Yuki's POV
"It's starting." Cleo told me as the sky darkened above us.
"Right." I nodded "If these worlds combine then there won't be an earth left to save."
I had lost track of Shark and Dumon whole trailing them, but before I could catch up things only seemed to get worse, there was a full blown Barian attack now and they had a device that was absorbing people who came into contact with their emblem.
"We need to handle this, quickly." I told her.
"Right." She nodded.
We turned around and saw Luna with the others, there wasn't much time before these worlds collided and then who knows what might happen, we needed to quash this quickly, I had seen parts of Shark's memories, but I can only reassure him, I can't force him to believe certain things.
Yuma had just returned from the Astral World, with Astral in toe, and defeated the last of the Barian's initial force, but not long after that happened a beam of light came out of the dimensional portal and split into seven separate beams.
"They're here." Cleo warned.
"I know, I can feel it." I told her turning around.
We had a bigger problem then the Barian Emperors showing up, Kite had been KOed during a duel and Yuma had to step in, and with Shark gone we were down two of our strongest duelists.
Those beams of light landed and we were faced with Seven Powerful duelists from the Barian world, Vector, Alito, Girag, Mizar, Dumon and two more, Rio and Shark.
"So this is what you decided." I paused.
"Whoa what the heck's going on?!" Yuma yelled.
"Hmm." Luna looked up at them with a small glare.
"UGH!" I groaned a bit as Cleo took over our body.
"Boy!" She yelled drawing his attention "This is the choice you made is it? If you think this is what you want so be it, but if you're standing in the way we'll crush you!"
"I don't know who you're talking about." He said "My name is Nash."
"HMMM" I took back over "Knock it off."
"You ingrate!" Cleo snapped.
"Be quiet." I pushed her back out of control "So you're serious about this are you?"
There was a bright flash of light as the Barian's took on their true forms which were a multitude of colors and tones.
"So this is how it is then." I felt the red ring on my hand starting to glow with anger before I suppressed it "It's just sad…you had a chance to save this world and you threw away everything about who you are, your friends and people who care about you, Rio…Shark."
I stared up at them "I'm so disappointed in both of you, you've let the past trump the present, memories hundreds of years old don't surpass who you are now! You don't understand the nature of the soul at all!"
"That doesn't matter, if they stand in the way of saving this world, then they are our enemies." Cleo warned.
"I know."
"We don't have to fight like this." Yuma said.
"It's what's been decided." Nash told him "It's destiny."
"No it's not!" Yuma told him "When people duel with all their heart they become friends. Barian, human whatever you'd throw it all away like that?"
He's learned a lot, I don't think I've had a hero mature this much…
Suddenly the key Yuma wore started to glow and it shot off a beam of light that connected with Nash's pendant, the blinding flash was brief but somehow it knocked Yuma out cold.
"Get him out of here." I told the others "Cleo and I will deal with them, staying here with Kite and Yuma in that condition will only make things worse for them. Luna go with them!"
"After them!" Nash yelled.
I moved my hand up quickly to try and use a binding power to hold them there, but my feet soon become stuck.
"Ice?" I looked up "So you'll stop me too, Rio?"
"Marin." She looked at me "I'm sorry but I can't let you stop them."
"I wanted to stop your brother but I guess I'll have to leave that to the others."
"Very well girl." Cleo engaged our Duel Disk "Prepare to have your ice shattered!"
Luna's POV
We used Quinton's jeep to flee the Barian Emperors. Before they showed up Kite had tried dueling Hartland before Yuma got back, and he took too much damage and ended up unconscious from the feedback.
"We're being chased." I looked back "It's Mizar!"
"I've found you already." He said.
"I'm getting out here!" I yelled "I can handle this guy! You have to get Kite out of here!"
I jumped out onto the roof "Divine Dome!"
I held my arms out and my god gem necklace glowed, projecting a wall that stopped Mizar.
"You and I have never finished a duel you know." I smiled "First on the mountain I passed out, then in the Duel Graveyard Yuki stopped the duel before we could finish, this time I'm taking you down!"
"You continue standing in my way, priestess of the gods?" He said.
"I'm no Priestess just a helper." I smiled.
"You won't stop me." He said.
"But I will." I said.
Cleo's POV
"Duel." I engaged my disk against Marin "You can go first."
"Fine, I summon Blizzard Falcon."
Blizzard Falcon- LVL 4 ATK 1500 DEF 1500
"Then I play the spell card Blizzard Vision! With this I can target one Water attribute monster I control and treat this card as a second copy of it on the field.
Blizzard Vision Token- LVL 4 ATK 0 DEF 0
"Now I overlay both my monsters to summon Number 103: Ragnazero!"
I felt the air get cold as a huge ice princess with two curved icicle swords appeared.
Number 103: Ragnazero- RANK 4 ATK 2400 DEF 1200 OVRL 2
"I set a card and end my turn." Marin said.
"I go then." I drew "Since you control more monsters than me I can special summon Evilswarm Mandragora from my hand.
Evilswarm Mandragora- LVL 4 ATK 1550 DEF 1450
"Then I summon Evilswarm Castor."
Evilswarm Castor- LVL 4 ATK 1750 DEF 550
I now had a corrupted little plant and an evil knight on the field.
