Midoriya Izuku: The Origin
Japan
Musutafu City
"I won't denigrate dreams but you need to be realistic kid." All Might had left him with those words, they cut through him worse than the cold winds blowing across the rooftops.
Izuku just stood there on top of the building, thinking his thoughts seemed sluggish as if his brain was slowing down, he peered over the edge of the building with a look of utter apathy.
"Maybe you should take a swan dive off a roof and wish for your Quirk in the next life." Kacchan's cruel words echoed with All Might's own.
'Maybe I should just do it. Would anyone even miss me, the useless Deku?" Izuku thought to himself as he looked over the town.
He thought about his mum, her kind smile and loving personality she would probably be the only person in the entire world to miss him, He had not heard anything from his Dad Hisashi in a few month since he went abroad for work though they still got payments every month from him, he always called on Izuku's and his Mum's birthdays each time looking more and more tired. Izuku was worried for his Father but he couldn't do anything while he was over in America.
A horrifically loud bang echoed throughout the town and caught Izuku's attention and he looked over to see a huge blast of air and then the weather changed and it began to pour rain from the sky.
It fell over Izuku who sighed as he got wet, "Well I guess I should go home." He sighed and walked to the door. It must have been a Pro Hero fighting a Villain sudden changes in weather was unusual even in this world of Quirks.
Midoriya Apartment
"Oh my, Izuku what happened to you?" Inko asked him shocked at the entranceway to their apartment, she went over to mother him, leading the young boy into their home.
"You're soaked." She continued unhappily running her fingers through his hair.
"It's okay Mum, I read that it was All Might who altered the weather because he was fighting a Villain." Izuku explained with a tired smile.
"Okay, you need to have a shower and I'll get dinner ready okay honey." Inko said to him gently.
Izuku smiled at his Mum and nodded walking past her to the bathroom.
It took him around 20 minutes before he was sat at their dining table clean and somewhat refreshed his thoughts still weighed the young boy down but he perked up when his Mum placed the Katsudon on the table.
"Katsudon." He said happily looking over the steaming hot food, his mouth watering already.
Inko didn't say anything but Izuku could tell why she had cooked his favourite, he had come in wet and miserable so she was doing her best to cheer him up.
"Thanks Mum." He said happily and began to dig in.
Inko just smiled at her son, it was a sad smile her Izuku is such a strong boy despite his Quirklessness always forging ahead despite everything the world threw at him.
She truly hoped he would find a new way to help people. He was a smart boy maybe as a Police Officer or even a Doctor, being a Pro Hero was dangerous work and Inko didn't know if she could bear to see him go out and fight Villains especially since he did not have a Quirk himself.
Elsewhere
A dark room humming with machines and decorated with huge tanks filled with liquid and shadows of humanoid forms, this was Kyudai Garaki's personal and secret laboratory where he supported All For One and his Organisation from the shadows.
In one part of the lab away from the machines and tanks was a small medical area and two figures sat in it, one was facing a screen that was emblazoned with the words 'SOUND ONLY' and had multiple wires attached to his body as well as fluids being entered into his body by some of the medical equipment and the other seemed to be petting a small animal with one hand and looking at a tablet computer with the other his face lit up only by the light from the tablet revealing huge glasses.
"All Might revealed his weakened form to a boy today." Kyudai informed the other sitting figure.
"So the damage has finally caught up with him, that is good." The shadowed figure said his voice dripping with amusement.
"I have been looking into the boy who knows; his name is Midoriya Izuku and he was one of the children I had looked after as Tsubasa after you were defeated by One For All." Kyudai informed him.
"And is there anything special about this boy?" All For One asked in a bored manner his eyeless face starring ahead.
"I diagnosed him as Quirkless, I only caught snippets of the conversation in order to not let All Might know that we are spying on him. It appears the boy wished to know if he could be a Hero without a Quirk." Kyudai said with some interest as his finger swiped multiple things on his screen.
