Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 11
The next morning Fran couldn't help but smile as she watched her son and Penelope walk down the stairs for breakfast hand-in-hand, they walked over and sat down at the table and Derek said, "gooddddddd morning everybody". Desi said, "what's got you so chipper again this morning big brother"?, Penelope blushed and took a sip of her coffee while Derek said, "my life is going great Desi, I have the love of my life here with me and I'm with my beautiful mom and sisters, so what more could a man ask for"?, the three Morgan women looked at each other and then smiled.
As they ate breakfast Fran said, "so Penelope how was your dinner with T and Char"?, Penelope said, "ohhhh I had an amazing time with them, they are such wonderful people", Fran said, "I would have to agree with you there". While Fran and Penelope were carrying on one conversation Sarah looked at her brother and said, "can you do me a favor today"?, he said, "yeah, sure, what do you need"?, Sarah said, "can you stop by M & T and pick up some more chairs and tables"?, Derek said, "yeah, sure".
Desi said, "we should be having a house full this year and we need more chairs and tables", Derek said, "do you mind if I use your truck to pick them up"?, Desi said, "sure, go ahead, no problem, I'll just hang around with sis today". Derek laughed and said, "did you already call and talk to Mr. Miller and tell him what you needed"?, Sarah said, "yeah, he's got the order ready and waiting for pickup".
Penelope laughed and said, "are you serious"?, Fran said, "I'm serious and he was adorable", Derek looked at his mom and said, "what embarrasing story are you telling on me now"?, Penelope said, "awwww I bet you looked so cute running around in the backyard naked screaming".
Derek said, "hey, in my defense I was only 4 years old" and Sarah laughed and said, "trueeee but it was still funny to watch and who would have thought that the big bad FBI agent was afraid of a bug". Derek said, "ma she's picking on your boy", Fran said, "Sarah don't be picking on your brother", Derek stuck his tongue out and said, "thank you momma", Penelope rolled her eyes and everybody laughed.
A few minutes later Derek looked at Penelope and said, "would you like to come with me to pick up some extra tables and chairs"?, she said, "sure" and grabbed her things and followed him out the door. It wasn't long and they were pulling up in front of M & T's to pick up what they needed, when they walked into the store Mr. Miller said, "Derek Morgan, welcome home son", Derek said, "thank you Mr. Miller, it's good to be home".
Mr. Miller's eyes went to Penelope and Derek said, "this beautiful woman here is my girl, this is my baby girl", Mr. Miller smiled and said, "it's nice to finally get to meet you Penelope, I've heard so much about you from our boy here". Penelope said, "it's nice to meet you too Mr. Miller", he grinned and said, "please call me Pete, that's what my friends call me", Penelope said, "it's nice to meet you Pete".
Penelope was standing and talking to Pete while Derek helped the workers load the extra tables and chairs into the back of Desi's truck, he turned when he heard his name being called. The smile fell from his face as he saw the woman walking up to him, the woman was an ex girlfriend from high school named Rachel, she said, "hi Derek baby, it's good to see you again".
Derek said, "oh hey Rachel", he then thanked the workers for loading the extra items they needed and then said, "well have a good Thanksgiving Rachel", he then turned and walked inside to thank Pete and get his baby girl. When he got inside the two were laughing and talking, Derek walked over and wrapped his arm around his baby girl and said, "ready to go"?, she said, "ready when you are".
As they started walking away Rachel said, "how long are you in town for Derek baby"?, Derek closed his eyes and blew out a breath and said, "me and baby girl are here until Sunday and then we're flying back home". Rachel said, "baby girl, as in Penelope Garcia, the girl I've heard so much about"?, Derek said, "yes, the one and only", Penelope kept looking from the woman back to Derek and back to the woman waiting on him to introduce her.
Derek finally saw that Rachel wasn't going to leave so he said, "baby girl this is Rachel, we went to high school together", Rachel said, "we did a lot more than that Derek Morgan and you know it". Penelope looked at Derek who smiled down at her and said, "yeah we dated in high school but those times are over, I grew up and got myself a real woman", Rachel said, "a real woman huh, what's so hot about her, she ain't nothing".
Derek started to step forward but Penelopes hand went to his chest to stop him, instead she said, "Derek and I are dating, we're lovers so I would appreciate it if you would stop talking to us and stay away" Rachel said, "just who do you think you are talking to me like that, what Derek and I had was special and their is nothing you can do to stop that bond, tramp".
Penelope said, "who you callin tramp, you're the woman pushing herself into our conversation, trying to muscle in on my man, he's with me and it's sooooooo obvious that he ain't wanting nothing to do with your skanky butt so be like a tree and leave", Rachel said, "well I never" and Penelope said, "and with that attitude you never will either", she then looked at Derek and said, "you ready to go hotstuff"?, he intertwined fingers with her and said, "more than ready sweetness".
Rachel stood there with her mouth open watching Derek and Penelope as they walked out of store, climbed into Desi's truck and pulled away from the curb, she couldn't believe that she had just been spoken to like that, she threw up her hand and said, "well their are better men out there for me, Derek can have that tramp and I'll move on to a bigger fish", she laughed and walked out of the store and up the street trying to put as much distance between her and Penelope as possible.
Derek looked at Penelope and said, "that was awesome baby girl, I love the way you told her off" Penelope said, "I'm sorry if I said something that I shouldn't have but she made me mad acting the way she did". Derek brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it and said, "you didn't do anything wrong, you, baby girl were amazingggg and I can't wait to get home and tell momma and the girls about it".
A few minutes later Sarah, Desi and Fran were all smiles as Derek told them what happened between Rachel and Penelope, the girls grinned and Sarah said, "I never liked her anyway, she was always to uppity" causing Desi and her mother to nod their heads yes in agreement.
As Derek, Sarah and Desi unloaded the extra tables and chairs Fran and Penelope sat talking and drinking hot cocoa and not normal cocoa but Fran Morgan's special holiday cocoa. When the Morgan children were finished unloading their stuff they headed back inside to enjoy some delicious cocoa with their mom and Penelope.
