Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 6
As they drove through the city Penelope sighed happily as she watched the scenery go past her window, she then felt his hand touch hers, she looked at him and smiled brightly. Derek said, "you okay sweetness"?, she said, "yeah fine, why hotstuff"/, he said, "I was calling your name for a few minutes and you didn't respond so I thought that something was wrong".
She shook her head and said, "no nothing's wrong handsome, I was just looking out the window at all of the beautiful scenery and kinda zoned out I guess", he laughed and said, "well that happens sometimes I guess". Penelope said, "soooooo where are we going angel fish'?, Derek said, "we're here" and she looked to see they had pulled up in front of a high school.
Derek said, "I want to show you around my old stomping grounds", she laughed and said, "I can just imagine you running around on that football field looking all hot and sexy" causing Derek to laugh. He said, "far from it sweetness, I didn't really start developing until like my junior year and then I guess I did alright for myself" and Penelope said, "well of course you did, you are The Derek Morgan, the sexiest man in Chicago, if not the entire world".
He laughed and said, "soooo you think I'm sexy huh"? as he leaned in toward her, she said, "you are the sexiest man I have ever laid my little peepers on, you are a God among mere mortals". Derek said, "I love you", she winked at him and said, "and I love you" as he leaned in and brushed his lips against hers in a passionate kiss.
They pulled apart and he said, "even though the school is going on I got permission to show you around" so he got out of the SUV and walked around to her side of the vehicle and opened her door. He held out his hand and she slid her hand in his and then slid out of the car and stood looking around at the huge school.
Derek intertwined fingers with her as they made their way toward the front door of the school, they were met by the old school guard who waved at Derek and said, "long time to see Derek, how have you been"?, Derek said, "just fine Mr. Owens, just fine", he then wrapped his arm around Penelope and said, "this is my baby girl, this is Penelope Garcia" causing Mr. Owens to smile and say, "she's as beautiful as you said she was".
Penelope blushed and said, "thank you Mr. Owens", he shook her hand and said, "please call me John", Penelope said, "it's nice to meet you John" and he nodded his head and said, "nice to meet you too Penelope". They stayed and talked to John for a few minutes before making their way around to some of his favorite places like the gym, the library and then finally they were out on the football field.
Derek said, "this place changed my life, if it hadn't been for football I don't know what I would have done after what happened with Carl", Penelope intertwined fingers with him and said, "he can't hurt you anymore hotstuff". Derek sighed and said, "so true sweetness, soooooooooo true" as they stood around looking at the field as he told her about some of his best times there.
Soon they were leaving the school and heading toward one of his favorite places, the park, when they got there Derek said, "well I'll be" and then looked at Penelope and said, "that's one of my old friends from high school, that's Scott Miller aka T-bone". Penelope said, "uhhh T-bone" and Derek laughed and said, "yeah because in high school the girls all thought he was an excellent piece of meat" causing Penelope to laugh.
As they got out of the SUV Derek said, "T-bone my man how are you"?, Scott said, "Derek Morgan as I live and breathe, how are you doin man" as the two men hugged and as they pulled away Scott said ,"and who is the fineeeee woman you got traveling with you"?, Derek said, "T-bone this is my girl, this is Penelope Garcia, aka baby girl".
Scott said, "noooo way, this is her, this is your baby girl"?, Derek said "the one and only man, the one and only", Penelope said, "it's nice to meet you Scott" and he said, "please call me T-bone, everybody does". She laughed and said, "it's nice to meet you T-bone", he winked at her and said, "the feeling is mutual Penelope, the feeling is mutual".
The trio stood there talking for a few minutes and found Scott talked about his wife Charlene and his kids, he was one of the proudest fathers around, Penelope said, "your wife sounds amazing". Scott said, "how long are you guys here for this trip"?, Derek said, "we'll be here a week" causing Scott to say how about we get together tomorrow night that way Penelope can meet my girl and we can spend the evening getting caught up on old times".
Derek looked at Penelope and said, "what about it goddess"?, Penelope said, "that sounds like fun", Derek then looked at Scott and said, "count us in, we'll see ya tomorrow evening". Scott said, "how about around 5:00", Derek shook hands with his friend and said, "alright 5 it is, catch ya later man" and Scott nodded his head yes as he watched Derek and Penelope head back toward their SUV.