"Quirkless in this day and age that is unique but ultimately of no consequence. This Izuku cannot become a Hero without a Quirk nor would any Hero School let him, having Toshinori Yagi crush that dream despite the fact that he was Quirkless before getting my One For All speaks volumes." All For One mused to his old friend and shifted his position in the chair slightly.
"That is not the most interesting thing." Kyudai said as he stopped swiping and seemed shocked at whatever was on the screen. "This boy is one of your descendants."
All For One had been alive for over 200 years thanks to Kyudai's Life Force and of course remaining at the age of a man in his prime also meant that All For One was as fertile as a man in his prime of life. As such the Archdemon of Japan had left many descendants over the years the lucky ones would be left alone but the unlucky would be taken by their ancestor to be recruited or worse as experimental subjects.
"Midoriya?" All For One questioned and then seemed to come to a realization, "The child of the woman with Pyrokinesis from Hokkaido." He confirmed with himself.
"Indeed, Midoriya Izuku and Midoriya Hisashi are your direct descendants from the line you started about 150 years ago. Midoriya Kaen was born with a Quirk similar to Endeavour's Hellflame it allowed her to create and manipulate fire but over time his Quirk became diluted due to interbreeding with weaker and incompatible Quirks. Midoriya Hisashi has the Fire Breath Quirk a huge degeneration from the original." Kyudai explained and his chair itself moved over to a nearby desk which had papers and a computer on it.
"A shame her Superpower was strong but not interesting enough for me to want it, after all elemental Quirks are usually straightforward and simple in application." All For One commented as he relaxed in his chair which was more like a hospital bed with various life support machines on the back and wired into his body.
The two old friends, a mad scientist and Archvillain of Japan fell back into silence Kyudai however made some noise as he clacked away on his keyboard and watched the information and graphs change as he altered data and entered new variables.
After some time he spoke up again, "Master I believe that I have a new interesting experiment to do." He announced.
"And what is that my friend." All For One answered him not annoyed but dispassionate even bored.
"All this time we have been experimenting on those with Quirks and the usual result is brain damage or their body breaking down due to the extra stress of handling more than one Quirk but what if the vessel was empty instead perhaps we should look into infusing Quirks into those without." Kyudai explained his chair turning around to face All For One.
"A Quirkless person's body would not be able to handle the influx of a Quirk being added." All For One argued more out of habit than any true disagreement.
"I believe it is more similar to an empty mug if the Quirk is compatible enough then the water shall fill the mug safely but if the Quirk is too strong or not compatible then the mug overflows or breaks in response. We simply need to find the golden point of filling the mug to its maximum without having it break or overflow." He explained and watched his Boss's face very closely.
After a few moments of silent contemplation All For One spoke up, "Very well what you say makes sense, I did after all give my weak younger brother a Quirk that even his frail body could handle. It very well may be the same for the Quirkless."
"I wish to use your descendant for this he is Quirkless but I would hope that he has a body compatible with multiple Quirks." Kyudai said as he went back to his computer and one of the many tanks began to drain.
"Go ahead I look forward to your results." All For One muttered going back to his neutral sitting stance.
"I shall not fail you." Kyudai vowed as one of his pale Noumu awoken with a wet gurgle.
The Next Day
Musutafu Streets
Izuku plodded along after another bad day at school, Kacchan had been his usual self only when he threatened him about attending UA and when Izuku had stayed quiet Kacchan took it as a sign of victory and declared to the class.
"Deku finally knows his place."
That had made Izuku die a little more on the inside and now he didn't feel like going home so he pulled out his phone and dialled one of the few numbers he had on it.
"Hey Mum, I'm going to study at the library for a while since I have exams coming up." He said to her once she picked up.
"Yes, I'll probably be late but don't worry I'll pick something up on the way home." He reassured her.
Izuku sighed when he finally got off the phone, all he wanted was some time alone to think about everything, about his life, about his future if he even had one. The library was the perfect place to just have some time alone to think as well as research his options.