"The turn Evilswarm Castor is normal summoned I can perform a second Normal Summon of an Lswarm monster." I explained "So I'll summon Evilswarm Thunderbird!"
Evilswarm Thunderbird- LVL 4 ATK 1650 DEF 1050
"Now I overlay my monsters to summon Evilswarm Ouroboros!"
Evilswarm Ouroboros- RANK 4 ATK 2750 DEF 1950 OVRL 3
A massive three headed dragon with black and white scales appeared.
"I set two face down cards." I told her "Then attack Ragnazero!"
Marin's LP- 4000 to 3650
"I end my turn." I said, since I didn't attack with a Number Ragnazero wasn't destroyed.
"I play the spell Zero Blade, I can target a monster and let it attack twice this turn." Marin said using it on Ragnazero "It also makes a monster you control lose 1000 ATK points."
Evilswarm Ouroboros- ATK 2750 to 1750.
"Now I detach an overlay unit from Ragnazero to activate its effect, if your monster's attack is less than it's original attack it is destroyed and I draw one card!"
"I activate the trap card Fiendish Chain!" I said "I can target an effect monster and negate it's abilities, this stops your Ragnazero from destroying my Ouroboros!"
"That's fine, my monster can still attack twice!" Marin said destroying my monster.
"GAH!" I hissed.
Yuki- 4000 to 3350
"And again!" Marin yelled as her monsters slashed me.
Yuki- 3350 to 950
"It's my turn then?" I said drawing "I play the spell Pot of Dichotomy! With this I shuffle three monsters of different types from my grave into my deck and then draw two cards, but I can't conduct a battle phase this turn."
I returned my three XYZ materials from last turn to the deck.
"I summon Evilswarm Salamandra!" I said as a corrupted dinosaur in metal armor appeared.
Evilswarm Salamandra- LVL 4 ATK 1850 DEF 950
"Since I normal summoned a monster the effect of Kagetokage in my hand allows me to special summon it.
Kagetokage- LVL 4 ATK 1100 DEF 1500
"I'll also play the Spell Allure of Darkness with this I draw two cards and then banish a DARK monster from my hand." I said drawing two and discarding Evilswarm O'Lantern. "Then the spell card DDR Different Dimension Reincarnation! This allows me to discard one and revive a banished monster, like the one I just discarded. So my Evilswarm O'Lantern comes back!"
Evilswarm O'Lantern- LVL 4 ATK 1650 DEF 1250
"Now I overlay all three of my monsters to summon Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon!"
Thunderclouds opened above as the glowing blue electric dragon descended.
Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon- RANK 4 ATK 2400 DEF 2000 OVRL 3
I may not be able to attack this turn but I can stall her for one more turn, use God's Draw on my next turn and get Rank Up Magic God's Force to stop her. My facedown card is Infestation Pandemic, a spell card that protects my Lswarm monsters so it won't be able to protect Thunder Spark Dragon…
"I end my turn." I said.
"Then I'll go." Marin said as her deck suddenly started glowing "This is…"
"That light…" Cleo hissed "It's like God's drawn"
"Chaos Draw!" Marin pulled a card from her deck.
"I play the spell Rank Up Magic: The Seventh One! Which allows me to Overlay my Ragnazero with itself to summon an even stronger monster, Number C103: Ragnafinity!"
Marin's Ice monster reemerged in dark purple armor and wielding a powerful scythe.
Number C103: Ragnafinity- RANK 5 ATK 2800 DEF 2400 OVRL 3
"It's stronger than my Dragon!" I yelled.
Luna's POV
"The heck is that thing." I looked up at a massive dragon, it was pure gold and had three heads.
Number C107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon- RANK 9 ATK 4500 DEF 3500 OVRL 3
My side of the field had Number 22 Zombiestein and nothing else.
Number 22: Zombiestein- RANK 8 ATK 4500 DEF 1000 OVRL 2
"Damn this sucks." I sighed "I have a Buster Blader Deck built around defeating dragons and I can't beat your or Kite, pathetic."
NO POV
Yuki and Luna were both defeated, but in the end it was fine, after all Yuma was the real hero, they were just supposed to guide him. With the lessons he learned and the powers he gained he was able to defeat Vector, Nash and Don Thousand. For now the world would be at peace again, but soon it's greatest crisis ever would begin, one that shook even the Gods' faith in their creations but for now Yukia and Luna were free to spend time with the friends they made here…at least they could savor that while it lasted.
For Yuki especially time had become inconsequential, she had accepted her longevity, the loss, the pain and sadness, but for Luna that pain would stay fresh, so she took Yuki's advice and soaked in every moment she could with her friends, every duel she could with Kite, but maybe that was a mistake, cause when time came, it only made saying goodbye harder and more crippling.
Yuki ended up with a couple decades to dwell on that before she had her next vision or a hero…or heroes, this vision was so hazy, so unclear, there were four stars revolving around a larger star and she briefly saw the flash of a young boy's face, but it was hazy and dark, shadowed from her view, the Gods were unable to provide more insight, even then knew little of what would be coming.

I have a pretty good idea for Decks Yuki and Luna will use in the next series. I probably could have stretched ZEXAL a little longer but I felt like there was really nothing more for Yuki/Cleo and Luna to do in it.
