and being checked. Of course Gobta's bag would be checked but she and Rimuru had nothing on them... not that they would know that she now had a small void spade among her tails she stored some things in. Like the bow and arrows Gobta gave her to hunt game, some furs from those rabbits, a few herbs, some edible berries, and pretty rocks she picked up along the way.
"Hey! Hey, Hey, Hey!" Kayo heard an awful voice behind them, turning around she saw two thug looking men looking down on them. "What's a couple of monsters doing here?" The sorter of the two thugs scowled at them. "We're not inside yet, so we can still kill it right?" The taller one with a deep X shaped scare in his head and a large screw spoke up and pulled out a knife as Kayo glared at them.
"Hey? Did you guys hear something?" Rimaru asked calmly as he faced these to unsavory characters, and sensed Kayo really didn't like them as she could smell their sprits that probably didn't smell too good. "Yes, I did. I was beat up here last time I tried to get in, too. It's the fate of us weak monsters." Gobta explained as he shook in fear, but he wasn't the only one who seemed bothered by these two men as the rest of the people in line seemed to want to avoid them as well.
"Hey! weakling monsters! Don't ignore us!" The short one yelled as his partner seemed to get a 'bright' idea. "Wait, Isn't a talking slime pretty rare? I bet we could make a fortune off it!" the man with a screw loose in his head suggested and it pissed Kayo off. "What are you worms talking about? Do you really want to die that badly?" Kayo asked as she grinned sinisterly, showing off her sharp fangs as she tilted her head slowly in an off-putting manner.
Their scent burning her nostrils with their fowl stench...
"Gobta. Do you remember our first rule?" Rimuru asked as he could see where this was going, and he wasn't sure if he could stop the fox child this time. "O-of sourse sir! Rule one: No attacking Humans!" Gobta repeated the rule with a salute. "Right. Now close your eyes and covered your ears. Don't look this way whatever you do." Rimuru instructed a confused goblin but the men where already reaching out for a pissed off fox eagerly developing her combat skills.
"What you call us you little-? Ha, maybe we could sell you too? Not every day you see a Kitsune with black hair." the shorter of the two mussed as he licked his lips, eyeing the fox child up and down with impure eyes. So when reached out to grab the fox child by her hair, only to receive a punch to his very large gut by the very angry little fox, letting her hair go in the process. That one punch sent him about 5 feet from where he was standing and lay him flat on his back. "What the!?" The tall man only had time to blink before she was on him. Kayo hissed some strange language into his ear menacingly, but it still made him turn white with fear before the fox child kicked him in the back and sent him flying. Making him land on top of his partner that was still recovering from the fox's punch.
Kayo landed on her feet and huffed as she crossed her arms. "No one is allowed to make a profit off my brother but me!" Kayo yelled at the two men who groaned as they where being healed by a mage and several other people that suddenly appeared, possibly making an adventuring party. 'Brother?' Rimuru questioned, more stunned by her words then by the fox child's speed and strength when compared to full grown male humans. "Hey, there. I'm a generous sort, so I'll spare you if you leave now. Get out of here." Rimuru approached, get between then and Kayo who pouted, muttering something he couldn't understand.
"Y-you're just a puny little weakling monster. Don't you mess with us! That was just a dirty trick by your dirty little fox!" The short blond one accused as he recovered and glared at the now disinterested fox child. "Your dead now! I was gonna let you live, but you pissed us off!" the bald one yelled but never made a move on the slime… not while Kayo was giving them a disturbing unblinking look.
"A puny, little weakling Monster? Are you referring to me?" Rimuru asked, Kayo rolled her eyes as she could tell he was going for the cocky flamboyant villain role this time. "Who else would we be referring to!?" The short one yelled angrily at Rimuru as Kayo sat out the ground, board.
"Oi! Slime ball! Finish them off already! Cut the theatrics we got a line to wait in!" Kayo yelled at him as Rimuru pouted as his fun was ruined. "I was trying to avoid it but... Allow me to show you my true form!" he voiced as there was black smoke all around him, Kayo sitting up, interested in this ability he had that was a bit like her own transformation.
Only... the little slime ball became a huge Ranga with two horns on his head, Kayo had to hold in an unintentional laugh with her hands as she watched. Her free tail wagging in excitement as to what would come next.
"Ha! You just changed your appearance!" the shorter man scoffed as he pulled out his sword. "Did you think you could scare us off with that?" the taller man voiced but he did take a step back away from the giant tempest wolf. Both trying to look brave, but Kayo saw threw his act and was already board as she yawned, now noticing heavy footstep approaching from the gates
"Oh, seems the guards are finally here. Somethings never change, and it was getting good... nope that was just pathetic now." Kayo pouted as the moment she turned away to look at the guards, the 'fight' was over. She did hear Rimaru roar, but it seemed to have no effect on her aside form it being really loud.
"Hey! You there!" Kayo looked back at the lead guard man, possibly the captain. He came up to them and Rimuru whom changed back into his slime form and that got the guard to stop and stare at the little blue ball before them.
"A slime?" the captain questioned as Rimuru was cheeky and trying to be cute as he faced the guards.
They were promptly thrown in a jail cell.