As he was going through the quiet streets Izuku decided to take a shortcut through some side streets and back alleys in order to get to the library faster he did not have any real reason to be worried since his neighbourhood was under the jurisdiction of Kamui Woods a new but skilled Pro Hero and of course it was a rare occurrence for Villains to attack or even enter the area since it was just a residential district with it being comprised mostly of homes for families rather than having anything important or truly valuable.
Izuku made his way quickly and quietly, he felt like this was how he was going to spend the rest of his life, going quickly and trying to be unnoticed by other people.
'Maybe it's for the best, Quirkless people don't seem to get good jobs or anything so maybe I should just lie about a Quirk that can't be proved and keep to myself.' He thought to himself trudging along.
Then he felt a burning sensation on the back of his neck and he spun around his backpack flying behind him as well. Izuku's eyes looked around wildly scanning the entire alley behind him his pupils trembling. The sixth sense as most people called it really did exist but it was more instinct gained from thousands of years of evolution, most people could tell when they're being stared at and of course when you get a bad feeling about something you should probably listen to it since it is your unconscious mind warning your conscious mind about danger and that is what is screaming at Izuku right now.
"Who's there." He called out into the eery silence.
He waited a few moments and the feeling abated, "Guess I'm just paranoid." He muttered to himself and turned back around.
His world went black and the ground and sky disappeared, he felt tired like he was falling asleep despite the fact that he felt fine.
Just before the young boy fell to the ground he was caught by a pale figure which was then consumed in a black liquid leaving no trace that anything had ever happened in that alley.
Elsewhere
The black liquid erupted from Johnny and expanded within a few moments the pale Noumu Kyudai had sent out returned and held within two of the four arms was his newest test subject Midoriya Izuku a Quirkless child in a Quirk filled world.
A different part of the same lab, this one had shelves and shelves of jars which were filled with a liquid as well as what appeared to be a lump of something, it went from the top of the room to the bottom with hundreds of jars placed carefully on it in some sort of sorting system.
"Well done, even if the boy somehow managed to pick up on you." Kyudai complimented the mindless beast which simply placed Izuku on the waiting medical bed and then returned to it's empty tank.
Kyudai placed the thing in his arms down on the floor and it scurried of to the side out of the way.
"Natural Camouflage, Silent Step, High Speed, Chloroform Skin and Area Silence is a wonderful combination for capture but perhaps a warping ability would make it perfect." All For One's deep voice rang out from the darkness.
"Indeed if the Noumu had the ability to teleport in and out of an area after stalking and knocking out a target we would never have an issue with subjects again." Kyudai agreed with his lord.
All For One walked over to boy as the doctor began to prepare his tools and machines for his experiment, "This is the boy." He began to run his hands over Izuku's face and stared at him with an eyeless face.
"Yes I shall attempt to implant a duplicated Quirk in order to reduce the burden on his body and not waste a pure Quirk on him in case of failure." Kyudai explained as he began to type on his computer and the area seemed to come alive lights and monitors turning on as well.
All For One lifted one of Izuku's eyelids open and stared at the blank unconscious green eyes and seemed to freeze for a moment.
"Give him a duplicate of my own Ability." All For One ordered.
"What!" Kyudai exclaimed in shock and turned around to face his lord.
All For One turned away from the unconscious boy and faced his doctor, "We have one duplicate of All For One left, Nines was an interesting experiment but ultimately he is a failure due to the weakness of his body and Tomura is not ready yet."
"I thought that Tomura would become the new All For One, you already have a successor." Kyudai said back to him.
"He will be but there is no problem with having a backup plan, besides if you are going to do this experiment we might as well go with a Quirk that absorbs others into it's core." All For One explained with a smile on his face.
"The All For One duplicate is a pure strain untainted by other Quirks if his body can adapt to it then perhaps we could begin adding other Quirks in order to gauge just how much his empty vessel can take." Kyudai said with some excitement leaking into his voice.
"Indeed if this works then we can begin making Noumu from Quirkless and further advance their development and power." All For One agreed.
"Very well I shall prepare the Quirk for implantation." Kyudai said now clearly excited by the prospect.
He hit a few keys on his keyboard the row of jars shifted and moved like a conveyor until it a shelf that held a single jar was right next to him.
"Beginning procedure." The Doctor announced and took the jar off the shelf and walked next to the bed which had been prepared with all the medical tools he needed.
It would be a short operation implanting a single Quirk, Kyudai had a great amount of practice due to him developing the Noumu through surgery as well as with All For One's help so this would not take long for his practised hands.
A few short hours later and the surgery was complete and All For One had successfully been implanted with Midoriya Izuku the holes had already appeared on his palms and he had not gone into shock or show signs of Transplant Rejection or Autoimmune response which was a very good thing for everyone involved.
Kyudai immediately began tests on Izuku in order to gauge how well the Quirk had taken root as well as other tests for his health. Those tests only took around 10 minutes to complete and the results were printed off quickly as Kyudai went over them and his eyes widened once he saw a certain result.
"Sensei you must see this." The shocked Doctor said his hands shaking holding out the piece of paper.
All For One took the paper and ran his fingers over it, a Quirk called Sensitivity it allowed him to pick up the differences between the ink and paper to All For One it was like reading Braille.
"He has 99.97% compatibility with my power." Even the Archdemon of Japan could be surprised it seems.
"Yes this is the highest I have ever saw for a transplanted Quirk none of the Noumu have ever reached this level of compatibility before." Kyudai seemed for once to be in genuine shock.
"None of my sons, daughters or numerous descendants have ever shown to inherit my All For One, they have always either inherited their mother's Ability or some form of one of my many Quirks that I had at the time of conception, I simply believed that it was due to the amount of Quirks present in my DNA but perhaps it is because my own Quirk is recessive in nature." All For One opined more to himself than his Doctor.
"That would indeed make sense, you are a First Generation Quirk user and it was not until the Second Generation that Quirks truly blossomed." Kyudai said as he turned to stare at the boy on the medical table.
"I suppose we should implant additional Quirks within him as a test only some minor Quirks, perhaps Minor Regeneration, a booster Quirk and an obvious Emitter type." All For One said as he stood from his medical chair.
"Why an obvious Emitter?" Kyudai questioned as he followed him master to the boy.
"Because how else will he know he now has a Quirk or even multiple Quirks without it being obvious, enhancing his body alone will not truly clue him into what has happened." All For One explained as he placed a hand on the boys head.
"Minor Regeneration, A copy of Springlike Limbs, Physical Enhancement and a duplicate of Air Canon. These Quirks would not make even the weakest Noumu so this is a good test of his body." All For One announced as red tinged black lightning sparked from his hand on Izuku's head as he placed the Quirks within his body.
Izuku seemed to shake and spasm in bed but once All For One took his hand away he settled down back into a fitful sleep.
"I also used Memory Manipulation to create some false memories of his time today." All For One told his Doctor.
"His mind will fill in the gap of memory." Kyudai deduced as he looked over the boy and his slightly changed brainwaves.
"I will send him to a room and observe him." Kyudai said as he gestured for another Noumu creature that scurried over and jumped into his arms.
"No send him home, I wish to release the boy into the wild, observe his choices and see what path he will choose with my power." All For One said as he sat down.
"If that is your will, I shall have Johnny-Chan send him to his room and keep him under observation." Kyudai said to his saviour though he did not understand why All For One would just let him go after investing so much into the boy.
'Perhaps it is some form of paternal love or he simply could be curious about if the boy will follow his path.' Kyudai thought as he turned the dial on Johnny and black liquid erupted out of the abomination.
The liquid consumed Izuku and within seconds he was gone from the lab like he was never there just like the alleyway.
"I do wonder where his choices shall take him, will he follow my path or perhaps my brothers and become a slave to the government." All For One mused aloud his voice thick with anticipation.
"Maybe he will take a third way." Kyudai offered.
"Maybe he will though I would very much like to see what a third road would look like for someone like me." All For One said back.
Kyudai did not respond instead he went back to his computer and looked over all the new data he had collected from this little experiment with a Quirkless child it had certainly been worth the time invested now that he had a new data point to consider in regards to his creation of Noumu.
The Next Day
Midoriya Household
Izuku did not feel good when he woke up in fact it felt like his entire body had been put through a meat grinder then drove over by a very large truck.
"Ow." He complained as he brought his hands to his head covering his eyes. He also had unfortunately a massive headache like something was trying to break out of his skull.
As he ran his hands over his aching head he felt something on his hands like small bumps, he opened his eyes and they widened in shock when he saw two little holes right in the centre of both of his palms both were no bigger than the tip of his pinky finger.
"What." He said dumbly still staring at the two little holes.
He ran his fingers over the one on his left hand, it was definitely there he could feel the bump he was even tempted to stick a finger inside but decided against it just as he was about to do it anyway he was interrupted.
"IZUKU Breakfast!" Inko shouted from the kitchen, snapping out his revelry with the holes.
"Coming." He called back and stood up from his bed and nearly collapsed back onto it because of the vertigo that hit him.
"Something's happened to me, I barely remember getting home last night." He muttered to himself.
Izuku made his way to the dining table and basically collapsed into his seat, Inko looked at him worriedly.
"Are you okay honey?" Inko asked him as she placed his breakfast down.
"I feel really tired like I've ran a hundred races." Izuku complained as he dug in.
"Maybe you should just rest for today after all there's no school today." Inko said to him as she sat down and began eating as well.
"Mmmh." Izuku grunted in agreement with his mouth full.
"Just take it easy and enjoy your day off." Inko advised her son.
"Okay." Izuku agreed with her and continued to eat.
Izuku was careful to hide the new additions to his hands always keeping them palm down and being careful about where he put his hands. But even with that he had a nice breakfast with his mum by the time they had finished the sun was going high in the sky.
Izuku went back to his room and once he sat down at his desk he went right back to holes in his palm this time however he did what was familiar and began to write in a new journal this one was decorated with Kamui Woods and trees.
"So I have a fuzzy memory of yesterday and today I wake up with holes in my that look like a Quirk." Izuku reasoned to himself and despite the terror he should be feeling, he could not help but feel excitement and hope bloom in his chest at the very idea of him getting a Quirk.
"The first thing I should do is test it. Find a place with open space and privacy then see if I can actually do anything." He continued muttering to himself as his pen flew across the page with theories.
"Obviously something to do with my hands maybe shooting an element or energy from the holes or it could even be more like Thirteen and suck things into it." He continued on and on unaware to the world.
Eventually his musings came to an end and the dark green haired boy looked at his limited edition All Might clock which was showing that 12:00 he had spent his entire morning on just pure speculation.
"Well I best get going out." He said to himself standing up and stretching before walking over to his wardrobe.
Later
Takoba Municipal Beach Park
Izuku looked around at the trash filled beach with a disgusted look wrinkling his nose at the smell it was disgusting but it was private no one came here any more since it was turned into a dumping ground for trash and discarded things.
"The perfect place for me." He said aloud as he walked amongst the trash. "Best get started then."
He held out his hand and concentrated he never had a Quirk so honestly he had no idea on how to even use it. Izuku shut his eyes to help him and he grabbed his outstretched right arm with his left and concentrated solely on it.
At first there was nothing but then Izuku began to see something even with his eyes shut, he could see a giant star it was burning white in a void and Izuku could even see smaller stars surrounding it moving around like planets orbiting the sun. He felt one moving towards him and then a pressure built up in his arm, the pressure seemed to gather right in his forearm and felt like it was getting tighter and tighter.
Izuku's eyes opened from the strain and he let the pressure out, Izuku did not expect for a huge blast of air to erupt from his hand and smash right through all the debris and garbage of course Izuku was not prepared for that and when the blast of air went forward his body was flung backwards from the force and he crashed into a heap of garbage.
"Ow, ow ow." Izuku moaned in pain as he slowly sat up from where he crashed into a pile of garbage.
"That was a shock." He said as he brought one hand up to rub his head.
He opened both eyes and looked down at his left hand and went green and pale at the same time, there was a huge piece of glass pierced right through his palm, "Urgh." He let out and almost threw up at the sight and blood.
"Need to get it out and disinfect it." He muttered as he remembered the basic first aid his mum taught him when he was younger.
Izuku reached up with a shaky hand and slowly pulled the glass out of his hand, he winced and groaned in pain with every inch of glass he pulled out of his hand. It took around a minute for him to pull it fully out and he threw the glass over his shoulder it shattering as it hit someone's fridge.
"Oh that's weird." Izuku commented to himself as he inspected the wound, it was originally a deep and large cut but right now it was shrinking and healing before his eyes, he could actually see the wound stitching itself back together slowly but surely it healed before his eyes and left nothing but the blood around itself.
Izuku just sat there shocked staring at his bloody but healed hand, this was not normal there was no relation between shooting blasts of air and healing did this mean he had two Quirks but that was impossible in the entire 2-3 hundred years of Quirks existing there had never been a person born with two Quirks.
"There was that one rumour on the dark web." He muttered to himself and finally pulled himself up to stand again.
"That thing I saw the giant star and it had things orbiting is that the Quirks within me?" He questioned aloud and looked up at the sky and then he realised that a lot of time had passed since he got here.
"One more try." He said instead of listening to his good reason.
Izuku held out his arm again and braced himself this time, standing with his legs equal to his shoulders and one arm bracing the other. This time he kept his eyes open and concentrated on the same feeling of pressure in his arm, this time it came quickly and easily and he let out another blast of air this time it was weaker than the first one.
"Is the amount of time I spend on gathering air equal to the force generated for the blast? That means that it's and Emitter type which is based on the manipulation of air rather than producing the air blast from my body." Izuku began his typical Quirk muttering as he began to analyse what happened to himself.
The his phone rang and knocked him out of his Quirk induced stupor, he took out his phone and saw the only name he expected to be on it, Mum of course he answered it right away.
"Hey Mum." He answered.
"Izuku were are you it's getting late." She demanded.
"Ah I went for a walk and lost track of time, sorry," He apologised rubbing his head.
"Well young man I think you've spent enough time out of contact so get home for dinner." Inko said to her son.
"Yes I'll come back right away." Izuku gave in right away.
He said goodbye and put his phone back in his pocket, he looked around at the destruction he unleashed from his hand, it didn't really make a difference only pushing the garbage into piles and creating a small path.
"I can always come back in my spare time." Izuku decided and began to make his way home.
He made his way out of the disgusting beach and started on the way back home talking a quick path through the streets but as he made his way he saw an adult man standing at the corner of the street he needed to get home.
Izuku gulped and kept walking hoping that nothing would happen, just because this area had a low crime rate did not mean that no crime happened at all and there was the occasional small mugging or other low level criminal activity.
He looked around 30 years old and was wearing a trench coat which covered most of his body and a bandana was covering his hair, the only thing Izuku could see where black eyes and a strong lantern jaw.
"Hey Kid." The man called out to him as Izuku tried to make his way past.
"Y-yes." Izuku answered and regretted it right away.
"Hand over your phone and any money." He threatened and blocked Izuku's way. His huge body looming over the child.
Izuku did not answer and instead just stared terrified at the huge man who seemed to lose his patience with Izuku and put a huge hand on his shoulder.
"Hand it over now." He nearly shouted and began to shake him.
"G-Get Off!" Izuku shouted as he brought both his small hands up on the huge arms that held him.
"Give me everything." He was shouting now. "Or you'll get your skull caved in with my fists of Iron." The thief held up one hand and it turned black and gained a metallic sheen.
"NO!" Izuku screamed and black lighting erupted from both his hands that was gripping his shoulder.
'Take it.' A voice urged him one, coming from deep within.
The thief began to scream as well and his fist turned back to normal and his eyes rolled up into the back of his head, his grip on Izuku weakened and then dropped the boy as he collapsed into a heap on the floor and began to spasm like he was having a fit.
"What happened, what did I do?" Izuku hysterically asked himself staring at the violently twitching man.
Izuku panicked and ran away from him towards home, towards his Mum and safety.
Midoriya Apartment
Izuku with shaking hands got out his key to the door and after two tries managed to get the key into the lock and opened the door, he swung it open and kicked of his red shoes and walked into the dining room where his Mum was happily cooking away humming a tune to herself.
"Mum I'm Home." He called to her and she seemed to perk up at his voice.
"Welcome home Dinner will be done soon." She answered without turning around which was a good thing since she did not see her pale and shaking son.
"I'll be in my room." He said managing to school his voice into not shaking or scared.
He quickly made his way to his room and collapsed onto his chair and his head slammed into his desk.
"Ow." He complained as his forehead smacked the table.
After a few minutes of sitting with his hot forehead on the cool desk he lifted himself up and took stock.
"Why do I feel so energised." He said to himself, ever since that thing with the lightning he felt a lot better like he got a huge dose of energy injected right into his system.
He held out his hand and looked at the hole on his palm, "What did I do?" That man had a star within him and Izuku felt like he reached out and took it.
Then to Izuku's shock his hand began to darken before his eyes and become metallic, "No I took it!" He breathed out in shock staring in horror at his now iron fist.
"A Quirk that takes Quirks; a Villainous Quirk." Izuku said to himself his brain barely able to function due to the shock.
This was not what he was expecting when he woke up in the morning, to get not only a Quirk but also one of the mythical Quirk types that many believed did not really exist; A Quirk which affects other Quirks the only other one he knew about of the top of his head was the Underground Hero Eraserhead and his Quirk Erasure which stopped Quirk activation.
"I can't become a Hero with this." He said in despair staring at his hands.
'What else can I do, I must have been given this Quirk for a reason.' His mind was racing with possibilities and options he could do.
Izuku leaned back in his chair and looked around his room it was still decorated with all of his rare All Might merch as well as a small assortment of other Heroes merchandise, as his eyes went over the room it eventually reached one of his bookcases and he went over their titles most of the top shelves were dedicated to his journals on Quirk analysis but as he went lower he saw the books he bought over the years and his eyes settled on one book 'History of Pro Heroes: Volume 1 Vigilantes' it was written by an American Luke Thompson he lived in Rhode Island before the advent of the Hero System when Vigilante's ruled the streets.
"Vigilante." Izuku said in wonder as the idea took root in his head.
He could still be a Hero and save people but it would be without any government funding or support but at least he wouldn't have to explain his Quirk and he could keep his identity a secret there wouldn't be any of the paperwork or licenses required by real Pro Heroes.
The more he thought about it the more the idea appealed to him, Izuku knew deep down that he could never be like All Might and be the Number 1 Hero that kind of life was for Kacchan but not for him.
"I'll be a Vigilante." Izuku decided aloud. "I will be the protector from the shadows a Vigilante can do what Heroes can't."
Izuku looked at his thin arms and slight frame, "Maybe I should work out more as well." He said with a frown.
This is the change in course of fate, Midoriya Izuku would with his newly given Quirk would walk the path that many cannot on the line between Angels and Demons, Heroes and Villains it was a life that not many would choose willingly but Izuku was not most people he had the willpower and determination to walk the path unflinchingly.
This was the origin of the most famous Vigilante in the world the man known as Maverick.
AN:
Well here's my first crack at a MHA fanfic and of course I had to do an Izuku has AFO story. This is my take on that popular genre and I did not want to do the AFO is Izuku's dad path so instead I decided on making him a distant descendant instead, so there is a distance between the two of them since that has been done to death.
Also did you know in the anime they made AFO's brother have the same green eyes as Izuku I personally really like that concept. Also anyone else really enjoying the lore stuff being dropped after the Paranormal Liberation Front Arc, cause I am.
Hope you all enjoyed this first chapter.
